The Pokemon Adventure: Kanto Region

(ooc: The ending will surprise you, maybe. Also, I don't really like the talking Eevee either. A little trivia, this arc's chapter title is the ONLY first draft title I ever used. Oh, and this is short, you'll see why in the chapter.)
Episode 42: The Eevee and the Ivysaur (Part 2)

Chris layed down against the grass, relieved that he got away from the homicidal bikers.

"I'm sorry for putting you in trouble." Said the Eevee to Chris, since now the trainer was to be killed by any biker on the spot.

"It's okay, I'm already under target by: A nutty pirate captain, a sailor, a bounty hunter, Team Rocket, two shadowy people, a mad supergenius, Misty, and Girl Scout troop 431. I'm sure adding bikers to the list won't hurt." Said Chris taking out a list. Eevee blanked out at the last name Chris read off. "What? Those girl scouts are monsters! One of them can beat up the toughest man in Pallet Town."(Kinda sad, isn't it folks)

"Oookay." Said Eevee weirded out by the long list of enemies Chris has. (Makes you kinda feel sorry for him, doesn't it) "You are an enemy magnet, aren't you?"

"Yes..." Said Chris bummed out at that. "I am... and I get the feeling that it will double or triple by the time I get done with this journey."

"Oh... I only have those bikers as human enemies." Said Eevee thinking that this guy must have upset some god in his past life.

"Oh, well you're not too lucky, for just about anyone w- wait, what's that noise?" Asked Chris. And in moments the bikers burst from the bushes and circled around Chris, Eevee, and Ivysaur whom since she couldn't really talk, never got in the way.

"Just hand over that Eevee, and no one gets hurt." Said the lead biker as he turned in to the circle before taking a pokeball out.

"Bring it on." Said Chris as Ivysaur stepped up to fight. The biker laughed before riding towards Chris, grabbing his belt which held his pokemon, and threw it into a tree, allowing it to hang there.

"Heh, all you have right now are that Ivysaur, and your Eevee." Said the leader Biker as he sent out an Arbok (Level 27)

"Ivysaur, use Razor Leaf!" Yelled Chris. Ivysaur fired the leaves, but Arbok was able to dodge them all.

"Arbok, use Toxic." Said the Biker Leader, but appearantly he forgot that Ivysaur was part Poison Type as the attack didn't work.

"Use Tackle now!" Yelled Chris. Ivysaur went in for a Tackle, but Arbok bit Ivysaur with an Ice Fang. "No!"

"I-Ivysaur." Cried Ivysaur as it fell to the ground. Chris ran over to the fallen plant while the biker leader laughed.

"Arbok, capture the Eevee." Said the Biker leader(Who I will dub as Bob to stop awkward paragraph switches and to make it easier.). Arbok slithered over towards Eevee, but was wrapped by three vines. Ones near the head, ones around the hood, and ones around the tail.

"Aarbok!" Yelled the snake before going forward, dragging Ivysaur with it, so Chris grabbed Ivysaur's vines and pulled as well, but Arbok soon broke free of the wrappings and grabbed the trapped Eevee, before squeezing it until it passed out and throwing it to Bob, who immedately stuffed it into a sack.

"Heh, you failed." Said Bob who then kicked Chris out of the circle of bikes who have stopped since Eevee was caught. "We will make a fortune off of this Eevee." But before he could ride away, Ivysaur wrapped her vines around Eevee before trying to pull it out, but Bob started riding around, causing Ivysaur to let go to avoid serious head damage. "You are persistant little plant, for that, I'll leave you alive, but that doesn't mean we will just turn the other cheek." The bikers than started to beat up Ivysaur.

"No!" Yelled Chris as he punched a random biker, but since he was just a kid he hurt his hand. "Ow!" The bikers just laughed before starting to beat him up too. Bob then threw the half frozen Ivysaur, and Chris into a tree before riding away with the Eevee. "I failed to save that Eevee." Said Chris as he and Ivysaur fell unconscious.

(ooc: You probably didn't see that coming. Bob and the bikers will come back, but not the talking Eevee. Oh, I just remembered that Chris's Pokedex is still busted, should I get it fixed, or have Chris use his brother's journal(Key item) to identify unknown pokemon?)

Gold woke up early the next morning when the sun was only first rising. The Pokemon Center was dead silent with everyone still sleeping. Gold quietly grabbed his hat and both Pidgeotto and Larvitar and exited the Pokemon Center.

As Gold walked out into the morning light, he wondered which building was the tower. He looked around until his arm was tugged by a small girl.

"Mister, do you believe in ghosts?" she asked. Her voice was mystified and mysterious sounding as if she were a ghost herself.

"No, not really. Maybe wandering spirits or whatever, but not actual ghosts," Gold replied.

"Well, they're real alright. They right there in the Pokemon Tower," the girl said while pointing her finger at a tall building in the corner of town.

"Yeah…I'm just going there to battle a little. I don't need any crud put in my head about ghosts," Gold said. The little girl laughed, which sent chills down Gold.

"You'll soon see," she said.

"Okay…" Gold jerked his arm away and ran towards the building the girl pointed at. What a creepy kid that was. The only reason he was going to the tower was to train Larvitar, not live Halloween in the middle of summer. He didn't even like Halloween that much. Ghosts were all just a big joke to him. It was just some dumb little thing to scare five year olds and turn older people crazy about "hunting" them or something weird like that.

He got to the building and creaked open the door. Inside the building was dark, and even a little chilly. Gold adjusted his jacket and walked in and found himself surrounded by multiple tombstones. He bent down and read one.

Here lies Chelsea's Beloved Raichu. May You Rest in Peace.

Gulp. This place was a giant graveyard filled up with deceased pokemon. He couldn't imagine losing one of his pokemon. It made him feel sorry for the people who did lose them so he stopped for a moment in respect in honor of all the pokemon that lay in the building.

Gold then spotted a set of stairs and slowly walked up them. They creaked with each step, so Gold picked it up to where he got to the top quickly. It was a lot emptier up on the floor with random, blank tombstones thrown all over the place. The room was somewhat shrouded, but Gold could still tell that there were no trainers to be seen.

"There isn't anybody here!" he shouted.

"Is there?"

The loud, mystified voice filled the whole room in a booming voice, making Gold jump.

"Wh- who said that?" he stuttered.

He whipped his head forward, and suddenly, something appeared right in front of his face making him shout and fall backwards on his back. He quickly sat up and looked at the thing. It was a large purple thing just floating in the air. It had two large hands and jagged front teeth that showed quite well. Gold looked at it and had to admit. It looked like…. a ghost. He quickly pulled out his pokedex.

Haunter, the Gas Pokemon, read the pokedex. It can slip through any obstacle. It lurks inside walls to keep an eye on its foes.

"So there are actual ghost pokemon?!" Gold shouted. He stumbled through his pockets and found his two pokeballs: Larvitar and Pidgeotto. He looked at both of them and plucked out Larvitar's ball. This would be the perfect moment for him to battle with him.

"Larvitar, go!" Gold shouted. He threw the pokeball and his new pokemon appeared. It didn't look pumped at all. It had his head bent down and his back at Gold. Gold could see the long scar running down its back.

Haunter laughed loudly making Larvitar jump bad and look straight at the ghost pokemon.

"Larvitar, get your head in the game, please!" Gold shouted. Larvitar turned around and frowned at his new trainer. Gold sighed and bent down. He forgot he needed to be a bit friendlier to Larvitar than his other pokemon.

Haunter suddenly charged forward with one of its large hands in the air with shrouded black mist in the air. Gold suddenly jumped back in the battle.

"Larvitar, look out!" Gold shouted.

Larvitar looked ahead and leaped out of the way just in enough time for Haunter to just punch air. It looked shocked back at Gold as if it was his fault that the pokemon almost got hit.

"Larvitar, do not worry about that. Hit Haunter with a thrash attack!"

Larvitar jumped forward and leaped at Haunter. The ghost pokemon just laughed and split in two, disappearing in thin air. Gold and Larvitar looked around frantically for the pokemon and saw it appear again near a tombstone. It vanished once again.

"Where did it go?" Gold asked.

Suddenly, the ghost pokemon appeared right behind Larvitar with it unaware of the pokemon's appearance. It held a fist in the air.

"Larvitar, look out!" Gold shouted desperately.

Larvitar whirled around in just the right time for it to meet Haunter's fist in his face. He flew backwards and landed on his back. He didn't take the attack lightly. Larvitar immediately jumped back up on his feet and faced the ghost pokemon.

Haunter laughed and disappeared again. It reappeared near the tombstones and disappeared again in the misty air.

"Not again," mumbled Gold. He looked up at his pokemon and saw the ghost appear behind his back once again. "Larvitar, look out!" he shouted once more.

Larvitar took another hit and fell into one of the tombstones, making it crumble easily. He stood up weakly and faced the haunter again.

Haunter tried to pull the same trick once again. It was near the tombstones when it disappeared. Gold angrily pulled his hair until he saw the picture flash in his head again. Haunter disappeared near the tombstone. It was using them as a defense!

"Larvitar, use those tombstones for a rock slide attack!" Gold shouted.

Larvitar looked back at Gold for a second before turning around and crying out before lifting every single one of the tombstones. Haunter appeared right underneath them, dazed, just as Gold hoped. Larvitar threw his arms down and the tombstones tumbled down on Haunter, making them crumble and break over it and collapsing on the ground, exhausted and worn out.

Gold ran over to the ghost pokemon that was lying in the pile of rubble. It sat there for a moment before rising in the air again and facing Gold. It laughed and transformed in the misty air from a pokemon to a little girl. Gold gasped. This was the little girl that he met outside the tower.

"I told you ghosts were real," she giggled. Her voice made Gold's spine shiver. She disappeared in the air again leaving Gold and Larvitar alone. Gold looked at the crumbled tombstones shocked at what he had just seen.

(Ooc: I'm probably going to go straight to the next route from here just in attempt to catch up)

Episode 18 – Eevee and Enson

"Hey you... get up!" yelled a tall man in a long red coat. He was accompanied by another man of equal height, who was wearing a black outfit with a red "R" in the upper left corner... above his heart.

Derek rolled over onto his back, "What do you want?" he asked angrily. But, as soon as the words escaped his mouth... he wished he hadn't said anything, because the man in the red coat grabbed him and pulled him harshly onto his feet.

"You will show a solid degree of respect when in the presence of Mr. Enson!" the man yelled, still clutching Derek by the collar of his large jacket.
The man let go and Derek stumbled backwards, "I am Commander Kendrick and this...," he said, waving a hand towards the man standing next to him, "Is Mr. Enson, Leader of one of the most feared Team Rocket groups in all of Kanto..."

Derek glanced between the two men, eagerly trying to get his thought straight, "I'm... Derek Hunter, a Pokémon Poacher from..."

"We know who you are..." said the dark man, known as Mr. Enson, "Your degree of fame among Pokémon criminals is what has brought us to you..."

"Yeah?" Derek questioned, trying to remain polite, "What does Team Rocket want with me?"

"This matter doesn't go as far as Team Rocket as a whole," Mr. Enson pointed out, "You could say this is a... personal matter."

Derek had finally had enough, "I'm sorry... but Derek Hunter works for no-one," he said plainly. "I hope your... personal matter, goes well for you," he finished, turning away abruptly.

Mr. Enson didn't like this at all; in a flash he flung a Pokéball out in front of Derek. A large orange dog-like Pokémon emerged and growled angrily.
"It would be in your best interest to accept me as your... friend," he whispered evilly, "Unless of course, you think you could handle Arcanine here..."

Derek glanced at the large dog and gave in, turning back to Mr. Enson, "I'll do whatever it is you want..." he muttered quietly.

"Excellent..." he whispered, returning the Arcanine to its Pokéball.
"Your mission is simple," he started, "You remember Ezekiel Richards, right?" he asked.

~~~~~
The afternoon sun beat down upon Zeke as he continued to search for the wild Eevee, which had run off after he saved it from Derek.
"Eevee!" he called out, hoping that the small Pokémon would hear him, "It's no use..." he muttered, falling back onto the grass.
Zeke stuck his tongue out of his mouth and began to pant heavily, like a dog. He had left his backpack with Belinda and Charmeleon, they were about an hour away... or so he thought, Zeke had no idea where he was at the moment.
"This will all be worth it when I capture that Eevee..." he muttered, trying to reassure himself, "That is, if I can even find that Eevee."
Zeke watched as a group of red fox-like Pokémon bounded across the grass about ten metres away from him, he pulled out his Pokédex and pointed it at the group of furry Pokémon.
[PokeCommunity.com] The Pokemon Adventure: Kanto Region
Vulpix: the fox Pokémon.
It controls balls of fire. As it grows, its six tails split from their tips to make more tails.
"Maybe I could just catch a Vulpix," he said spritely, sitting up straight. As soon as Zeke said this, the group of Vulpix ran off into a hedge of thick bushes.
"Maybe not," he muttered, falling flat onto his back.
"Veee!" squealed a high voice as a brown blur flashed in front of Zeke's eyes. He flung up and turned to see the wild Eevee, glaring past him.
"There you are!" yelled Zeke, jumping to his feet quickly. But, the Eevee just stood there... then he realised that the Eevee wasn't looking at him.
Zeke spun around and came face to face with two strange looking, human shape Pokémon. Without hesitation he grabbed his Pokédex and pointed it at them.
[PokeCommunity.com] The Pokemon Adventure: Kanto Region
Hitmonchan: the punching Pokémon.
The arm-twisting punches it throws pulverize even concrete. It rests after three minutes of fighting.
[PokeCommunity.com] The Pokemon Adventure: Kanto Region
Hitmonlee: the kicking Pokémon.
Its legs can stretch double. First-time foes are startled by its extensible reach.
Zeke glanced back to the two Pokémon then turned to see the wild Eevee cowering a few metres behind him, "If you want this Eevee, you'll have to go through me first!" he yelled angrily.
The two fighting Pokémon became alert and lowered themselves into fighting stances, glaring menacingly at Zeke.
Zeke grabbed Golbat's Pokéball and tossed it out on front of him, the large bat Pokémon appeared and flapped about angrily.
The wild Hitmonchan lunged forward, in an attempt to punch Golbat. Luckily the flying Pokémon got out of the way, "Golbat! Bite its fist!" Zeke yelled.
Golbat was confused, but went ahead and sunk its teeth into Hitmonchan's fist. The fighting Pokémon pulled back and began shaking it's fist angrily, trying to make Golbat let go.
All of a sudden, the wild Hitmonlee jumped into the picture and swung its leg at Golbat... knocking it cleanly from its fighting partner's fist.
The bat spun through the air, trying to recover... it soon found itself and hovered above its two martial arts enemies.
"Use Wing Attack on Hitmonlee!" called Zeke, pointing towards the kicking Pokémon. Golbat zipped down and struck Hitmonlee harshly with its two large wings, knocking the Pokémon backwards.
Hitmonlee didn't seem to be phased... it ran up and jumped towards Golbat, its leg extended incredibly. The kicking Pokémon managed to land a hit on Golbat and knocked it out of the sky.
Golbat picked itself off the ground and stood in front of Zeke. Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan were breathing heavily, but they too stood their ground.
Zeke glanced between Golbat and his two opponents, thinking of what to do next. Suddenly he had his question answered; the wild Eevee leapt out from behind him and stood next to Golbat.
"Two on two," started Zeke, "This is a lot fairer!" The teenage boy looked down at Eevee, who nodded to him... he nodded in return.
Eevee kicked up a flurry of sand at Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan, causing them to stumble backwards.
Hitmonlee managed to catch a glimpse of the wild Eevee; it swung its leg out and knocked the small furry Pokémon into a nearby tree.
This mad Zeke angry, "Golbat! Use Confuse Ray, followed by a Wing Attack!" he screamed.
Golbat opened its mouth and shot a stream of purple rings at the two blinded Pokémon, making them even more disoriented. He then flew up and smashed them both with his large wings, causing them to spin around a few times.
Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee stood before Zeke, wobbling slightly... Hitmonchan turned to Hitmonlee and smashed him across the face with a powerful punch. Hitmonlee returned his partners attack with a powerful kick, right into Hitmonchan's hip.
Zeke laughed slightly before returning Golbat and running over to the injured Eevee. She looked as though she was only barely breathing, "You're really hurt..." he stupidly pointed out, "I have to get you to the Pokémon Centre in Celadon City."
Zeke grabbed the wild Eevee and held her close to his chest as he ran back to where Belinda and Charmeleon were, "Don't worry, Eevee. You're going to be alright... I promise," he whispered.
OOC: Zim! This had better be good enough, I spent three days righting this post. =P
If it is good enough, but you want Zeke to put Eevee into a Pokéball. Just tell me and I'll either edit my post, or put her in a Pokéball in Celadon City.
Rock Tunnel Finale- "Let's Make a Switch"
Peter cleared his throat before staring at Isaac in the face. Small cracks from the wall and large hole that was the exit provided some light into the dark arena sized room that saw the sight of possibly the most epic battle of Isaac's career. "Let's take this little talk outside," Peter began. "If you are anything like me, which I know you are, you are probably tired of this cave as much as I am." Isaac nodded, agreeing with Peter's proposal. The two made sure to gather any Pokemon, supplies, and anything else worth grabbing before entering the bold outdoors.
After spending so much time in the caverns of the Rock Tunnel, the bright rays of the sun were a relief. A cool breeze from the south brushed against the sweaty bodies of Peter and Isaac and both took deep breathes of fresh air to calm down. Sighs of happiness were shared and then the big smiles rubbed off their faces as business ensued. "So what do you want Peter? Usually you stomp off like a disgruntled toddler after any battles we have." Isaac said with a smirk and a chuckle.
Peter laughed hesitantly as not to be a total creep for once in his life. He pulled out his one Pokeball and offered it to Isaac. Isaac stared at the ball and then at Peter, confused as a Psyduck who got hit with supersonic. "Give me your Primeape and I'll hand you Machoke. Both of us couldn't control our respective fighting Pokemon once the battle began and I could tell you were impressed in Machoke's abilities. I was impressed by your Primeape as well, so the feeling is mutal. I think a trade would benefit our rivalry as well as the Pokemon involved. Primeape seems to disrespect you and truth be hold, Machoke's ego is a bit much for my taste. I like my Pokemon obident." Isaac laughed at the idea of Primeape being actually a Pokemon you could rely on. Peter finished his statement: "So what do you say?" Isaac snatched Primeape's ball and committed to the trade with no words, but great hesistation. Parting with his first capture would be hard but he saw the potential for new and valuable experience.
"Are we trading back at all?" Isaac asked with geniue curiousity.
"We might. Let's see the growth first." Peter replied, walking south towards the ominous tower in the distance. Isaac smiled at the pokeball he was handed, wondering what the future held.
OOC: Zimvee, the information for Machoke is all yours to control. So what do I post now? The Route or Lavender Town? Either way, its getting cut short since all I want to do is catch a Growlithe for my fire pokemon and hit Celadon.
Lavender Town (Part 3) Answers
Vanessa was waiting for Jen to tell what she was scared of. "It's alright; I don't think I want to tell it…" Jen said a little sad.
"I need to know Jen; we're friends we need to know what's wrong with eachother." Vanessa said being serious.
"Well, when we split up, we were caught by your creepy father, and killed Claudia and the captain right in front of my eyes…" Jen said starting to sob.
"How could this happen…?" Vanessa said falling to the ground in shock.
"Blame your father; I'm glad you're not crazy." Jen said with a little chuckle.
"Hehehe… anyways you can continue…" Vanessa said starting to come down.
"The captain pushed me off the ship to save myself. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him. When I was pushed off, I brought Seadra and got caught in a whirlpool. When I was trapped, I was rescued by a kind man. When he brought me to shore, I was here in LavenderTown." Jen said with a little smile.
"Who rescued you Jen?" Vanessa asked Jen.
"Can I tell you later, I'm still in the mood to finish the story?" Jen said as she continued to tell her story. "He let me rest at his house and all the children he had always played with me as I was recovering. After a few days later, the man and one child didn't come back… I found out that she died."
"Are you talking about Vivian, who lived with Mr. Fuji?" Vanessa said surprised.
"Yes, that was his name, do you know him?" Jen asked Vanessa.
"I told you that's who I was looking for!" Vanessa said running out of the tower. Jen followed her out of the tower and the police ran in to capture the Rocket Grunts. "Vanessa, just promise me something…" Jen said as they ran off to the PokemonCenter.
"What, I won't tell." Vanessa said with a content smile on her face.
"Don't tell Ramon about Claudia's death…" Jen said with a little frown on her face.
"I promise, it would be best for Ramon." Vanessa said as they reached the door.
It was getting bright and Ramon had just woken up. Vanessa ran into the bedroom and went into the bed. Ramon knocked on the door and opened it without caring if they're answer.
Ramon went to the bed and pulled the blanket to see Vanessa pretending to sleep. "Wake up sleepy-head; we need to look for Mr. Fuji." Ramon said hitting Vanessa on the head.
"Ow, that hurts and I thought you were nice." Vanessa said a little frustrated.
"Let's get going, we need to search for him as soon as possible." Ramon said running out of the room. Vanessa followed Ramon out to the main lobby.
Ramon was shocked when he saw Jen waiting at the deck. "Hey Ramon, nice to see you again, you too Vanessa," Jen said with a smile.
"I can't believe you're here, so tell me where's Claudia?" Ramon asked with a smile waiting to see Claudia.
"Well… she decided to explore Kanto on her own, she just found me to be quite the nuisance." Jen said with a chuckle.
"I guess we could find her along our adventure." Ramon said with a disappointment.
"Anyways, I need to get my next badge in CeladonCity soon." Jen said with excitement.
"I can't wait to get to CeladonCity, but first we need to find Mr. Fuji." Vanessa said heading out the door.
The three of them were running around LavenderTown, they made a quick stop at Mr. Fuji's house. "This is where I stayed for a while, when I heard you got into town I came as soon as I could." Jen said with a smile.
"You should've come sooner." Ramon said with a chuckle. The three of them went into the house with a pleasant greeting by all the children.
"You've come by Ms. Jenny Penny!" the children said jumping on Jen flattening her to the ground.
"Ms. Jenny Penny?" Vanessa asked confused.
"They're children; don't blame them with these cute nicknames." Jen said laughing with the children.
Suddenly, a man in an apron came to greet Jen. "Hello Jen, I'm glad to see you're back." Mr. Fuji said with a tender smile.
"Looks like we don't have to waste time looking for him," Ramon said laughing. "Anyways, we need something from you."
"If it's a Poke Flute, I gave it to someone who rescued me, sorry." Mr. Fuji said.
"No, actually we were looking for the Lavender Scroll." Vanessa said while being serious. "We need to save this Eevee, it's seriously ill…"
"I see… I'm assuming that you're talking about Vivian's Eevee." Mr. Fuji said.
"Yes, that's right and we need the scroll to heal its poisons." Vanessa replied.
"Unfortunately, I lent it to a friend to research its secrets." Mr. Fuji said a little disappointed.
"I'm going to stay with the kids for a while." Jen said laughing as they continued to play.
"Alright, anyways thanks for your help, is the person still in town?" Vanessa asked Mr. Fuji.
"Yes, she's supposed to live today, you might want to hurry." Mr. Fuji said as he went into the kitchen to make something to eat for the children.
"See you later, we'll do our best and find your friend, what does she look like anyways?" Vanessa asked as she ready to run off to search for Mr. Fuji's friend.
"She has a cane and a maroon coloured dress, she'll stand out." Mr. Fuji from the kitchen and chuckled, Vanessa and Ramon ran out to find the woman.
"I'll get Eevee from the PokemonCenter; you can search for the woman, good luck." Ramon said as he ran off to pick up Eevee.
"Alright, I'll do my best." Vanessa said as they split up.
As Vanessa ran around looking for someone like that, the town was practically empty, but Vanessa was having trouble finding Mr. Fuji's friend. "This is harder than I thought…" Vanessa said panting. Vanessa finally went to check Route 7, and she found a woman that fit Mr. Fuji's description.
"Excuse me, do you know Mr. Fuji?" Vanessa asked.
"Yes, but why does that matter to you?" the woman said rudely.
"Actually, I'm looking for a Lavender scroll to help a friend." Vanessa said being serious.
"Sorry kid, The Lavender Scroll doesn't work for humans." The woman said bluntly.
"No, it's for my ill Eevee, it's going to die and I don't want to die…" Vanessa said starting to sob.
"Why should I help you, this scroll comes with big responsibilities. Besides, a Pokemon's death doesn't concern me." The woman said as she continued to walk away.
"Why can't you show a little love, can't you see that I care for this Eevee?" Vanessa yelled at the woman.
There was a deep silence, nothing was said until the woman broke the silence, "I cannot love, I've already been hurt by it." The woman said shortly. "I don't really care for it now."
"Why would you not care for it?" Vanessa asked.
"I met this really great talented trainer, we were happy with eachother, until one day he started playing with his Pokedex, didn't show any care for me, after all the years we were with eachother… nothing to show for it." The woman said with hatred in her voice.
"That's a shame, but you have to move on, and I need that scroll now!" Vanessa exclaimed at the woman.
"Fine, you can use the scroll, I can use it later, just let Mr. Fuji use it on your precious Eevee…" the woman said as she threw the scroll at Vanessa and walked off.
Vanessa ran off to find Ramon and found him at the PokemonCenter door. They ran off to Mr. Fuji's house and asked him to read the scroll. As he was reading the scroll, Eevee was continuing to get weak and weaker.
"Hang in there Eevee, you die on me…" Vanessa as she started to cry. All of the other children started to cry with Vanessa. Jelly came out of its Pokeball and looked Vanessa straight in the eye. "You're right Jelly, I have to be brave… after al if I'm not brave, and who will be?" Vanessa asked.
"I could be brave!" Jen exclaimed with a laugh.
"Way to ruin a moment… but thanks for the laugh." Vanessa said as she sighed.
"It's done, Eevee should be well soon." Mr. Fuji said as he went to put the scroll away.
Vanessa, Jen, Ramon and all the children were looking at Eevee, time passed by and Eevee still didn't wake up. "Do you think that Eevee…" Vanessa said as she trailed off.
"Don't think like that Vanessa!" Ramon said as he slapped her.
Vanessa was shocked on how determined Ramon was that he wanted Eevee to be alive. Suddenly, something wonderful happened, Eevee woke up and made a big yawn. All of the children, Vanessa, Ramon and Jen cheered, "Hooray!"
Mr. Fuji was shocked to hear all the noise, but was happy to see all the smiles on the children faces. As it got to high afternoon and had a good lunch, Ramon and Vanessa were ready to leave.
Mr. Fuji came up to Vanessa and said, you should keep Eevee for yourself, its better off with you, I know you can keep it safe.
"Thanks Mr. Fuji, you can count on me!" Vanessa said as she took Eevee.
"You take care now you guys, me and the kids are going to play tag!" Jen said as she put on a blindfold.
"What's with the blindfold?" Ramon asked.
"Tag isn't fun without a blindfold, don't you two know that?" Jen asked with a laugh and started to attempt to find the children.
Just then Eevee ran off on its own into the wild into Route 7 while sticking its tongue out at Vanessa. "Why you, come back here!" Vanessa said as she chased Eevee dragging Ramon behind her.
OOC: I have some platinum pictures, but they have background colour in it o.o;; Here is the link I got it from: https://sfc.pokemon-inside.net/platinum.php
Jack looked at the morning horizon of Celadon city. The towering buildings were not what he was used to. He walked into the city, very quickly, heading strait for the huge tower in the middle. A small child was not looking where he was going and accidentally bumped into him.
"Sorry, mister..." The Child muttered. Jack scowled.
"Watch where your going!" He yelled. Near pedestrians stopped to look. One man stepped out from the crowd.
"Watch what you say to my boy! It was just an accident!" The man yelled back.
Jack clenched his teeth, I have no time for this..., he thought. He grabbed the poke ball from his belt.
"Fine! Want to take it the hard way? Then we will! Go Pidgea!"
Jack showed now emotion, even though he hid a smile inside. Too easy...
He released his Seel, without saying a word.
"Pidgea! Fall in with quick attack!" With amazing speed the bird hurtled itself into the Seel, who took the hit, which knocked him back a bit.
"Fool..." Jack muttered. "Aurora Beam." Jack commanded. A beam of icy light came from Seel and shattered right into the Pidgea. The crowd stared in astonishment.
"Pidgea!" The Young Boy cried.
"You get no remorse in life..." Jack muttered, almost evily. Yet, the Pidgea lay on the ground, breathing heavily, Jack gave the next order camly. "Fisnish him, Ice Shard"
A glass-like shard of ice struck the Pidgea clean in the stomouch. The breathing stopped. Jack watched with no emotion, turned and began walking toward the tower, leaving the family to cry over it's loss.
Route 7 (Part 1) Ramon's Test
Vanessa was chasing after Eevee once again as they entered Route 7, while Ramon was surprised on how many times Eevee kept getting away form Vanessa. "I'm surprised she has this much energy left in her." Ramon thought as he sighed and ran off to get Vanessa.
As they were running, Vanessa fell on the ground out of breath. "That Eevee sure is tough isn't it?" Vanessa wondered. "I really need to catch that Eevee sooner or later."
Suddenly Ramon came to Vanessa and handed her a sandwich. "Maybe you should take a break, have some lunch." Ramon said patting Vanessa on the back.
"I can't give up; I need to know how to get Eevee…" Vanessa said as she ate her sandwich.
"If you didn't know, I used to work in a game corner, and I had Eevee's as prizes, they drove me crazy, until I caught this little guy." Ramon said summoning a Pokemon into the ground. Out came a purple coloured blob.
"What's that thing suppose to be?" Vanessa said pulling out her Pokedex.
*pokemonelite2000 image removed*
Ditto: The Transform Pokemon, It has the ability to reconstitute its entire cellular structure to transform into whatever it sees.
"How is thing suppose to help?" Vanessa asked very confused.
"This is going to make battling Eevee pretty easy. Ditto use Transform!" Ramon commanded as Ditto transformed into an Eevee.
"How did it do that?" Vanessa asked surprised.
"Don't you ever listen to your Pokedex?" Ramon said as he sighed and continued to talk. "Ditto mimics some of Eevee's stats, so it'll be just like battle against a regular Eevee."
"Fine by me, I'll use Mr. Bubbles!" Vanessa said as she summoned her Wartortle to the battlefield.
"Wartortle, I thought you'd use at least Wigglytuff." Ramon said he got ready for battle!
"Alright Mr. Bubbles, use Water Gun at Ditto!" Vanessa commanded as Wartortle shot water from its mouth straight at Ditto. Ditto suddenly ran away from the move pretty quickly.
"How did it do that?" Vanessa asked Ramon.
"Ditto can copy the speed of a Pokemon as well; it's going to be just like a real battle with your pal Eevee." Ramon said as he got ready for his first command. "Ditto, use Tackle straight at Wartortle."
Ditto came straight at Wartortle and started tackling really hard in Mr. Bubble's face doing some damage. "Use Tackle at Ditto, don't let it push you around!" Vanessa commanded. Wartortle tried to tackle the Ditto hitting him, but Ditto simply ran off to a safe area.
"You'll never beat Ditto with those moves, try being defensive." Ramon said as he made another command, "Use Tackle once again and this time, don't hold back!"
Ditto ran straight to Wartortle and started pushing Mr. Bubbles around. "What should I do, let's try Bubble now Mr. Bubbles!" Vanessa commanded. Bubbles came shooting out of Mr. Bubbles' mouth and straight at Ditto.
"Use Sand-Attack Ditto at the bubbles, and the bubbles popped in a flash. As the battle continued on, Eevee was taking a break just lunging and watching the battle.
"Let's see what we could use next, let's try using defence, use Protect for now." Vanessa said as Wartortle created a mystical shield.
"Nice move, but that shield won't last long Vanessa, Ditto standby." Ramon said confidently.
As time went by, the shield broke down just at Ramon said, "I was right, anyways Ditto come in for a finishing Tail Whip!" Ramon said as Ditto charged straight at Wartortle.
"It's time to use our special move!" Vanessa said confidently.
"What, she knew that the shield would break down?" Ramon said confused.
"Use Bubble straight at Ditto and move out," Vanessa commanded. The bubbles got in Ditto's eyes as it tried to slow down. "Follow up with Protect and Tackle!" Vanessa commanded. The Protection shield made the tackle have a powerful blow. Ditto fainted on the spot and was returned into its Pokeball.
"You've done a wonderful job, now you're ready to get that Eevee!" Ramon encouraged.
"Your right, now I am ready to take down Eevee once and for all." Vanessa said patting Wartortle on the shell. Mr. Bubbles smiled until he saw something wrong. "What's wrong Mr. Bubbles?" Vanessa asked. Mr. Bubbles pointed at Eevee which saw the entire battle. Eevee made an evil smile and knew the strategy that Vanessa used. "I think we have a problem here…" Vanessa said disappointed. Episode 19 - Celadon City Department Store!
Zeke sat quietly with his newly caught Eevee sprawled across his lap, he scratched under her chin and she purred happily.
Charmeleon sat opposite Zeke, his arms crossed and an angry look upon his face, "Char..." he muttered quietly.
"Don't be jealous, Charmeleon," Zeke shot at the flame Pokémon, "Eevee hasn't been having a good day... she needs some attention."
Charmeleon just huffed and turned away.
"Zeke!" yelled a loud voice, "What are you doing just sitting around?"
Zeke turned to see Belinda glaring down at him, "We're in Celadon!" she yelled, throwing her arms in the air, "I want to go shopping!"
Zeke rolled his eyes and turned his attention back to Eevee, "I'm not stopping you..." he pointed out. All of a sudden, Eevee and Charmeleon jumped off of their seats and ran over to Belinda.
"Looks like the Pokémon want to go shopping too..." she giggled cheerfully, looking at the two Pokémon standing next to her.
Zeke sighed and got to his feet, "Alright..." he muttered.
~~~~~

*DING*

The elevator came to a halt at the second floor and the doors slid open, "Let's go!" yelled Belinda, before bolting off towards a glass case that acted as the counter for this floor... with Eevee held close to her body.
Zeke and Charmeleon simply strolled out of the elevator, collapsing onto the closest available seat.

Belinda placed Eevee upon the counter and bent down to get a closer look at the strange stones inside, "Aha! Interested about evolving your Eevee?" asked a croaky voice from above Belinda's head.

Belinda looked up to see an old man with a jolly smile, looking back at her, "What?" she asked at first, "Oh! No, no, no... this isn't my Eevee," she said shaking her head and pointing towards Zeke, "She belongs to my friend over there."

The old store clerk shrugged and turned back to Belinda, "So! Do you have any Pokémon that could evolve via the use of one of these stones?" he asked in a booming, yet comforting, voice.
"Of course you do!" said the man quickly, answering his own question. He reached under the counter and grabbed the stone which looked like it had a flame burning inside of it.
The man tossed it cleanly into his other hand, "This is a Fire Stone," pointed out the old man, "It can be used to evolve; Vulpix into Ninetales, Growlithe into Arcanine or Eevee into Flareon."

Belinda glanced at Eevee, who shook her head in disapproval, "I don't think Eevee wants to be a Flareon," she replied quietly.

"That's alright!" boomed the man, placing the Fire Stone back into its original home under the counter and grabbing the stone which looked like it had a bolt of lightning through it.
"How about a Thunder Stone?" he asked, holding up the stone, "It can be used to evolve; Pikachu into Raichu or Eevee into Jolteon."

Once again Belinda glanced at Eevee, who shook her head in disapproval, "Sorry, I don't think Eevee wants to be a Jolteon either."

The store clerk sighed and placed the Thunder Stone backed under the counter, carelessly he grabbed the remaining two stones and placed them upon the counter, "These are the last two," the man pointed out, "The Water Stone, used to evolve; Poliwhirl into Poliwrath, Shellder into Cloyster, Staryu into Starmie or Eevee into Vaporeon. And then there's the Leaf Stone... used to evolve; Gloom into Vileplume, Weepinbell into Victreebel or Exeggcute into Exeggutor."

Belinda ignored Eevee this time and pulled out two Pokéball's, "I have a Poliwhirl and a Gloom..."
She then looked down at her shoes, "But, I don't think Gloom wants to evolve into Vileplume..." she said quietly.

"Oh..." replied the man, "Why not?"

Belinda sighed, "It's nothing really, just a family matter..." she returned, placing Gloom's Pokéball back onto her belt.
"Anyway, I'm sure that Poliwhirl would like to evolve into a big strong Poliwrath," she said, releasing Poliwhirl from his Pokéball.
The large blue Pokémon appeared and flexed his tiny muscles, "Poliwhirl..." said Belinda, "How would you like to evolve into a Poliwrath?" she asked flatly.
Poliwhirl nodded eagerly and Belinda then turned to Eevee, "Is the Water Stone a good choice?" she asked the furry Pokémon, who nodded happily.

"Water Stone it is!" boomed the old man behind the counter, putting back the Leaf Stone and handing the Water Stone to Belinda.

~~~~~
*DING*
The elevator stopped at the fourth floor, Belinda grabbed Zeke by the wrist and pulled him along, "What are we doing on this floor?" he asked, "There's nothing but clothing up here..."
Belinda smiled, "Exactly! We need to get you a new look," she said, rummaging through a rack of clothing... grabbing bits and pieces, and throwing them into Zeke's arms.
"I like what I'm wearing right now..." he whined, "What do I need new clothes for anyway?"
"Celadon City is a very sophisticated place and as a visitor, you must be dressed the part..." she replied with a slight giggle, "Beside's... you wouldn't want to verse Erika dressed like that, would you?"
Zeke sighed, "Fine... I'll get some new clothes," he then looked Belinda up and down, "Hey! You don't look very sophisticated in that," he said, trying to point at Belinda's clothing.
Belinda glanced down at her outfit, "I know!" she shot back, "I'm going to get something for myself too." She then stopped rummaging and grabbed a black hat off the head of a manikin, placing atop Zeke's pile of clothing, "Ok... go and try that stuff on. I'll go and find something nice for me!"
Zeke sighed and shuffled off towards the changing rooms, "Women..." he muttered.
~~~~~

Belinda huffed at every step, "Why are we going to the roof?" she asked with barely any breath. Charmeleon and Eevee were happily keeping up with Zeke, but Belinda seemed to be having some trouble, "I hate stairs," she muttered to herself.

Zeke stopped and turned around, causing Charmeleon and Eevee to do the same, "We've done everything you want so far. It's my turn now... there are a bunch of trainers on the roof, trading items and Pokémon."

"How do you know that?" asked Belinda, finally catching up to Zeke... but only because he was stationary.

"I heard two trainers talking about it on the second floor," he replied, continuing up the stairs, "They said: there are only two places you'll find trainers in this city; the gym and the roof of the department store."

The group finally reached the roof, they all stepped out onto the tiles and looked around... catching glances here and there. All the trainers had at least one Pokémon standing beside them, there were numerous transactions going on about the group... trading of Pokémon and items alike.

Zeke, Belinda, Charmeleon and Eevee found and empty bench and sat down, "Where should I start first?" he asked, glancing around eagerly.
Zeke took off his backpack and poured the contents onto the table, he rounded up the tradable items and nodded, "What do you think I could get with this stuff?" he asked Belinda.

Belinda was bored, but she looked down at Zeke's pile of items... a wave of shock washed over her, "What are you doing!" she screamed, making heads turn. "You can't trade that!"
Belinda grabbed the Poké Flute out of Zeke's neat pile and shoved it back into his bag, "Mr. Fuji gave you that, it might come in handy."

"Fine..." sighed Zeke picking up the four TM's that were left, "Rock Tomb, Water Pulse, Shock Wave and..."

"Did you say Shock Wave?" asked a timid voice quietly.

Zeke turned to see a small girl standing next to him, a small pink Pokémon cradled in her arms, "Uhm... yes, I did..." he replied slowly.

The small girl placed her Pokémon on the table and held out her hand, "My name is Penelope... Penelope Peters," she said politely. "I've been looking everywhere for a trainer with Shock Wave. But, all of the other trainers had already used theirs on their Pokémon."

"Zeke shook the young girls hand gently, "Not me!" he said proudly, "I've still got all my TM's from Brock, Misty and Surge."

"Cleffa!" called the small pink Pokémon, throwing its arms in the air. The small girl giggled and turned to her happy Pokémon, "You hear that Cleffa? We finally found a trainer with Shock Wave."
Penelope swung her small pink bag onto the table and unzipped it, "I have a Thunderbolt TM," she said, pulling the item out of her bag.

Zeke seemed confused, "But, Thunderbolt is stronger than Shock Wave," he pointed out, "Why don't you just teach that to... Cleffa?"

Penelope sighed, "I know Thunderbolt is stronger, that's why I don't want to teach it to Cleffa," she replied, looking down at her buckle-up shoes, "I don't want Cleffa to get hurt from using Thunderbolt..."

Zeke nodded, "I understand. I'll trade my Shock Wave for your Thunderbolt..." he said, handing over the Shock Wave TM and receiving Thunderbolt in return.

Penelope quickly hugged Zeke and then turned to her Cleffa; "I'm going to teach it to her right now!" she called leaning in closer.

"Hold on!" yelled Zeke, trying not to sound aggressive, "I have a Pokémon that I want to teach a TM to, let's do it at the same time."
Zeke pulled a Pokéball from his belt and released Nidorino; he grabbed the Poison Jab TM off the table and held it towards his Poison Pokémon, "3... 2... 1... GO!" he counted down, before the two trainers held the TM's to their respective Pokémon.

Belinda shook her head and chuckled slightly, "Trainers..." she muttered under her breath.

(ooc: This battle's going to be huge! I'm splitting it up into two parts. This will probably be one of the longest battles I've ever done)
Episode 43: Battle in Celadon City: Chris Vs. Erika (Part 1)

"Aaah, I'm finally in Celadon City... now I have to get my fourth badge, and I'll be done with half of my quest." Said Chris who had all of his pokemon back and travelled the rest of the route in peace. After searching the city, Chris saw the gym and ran towards it, but before he got there he tripped on a root, and fall through the doors and ended up flying face first into a tree. "Oww... why does something bad happen to me all of the time?"

"Tang?" Asked a Tangela waking up from its nap. Chris froze right then and there, hoping that Tangela would go back to sleep, but as long as I'm writing Chris's story, he'll never be that lucky.

"AAACHOO!!" Sneezed Chris, the Tangela looked right at Chris before rushing over to Slam into him, but in a stroke of good luck, Tangela was returned to her pokeball.

"I'm sorry about that, my Tangela doesn't like it when she gets disturbed." Said Erika as she walked in. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." Said Chris as he got up. "You're Erika, right?"

"Yes, I am. Are you here for a gym battle?" Asked Erika already knowing the answer to her question.

"Yeah, I challenge you to a gym battle for the Rainbow Badge!" Yelled Chris. Erika nodded before walking to the back of the gym, Chris following closely.

"You know what? You look a lot like this trainer I met a few years back." Said Erika after looking at Chris closer. "Are you Christopher Leopold Evans by any chance?"

"Yes, but I never told you my name." Said Chris, confused on how Erika knew about him at all.

"No, but I saw you before... Don't you remember your brother invited me to come over to celebrate his triumph over the Elite 4?" Asked Erika, but Chris didn't respond to that. "I was his girlfriend."

"WHAT?! This is the first I've ever heard of this!" Yelled Chris in shock. "How'd it happen?" Erika smiled.

"Your brother was a charmer, it's too bad he died..." Said Erika looking down. Chris did the same before realizing one thing.

"Hey, aren't you twenty-four years old or something?" Asked Chris as they finally got to the arena.

"Yes... why?" Asked Erika. Chris just shook his head and ran to the arena.

"Let's go!" Yelled Chris as he took out a pokeball. A judge that appeared out of nowhere then said.

"This will be a three on three battle between Christopher Evans, and Lady Erika. The trainer may substitute at any time, but the Gym Leader must keep her Pokemon out until it faints... Ready, Begin!" Erika sent out Tangela, and Chris sent out Crobat.

"Tangela, use Ancientpower!" Yelled Erika. Tangela nodded before using its will to summon up rocks.

"Crobat, dodge than use Wing Attack!" Yelled Chris. Crobat dodged the rocks then went in for a Wing Attack, but Tangela was able to dodge and wrap vines around Crobat.

"Slam Crobat into the ground!" Yelled Erika. Chris looked on as Tangela slammd Crobat into the ground, but the bat was able to recover.

"Crap... um, use Air Cutter!" Yelled Chris. Crobat fired the Aircutter, but Tangela was able to dodge in time. "What?"

"Tangela, use Slam once more." Said Erika as if she wasn't as worried as earlier. Apearantly Fred was stronger than Chris was at this point. Tangela shot out the vines, but Crobat was able to dodge it easily.

"Now, use Confuse Ray!" Yelled Chris. Golbat stared into Tangela's eyes, casting it into a hypnotic confusion. "Quickly, use Wing Attack!"

"Tangela, dodge then use Slam." Said Erika still not worried, Crobat got closer to Tangela and surprised Chris and Crobat by jumping above Crobat, then grabbing on to it with its vines before falling to the ground and smashing Crobat.

"Crobat!" Yelled Chris, but before the judge could call it a match, Crobat used the same tactic Tangela used and hit the plant with a Wing Attack, slamming her into the ground. "Whoa, that was cool." But again, Tangela got up, madder than earlier. "Whoa, that was a critical hit and that Tangela got up, that's hardcore."

"Tangela!" (T: That's it, I'm through with this crap!) Yelled out Tangela, now mad at Crobat even more. At this point Tangela wished she could evolve, but couldn't.

"Tangela, don't get mad, it will make your judgement calls worse." Said Erika still calm, as if she fought way more powerful people(Which she did.). Tangela nodded before calming down a little. "Use Ancientpower!" Tangela fired an Ancientpower attack at Crobat, knocking him out.

"Crap!" Yelled Chris as his Crobat hit the ground. The judge then raised his right hand.

"The winner of this round is Erika and Tangela!" Yelled the Judge. Erika nodded at the call.

"Come on out, Primeape!" Yelled Chris sending out the monkey. "I'm ready to go when you are!" Chris then grinned, since he knew Primeape was strong enough to win.

"Round 2: Tangela Vs. Primeape... Begin!" Yelled the judge. Tangela and Primeape got ready to fight.

"Primeape, use Cross Chop!" Yelled Chris. Erika knew she had to react fast.

"Tangela, use Slam!" Yelled Erika. Tangela fired her vines at Primeape, but the monkey was able to dodge the vines and slam her fists into Tangela's head, knocking her out.

"The winner of this round is Chris and Primeape!" Yelled the judge shocked at what had just happened. Erika calmly returned her Tangela before tossing out Victreebel.

"Round 3: Primeape Vs. Victreebel... Begin!"

(That's the end of part one Zimvee.)

Routes 7-8: A Contest of Sorts

OOC: This is my vain attempt at having a small storyline before diving into Celadon. So the battle here will be overlapping with the next one permitting this battle gets what I want in the end.

Coming out of the cave of darkness, Isaac quickly entered Lavender town and healed his Pokemon at the center. Isaac was not a big fan of Lavender in the first place. He had heard horror stories of the town, usually due to the large graveyard tower. Despite his respect for such a noble idea, Isaac wondered they didn't knock down the damn tower and build something more useful, like a radio tower or something. An undead frightening aura reminiscent of horror movies was emitted by the old, ragged tower. Even Night was offset by the structure and the duo left in a hurry.

Entering route 7, the calming appearance of the great outdoors refilled the lost energy that the Rock Tunnel and the Zombie tower stole. The grass fields reminded Isaac of the old routes that decorated the land of Hoenn and relief swempt the stressed mind of the young trainer. Until "he" came.

He is what you would expect from a salesmen, a fancy one though. A neat gray suit with a bloody red tie and sinster shades suddenly walked over to Isaac, followed by a regular trainer, dressed in the typical clothes one would expect: Jeans, T-shirt, light jacket. The salesmen-looking man was followed by a camera crew and the words "huge gimmick" was just beaming into Isaac's eyes. "Hello SIR! How would you like to be featured in Battles LIVE!!??" Battles Live. What the....? Isaac never heard of the show and a look of confusion dominated his features. The host was just overwhelmed by Isaac's lack of a clue. "Come on kid. Battles Live is one of the premier shows in Kanto. We get two trainers to duke it out on live television. The winner gets the Pokemon of the week. This week happens to Growlithe, the rare fire Pokemon." Isaac's confusion turned into pure joy. First, he would get a mighty Pokemon. And Second, live television is the venue Isaac wanted to be famous just like the Elite Four.

"Alright, I'll do it." Isaac replied and with the energy of the host exploded with raw, untamed energy. The host rushed back to his team and told the trainers that the show would begin in a few hours. Meanwhile, the trainers began preparing their teams and the match rules. Some time passed and the set was prepared. The show was about to begin.

"Ok! Cameras! Lights! Action!" The host roared before pausing briefly and began the show. "Hello everyone and welcome to the best show that Kanto TV has ever producted: Battles Live! This week, we have scoped out the Celadon region and found two mighty trainers to go at it and epic 5v5 encounter. The rules today are simple. The first trainer to lose all his pokemon loses. The winner will be declared and recieve a well-trained Growlithe for his efforts. The battlefield is a quaint rolling hill set-up here on Route 7. No Pokemon will have a distinct advantage here, making it a battle that will test the might of the Pokemon and the mindset of the trainers. This will without a doubt be the battle of the year!" With the introduction complete, the cameras focused on the site of eventual war.

Each trainer snatched a ball from their belt and the first battle was about to begin.

It was a long and hard sleep. Gold felt like he deserved it after what happened in the ghost tower. There were many weird things in the pokemon world, but ghosts? Ugh. It made Gold's head buzz, but it also made him wonder. It might not be the weirdest thing he will ever see. He would probably have to get used to crazy stuff like that.

Gold woke up late in the morning and went to check on his pokemon. To his relief, they were ready to go.

"Please, if you can help it, give Pikachu and definitely Ivysaur a break," she said.

Gold nodded. He expected this to happen. Pikachu worked hard and became totally exhausted in the cave, and Ivysaur……well, he was lucky to be alive. He had taken a real beating in the cave, thanks to Zackary. Gold still really hated that guy. He then almost laughed at how he almost forgot about him completely.

At the thought he pulled out Larvitar's pokeball and looked at it. He still did not think that the two had a very strong bond together. At the thought, he gripped the ball tightly and at the moment hoped there was someway to cure his fear of trainers. He needed to show Larvitar that he meant no harm to him.

Gold pocketed the ball and headed out of the pokemon center onto the next route, finally. Gold almost felt stale as he walked out. I had been a few days since he was traveling. To him, a pokemon trainer, that felt like a decade. It wasn't going to stop him though for whatever was coming his way.

Gold regretted saying these words.

The gang walked forever on the route with nothing happening to them at all. It was an easy, smooth trip to Celadon City, something that Gold hated.

"Well, we have been traveling for only a few hours and we're almost there already," Emerald said.

They came to a large building that read, underground tunnel. Gold whipped out his PokeGear and sighed. This was the final stop till Celadon, and nothing at all happened. He was hoping to battle a little more with his pokemon and get them prepared for the gym match, but that apparently wasn't going to happen.

As the entered the building, Gold sulked to the back and followed close behind as the group walked down a set of stairs. The lights became dim and it became a little chilly even. Gold looked ahead and saw nothing but a long tunnel with the walls and floors painted an assortment of different colors. The paint was starting to wear out.

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's just go," Gold mumbled while continuing to sulk. He pushed past everyone and headed to the front until he heard a familiar, chilling voice.

"You're not going anywhere with my pokemon."

Gold looked up and ahead. "Zackary," he mumbled.

The spiky, blond headed teen ran down the stairs and ran in front of the gang. He stood next to Silver who was extraordinarily taller than he was.

"Hi, Silver," he said coldly.

Silver didn't say anything. He crossed his arms and stared at Zackary straight in the eyes. Gold knew he had come to hate Zackary just as much as him for the incident in the cave.

Zackary then turned to Gold and smiled wickedly. "And Gold," he said.

"I thought we were over with you," Gold said.

"Yeah? After you stole my pokemon from me back a few days ago. You thought you were tricky, but not tricky enough to avoid me. I came here for my pokemon back and you're going to give him to me the hard way, or the easy way."

"So, that makes you persistent with your dirty work," Gold replied. "Well, no matter what, I'm not giving you Larvitar. I saw the torture it went through, and it is not doing the same again."

Zackary growled and pulled his hand to his back pocket quickly. With an adrenaline rush, Gold whipped his hand back and felt Pidgeotto's pokeball on his belt. He clicked it off and quickly called out his bird.

"Pidgeotto, gust!" Gold ordered.

He was quicker than Zackary. Gold's pokeball cracked open and his magnificent bird appeared. She flapped both of her wings hard, sending a large gust of air. It hit Zackary, making him fly back and hit the wall. He sat up, gasping for air and rubbing his head where it had hit hard.

Gold let out a breath of relief that he was the one still standing. Pidgeotto landed on his shoulder and let out a small cheerful noise.

Zackary jumped up and whipped out a pokeball. "So this how it is going to be, huh?" he growled. He held the pokeball in the air and threw it out. His koffing appeared on the field.

Gold stroked his bird a little and sent it out on the field. He knew that this was going to be a real battle this time with Zackary. As long as he kept Larvitar away, Zackary was going to continue to battle.

Zackary threw the ball. "Go, Arcanine!" he shouted. His large fire pokemon appeared.

Gold gulped as he looked into the eyes of the fire pokemon. It brought back horrible memories from the cave.

"Gold, be careful, this pokemon is really high leveled!" Bret shouted.

"I really do not need you to tell me that," Gold mumbled. He had seen enough in the cave. His hurt Ivysaur had told him everything he needed to know about this pokemon.

Zackary laughed at Gold's reaction. "Haha, you do not need to go through this. Just hand over Larvitar and I'll let you go on your way to Celadon. You'll never hear from me again."

"Yeah right," Gold replied. "Pidgeotto, quick attack!"

Pidgeotto zipped across the stage and slammed right into Arcanine, only to be bounced off. Pidgeotto plomped on the ground as if it were dead while Arcanine stood tall as if it were never hit.

"Yeah, like that can hurt my pokemon. Arcanine, bite it," Zackary ordered.

Arcanine reached down and clamped the bird with its teeth. Picking it up, it threw the bird across the stage to where she landed right in front Gold. Gold bent down and patted his bird.

"Pidgeotto, please get up," Gold pleaded.

Pidgeotto moaned and got up and off her feet. She looked at Arcanine with serious eyes, waiting for the next order.

"Arcanine, blast the bird out of the air with flamethrower."

Arcanine blasted a burst of fire that went straight for Pidgeotto.

"Pidgeotto, dodge the fire and use the hardest gust attack you can!" Gold shouted.

Pidgeotto zipped sideways using a quick attack. The fire blast hit the wall hard making some of the tiles blast off. Pidgeotto cried out and flapped her wings hard, sending a gust of air towards Arcanine. It bent its head to endure the attack, but the air just split and blew right past it.

"Arcanine flamethrower again!" Zackary shouted.

Pidgeotto squaked and dodged the attack again. Gold sighed and bent his head. This isn't going to work, he told himself. He then had to dodge another attack of Zackary's. Jeez, he just will not stop until he blast Pidgeotto into pieces, Gold thought. He then snapped straight up. Wait a second…

"Arcanine, obey me and hit that bird!!" Zackary shouted.

Arcanine sent out yet again another blast of fire towards Pidgeotto. Pidgeotto saw the flame come, but waited for Gold's command.

"Pidgeotto, use gust to send the flamethrower back!" Gold shouted.

Pidgeotto quickly flapped her wings to send a gust of air. It slammed into the flames and hit Arcanine hard. It fell over and cried in pain from the attack that was twice as hard as normal.

"What!" Zackary shouted.

"Pidgeotto, while it's weak, hit Arcanine hard with quick attack!" Gold shouted.

Pidgeotto obeyed Gold and zipped across the hall. It slammed hard right into Arcanine's exposed belly making it cry loud and collapse, totally knocked out.

"Great job, Pidgeotto!" Gold shouted.

Zackary growled and recalled his pokemon. "This isn't over," he mumbled.

At that moment, Pidgeotto collapsed on the ground, tired from the battle. Gold jumped for a moment, but then smiled. He pulled out his pokeball and recalled Pidgeotto.

"Thanks a lot," Gold mumbled. He looked forward at Zackary with the pokeball in his hand. He was right. The battle was not over yet.

He cringed as he reached for a ball.

Gold was still in the middle of an intense battle and realized something bad. As he tried to choose his next pokemon, he realized that he had only one left: Flareon. Besides her, he had Larvitar, but he couldn't put Larvitar out there. It would start to get ugly if he did.

Gold clicked off the ball and threw it in the air. "Go, Flareon!" he shouted. His large, bushy, red and tan pokemon appeared on the field and looked forward.

"It doesn't matter which pokemon you pick. Remember this one?" Zackary said with an evil grin. He threw the pokeball out on the field and a floating pokemon with poisonous gas puffing out of it.

Gold stepped back and gasped. He fingered his pokeball nervously. As he looked at the Koffing Zackary sent out, horrible memories filled his head. The explosion… his Ivysaur… everything just came back.

"Koffing, you know what to do," Zackary said.

Koffing glowed a bright red color, and then BOOM! The whole area filled with raging fire and Gold didn't have enough time to escape. He held his arms up out of reaction even though he knew it wouldn't help at all. But nothing ever did hit him. Gold opened one of his eyes and saw a turtle standing in front of him with a large golden shield blocking the attack. Its bushy tail wagged hard as it held its protect attack.

"Wartortle!" Gold exclaimed.

The explosion ended and Wartortle's shield died down. Koffing was down on the ground, and looked like nothing more than a black puff ball, and Flareon was on the ground completely out.

"Flareon! She is probably extremely hurt! She got caught right in that explosion!" Gold shouted.

"Don't worry," Emerald said. "Even though that explosion is powerful and dangerous, it is still just a battle move."

Gold, with shaky hands, called back his Flareon, and almost collapsed himself. He had no pokemon left except Larvitar, the pokemon that Zackary wanted the most. He was completely stuck in a tight situation.

"What are you waiting for?!" Silver shouted. "Do you want him to beat you? Call out your next pokemon and beat this creep!"

"I can't," Gold muttered.

"Don't give up!" Bret exclaimed. "You can beat this guy! Just make Pikachu zap him and we can go along!"

"Pikachu can't battle and neither can Ivysaur!" Gold snapped.

Zackary laughed. "Well, I guess I can say that this battle is over then. Just hand over Larvitar and I'll let you through. You can't make my pokemon battle against me."

Gold could almost say that he was right. He didn't want to make Larvitar involved like that. He pulled out the pokeball and looked at it with deep thought. Inside the pokeball was a scared, innocent pokemon that spent a large portion of his life being tortured by a worthless, power-hungry trainer. He may have been scared, but Gold felt a power coming from the ball. He could almost feel Larvitar's strength and bravery that he had been hiding for a long time.

"What are you waiting for?!" Zackary shouted.

Gold, with no emotion held up the pokeball and dropped it. Gravity pulled it to the ground and the ball cracked open. The little Larvitar appeared on the field and looked around confused.

Zackary laughed. "You are insane," he said.

"Oh, yeah?" Gold replied. "Well, let's see that now. Who will Larvitar listen to? His real trainer or somebody who actually respects his feelings."

"Once again, you're insane. So, okay let's just see," Zackary said. He pulled out a pokeball. "Go, Hitmonlee!"

A large dojo pokemon appeared on the field. It kicked both of its long, muscular legs as a hope of intimidation.

"You ready, Larvitar?" Gold muttered.

Larvitar meekly looked at Gold. "Lar.." it replied helplessly.

"Well, let's go! Larvitar, start this off with rock slide attack!" Gold shouted.

Larvitar looked at Gold and sighed.

"Larvitar, you better not attack!!!" Zackary shouted loudly.

Larvitar jumped and backed up at the sound of his master's voice. It looked extremely frightened.

"Larvitar, please, you do not need to listen to Zackary anymore," Gold said. "This is your chance to beat him, to show how strong you really are. Don't let him think that you're weak."

Larvitar looked at Gold as if it was thinking about what Gold just said. It looked serious and as if it was in deep thought.

Gold stood up and pointed his finger forward. "Larvitar, use rock slide!" he shouted.

Larvitar lifted rocks in the air and threw them. They hit the Hitmonlee hard, making it stumble over and fall on his back.

"That's it Larvitar!" Gold shouted. Larvitar turned around and looked at Gold. Gold could've sworn he saw a small smile on his face, which made his heart swell with joy.

"You stupid pokemon," Zackary mumbled. "Take this! Hitmonlee, kick Larvitar!"

Hitmonlee slide in and slammed its foot straight into Larvitar. Larvitar cried out and flew in the air, straight for Gold.

"Larvitar!" Gold shouted. He extended his arms and grasped the flying pokemon, making him fall back with Larvitar clutched within his arms. The hat fell off Gold's head and the wind got knocked out of him, but he still managed to stand up and place Larvitar on the ground safely.

"You disgust me, Zackary," Gold growled.

"Have you learned your lesson, you stupid pokemon?" Zackary asked.

Larvitar looked at Zackary intensely. Gold looked down at the little pokemon and was shocked. Larvitar didn't even look scared. It looked extremely angry and upset.

"You're a worthless pokemon and always will be!!" Zackary shocked. "I can't believe-"

BAM!!

Gold almost died from shock at what he had just saw. He rubbed his eyes and looked at Zackary, who was on the ground with Larvitar over him. He looked extremely angry and prepared for anything.

Larvitar leaped around and looked at Hitmonlee who was still prepared for battle. It let out a screeching sound, paralyzing the Hitmonlee and then used a thrash to tackle it to the ground. Hitmonlee didn't get back up. Larvitar won the battle. If tackling Zackary didn't make Gold faint than that certainly would've.

"What is that noise? It's coming from down here."

Gold looked up and saw two people in a navy blue uniform rushing down the set of stairs on Zackary's side. They looked around confused at the four kids, the down Hitmonlee, the knocked out kid close to them, and the furious looking pokemon standing tall.

"What the-" said one of the police officers.

"Wow, I can't believe it. Look," said the other. She ran over to Zackary who was coming around and attempting to sit up. "Is this the guy we're looking for?"

The man officer observed him for a moment and nodded. "Fits the description." He snapped a pair of handcuffs over Zackary's arms. "Sir, you are arrested for pokemon abuse.

"What!" Zackary shouted as the two officers lifted him out of the underground.

"Come on, let's go. No need to fight."

Gold watched until Zackary was completely gone. He had beaten him and not only won the match. He looked down and saw Larvitar standing there looking more proud and tall than ever. That was more of a victory than anything.

(ooc: I do not expect a level gain for Flareon. The post would've been mega-long if I included her in a battle)
