The amount of activity when Nica and Tali were still racing here was awesome. ;o;

Cough >_>
It was stupid, spammy and unwanted. And in their absense we've developed prolonged discussions from phobias to computers to housekeeping to bullying. And the majority of the people seem to prefer it that way. So we intend to do our utmost to stamp out one line posts and get everybody to "follow the leader" in actually conversing in here, rather than just boosting their post count and racing to the top of the Posting Table.

Hah.. I understand the change, but am not impressed personally. It's alright for a change, but you look down on the shorter posts too much. Afterall those shorter, speedy posts fit the definition of "chit chat." But it is true more people have joined in the posting here after the change, even though the posting frequency went down drastically. *Shrug*

I don't look down on "shorter" posts at all. I've said multiple times in this thread that I don't expect every single post to be epic. The "shorter, speedy posts" that you referred to aren't the definition of chit chat. It's mindless babble, generated for sole purpose of increasing post count and improving their position on the Posting Table.

Just go back and read the posts from about the 5th of the month, that isn't chit chat. Most of it is just repeating something mulitiple times. And not once was a topic expanded and developed by those people. And why not? Because it'd take too long, they'd lose out on precious posts. And those are the types of posts we don't want.

Just look back to last night's posts when we were discussing Scrubs. Those replies were coming relatively fast, yet they were still of a respectable length and, for the most part, added to the conversation. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Hah... that explains some attitudes, but it's not entirely correct. It's their style of communication that you particularly mind. If you talk to those people on IM, you'll notice they're no different there. I agree repetitive posts are very very annoying, as this isn't like IRL where when something isn't heard it has to be repeated, but putting the repetition aside, those "shorty, speedy" posts don't deserve to be called mindless babble. :P Just their way of having their "everyday chit chat." :P

That's exactly the point. IM - instant message. This is a forum, where you don't have to type out short messages as quick as possible, you have time to make decent responses. That's what a forum is for - discussions. Look up the definition if you want to, every one will say the same thing. A forum is an online community for discussing topics and interests. And the DCC should be no different.

If certain people feel that they don't have the mental capacity to communicate properly (which is entirely untrue because one of the accused made a very decent reply during the bullying topic) with the rest of us and can only speak in short sentences, then maybe they need to avoid the DCC altogether.

And the constant discussions about being the #1 poster in the DCC didn't do them any favours either.

EDIT: And now you're banned again. I guess this discussion is over and the thread kill can begin.

Well... that was interesting, lets hope it never happens again. =x

No more final projects for this semester, yay! Now I only have to do exams next week~

You're really lucky o_o; I have so much to do~
I have a CPT (Major project) due Wednesday for art, an essay due Monday for English, a presentation and 3 articles due for Writer's Craft, and a large-scale drawing due for art before my exams ._.;;~

@@ Then again.. I only have one major exam.. and one easy in-class exam ._. So neh~

The only work I have to do before I go back to school is this stupid assingment that I'm too lazy to start cause' it's so stupid. And that's my stupid reason.

I got my report back today, I got really really crap attendance, but I can't really be blamed for some reasons and stuff, I guess. I've beaten like.. half of my yearly targets, I thought i'd actually do better in Maths though, seeing as that's one of the only subjects that I'm actually really good at, along with Drama and IT. I didn't get chance to read many of it, and plus I was half asleep as it was just as I got into school, it really sucks when you need to do something important and you do it spent half asleep, like Christmas Morning. xD;

My report for last term was... Okay, I guess. I was just disappointed about my grade in English. Oh well... I was never good at it from the beggining anyway. And I didn't get so well for PE, but I'm never good at PE, so I'm fine with that. All in all, I was happy about my reports. Can't wait for the next one to come out this term, I believe... >_>

I read my report like..in November. Everyone except me loved my report. I was expecting higher and everyone else expected adverage, how could I do good if everyone thought adverage was good.

I think Chemistry is... Okay, I guess. Well, it's a lot easier than Maths, in my opinion. Math hurts my head... A lot.

o_o I agree~ I used to be good at Math, but not anymore now~ ._.;; Neh~ Last year I had to study really really hard and I still ended up with a bad mark ._.;;
I think you just either get math, or don't get it. (Which sucks ._.~)

Math does get a lot harder as you progress. I used to be good at math too, but now I'm going over some stuff I've already done to catch up. XD; I was in the chemistry building today; it looks scary. Science is even worse than math. :x

Math gets very hard. What we're doing right now is so hard, that most of the people in my class don't even get it. So every lesson, we all have to ask our teacher for help. The good thing is my Math teacher is quite nice, and explains everything clearly...

Yeah.. well grade 9 math.. was really easy ._.;; I was doing SO well and I wasn't even trying..
Grade 10 and 11 math was horrible, though.. I studied really hard and I had good teachers.. but the tests would look totally different from the homework and it was really hard ._.;~

I've always found math really difficult. x_x It makes me feel bad because all my friends are good at it. I study hard and everything, do all my homework, go in for extra help...it doesn't make any difference. I just forget everything. XD; I'm going to really suffer over the next few years at highschool.

Meh, I usually find Math pretty easy, but we've had a really easy year so far. My teacher is really lazy, so he has a rule that if you get an A on the pretest, you don't have to take the unit. XD Things really are supposed to get harder next year though.

I took my ASVAB test yesterday and the math part wasn't so difficult to evaluate. It was some mix of algebra and geometry, ... it's not so bad if you know your formulas. But I was interrupted by a leg hanging from the ceiling.
