Battle of the Eeevolutions
OOC: This will be a wall of text. I wonder if I can finish it. I made a few errors with moves, but my update on Page 8 of the OOC thread has the moves that should have been updated. I realized this after Round 3.
With a great flash of blinding white light, the first confrontation began. From the challenger's Pokeball rose a Poliwrath, sporting a pale blue body and bulging muscles that made even Isaac feel womanly. However, the tide of battle would shift in Isaac's favor as Kadabra was summoned to his side of the field. Wasting no time, Poliwrath charged the Psy Pokemon hoping to prevent it from unleashing any attacks whatsoever. Unable to match its speed and agility, Kadabra was struck violently by a series of slapping attacks causing the mighty psychic pokemon to become disoriented. The flurry of untamed fury was swiftly ended by a Body Slam, which the strong impact fired Kadabra half-away across the football field sized battlefied. Man, that Poliwrath is strong, Isaac thought. His distracted mind proved to be ineffective in this case, but a quick slaps across the face returned him to a battleworthy mentality. "Kadabra! Stay down!" Isaac ordered. The volume of his voice was carried by the cool wind that swept through the field and Kadabra remained on the ground. The opposing trainer was offset by Isaac's thinking but a quick point of his finger and Poliwrath processed to unleash a mighty focus punch. Charging at unnatural speeds, Poliwrath's powerful attack caused even Isaac's to become sick. Suddenly Kadabra released a fully-charged Psybeam attack point blank on Poliwarth, launching the opponent like a rocket. With his defenses down, the Poliwrath stood no chance against the attack and a prompt defeat was delivered.
"Winner: Kadabra. Current score is 5 Pokemon to 4 Pokemon. Prepare for the next battle," the judge demanded.
"Go! Pinsir!" The experienced trainer ordered his next Pokemon to take the stand. An oversized bettle emerged from its Pokemon and there stood a Pinsir, a rare bug Pokemon. Kadabra was cleary unnerved by the Pinsir's large size and powerful pincers. With no hesistation, the Pinsir charged and captured Kadabra in a Vicegrip. Much like the Poliwrath before, Pinsir did not know the concept of mercy or fair play and prefered to end battles quickly. The strong grip was crushing every fragment of Kadabra's body, causing the Psy Pokemon to be unable to concentrate on building power for its Psybeam attack. A breakthrough however, came to Kadabra and he used Disable to cause a mental block in Pinsir's mind preventing from using Vicegrip. Realizing Psybeam caused too much time to actually use, Kadabra employed Confusion to mentally assualt the enraged bug pokemon. Dazed and confused after the attack, Pinsir slapped itself across the face bringing down its defeat.
"Round 2 is over," announced the Judge, "Current score is 5 to 3. Prepare for the next battle."
"I command you to bring me victory: Haunter!" From the depths of the Pokeball arose the ghost Pokemon of Haunter. Isaac hoped to avoid this horrid beast by sprinting away from Lavender Town but apparantly he was enjoying his avoidance of ghosts too much. Kadabra, now tired and weak was vulernable to Haunter's deadly techinques and soon Kadabra was a victim. After some taunting, Haunter put Kadabra to sleep with Hypnosis. Now asleep, Kadabra became defenseless and unable to even conjur a counter out of thin air. Using the dangerous move of Dream Eater, Haunter consumed the life force of Kadabra and regenerated any lost health it had. The dirty tatics brought Kadabra to defeat.
"Round 3 is complete. New score is 4 to 3. Bring forth your second Pokemon." The judge stated directing his attention to Isaac.
"Alright. Good stuff but Pikachu will take it from here." The Pokeball soon revealed Isaac's favorite little mouse Pokemon. Restless and ready, Pikachu charged the ghost Pokemon with a Slam. However the lack of mass that Haunter had caused Pikachu to phase through her opponent. Haunter employed the move of Night Shade and the shadow attack caused great pain mentally and physically. Despite suffering a great deal, Pikachu launched a last ditch effort upon the Ghost Pokemon and fired a mighty Thunderbolt, shocking every last bit of the shadow ghoul of a Pokemon. Despite being fried to a crisp, Haunter attempted to put Pikachu to sleep but failed miserably as a clever use of Agility allowed Pikachu to run circles around her enemy and a Discharge of electrical fury brought the Ghost Pokemon down.
"Round 4 has reached a conclusion. The score stands at 4 to 2. Next round will begin immediately."
"I choose you! Dugtrio!" The ball that contained the next opponent for Pikachu was placed underground, and sprouting from the ground like flowers in the spring were 3 mole-like Pokemon. Much like the rest of the Pokemon of the trainers party, the enemy was fast as seen by the sudden disappearance of them when descending underground. In a matter of seconds, Dugtrio encased Pikachu in a circle of torment upon using a combination of Dig and Slash. The digging caused Dugtrio to vanish and appear almost insantly and the slash attacks hit Pikachu from all sides. Unable to launch a successful counterattack, Pikachu resorted to randomly slamming the ground, hoping for a shred of luck. Dugtrio's brutal tatics prevented any luck from occuring to poor Pikachu and a final slash attack brought the electric mouse down to its knees in defeat.
"The fifth round is finished. The scores stands at 3 to 2. Prepare for the next round."
"Heh. I select...Mac...Champ?" Unknown to Isaac, his recently acquired Machoke from the trade with his longtime rival, Peter, had evolved into its four-armed fighting monster Machamp. Beefed up and ready to inflict pain, Machamp charged the Dugtrio with an epic karate chop. However, Dugtrio avoided the reckless attempt and dug away. Machamp's godly strength shattered the ground and left nothing but rubble. Enraged, Machamp once again blindly attacked and left rubble in its awake. The process continued of charging chop, dodge, rubble until little ground was left and Machamp exhausted all its energy resources. Dugtrio seized its one time opportunity and unleashed a high magnitude attack. The reminder of Machamp's health and energy was insantly removed and the mighty earth-shaking attack brought Machamp to a swift defeat, leaving Isaac in a cantonic state.
"Round 6 is now complete. The score is now tied 2 to 2. The next round will begin once the next Pokemon is selected."
After examining Dugtrio's cowardly tatics, Isaac chose his next Pokemon carefully. "Go! Gyarados!!" The ground shook and the sky filled with storm clouds upon the selected Pokemon's summoning. Gyarados. Even the trainer's legs began to quake in fear. Dugtrio immediately burrowed underground, however fear caused it to freeze in its place and Gyarados forced its overgrown head to remove Dugtrio from its hiding place with an Ice Fang. With Dugtrio's frozen body in its grip, Gyarados violently shook its head like a monster feasting on fleash before slamming the tiny body against the ground. The match was barbic but reached a quick conclusion, and most of the humans in the area were happy for at least that thought. A sick grin was on the host's face seening how this battle had to give him a great rating's boost. The sight of the broken and battered Dugtrio brought tears to the eyes of its trainer.
"Round 7 is now finished. The score is 2 to 1. Trainer select your final Pokemon." The judge ordered.
"Good thing you picked that Pokemon. This round will be finished even faster than the last one." The trainer was no nonsense and his next Pokemon displayed that in the form of Jolteon. Gyarados was unnerved by the sight of the electric Pokemon and for good reason. A few thundershocks were fired but some nice flexibility from Gyarados prevented the direct hits. Angred, Jolteon fired Gyarados' worst nightmare: Shock Wave. The unavoidable attack made direct contact with the serpent like Pokemon and a humiliting defeat.
"Round 8 is complete. The score is even at 1 to 1. The final round will commence."
"Its all up to you. Night!" The epic battle was to reach its end. The two rare evolutions of the legendary evolution pokemon clashed ends in the middle of the field before jumping back to a safe distance. Thundershocks were fired and Umbreon managed to dance around the small shocks. Night kicked up some dust grounding the lightening attacks and allowing Umbreon to quick attack Jolteon in cover. As Jolteon flew back, in midair, Night launched a Dark Pulse. The added force attack increased Jolteon's velocity creating a crater nearly twice the size that would of been caused by Jolteon's initial speed. Weak yet angered, Jolteon released a mighty shock wave. The attack being 100% accurate made a direct impact and a similar result was achieved as Umbreon was struck mid air by a second electrical wave. Battered and broken, the two evolved pokemon meant face to face with mighty tackles. Successive tackles clashed in the middle of the field and shocks from the impacts could be felt through the ground. Each blow grew stronger and stronger and not a single one gave any ground. But then a pause. The field became silent as if the dead suddenly roamed the Earth. All that could be heard was the wind scraping against the grassy plains. Umbreon stared at its opponent and suddenly without warning Jolteon fell to the ground defeated.
"The Final Round is complete. Umbreon is the winner!" Isaac roared with excitement and Night semed to cheer as well. The host of Battles Live rushed over to Isaac and prepared for his closing segment.
"Congratulations on your victory. Isaac right?"
"Yes sir."
"Here is your prize. A Growlithe to call your own. Any last words?"
"Just that my Pokemon brought home an awesome victory and I cannot wait to see what we can bring when we hit the Pokemon League."
"Big words, Isaac. We will see you there. Join us next week as we bring you, the viewers, more amazing battles as we tour Kanto searching for more up and comers, like Isaac here, to duke it out for prize worthing Pokemon."
With a victory on his mind, Isaac continued forth to Celadon.
