The Pokemon Adventure: Kanto Region

Battle of the Eeevolutions

OOC: This will be a wall of text. I wonder if I can finish it. I made a few errors with moves, but my update on Page 8 of the OOC thread has the moves that should have been updated. I realized this after Round 3.

With a great flash of blinding white light, the first confrontation began. From the challenger's Pokeball rose a Poliwrath, sporting a pale blue body and bulging muscles that made even Isaac feel womanly. However, the tide of battle would shift in Isaac's favor as Kadabra was summoned to his side of the field. Wasting no time, Poliwrath charged the Psy Pokemon hoping to prevent it from unleashing any attacks whatsoever. Unable to match its speed and agility, Kadabra was struck violently by a series of slapping attacks causing the mighty psychic pokemon to become disoriented. The flurry of untamed fury was swiftly ended by a Body Slam, which the strong impact fired Kadabra half-away across the football field sized battlefied. Man, that Poliwrath is strong, Isaac thought. His distracted mind proved to be ineffective in this case, but a quick slaps across the face returned him to a battleworthy mentality. "Kadabra! Stay down!" Isaac ordered. The volume of his voice was carried by the cool wind that swept through the field and Kadabra remained on the ground. The opposing trainer was offset by Isaac's thinking but a quick point of his finger and Poliwrath processed to unleash a mighty focus punch. Charging at unnatural speeds, Poliwrath's powerful attack caused even Isaac's to become sick. Suddenly Kadabra released a fully-charged Psybeam attack point blank on Poliwarth, launching the opponent like a rocket. With his defenses down, the Poliwrath stood no chance against the attack and a prompt defeat was delivered.

"Winner: Kadabra. Current score is 5 Pokemon to 4 Pokemon. Prepare for the next battle," the judge demanded.

"Go! Pinsir!" The experienced trainer ordered his next Pokemon to take the stand. An oversized bettle emerged from its Pokemon and there stood a Pinsir, a rare bug Pokemon. Kadabra was cleary unnerved by the Pinsir's large size and powerful pincers. With no hesistation, the Pinsir charged and captured Kadabra in a Vicegrip. Much like the Poliwrath before, Pinsir did not know the concept of mercy or fair play and prefered to end battles quickly. The strong grip was crushing every fragment of Kadabra's body, causing the Psy Pokemon to be unable to concentrate on building power for its Psybeam attack. A breakthrough however, came to Kadabra and he used Disable to cause a mental block in Pinsir's mind preventing from using Vicegrip. Realizing Psybeam caused too much time to actually use, Kadabra employed Confusion to mentally assualt the enraged bug pokemon. Dazed and confused after the attack, Pinsir slapped itself across the face bringing down its defeat.

"Round 2 is over," announced the Judge, "Current score is 5 to 3. Prepare for the next battle."

"I command you to bring me victory: Haunter!" From the depths of the Pokeball arose the ghost Pokemon of Haunter. Isaac hoped to avoid this horrid beast by sprinting away from Lavender Town but apparantly he was enjoying his avoidance of ghosts too much. Kadabra, now tired and weak was vulernable to Haunter's deadly techinques and soon Kadabra was a victim. After some taunting, Haunter put Kadabra to sleep with Hypnosis. Now asleep, Kadabra became defenseless and unable to even conjur a counter out of thin air. Using the dangerous move of Dream Eater, Haunter consumed the life force of Kadabra and regenerated any lost health it had. The dirty tatics brought Kadabra to defeat.

"Round 3 is complete. New score is 4 to 3. Bring forth your second Pokemon." The judge stated directing his attention to Isaac.

"Alright. Good stuff but Pikachu will take it from here." The Pokeball soon revealed Isaac's favorite little mouse Pokemon. Restless and ready, Pikachu charged the ghost Pokemon with a Slam. However the lack of mass that Haunter had caused Pikachu to phase through her opponent. Haunter employed the move of Night Shade and the shadow attack caused great pain mentally and physically. Despite suffering a great deal, Pikachu launched a last ditch effort upon the Ghost Pokemon and fired a mighty Thunderbolt, shocking every last bit of the shadow ghoul of a Pokemon. Despite being fried to a crisp, Haunter attempted to put Pikachu to sleep but failed miserably as a clever use of Agility allowed Pikachu to run circles around her enemy and a Discharge of electrical fury brought the Ghost Pokemon down.

"Round 4 has reached a conclusion. The score stands at 4 to 2. Next round will begin immediately."

"I choose you! Dugtrio!" The ball that contained the next opponent for Pikachu was placed underground, and sprouting from the ground like flowers in the spring were 3 mole-like Pokemon. Much like the rest of the Pokemon of the trainers party, the enemy was fast as seen by the sudden disappearance of them when descending underground. In a matter of seconds, Dugtrio encased Pikachu in a circle of torment upon using a combination of Dig and Slash. The digging caused Dugtrio to vanish and appear almost insantly and the slash attacks hit Pikachu from all sides. Unable to launch a successful counterattack, Pikachu resorted to randomly slamming the ground, hoping for a shred of luck. Dugtrio's brutal tatics prevented any luck from occuring to poor Pikachu and a final slash attack brought the electric mouse down to its knees in defeat.

"The fifth round is finished. The scores stands at 3 to 2. Prepare for the next round."

"Heh. I select...Mac...Champ?" Unknown to Isaac, his recently acquired Machoke from the trade with his longtime rival, Peter, had evolved into its four-armed fighting monster Machamp. Beefed up and ready to inflict pain, Machamp charged the Dugtrio with an epic karate chop. However, Dugtrio avoided the reckless attempt and dug away. Machamp's godly strength shattered the ground and left nothing but rubble. Enraged, Machamp once again blindly attacked and left rubble in its awake. The process continued of charging chop, dodge, rubble until little ground was left and Machamp exhausted all its energy resources. Dugtrio seized its one time opportunity and unleashed a high magnitude attack. The reminder of Machamp's health and energy was insantly removed and the mighty earth-shaking attack brought Machamp to a swift defeat, leaving Isaac in a cantonic state.

"Round 6 is now complete. The score is now tied 2 to 2. The next round will begin once the next Pokemon is selected."

After examining Dugtrio's cowardly tatics, Isaac chose his next Pokemon carefully. "Go! Gyarados!!" The ground shook and the sky filled with storm clouds upon the selected Pokemon's summoning. Gyarados. Even the trainer's legs began to quake in fear. Dugtrio immediately burrowed underground, however fear caused it to freeze in its place and Gyarados forced its overgrown head to remove Dugtrio from its hiding place with an Ice Fang. With Dugtrio's frozen body in its grip, Gyarados violently shook its head like a monster feasting on fleash before slamming the tiny body against the ground. The match was barbic but reached a quick conclusion, and most of the humans in the area were happy for at least that thought. A sick grin was on the host's face seening how this battle had to give him a great rating's boost. The sight of the broken and battered Dugtrio brought tears to the eyes of its trainer.

"Round 7 is now finished. The score is 2 to 1. Trainer select your final Pokemon." The judge ordered.

"Good thing you picked that Pokemon. This round will be finished even faster than the last one." The trainer was no nonsense and his next Pokemon displayed that in the form of Jolteon. Gyarados was unnerved by the sight of the electric Pokemon and for good reason. A few thundershocks were fired but some nice flexibility from Gyarados prevented the direct hits. Angred, Jolteon fired Gyarados' worst nightmare: Shock Wave. The unavoidable attack made direct contact with the serpent like Pokemon and a humiliting defeat.

"Round 8 is complete. The score is even at 1 to 1. The final round will commence."

"Its all up to you. Night!" The epic battle was to reach its end. The two rare evolutions of the legendary evolution pokemon clashed ends in the middle of the field before jumping back to a safe distance. Thundershocks were fired and Umbreon managed to dance around the small shocks. Night kicked up some dust grounding the lightening attacks and allowing Umbreon to quick attack Jolteon in cover. As Jolteon flew back, in midair, Night launched a Dark Pulse. The added force attack increased Jolteon's velocity creating a crater nearly twice the size that would of been caused by Jolteon's initial speed. Weak yet angered, Jolteon released a mighty shock wave. The attack being 100% accurate made a direct impact and a similar result was achieved as Umbreon was struck mid air by a second electrical wave. Battered and broken, the two evolved pokemon meant face to face with mighty tackles. Successive tackles clashed in the middle of the field and shocks from the impacts could be felt through the ground. Each blow grew stronger and stronger and not a single one gave any ground. But then a pause. The field became silent as if the dead suddenly roamed the Earth. All that could be heard was the wind scraping against the grassy plains. Umbreon stared at its opponent and suddenly without warning Jolteon fell to the ground defeated.

"The Final Round is complete. Umbreon is the winner!" Isaac roared with excitement and Night semed to cheer as well. The host of Battles Live rushed over to Isaac and prepared for his closing segment.

"Congratulations on your victory. Isaac right?"

"Yes sir."

"Here is your prize. A Growlithe to call your own. Any last words?"

"Just that my Pokemon brought home an awesome victory and I cannot wait to see what we can bring when we hit the Pokemon League."

"Big words, Isaac. We will see you there. Join us next week as we bring you, the viewers, more amazing battles as we tour Kanto searching for more up and comers, like Isaac here, to duke it out for prize worthing Pokemon."

With a victory on his mind, Isaac continued forth to Celadon.

OOC: My longest post yet... XD

Episode 20 - All Fired Up!

"Gloom! Use Stun Spore!" yelled Erika, as she commanded her weed Pokémon. Gloom laughed evilly and began shaking its head, causing a fine yellow dust to flow through the air and cover the opposing Oddish on the other side of the field.

"No!" Belinda yelled, "Shake it off and use Acid, Oddish!" she begged, tears welling in her eyes. With all it's strength Oddish got to its feet and shot a steam of poisonous sludge at Gloom from under the leaves atop its head.

"Absorb her attack and send it back at her twice as strong!" ordered Erika, as she laughed at Belinda's simple mistake. Gloom leant forwards and caught the sludge in the top of its head, it stopped a moment to let the goo sink in... before shooting a much larger quantity of sludge straight at Oddish.

The attack collided with the small Grass Pokemon, knocking it head over heels and having it come to rest upon its back. "Oddish!" called Belinda, running over to her injured Pokémon, "Are you ok...?" she asked quietly.
Oddish shook her head and a tear rolled down its cheek, "It's ok..." comforted Belinda, as she cradled the upset Pokémon in her arms.

"Oddish is unable to battle!" yelled Erika at the top of her lungs, "Gloom and Erika are the winners!" Erika laughed at her own joke and then approached Belinda with Gloom close behind, "If that was a real Gym battle, I would have gone a lot harder on you... you're lucky that I'm your aunt."

Belinda sniffed and got to her feet, "Oddish is really hurt," she whispered, looking down at her injured Pokémon.

"Well that's why you shouldn't use a weak Pokémon like Oddish against its much stronger evolved form of Gloom," returned Erika coldly. Erika sighed and glanced down at Gloom, "But, because I know how strong Gloom is... if I were to evolve it, I would be unstoppable!"

Belinda wiped a tear from her eye, "What do you mean?" she asked, a little confused.

Erika reached into her pocket and pulled out a grey stone with what looked like a leaf impression upon it, "If I use this Leaf Stone on Gloom, it will evolve in to Vileplume." Erika smirked and glanced between Oddish and Gloom, "And, that's what I'm going to do..." she bent down and placed the stone against Gloom's flower head.
The stone disappeared and Gloom began to glow a bright white light, her body and flower grew much larger and in an instant there was a new Pokémon standing before Erika and Belinda.

With one hand Belinda reached into her pocket and pulled out her Pokédex, she flipped it open and pointed it at Vileplume.

[PokeCommunity.com] The Pokemon Adventure: Kanto Region
Vileplume: the evolved form of Gloom.
Its petals are the largest in the world. As it walks, it scatters extremely allergenic pollen.

Vileplume laughed evilly while Erika cheered for her newly evolved Pokémon, "Oh! I love her so much!" she squeaked.

Belinda watched in anger as Erika jumped up and down, celebrating her Gloom's evolution. Oddish sniffed and looked over at Vileplume, who gave her an evil look... which Oddish returned with a challenging glare.

Zeke leaned over the coffee table and rummaged around for his Pokéball's, Belinda quickly snapped out of her memories and turned to Zeke, "What's going on? What are you doing?" she asked with a confused expression.

Zeke grabbed the Pokéball's and clipped them to his belt, "I'm going to challenge Erika..." he replied, as if she should know already.
Charmeleon, who was standing next to Zeke, nodded and grinned cheekily.

Belinda shook her head, "Uh... don't you want to spend a bit more time exploring Celadon?" she asked quickly and hesitantly, "I heard there's a really cool mansion at the north end of town."

Zeke sighed, "First you're telling me to get prepared for my battle with Erika... and now you're trying to stop me from going," he whined.

"I just think..." she began, looking down at her feet, "Maybe we should..." she continued... raising her head, only to find that Zeke was making his way out of the Pokémon Centre.
Belinda quickly jumped to her feet, awakening Eevee from her slumber... before bolting out the door. Tiredly, Eevee stretched and hoped off the padded seat... following Belinda out of the Pokémon Centre.

~~~~~
Celadon City Gym
Leader: Erika
The grass type Beauty, with a scent for victory.
Zeke stood, reading the sign bolted to the front of the gym, "Watch out Erika! Cause I've got a scent for victory too," he whispered to himself.
Charmeleon tilted his head and looked up at Zeke; the teenage boy blushed and looked at his fire-type lizard... "What?" he questioned.
"Zeke!" yelled Belinda, running towards her friend with Eevee following close behind, "You can't battle Erika!" Belinda stopped and tried to catch her breath.
Zeke sighed, "And why not?"
Belinda gritted her teeth, "I can't tell you..." she finally replied, "You just can't... ok!?"
Zeke shook his head, "Nope..." he began, "I'm here, I'm ready and I'm going to battle Erika!"
Zeke pushed through the doors and stepped into the gym, which looked like a complete jungle inside, "I'm Ezekiel Richards! And I'm here to challenge-"
"Primeape! Finish it off with a Karate Chop!" commanded Dane. The primate Pokémon huffed and ran towards his opponent... Erika's favourite Pokémon, Vileplume. He swung his large paw, which collided with the flower Pokémon... sending it flying across the field and landing unconscious at Erika's feet.
"Vileplume is unable to battle!" announced a pretty young woman, "Dane and Primeape are the winners!"
Dane and Primeape cheered as Erika approached them, "Dane..." she began, "You have defeated me... and with your win, I present you with these," she held a small mechanical device in one hand and a colourful badge in the other... "TM 19, Giga Drain, and the Rainbow Badge."
Dane thanked Erika and winked at the battle announcer, causing her to blush bright red before forwarding out of the Gym... sending Zeke a cold look on the way out.
"Hey you!" called Erika cheerfully, as she began walking in Zeke direction.
"Uhm..." said Zeke, as he tried to think of an answer. But, it turns out he didn't need to...
Erika pushed right past the confused boy and walked right up to Belinda, embracing her in a tight hug.
Belinda faked a smile, "Hey..." she replied hesitantly. "How are you?" she asked, trying to make conversation.
Erika's warm smile changed to a frown, "Don't act all happy with me!" she yelled, "I've heard from your mother!" Belinda lost all emotion and took a step back, "That's right! You thought you could lie to my older sister and just go off on some crazy adventure did you?"
"Well uhm..." muttered Belinda trying to get her words straight.
"No!" said Erika abruptly, "You don't speak; you're in serious trouble young lady!" Erika huffed and turned to face Zeke, "And you! She only just met you and suddenly she decides she wants to go on a Pokémon Journey with you!?"
Zeke stood motionless, "Uh... I knew it was wrong. I just didn't know her aunt was the gym leader of Celadon City."
"So you didn't think that you'd get in trouble!?" she yelled, "That's it! I challenge you to a Pokémon battle!"
Zeke chuckled evilly, "Fine with me..."
~~~~~

"This will be a 3-on-3 Pokémon battle between Erika, gym leader of Celadon City and Ezekiel Richards, from Viridian City!" announced the young woman from the earlier match, "The opponent will be allowed to substitute whenever he wants... but, Erika must keep her Pokémon in until they are unable to battle!"

"Go Tangela!" called Erika, throwing a Pokeball out onto the field. A small grass Pokémon with a body made completely out of vines appeared and jumped up and down angrily.

"Ok!" started Zeke, "Then I choose Charmeleon!" The fire Pokémon jumped onto the field and Erika knew at once they she was in trouble.
"Use Ember, Charmeleon!" called Zeke. Charmeleon leant forwards and spat a small flame towards Tangela.

"Tangela! Dodge it and use Slam!" yelled Erika quickly. Tangela jumped out of the way just in time and leapt towards Charmeleon.

"Scratch attack, Charmeleon!" called Zeke. Charmeleon watched as Tangela sailed through the air above him, waiting for the right time to strike... just as Tangela reach the fire Pokémon, Charmeleon swung its claws through the air... knocking Tangela away and inflicting harsh damage.

"Roll in the air and land on your feet!" screamed Erika. Tangela obeyed and landed safely, "Now use Ancient Power!" she added. Tangela half closed her eyes and suddenly half a dozen large rocks ripped out of the ground and floated above the grass Pokémon.

"Quickly, use Scary Face before Tangela can finish the attack!" yelled Zeke quickly. Charmeleon stepped one foot forward and glared angrily at Tangela, the grass Pokémon froze where it stood and lost the power in its attack... causing the heavy rocks to fall and crush her.

Erika gritted her teeth and returned Tangela, "The battle isn't over yet!" she pointed out. Throwing a new Pokéball onto the field, "I choose Victreebel!" In a flash, a large yellow Pokémon with dark spots emerged from the Pokéball.
"Use Acid quickly, Victreebel!" yelled Erika, trying to attack straight off the bat... so that Zeke wouldn't have any time to counter. It worked... Victreebel shot a stream of Acid at Charmeleon, which hit and covered the lizard from head to toe.

Charmeleon writhed in pain from the poisonous goo, but wasn't about to give up now. "Don't worry, Charmeleon... use Scratch!" called Zeke, trying to remain optimistic.
Charmeleon clenched his teeth and ran towards the stationary Victreebel, but at the last minute the grass Pokémon bounced into the air and sailed over the top of Charmeleon, causing the fire Pokémon's attack to swing through the air.

"Victreebel! Keep bouncing and let the Acid defeat Charmeleon!" yelled Erika, who had planned a very smart tactic.
Victreebel screeched and continued to bounce around the field, obliterating any chance of attacking that Charmeleon had.

Zeke thought for a moment while he watched Victreebel bounding around, he noticed that Erika's Pokémon had to stop every time it landed and turn before jumping again, as he watch he also noticed that Victreebel was getting tired... "It's getting tired..." he said quietly.
"Charmeleon!" yelled Zeke, "When Victreebel lands hit it with your Scary Face attack!" Charmeleon nodded, still in pain from the poison... he watch and waited, Victreebel landed just a few feet away and turned, "NOW!" yelled Zeke.
Charmeleon spun around and glared at Victreebel, stopping it in its tracks, "Now finish it with Dragon Rage!" Charmeleon bared it teeth and began bellowing a huge flurry of blue flame towards Victreebel, the flames engulfed the grass Pokémon and burnt it to the point of which it was unable to battle.

Erika stomped her feet angrily, before returning Victreebel. She was down 3-1 and knew she had to give it all she could, if she was going to win this battle.
"Go Vileplume!" she yelled, tossing her last Pokéball onto the field. In a blinding flash Erika's powerhouse and favourite Pokémon appeared.

"Charmeleon!" began Zeke cockily, "Use Scratch!" Charmeleon groaned and shuffled slowly towards Vileplume, the poison from Victreebel's Acid was really taking its toll on the fire Pokémon.

"Charmeleon is already weak," said Erika, "Give it your stun spore." Vileplume yawned and carelessly shook the large flower atop her head; a fine yellow powder floated out and covered Charmeleon. The lizard Pokémon cough and all of a sudden its body locked up, causing it to fall to the ground.

Zeke held up a Pokéball and returned Charmeleon, "You put up a good fight, buddy..." He clipped the Pokéball back onto his belt and thought for a moment, "Who would be able to take down Vileplume?" he thought.
Suddenly there was a clap of thunder and through the windows; Zeke could see storm clouds forming... the lights within the gym flickered.

"What's going on!?" yelled Erika, getting slightly annoyed by the disturbance. Vileplume put her hands on her hips and glanced angrily around the room, suddenly there was a blur of purple and Vileplume fell over backwards.

"GAAASTLYYY!" laughed a deep voice and all of a sudden, a black ball with purple gas floating around it appeared on Zeke's side of the field.

Erika clenched her fist and stared at Zeke and the ghostly ball of darkness, "Fine! You've chosen Gastly, it doesn't matter... I'll still beat you!"

Zeke scratched his head, "Gastly?" he questioned, pulling out his Pokédex and pointing it at the ball of gas.

[PokeCommunity.com] The Pokemon Adventure: Kanto Region
Gastly: the gas Pokémon.
This Pokémon's body is 95% made up of gases, which are blown away by strong gusts of wind.

"But, Gastly isn't mine!" Zeke yelled, "It just keeps following me!"

"Too bad, it's on your side of the field... you're going to have to use it," said Erika, "Vileplume! Use Acid!" Vileplume leant forward a shot the same type of sludge that Victreebel had earlier in the match, but instead of covering Gastly... the goo just went straight through and landed as a puddle at Zeke's feet.

Gastly then disappeared... a few seconds later Vileplume went still and start to shake violently. Gastly's Night Shade attack was having an effect, Vileplume fell to her knees and suddenly a large phantom fist appeared which landed a direct hit on Vileplume and sent her through the air and into a wall.

"Vileplume is unable to battle!" announced the young woman standing on the side of the field, "Ezekiel and Gastly are the winners!"
Zeke cheered and looked around to find Gastly, so that he could thank him... but the ghost Pokémon was no-where to be seen.

~~~~~
Belinda approached Zeke, who was eyeing his new badge... "So, I guess this is goodbye," said Zeke, when he finally noticed Belinda.
Belinda nodded, "My mom called and said that I have to stay here with my aunt..."
Zeke scratched the back of his neck, "Well... I," he said quietly, trying to get his words straight.
Belinda embraced Zeke and kissed him passionately; she pulled away and slipped something into his back pocket... "I'll miss you..." she whispered.
"Yes!" Gold shouted after the officers had left the room. Usually, you shouldn't be happy when somebody got arrested, but Zackary was the exception.
Gold bent down and attempted to hug his officially his Larvitar, but then jumped back. Larvitar glowed a white color and transformed in shape. Gold watched in amazement as it turned into a brand new pokemon. It looked almost like a cocoon pokemon, just bigger and harder-looking.
Gold pulled out his pokedex and pointed it at the pokemon. No data available, it said.
"Right," Gold mumbled. This pokemon wasn't in the Kanto region, which meant that data wouldn't be available. He bent down and picked up the pokemon in both his arms. "Well…maybe we can figure your name out later."
The gang walked out the underground and to the entrance of Celadon City. They immediately went to the pokemon center. Gold put mystery pokemon back in its pokeball and handed it, along with his other pokemon to the nurse. He hoped that all of them would all be okay be the day after next when he planned to challenge the gym leader.
Gold then, after a big dinner, went to bed and slept in till almost eleven o' clock. He cursed himself for not setting an alarm and bolted out his room. He ran down the hall of the center until he heard a familiar cute voice.
"Pika!"
Gold turned around and saw his little electric mouse running to him. The mouse jumped into his arms and smiled at his trainer. Gold grinned and stroked his head.
"Hey, you feeling better? I missed your battling." Gold said grinning. He paused and looked around the quiet hallway for a moment and then looked back at his pokemon. "I got an idea. Let's just go out, you and me. It's been a while since it was just you and me."
Pikachu smiled and climbed up on his spot on Gold's head. They both walked out the door and into the city.
"Hmm, I wonder where we should go first?"
It was a good question for Gold to ask himself. The city was so large that there were so many things to do. He decided to just walk around and browse. The whole city was crowded and there were many shops, especially perfume and incense ones. That was nothing but bleah to Gold.
Then there was something up ahead of him and Pikachu. The area was colorful with many banners and joyful people. Stands were set up all over the area with each one of them surrounded by an abundance of people.
"Wow, it's like some sort of festival. Just our luck to arrive in the city on the day of one," Gold said cheerfully. He took off and ran in the center of the crowd to check out what kind of things were going on. There were many interesting things going on like a pokemon magic show, a dance involving pokemon, and then something that really caught Gold's eye.
It was a man standing behind an assortment of items spread out over a stand. They were colorful stones that gleamed in the sunlight. The thing that really interested Gold though was the pokemon that surrounded the man. One was a Flareon just like his, a Raichu like the one he battled against Lt. Surge, and a pokemon Gold had never seen. It was a blue pokemon with intense eyes, large, muscular arms, and a large swirl on its belly. Gold pulled out his pokedex.
Poliwrath, the Tadpole Pokemon, it read. With its extremely tough muscles, it can keep swimming in the Pacific Ocean without resting.
The man smiled happily at Gold. "Hello, young sir! I'm sure you will be interested to look at the items I possess."
Gold didn't respond. He curiously looked down at the gleaming stones sitting on the stand. Pikachu leaped off his shoulder and next to Flareon, who he began to speak to. Gold looked up at his pokemon for a moment before concentrating on the stones again. He then noticed an oddly familiar one. It was a red and orange stone with a flame design in the middle. Gold picked it up and showed it to the man.
"Hey, this is a fire stone!" he exclaimed.
"Precisely," said the man nodding. He took the stone from Gold's hand and placed it back on the stand. "And have you figured out what it does?"
Yeah," Gold responded. "…But by accident, kind of. My Eevee touched it and evolved into a Flareon like yours. But wait…" Gold looked down at the other stones on the table. One of them was a dark blue color that was almost the color of the ocean itself. The one next to it almost looked like a plain stone with a fossilized leaf in the middle. The stones confused Gold. There was more than the fire stone?
But then Gold saw a stone that really interested him. It was a dark green-blue color that glittered in the sunlight. In the center of the stone was a design that looked like a lightning bolt.
"This stone is really interesting," Gold mumbled without thinking.
The man snatched the stone up and held it up for Gold to observe.
"This stone is really interesting," he said. "This is called the thunder stone. It can evolve Eevee, and certain electric pokemon. In fact, it could evolve your Pikachu here if you want for it to."
"That stone can?" Gold asked. Pikachu leaped back on his shoulder to observe.
"Yes, if you want, I can evolve your Pikachu right now. It would evolve into a Raichu."
"Wow, a Raichu, but I don't know…" Gold muttered. It would be awesome for his Pikachu to evolve, but this was different than just regular evolutionary. He had the power to choose when his pokemon would evolve or whether it would evolve or not. It would be cool for his Pikachu to evolve into a stronger electric pokemon, but he would lose that cute little pokemon for good.
The man smiled. "I see you're having trouble deciding, so here."
The man handed Gold the stone. Gold looked down at the stone and then back up at him. "I-"
"Don't worry about it," interrupted the man. "We're giving one free stone to every person stopping by here. It's a special promotion we're doing for this festival."
"Well, thanks," Gold said. He put the stone in his bag and prepared to leave and go back to the Pokemon Center. Figuring out what New Larvitar's name was and whether to evolve Pikachu or not was really important, but right now he had to worry about his upcoming gym battle.
Episode 44: Battle in Celadon City: Chris Vs. Erika (Part 2)
"Primeape, start with Fury Swipes!" Yelled Chris. Primeape started to swipe at Victreebel, but the plant was easily able to dodge and grab on to Primeape with its vine.
"Giga Drain." Said Erika, still just as calm as ever. Victreebel started Sucking out Primeape's health. The victim just struggling to get free.
"Primeape, use Karate Chop!" Yelled Chris. Erika looked on as Primeape hit Victreebel with the attack, still as calm as before... as if she had been in worse spots than that.
"Acid." Said Erika, getting it out quickly. Victreebel spit out acid, but Primeape was able to dodge it before getting into a fighting position. Victreebel shot out another round of Acid, but Primeape was able to dodge it just as easily.
"Primeape, use Low Kick!" Yelled Chris. Primeape ran in and kicked Victreebel into the air. "Now, use Cross Chop!" Primeape jumped into the air and prepared to finish off the Victreebel, but the plant wrapped its vine around Primeape's palms.
"Send it down." Said Erika with a little frown on her face, it was obvious that Chris was a challenge for being a weakling. Victreebel landed on Primeape and let gravity do the rest, sending Primeape into the ground.
"Primeape!" Yelled Chris, but after the Victreebel jumped off of her, the monkey performed another Low Kick, sending the plant into a tree. "All right! Now finish Victreebel off with Cross Chop!"
"Prim,meape!"(T: The final blow, Cross Strike!) Yelled Primeape as she jumped towards Victreebel.
"Victreebel, use Giga Drain!" Yelled Erika, worried for once in this battle. Victreebel shot out its vines to strike Primeape. Primeape was able to dodge the vines and struck Victreebel... hard. Victreebel went flying into the wall, actually cracking it.
"Ooh, that had to hurt. The winner is Chris and Primeape!" Yelled out the judge happily. Erika tossed out Vileplume. "Round 4: Vileplume Vs. Primeape... Begin!"
"...Acid" Said Erika after a pause. Vileplume shot out the Acid, but Primeape was able to dodge it easily. "Giga Drain." Vileplume then shot out vines and drained away Primeape's health.
"Primeape, use Karate Chop once again!" Yelled Chris. Primeape hit Vileplumes vines, causing her to let go. "Now, use Low Kick!" Primeape went in quickly, but Vileplume's vine tripped the monkey, then slapped it back, knocking her out.
"Oooh, the winner is Lady Erika, and Vileplume!" Yelled out the judge. Chris growled before sending Pidgeot out. "Final Round! Vileplume Vs. Pidgeot... Begin!"
"Vileplume, start off with Acid!" Yelled Erika, knowing that Pidgeot wasn't strong enough to win. Vileplume smirked before shooting out a jet of acid, but Pidgeot took to the sky.
"Pidgeot, go in for a Wing Attack!" Yelled Chris. Pidgeot flew at Vileplume, but the plant easily leaped over it before smacking Pidgeot with a rock.
"Vileplume, use Giga Drain!" Yelled Erika. Vileplume shot out her vines, but Pidgeot swerved just enough to only be smacked. Vileplume then smacked Pidgeot by itself before wrapping him up and sucking away his health.
"Pidgeot, use Quick Attack!" Yelled Chris. Pidgeot shot towards Vileplume and hit the plant, but Erika had expected this.
"Vileplume, use Acid." Yelled Erika. Vileplume shot the jet of acid, hurting Pidgeot even more. "Now, Giga Drain!" And once again, Pidgeot was wrapped up and being sucked dry, while covered in sludge.
"Pidgeot, use Quick Attack, take Vileplume for a ride!" Yelled Chris. Pidgeot flew at high speeds along the gym grounds, eventually causing Vileplume to let go. Pidgeot, really tired flew behind a dead tree to rest.
"Use Acid until you hit Pidgeot!" Yelled Erika. Vileplume started shooting Acids at the tree (A total of three) before Pidgeot flew away, leaving the tree in relatively good position... well for being dead...
"Pidgeot, use Wing Attack and end this!" Yelled Chris. Pidgeot soared towards Vileplume and hit the plant, but in true Lv. 49 fashion, Vileplume got up and started to panic, she got hurt pretty badly.
"Vileplume, use Acid once again!" Yelled Erika, and Vileplume shot the sludge at Pidgeot, hurting him even more, this time poisoning him. "Try to calm down Vileplume!" But the Gym Leader wasn't in good shape either.
"Pidgeot, we need to end this now, you've taken too much damage. Use Wing Attack!" Yelled Chris. Pidgeot flew quickly towards Vileplume who was barely able to dodge it. Vileplume shot out her vines, but Pidgeot was easily able to dodge and turn back.
"Vileplume! Use Acid!" Yelled Erika genuinely worried about Vileplume. Vileplume shot out the acid, but again Pidgeot was able to dodge it.
"Vile!" (T: Ch crap!) Yelled Vileplume dodging once again before starting to run to make her harder to hit, Pidgeot slowly gaining speed. Vileplume was now really concerned with her health and shot out Acid on its own accord. Pidgeot dodged it before speeding up to hit Vileplume, but the plant jumped to dodge the strike, then shot the vines, but Pidgeot swerved at the right time.
"Vileplume! Use Giga Drain!" Yelled Erika, but Vileplume was too scared to listen and just ran away, trying to keep away from Pidgeot who was now really going after her.
"Pidgeo!" Yelled Pidgeot cutting Vileplume, but the hit wasn't enough to knock her out. Vileplume shot out its vines, but Pidgeot avoided them once again and chased after the plant once more. Vileplume shot out Acid, but Pidgeot flew straight through it, hurting him even worse, and slammed into Vileplume.
"Vileplume!" Yelled Erika before returning her fallen pokemon. "... You did good, here's your Rainbow Badge, and the TM for Giga Drain." Chris accepted the objects with a grin. "I wish you well on your quest."
"I'll see you later Erika." Said Chris leaving the Gym. Erika sighed before taking out a picture of Fred.
"Your brother... will never be as skilled as you were." Said Erika to the picture before walking to the pokemon center.
(End... Guess where I got the inspiration for the Pidgeot Vs. Vileplume battle... I'll give you a hint, it was a very good battle in Avatar.)
Route 7 & 8 (Part 2) Let's Get Eevee!
Vanessa and Ramon knew that if Eevee saw their battle, then Eevee would know Vanessa's strategy. "Maybe you should think of another strategy." Ramon sighed.
"I can't back out now, I've been waiting to catch this Eevee ever since Rock Tunnel, I have to catch it right here, right now." Vanessa said determined.
"Alright, I hope that you have a plan." Ramon said as he sat down to watch the battle.
"Mr. Bubbles, got another battle left in you?" Vanessa asked Mr. Bubbles.
Vanessa's Wartortle was way too tired to have another battle. "I guess I'll have to choose someone else." Vanessa said disappointed.
"Which other Pokemon is fast?" Ramon said.
"None of my Pokemon are that fast, but I guess Spice will have to do." Vanessa said bringing out her Butterfree to the battlefield.
Spice came out of its Pokeball finally getting a chance to battle. "Let's do our best Spice, we can beat this Eevee." Vanessa said encouraging Spice.
Eevee starting off by using Sand-Attack trying to blind Butterfree, the sand got into Spice's eyes but didn't bother Butterfree at all. Eevee knew that the sand wouldn't do much because of Butterfree's Compoundeyes.
"Use Stun Spore on Eevee Spice," Vanessa commanded. Spice sent the golden powder flying straight at Eevee, but Eevee dodged the powder quite easily. Eevee snickered after dodging the powder to make Butterfree angry.
"Stay cool Spice; don't let Eevee get to you!" Vanessa said trying to calm her Butterfree down. Spice didn't listen and started using Gust at Eevee.
Eevee easily dodged the attack because the twister went only in one direction, Eevee then use Tackle and got Spice down into the ground. "You have to listen to me Spice!" Vanessa exclaimed. Spice slowed down and listened to Vanessa. "I'm glad you calmed down; use Sliver Wind, followed by Stun Spore!" Vanessa commanded.
The mixture of deadly powder came flying all around the area, but Eevee didn't mind because it just ran off to a safe area. "This is going to take a little bit of time." Vanessa said returning Spice into its Pokeball. "Let's try Etoille next!"
Her Wigglytuff came out of its Pokeball eyeing the Eevee; Etoille just thought it was so cute! When Etoille ran over to Eevee to attempt to give it a hug, Eevee simply ran away because Eevee thought that the Wigglytuff was going to attack it.
Etoille suddenly got really angry and really wanted to attack Eevee for real. "Alright Etoille, let's start by using Sing!" Vanessa commanded.
Etoille started to sing a lovely tune that could make any Pokemon fall asleep, but Eevee was smart and went into a hole that was in the battlefield. "That Eevee sure is tricky, but Etoille use Gyro Ball in the hole!" Vanessa commanded.
The steel energy ball went down the hole and Eevee came out and was dealt some damage, "Alright, this looks like way we can defeat this Eevee!" Vanessa exclaimed. "Use Sing one more time!"
The song had reached Eevee; it didn't want to get hurt by Wigglytuff's Gyro Ball again. "Now it's time to catch Eevee!" Vanessa said as she pulled out a fresh Pokemon capsule.
Eevee had suddenly gotten up real day, and charged into Wigglytuff and hurt Etoille badly. It was really angry now. It felt hurt inside; it was going to be hurt by Vanessa, one of their friends.
Eevee rammed Wigglytuff straight into a tree until Etoille was completely knocked out. "What's gotten into Eevee, let me help you Eevee." Vanessa said as she came close to Eevee. Eevee rammed Vanessa as well right into Ramon. Eevee then ran off away from Vanessa and went to find a place to hide.
"I hope Eevee will be alright…" Vanessa said as she ran off to find Eevee.
"Maybe you should send Tangela to find Eevee, after all Eevee seems to be upset with you." Ramon told Vanessa.
"Maybe you're right, let's go Jelly!" Vanessa exclaimed as she summoned Jelly onto the field. Jelly came out to the field and came up to Vanessa wondering what Vanessa wanted, "I want you to find Eevee, and don't hurt it but see why Eevee is acting up," Vanessa told her Tangela. Jelly understood and ran off to look for Eevee.
As the time passed, Jelly had finally found Eevee hiding in a hole. Jelly patted Eevee on the back trying to cheer Eevee, but Eevee didn't respond.
Jelly got concerned asking why Eevee was upset, but still no response for Eevee. Jelly finally started to shake Eevee until Eevee would give a response. Eevee used Tackle and kicked Jelly out of the hole.
Jelly suddenly lost all kindness and was ready to take down Eevee. Eevee saw the darkness in Jelly's eyes. It had done it again; it had caused evil to come upon a Pokemon. Jelly had used Mega Drain and sucked a lot of energy out Eevee.
Jelly then used Anicentpower and was getting beaten around by several rocks. Suddenly a spirit came back to protect Eevee. "Looks like this has happened again… I wonder when this effect will end…" Vivian said as she looked down on her Eevee injured.
Vivian then used her powers to heal Jelly of its evil. "I hope that this curse on this Eevee will be healed." Vivian said as she used a spell to cure darkness. Jelly suddenly fainted and fell asleep. Eevee was about to leave in fear until Eevee was confronted by Vivian.
"You can no longer run in fear; you have to stand up to your fears. Anyway Vanessa is your destiny." Vivian said as she patted Eevee one last time. Eevee told Vivian that it was afraid that Vanessa was going to hurt Eevee. "I can't tell you if Vanessa will hurt you or put you in danger, just trust me on this one and I'll be able to know you're alright…" Vivian said as she faded away once again.
Eevee knew it was time to face up to Vanessa. Eevee had brought Jelly back to Vanessa, no running back.
Vanessa and Ramon saw that Eevee came back with Jelly, unconscious. "Are you alright you two?" Vanessa asked as she came to give a hug. Eevee greatly accepted Vanessa's hug. Eevee made a gesture telling Vanessa that it was ready to challenge Vanessa once again.
"What Pokemon should I use for this battle?" Vanessa said as she pulled out a Pokeball. "I guess I'll use Mr. Bubbles." Vanessa said as she summoned her Wartortle on the field to have a challenge with Eevee.
Mr. Bubbles was finally ready to take down Eevee after training on a fake Eevee. Eevee was ready as well, not giving up whatever happens. "Let's start with Water Gun!" Vanessa commanded.
Water shot out of Wartortle's mouth heading straight at Eevee. Once again, Eevee ran away as fast as usual. "I guess Eevee isn't going to go down easy." Vanessa laughed. "Try using Tackle this time Mr. Bubbles!" Vanessa commanded.
Mr. Bubbles was running towards Eevee, but Eevee dodged the move easily just like last time. "What are you doing Vanessa; you're doing the exact same thing you did to my Ditto." Ramon said confused.
"I know that Ramon, just trust me." Vanessa told Ramon, Eevee spun around in circles trying to confuse Wartortle as it tried to use Water Gun to give damage, but no luck. "Let's try something Mr, Bubbles, use Water Pulse all around you!" Vanessa commanded. Mr. Bubbles gave the Water Pulse strategy a shot.
Sound waves of water came flying around Mr. Bubbles and slowly got to around where Eevee was. Eevee was getting bored waiting for the rings to attack Eevee. As it got impatient, one ring hit Eevee and suddenly Eevee got confused.
"Was this what you were waiting for?" Ramon asked surprised.
"That's right Ramon, anyways Mr. Bubbles, finish out with Tackle combined with Protect!" Vanessa exclaimed.
Mr. Bubble's magical energy got powered into the Tackle and finished Eevee off into the ground. "It's time to use a Pokeball, I hope that I catch an Eevee!" Vanessa exclaimed as she threw her Pokeball at the Eevee. Will she catch Eevee, Vanessa doesn't know, what will the outcome be… TBC
To pieCakeyy: that was....a confusing post. It was good enough to catch eevee just i didn't follow it for a while O.o
You caught a Female Level 16 Eevee!
OOC: Sorry about that post, I hope this one is better o.o;;
Celadon City (Part 1) Erika, What a Rainy Day
The Pokeball stopped, the Eevee had been caught! "Alright, I caught an Eevee!" Vanessa exclaimed with all her Pokemon.
"I'm glad that Vanessa is happy." Ramon said with a chuckle. Suddenly, Ramon felt a raindrop and called out to Vanessa, "We need to find a Pokemon Center and fast!"
Ramon and Vanessa ran off to find the closest Pokemon Center, but they couldn't find the center at all and no one was outside to tell them where it was. "Ramon, you used to work in Celadon City, you should know where the Pokemon Center is." Vanessa said glaring at Ramon as she brought her Eevee out and used her Shadow Ball TM on Eevee.
"They tore down the old one; I don't know where they put the new one." Ramon sighed as they continued to look for the Pokemon Center.
Suddenly they were approached by a woman with a black sweater and a green dress with a clover-like umbrella. "Excuse me, are you two lost?" the woman asked kindly.
"Yes we are we're looking for the Pokemon Center." Ramon said with a lovey-dovey way.
"Well, you must be having terrible luck… you see the Pokemon Center is full and the hotels here are terribly expensive." The woman said with a tiny frown.
"I can't believe this would happen, anyways I guess the next place we should go to the Celadon Gym." Vanessa said as she looked around for the gym.
"You can't battle with Pokemon who are very tired." The woman said pointing at Vanessa's Pokemon.
"What can we do then?" Vanessa asked.
"You could let me heal your Pokemon, just come and relax." The woman said walking off informing Vanessa and Ramon to follow her. Eevee followed the woman without hesitation.
"I guess we have no choice but to trust her." Vanessa said following her Eevee. Ramon was speechless he skipped towards the woman with her clover umbrella.
When they got to the woman's house, they headed in and took a seat in the living room. The woman handed Vanessa and Ramon some green tea. "This is delicious, thanks for letting us stay." Ramon said gratefully.
"No problem, I'll just take your Pokemon and heal them, alright?" the woman asked as she handed her hand out to Vanessa.
"Alright, here are my Pokemon, by the way I'm Vanessa, and my friend over here in Ramon. Who are you?" Vanessa asked.
"My name is Erika, you two should relax and I'll be down soon." Erika said heading upstairs to heal Vanessa's Pokemon.
A few minutes later, Vanessa and Ramon were eating cookies that Erika had left on the table. Erika had come down with Vanessa's Pokeballs and sat down. "I hope you two like those cookies." Erika giggled.
"Yes, I'll love anything you make me," Ramon said as he tried to hug Erika. He suddenly noticed that Erika had dozed off. "Well, that's rude of her."
Erika suddenly woke up, "You said you wanted to head off to the Celadon Gym?" Erika asked.
"That's right, could you take me there?" Vanessa asked.
"Of course, it's not that far from here." Erika said heading out the door with her umbrella. "Ramon, do you need an umbrella?"
"No thanks, I don't need one." Ramon pouted as he was totally ignored by Erika.
Vanessa slapped herself on the forehead and went out with her umbrella. Ramon followed Vanessa and walked in the rain.
A few minutes later, they had reached the colourful gym and Vanessa and Ramon entered leaving Erika behind. As they entered, there were two maid blocking the entrance, "Excuse me, the gym is closed right now." The first maid said pointing at Vanessa and Ramon.
Suddenly Erika had come to the door, "Can you let us through Peggy and Meg?"
"Of course Mistress Erika, we didn't know that they were your guests." Peggy the maid said letting Erika in.
"I am very confused…" Ramon said heading into the gym.
"How do you think I feel?" Vanessa said as she entered the gym.
When they entered the lobby, they lost sight of Erika. "Where did Erika go?" Vanessa asked.
Suddenly, Erika entered the lobby wearing a yellow kimono with a red hair band. "Welcome to the Celadon Gym, I am the gym leader Erika, I'm glad we get to battle eachother. "Erika said gesturing them to the arena.
"You're the gym leader?" Vanessa said surprised.
"Yes, that is correct now come along, no time like the present." Erika said heading into the arena.
The gym was a greenhouse with several flowers in the arena with no roof, so rain came falling into the arena. "Do you have a roof that you can out on?" Vanessa asked as she got mad because she was getting wet.
"Unfortunately no, I battle in nature's condition." Erika said heading to her stand.
Megan and Peggy came out with flags and were going to explain the rules, "Welcome to the Celadon Gym, here are the rules for this gym battle!" Peggy said introducing the rules. "You may only use three Pokemon, the challenge Vanessa may substitute her Pokemon, but the gym leader Erika cannot," Peggy concluded.
"Let's see, I'll start with Spice!" Vanessa said summoning her Butterfree to the battlefield. Spice had come flying into the battlefield only to be battered by the rain. "This doesn't seem to be the best choice…"
"I guess it isn't, but just in case, I choose Victreebel to the battlefield!" Erika said summoning her Victreebel. It came out with a vicious cry.
"Let's use Stun Spore!" Vanessa commanded. The powder came flying down into the field, but was destroyed by the rain. "This is going to be a lot harder than I thought." Vanessa said disappointed.
"If you're not going to make a move, I might as well start. Victreebel, use Acid," Erika said with compassion. The poisonous acid was so thick that it didn't melt in the rain at all. The poison hurt Butterfree quite a bit.
"This seems to be quite a problem; I'll return Spice for now." Vanessa said bringing in her Pokeball. "I'll use Yui next!" Vanessa said bringing out her Eevee. The Eevee came out with a sweet yet mischievous smile.
"Who's Yui Vanessa?" Ramon asked confused.
"I nicknamed my Eevee Yui, got a problem?" Vanessa said glaring at Ramon. Eevee glared at Ramon as well. "Anyways, Yui let's start with Shadow Ball!"
The ball of darkness went flying straight at Victreebel and dealt some damage. Erika smiled after seeing that Shadow Ball, "I can tell that you just caught that Eevee, but you'll never be able to take down Victreebel with that level for a Pokemon." Erika said calmly. "Victreebel, use Giga Drain and knock out that Eevee."
The energy was huge, but Eevee escaped just in time by running behind a tree in the gym. "Good thinking Yui, you won't get hurt from behind there." Vanessa exclaimed with a smile, "Use Sand-Attack on Victreebel!"
The sand turned into mud very easily and blinded Victreebel. "This may be a problem, but nothing too serious, use Poisonpowder and infect the field." Erika said calmly as she starting to sway around as if she was drunk.
The field was now covered by several poisons; there was no where for Eevee to escape. "You must calm and examine the field Yui." Vanessa told Yui calmly.
Yui looked around the field, and focused all of its power into the Shadow Ball by using the dark skies as concentration of anger. The Shadow Ball was so huge; it made a dark force all over the battlefield. "This is amazing for a Pokemon you recently caught." Erika said as she made a cute little smile.
The outcome was strange; Victreebel was still standing even after the Shadow Ball explosion. "Looks like I was wrong, Eevee was still weak even with that attack… what a shame." Erika said as she started to sit on the bruised stage, "Use Giga Drain to finish off the Eevee."
Victreebel didn't move at all, "What's wrong Victreebel?" Erika asked. Victreebel was unable to move, it was stuck in that position because of the Shadow Ball explosion. "This is a surprise, looks like Victreebel is unable to battle…" Erika said as she returned her Victreebel back into its Pokeball.
"Erika's Victreebel is unable to battle; Vanessa's Eevee is the winner of this round!" Peggy exclaimed. "Erika may now select her second Pokemon to use."
"Alright, let's see… who would be the best choice to use against Eevee." Erika said, she pulled out her Pokeball and summoned a Tangela to the battlefield. "I hope you're ready to see my Tangela's skill."
"Yui, you can take a break now." Vanessa said as she returned her Eevee back into its Pokeball. "Now, let me think what Pokemon should I use?" Vanessa wondered. "I know this Pokemon would be perfect for the battle." Vanessa said as she summoned her next Pokemon.
Jelly came out with a cute cry; it was ready to defeat the opponent's Tangela. "Looks like this shall be a Tangela clash." Erika said excitedly.
"I agree, let's make this a great battle of the two Tangelas!" Vanessa exclaimed as they got ready in their position.
"Tangela V.S Tangela, let Round Two begin you two!" Megan and Peggy exclaimed as they swayed the flag. TBC
To pieCakeyy: haha i forgot Erika narcoleptic lol
(ooc: well, here's the promised mega-long post. It took seven pages in Microsoft to type. Hope you're in the mood to read!)
Gold woke up the next day and slowly got ready for his battle. After getting dressed and eating a breakfast alone, he went to go check on Ivysaur who was still in the recovery room because of his extreme injuries from the cave. He was laying a soft, padded table, sleeping peacefully and soundly. Gold observed him and barely saw a mark. Gold patted his pokemon and made him wake up to look at him.
"Wow, you look a lot better, buddy. Do you feel okay?"
Ivysaur jumped up on his feet and nodded. Gold grinned from ear to ear at his pokemon. He sure was acting a lot better.
"Do you feel up to a battle today? If you don't feel one-hundred percent better just say no. This is gonna be a heck of a battle today."
Ivysaur got up on his back two legs and leaned on Gold as if it were saying "Pleeease." Gold laughed and picked up his pokemon. He was heavy, but Gold still wanted to carry him, just to the lobby. He checked Ivysaur out at the front counter and then left for the gym.
Gold didn't take long to get to the gym. He made it in less than ten minutes and ran up the front door, holding his hand up to grab the handle before it opened all by itself. Gold jumped out of surprise, but scooted over to let whoever was exiting the gym leave. He watched the person exit until he noticed it was somebody he knew: Silver. In his left hand was a shiny rainbow colored badge.
"So, you won your badge?" Gold asked. It was a stupid question. Of course he had won; otherwise he wouldn't have a badge.
"Yeah…" Silver responded.
Gold looked around for a moment before talking. "You wanna hang around for my battle? I'm going in right now."
"Sorry, but no, I gotta go," Silver responded. He began to walk away before Gold called out after him.
"Well, I guess I'll see you back at the Pokemon Center then."
Silver stopped and turned around to face Gold. "No, you won't. I'm leaving for Fuchsia right now. Once I get my pokemon healed, I'm outta here."
"What do you mean? You're splitting from the group?"
Silver sighed and walked over to Gold. "Yeah, that's what I mean. I've learned a lot from traveling with you, more than I thought I would, and one thing is that we're not suited for traveling with each other. Whether you believe it or not, we're enemies. I need to go on my own path."
"I…guess you're right," Gold said.
Silver came over and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Well, I guess this is goodbye for now. Thanks a lot, little bro…….Nothing I never would've said to you before. Hopefully we can battle soon."
Gold nodded and grinned as he watched Silver walk away. It seemed like he had not even entered the gym and he already won a battle.
~~~~~~~~~~~

Gold boldly stood on the other side across from the gym leader. She was rushing to prepare for the match since Silver had just wiped out some of her pokemon. In Gold's eyes, she was like Misty all over again. She had a perfect, pretty face and her hair shined even in the gym lights. Gold scratched his head under his black hair and wondered how he was ever going to stand out to all these pretty girls.

"Well, sadly for you, you're going to battle my strongest pokemon I have since that trainer from the last battle wiped out my other ones," Erika informed.

Thanks a lot, Silver, Gold thought, rolling his eyes. "Fine, bring it on!" he shouted confidently at Erika. He whipped out a pokeball and threw it in the air. "Pikachu, help me out!" he shouted. The pokeball burst open and Gold's little electric mouse appeared on the field with static circling his cheeks.

"Your pokemon isn't close to being as strong as mine. Go Tangela!" Erika shouted as she threw a pokeball out on the field. A pokemon with wild vines all over its body appeared on the field. "Tangela, let's start this battle off with ancient power!"

Wow, this attack again. It was the exact same attack that Gold faced when he battled against Zapdos with Silver. The attack almost killed his pokemon because of its amazing power. It felt so long ago, and it was only a week or two. But this time, the attack was a little better. Instead of a tsunami of rocks, only a few rose in the air and came rushing towards Pikachu.

"Pikachu, hop around them," Gold ordered. Pikachu jumped around a little and dodged the rocks. Gold grinned and raised his hand. "Great, now use quick attack!" Pikachu zipped across the stage and hit the Tangela, making it fly back near Erika.

"Oh, Tangela, get up," Erika said. Tangela rose to its feet and looked angrily at Pikachu. "Great, now use ancient power again!" Tangela rose the rocks up again and flung them at Pikachu.

"Please, not this again. Pikachu dodge!" Gold shouted. Pikachu jumped around and avoided the rocks once more. "Now, quick attack again!" Pikachu zipped across the stage and slammed right into Tangela again. It tumbled on the ground, and weakly stood up.

"One more hit and this round is ours!" Gold shouted. Pikachu raised his tiny fist in the air and proudly cried out.

"This battle isn't over yet. Tangela, this time, hit Pikachu with that ancient power!" Erika shouted. Tangela flew the rocks once again.

"Oh my gosh, and you call yourself a gym leader," Gold grumbled while pulling the hair under his cap. "Pikachu, let's finish this, you know the drill!" Pikachu avoided the rocks and prepared his final attack on Tangela.

"Tangela, do exactly what we planned. Use giga drain."

"Say what?!" Gold shouted. Her plan? He felt so stupid for falling for such a cheap trick as he watched Pikachu glow a green color. It carried back over to Tangela and Pikachu cried out, as if Tangela were draining his energy. Pikachu tumbled on the ground, right in front of Tangela.

"Tangela, let's finish this with slam!" Erika shouted. Tangela thrust its body right into Pikachu, making him cry out and tumble on the ground until he stopped in front of Gold's feet. He attempted to stand up, but collapsed and didn't stand again. Gold ran on the field and picked up the little electric pokemon, placing him on the ground next to him.

"You battled great. Don't worry," Gold said to his pokemon.

Erika giggled. "Tee he, aren't grass pokemon wonderful?"

"Yeah, whatever," Gold mumbled. He pulled out his next pokeball with the pokemon that he knew would carry this battle far. "Pidgeotto, go!" he shouted. Gold threw the pokeball and his bird pokemon appeared on the field.

"A flying pokemon, huh? Interesting choice," Erika said. "Tangela, use ancient power!"

The grass pokemon thrust rocks at Pidgeotto. She dodged all of them quickly and faced the tangela.

"Now, use quick attack!" Gold shouted.

"You think that after that battle that I would be fooled by that attack again? Tangela, use knock off!" Erika shouted. Tangela used its vines on its body and slammed the incoming bird pokemon, making it tumble back.

"Man, I guess this isn't going to work," Gold mumbled. "But grass is weak to flying. Pidgeotto, use gust attack!" Pidgeotto raised her wings to send a gust off air.

:Tangela, hit Pidgeotto with a rock!" Erika ordered. Before Pidgeotto could make her move, Tangela hit her with a rock squarely in the chest, making her cry out and hit the floor. She quickly got back up in the air.

She is making all my attacks useless so I'll think I don't have a chance over her, but I'll show her, thought Gold.

"Tangela, finish off Pidgeotto with ancient power!" Erika shouted.

"Quick, Pidgeotto, use gust to backfire the attack!" Gold shouted. As the rocks rose in the air, Pidgeotto quickly flapped her wings to send the rocks flying back at Tangela. The pokemon became half-buried underneath all of the rocks and its cry died out quickly as it tumbled out of the pile and onto the floor in front of Erika.

"Great job, Pidgeotto!" Gold shouted.

"Oh, Tangela return," Erika sighed. She recalled her pokemon and pulled out a new ball. "I doubt you can even match up to this pokemon. Go Victeerbel!" A large pokemon that resembled a plant appeared on the field. It almost looked like a Venus Fly Trap with its inside full of hot acid.

"Use acid!" Erika shouted. The plant pokemon bent down and shot a dump of acid at the bird.

"Quick, dodge the attack!" Gold shouted.

"Fine then, use stun spore!" Erika shouted. Victeerbel shot out a dusty yellow powder that went straight for Pidgeotto. Pidgeotto dodged and landed on her feet on the ground, breathing heavily. Gold sighed as he looked at her. She was exhausted from the last battle with Tangela.

"Tee he, I think we have this bird right where we want it. Strike this pokemon with a little poison powder," Erika shouted. Victeerbel let out a dark purple colored powder that went straight for Gold's pokemon as she continued to sit there.

"Pidgeotto, move!" Gold shouted. He whipped out a pokeball to recall Pidgeotto before almost dropping it in shock. Pidgeotto began to glow white and transformed. She turned into a large, majestic bird that had a proud sort of look about her. She looked more braver and stronger than before.

"No way, Pidgeot," Gold mumbled.

Pidgeot cried out and split right through the powder and slammed right into Victeerbel with incredible force. The plant pokemon toppled to the side and sat there for a moment before getting back up.

"I think we're back in this game," Gold said confidently. Pidgeot landed next to him and cried out happily.

"This battle isn't over yet. Victeerbel, use acid once more!" Victeerbel threw a gob of purple acid once again at the bird pokemon as she got back up in the air again.

"Pidgeot, dodge and use quick attack!" Gold shouted. Pidgeot zipped around the acid and went straight for Victeerbel.

"Victeerbel, now we've got them. Get Pidgeot with poison powder!" Erika shouted.

"Pidgeot, use your speed to make a strong sand attack!" Gold shouted. Pidgeot, as she was in the process of her quick attack, dove to the ground and used her speed, and friction, to dig up a wave of dirt that cancelled out the poison powder attack. She then slammed hard into Victeerbel with her unfinished quick attack, making the plant topple over.

Victeerbel slowly got up to face the Pidgeot. "While you're close, use giga drain!" Erika shouted.

"Blow Victeerbel back with gust!" Gold shouted. Pidgeot slightly glowed green until she pulled her wings back and flapped them. The wind knocked into Victeerbel and made it fly back into the wall. It slid down the wall, completely out.

"Wow, Pidgeot, you did it again!" Gold shouted. Pidgeot sighed and collapsed on the ground. Gold gasped and ran over to Pidgeot before laughing. "I'm sorry, you battled some tough ones out there. You need a long break." Gold pulled out Pidgeot's pokeball and recalled her.

So this was it. Each trainer was down to their last pokemon. Gold's heart pumped hard as he reached down and felt around his belt for the next pokeball he was going to pick off. He felt mystery pokemon's. No, it wasn't a good choice. He was a rock and ground pokemon which meant he would be slaughtered the second he walked on the field.

Gold's finger then ran across Flareon's pokeball. He clicked it off and held it up with his right hand. Flareon had the total type advantage over grass which made her a great choice to battle with. As Gold held the ball up to throw it on the field, he remembered another pokemon though. Pictures of his Ivysaur flashed in his head.

Gold put back Flareon's ball and pulled off Ivysaur's. Ivysaur needed this battle more than Flareon did. He needed a way to redeem herself after he horrible injuries in the cave and this was the perfect way to do so.

"Ivysaur, go!" Gold shouted. He threw the pokeball and his plant pokemon appeared.He didn't look as if she was ever injured. He stood on the field without a scratch on her body and standing tall.

"Aww, I just love Ivysaurs. Such cute plant pokemon," Erika said. She pulled out her own pokeball. "Too bad it has to faint. Go Vileplume!" A pokemon that looked like a giant flower appeared in front of Erika. Its head floated up and down in a flexible move.

"Vileplume, acid!" Erika shouted. The Vileplume shot out a mass of acid at Ivysaur, just like Victeerbel did last round. It was starting to annoy Gold trying to find ways to avoid the acid.

"Ivysaur, dodge and use sleep powder!" Gold shouted. Ivysaur leaped off his feet and landed out of range, and then let out a light blue powder that headed straight for Vileplume.

"Vileplume, you can cancel out that attack with an acid," Erika said calmly.

"While Vileplume is busy with that, use tackle attack!" Gold shouted. Ivysaur nodded and ran towards the Vileplume and she fought off the powder. She never suspected the attack as Ivysaur slammed into the pokemon hard making it back up a little.

"Good job, Ivysaur! Now use sleep powder again!" Gold shouted.

"Oh no, I'm not falling for that again. Vileplume, use acid on Ivysaur!" Erika shouted. Ivysaur was such a close target to Vileplume that Gold felt like he blinked and all the action went past. All he saw was Ivysaur flying back near Gold with the acid all over the field.

Ivysaur stood up weakly and worked to shake off the attack. "You're okay!" Gold encouraged. "Attack Vileplume with a tackle attack again!" Ivysaur rushed towards Vileplume again with as much force as possible.

"Vileplume, use stun spore to stop Ivysaur!" Erika shouted.

"Ivysaur, no!" Gold shouted. Vileplume released a yellow powder and Ivysaur ran straight through it. He collapsed on the ground and weakly stood up. As he tried to move, he was completely frozen.

"It is time to end this. Vileplume, suck away Ivysaur's energy slowly with giga drain!" Erika shouted.

Gold watched in horror at what was happening. As Ivysaur stood frozen where he stood, he was glowing green from Vileplume's attack. The energy was slowly leaving him, and Ivysaur couldn't do a thing about it.

"C'mon Ivysaur, pull through this!" Gold shouted. Ivysaur didn't do anything for a moment, but then Gold suddenly felt a rush go through his body as he heard his pokemon make out a heroic cry. The next thing Gold knew, a blast of blue powder hit Vileplume and made it slam down on the ground. Vileplume was completely out and asleep from the sleep powder.

Ivysaur then slammed hard into Vileplume, using a powerful tackle attack. Vileplume slammed hard against the wall and slid down, what felt like to Gold forever. It finally plomped on the ground, completely out with Ivysaur standing tall.

"Ivysaur, you did it!" Gold shouted. He ran over and hugged his plant pokemon. Erika walked over to Gold and held out something important to him.

"Here you go. The Rainbow Badge and the tm," Erika said. She held out the things to Gold and he took them proudly. He stood up to get ready to go and leave Celadon City for good. He turned around to leave before Erika stopped him.

"Wait! I need to tell you something!" Erika shouted desperately.

Gold stopped and grinned. Was this possibly happening to him? He grinned from ear to ear and turned around to face Erika again. "Yes?" he asked.

"The trainer that battled before…he said that he had a brother that looked exactly like you. You have to be Silver's brother. Could you possibly give me his number? I think he is sooo cute."

Gold gasped and collapsed on the ground.

Chapter 13: The weird Confrontation

The sun was shining brightly and burning too. Max was walking along Route 6 exhausted to the point of falling to the ground and going to sleep.

"Hey wartortle think you could spray me with some water?" Max asked.

He left his mouth wide open so that he could get a drink of water.

"Tortle." Wartortle said.

He sprayed Max with water and it felt like heaven. The clouds moved over the suns rays blocking it from existence.

"Thank you." Max said noticing this.

A breexe swept by with the ocean smell on the horizon. Max got back up to keep on going when something threw something at the back of Max's head.

"Ow!" Max said "Who did that?"

"Fetch." said something.

Then a duck waddled out of some really tall grass. Max swiped his pokedex out and checked it out.

"image removed"
Farfetch'd, the wild duck pokemon. The sprig of green onions it holds is its weapon. It is used much like a metal sword. In order to prevent their extiction, more people have made an effort to breed these pokemon.

Max smirked knowing it wanted to battle.

"Ok then. Go, Kadabra!" Max said throwing a pokeball in the air.

A white light flashed and then a tan and brown phycic pokemon appeared.

"Kadab." Kadabra said.

The Farfetch'd entered a battle stance ready to fight. Then it's hand turned purple, but Max didn't know what it was so he didn't order an attack for Kadabra. Then Farfetch'd hit Kadabra in the stomach, trying to give her the poisen status. Max wasn't going to fall for that again. kadabra got up and got ready for an attack.

"Kadabra Disable." Max said.

Kadabra used an attack that made Farfetch'd's Poison Jab unusable.

"Now Confusion." Max said.

Kadabra put her arms straight out infront of her while a purple outlining was around Farfetch'd. She took him up into the air and then slammed him to the ground. A bunch of dust went flying and Max couldn't see. The next thing he saw was Kadabra flying out of the dust, and when the dust cleared Farfetch'd was in the position of hitting her with Ariel Ace.

"Kadabra use Psybeam." Max said.

Kadabra still in mid flight charged up a beam of purple light and then shot it at Farfetch'd causing herself to fly a little bit higher. Farfetch'd was hit flying to the ground and not getting up. Kadabra landed hard, but got right back up.

"Now, Go pokeball!" Max said throwing a pokeball at Farfetch'd.

It hit Farfetch'd and a red light engulfed him but disappeared and the pokeball was sent flying right back at Max.

"But, if that didn't work then that must mean your someone else's." Max said looking confused.

"Hey! What are you doing to my Farfetch'd?" An angry kid said walking up to Farfetch'd.

"Sorry I thought that it was a wild one. Hehehehe." Max said rubbing the back of his head.

As if to respond from that statement for its trainer Farfetch'd got up and kicked Max in the wrong spot.

"Ouch." Max said falling to his knees.

The trainer shrugged his shoulders and left. Kadabra helped Max up and then they walked along the route's path this time. He soon came to a sign that said "Vermilion City. The home of the sailors!"

Max smiled feeling like a milion bucks because he was so close to getting his third badge.

"Lucky lucky me for having the greatest pokemon in the world." Max said hugging Kadabra and Wartortle between his arms.

Then he continued walking into town with a big grin from ear to ear on his face.

((OOC:Woops...sorry I couldn't find the route 7 chapter. Anyway here it is)):

Chapter 20: A new rival:

Max was walking from Celadon City. His head throbbing with pain and his stomach twisted in pain.

"I knew I shouldn't have eaten that raw steak." max said holding his stomach.

"Growl." Growlithe said.

"Pikachu." Pikachu said.

"Bat." Golbat said.

"Kadab." Kadabra said.

"Tortle." Wartortle said.

Max groaned again. Pikachu was sitting on his shoulder, Golbat perched on Max's head for the time being, Growlither walking right next to him, Wartortle walking on the other side of him, and Kadabra walking on the same side as Growlithe.

Max then fell to his knees. He was coughing badly now. He groaned again and the next thing he saw was his barf.

"Ugh." Max said standing up.

Wartortle washed it away into the nearest sewer where it wasn't seen again. He groaned again and looked in his bag for some medicine. He found some medicine Kevin gave him before he left and took a dose of it. He didn't feel much better but didn't feel like throwing up a few minutes later.

He decided the best thing to do would to be to take a nap. He found a grassy area and fell asleep. He woke up two hours after that and felt great. He quickly sat up and noticed Pikachu, Growlithe, Golbat, Kadabra, and Wartortle were playing with a pokemon that he had never seen before.

The pokemon was tan, it had long legs that looked like they were made of rings, and from the looks of it they were very powerful. Max took his pokedex out owndering what it was.
[PokeCommunity.com] The Pokemon Adventure: Kanto Region

Hitmonlee, the Kicking Pokemon. when in a hurry, its legs lengthen progressively. It runs smoothly with extra long, loping strides. Using these spring lie legs, it bowls over foes with devastating kicks. After battle, it rubs down its legs and loosens the muscels to overcome fatigue.

Max looked around again to see another trainer watching his pokemon play with the Hitmonlee.

"Oh you're awake. Good, I was wondering if you would be ok." He said.

He was dressed in green shorts, a blue shirt, blue hat, blue eyes, brown shoes, a locket, and green fingerless gloves.

"Hello. My name is Timothy!" timothy said standing up.

"Hi. My name is Max." Max said stadning up as well.

"Well its a pleasure to meet ya Max. Say, I haven't battled in along time. Do you want to have a little battle?" Timothy asked.

"Sure man. How does 3 on 3 sound?" Max asked.

"Sounds perfect." Timothy said.

They found a nice little open field to have their battle on and grabbed their pokeballs.

"Go, Quilava!" Timothy said throwing his pokeball.

A white light flashed and a blue and tanish pokemon popped out. Max took his pokedex out wondering what it was.
[PokeCommunity.com] The Pokemon Adventure: Kanto Region

Quilava, the volcano pokemon. Quilava keeps its foes at bay with the intensity of its flames and the gusts of superheated air. This Pokemon applies outstanding nimbleness to dodge attacks even while scorching the foe with flames.

"Ok then. Go, Pikachu!" Max said throwing his pokeball out.

A white light flashed and the yellow mouse appeared.

"Ok. Quilava use Flame Wheel!" Timothy said.

"Pikachu quick Double Team!" max said.

Quilava engulfed itself in a wheel of flame and then rolled to Pikachu. Pikachu doubled itself making a whole bunch of Pikachus but only one was real one. Pikachu started chasing after the hologram infront of it causing Quilava to hit a fake one.

"Pikachu use Slam now!" Max said.

The holograms diappeared and Pikachu hit Quilava to the ground.

"Quilava use Swift to get Pikachu off of you." Timothy said.

Quilava then sent stars flying from its mouth sending Pikachu flying in the air.

"Now Quilava use Ember!" Timothy said.

"Pikachu use Thunderbolt!" Max said.

Quilava sent embers flying towards Pikachu, and Pikachu sent volts of electricity flying at Quilava. The two attacks hit eachother and then a flurry of fire and electricity was sent everywhere.

"Pikachu dive at Quilava and use Slam!" Max said.

"Quilava dodge!" Timothy said.

Pikachu dove down at Quilava, and Quilava stood there. Then right before Pikachu hit Quilava, Quilava moved and Pikachu slammed into the ground. Pikachu got up with difficulty. Max wanted to keep Pikachu for later on in the battle.

"Pikachu return!" Max said "Go Golbat!"

A white light flashed and the bat pokemon came fluttering out.

"Golbat Confuse Ray!" Max said.

"Quilava dodge it!" Timothy said, but it was to late.

Golbat sent a circle flying at Quilava, and when Quilava's gaze caught onto the ball it circled Quilava furiously, causing Quilava to become dizzy and confused.

"Now Golbat, use Air Cutter!" Max said.

Golbat dived at the confused pokemon and slashed it with her wing causing Quilava to fall tot he ground KOed. Timothy smiled.

"This is getting very interesting. Now return Quilava." Timothy said "Go, Umbreon!"

a dark cat looking pokemon appeared from the white flash. Max swiped his pokedex out to see what it was.
[PokeCommunity.com] The Pokemon Adventure: Kanto Region

Umbreon, the Moonlight Pokemon. Umbreon evolved as a result of exposure to the moon's waves. It hides silently in the dark waiting for its foes to make a move. The rings on its body glow when it leaps to attack. When agitated this Pokemon sprays poisonous sweat from its pores.

"Umbreon Faint Attack!" Timothy said.

"Golbat Confuse Ray!" Max said.

The umbreon disappeared making Confue Ray miss and then Golbat was hit and sent flying into the ground.

"Now Quick Attack!" Timothy said.

The Umbreon came up quick as a rabbit and hit Golbat's right wing hard, enabling Golbat to fly away.

"Golbat use Bite!" Max said.

Golbat turned around and bit Umbreon's right paw.

"Now Confuse Ray!" The two trainers said simutaneusly.

Two balls of bright light were sent flying at eachother and then they circled the two pokemoncausing them to both be confused.

"Umbreon try to use Faint Attack!" Timothy said.

"Try Wing Attack Golbat!" Max said.

Golbat tried to hit Umbreon with its wing but terribly missed and hit its own face. Then Umbreon disappered and hit Golbat causing Golbat to faint.

"Return. Now come back out Pikachu!" Max said.

"Umbreon Confuse Ray!" Timothy said.

"Thunderbolt Pikachu!" Max said.

Umbreon was to ocnfused to send a Confuse Ray out at Pikachu and then was hit with Pikachu's electricity.

"Umbreon Quick Attack." Timothy said.

"Pikachu Slam." Max said.

The two pokemon ran at eachother and hit eachother with full pwer causing both of them to be KOed.

"Return." The two trainers said at the same time.

"Go, Growlithe!" Max said.

"Go, Pidgeotto!" Timothy said.

The dog pokemon he had ever since he was a little kid came from a white flash and so did Timothy's bird pokemon.

"Growlithe use Fire Fang!" Said Max.

"Pidgeotto dive usin quick attack!" Timothy said.

Growlithe's teeth caught on fire and he dashed at Pidgeotto who was flying at him. He jumped and dodged Pidgeotto's attack and bit he right wing enabling her to fly away.

"Now Flame Wheel!" Max said.

Growlithe engulfed himself in a wheel of fire and dashed at Pidgeotto.She didn't move and was hit with a flurry of fire. Pidgeotto flew and hit a tree.

"Growlithe lets finish this. Use Take Down!" Max said.

"Pidgeotto full powered Twister!" Timothy said.

Growlithe hit Pidgeotto with Take Down but was sent flying into a tree bya super powered Twister. The two had a hard time getting up. Finally Growlithe got up, but Pidgeotto didn't. Max won the battle.

"Yes! Way to go Growlithe!" Max said running over and huging the dog pokemon.

"Hey Max. Good battle. I gotta go so i guess I'll see ya around." Timothy said.

"You too man." Max said.

The two trainers went their seperate ways and Max knew that he had finally found his number one rival, Timothy. Max stopped next to a big tree. He noticed that it was getting dark out and decided to catch the night sleeping in thw wilderness. He sent his pokemon out. Pikachu slept near Max's head, Growlithe near Max's right arm, Golbat covering Max's feet, Kadabra sleeping next to Max's left side, and Wartortle near the left side of Max's face. Max's adventure so far was the best he ever had.

To Pikalover10: ok there a two things wrong with this post. 1) This is the frekin Kanto Region! Im so tired of telling people that! Johto Pokemon have not yet been discovered so theres no way a kid would be walking around with a Quilava and an Umbreon. Yes some of the role-players here have Johto Pokemon but those were earned under special circumstances and i approved of it. 2) This is one is more of me being nitpicky but can you PLEASE cut back on the cheesiness? I don't grade down on cheesiness thats just how some people write. HOWEVER iv seen you write good posts without them being cheesy! But again do what you want.

Chapter 20: A tough evening.

Max sighed with relief as the sun started setting making it cooler outside. He could hear Growlithe howls on the wind, but it didn't frighten him like it would to other people because he had a Growlithe on his team. Max looked over at Growlithe who looked very bored. Max smirked. He remembered the day he had gotten Growlithe to live with him, when he remembered the day he lost his brother.

He clenched his fists trying not to shed any tears. Every time he had seen Team Rocket he had always eventually asked them the same question...

"Where is my brother?"

The answer was the same.

"Once you meet our boss there you'll find him Max."

This always frightened Max because he wanted to know how they knew his name and who he was talking about. Max then shook his head vigorosly as if it woud get rid of the thoughts in his mind.

"Bat." Golbat said freking out in the air.

"What is it Golbat?" Max asked looking up at the bat.

She was pretty high in the air and Max couln't tell what she was trying to tell him. Max ignored it and kept on walking. If he had been trying to desifer what Golbat had been saying he would know that Celadon City was right in front of them, but he took a right turn when he wasn't supposed to. Max ignored Golbat freaking out even more and continued walking the way he had turned.

Golbat got very aggitated and took Max's hat off of his head.

"Hey! Golbat give me my hat back!" Max said.

He was jumping high enough to force Golbat to throw the hat at Growlithe, who caught it and then ran foreward.

"Growlithe!" Max scolded chasing after him.

Growlithe stopped frantically gasping for air in front of a large lake. Max came stumbling up to Growlithe then falling to the ground gasping for air. Growlithe dropped the hat near the lake and Max stood up and walked over to it. Golbat, aiming to grab the hat, dived in and accidentally missed and knocked the hat into the lake. Max stopped and stood still like a statue.

"Golbat! That is it. Return!" Max said calling the pokemon back to its pokeball.

The hat sank deeper and deeper with every passing second. Max took his backpack off, his remaining pokeballs on his belt, and then dove into the lake. He saw his hat reach the bottom. His eyes were open without goggels, and his eyes felt like they were on fire. He started loosing breath right as he was about to grab his hat, and started swiming up. Something then grabbed his foot and kept him from doing so. Max kicked and struggled to get out but as much as he struggled it just got caught up more.

Max's pokemon above the lake were wondering what was going on. They all looked at Wartortle who nodded and jumped intot he lake. He swam deep until he saw Max, unconcious. Wartortle grabbed Max's arm and yanked him away from what held his leg. It was a poacher's discarded net! Wartortle swam Max to the others and pushed him onto land. Then he dove under and grabbed Max's hat and wondered about whether to grab the net or not. He decided not and sam to shore.

He set the hat aside and stared at Max hopefully. A few minutes later and Max slowly started opening his eyes. He fully opened them and coughed up water. He shook his head and focused his gaze on his pokemon.

"Never. Ever. Do that again guys." Max scolded.

He looked over at Wartortle who was the only one wet and figured that Wartortle was the one who saved him.

"Thanks Wartortle." Max said standing up "Aww man. I'm soaking wet. I can't travel like this."

Max dug through his bag and found a dry change of clothes. He quickly put them on and then stood up. His clothes were the same kind just drier then the other pair. He stuffed his wet clothes in his bag and then put his hat on. He put his pokeballs back on his belt and then saw a tree he wanted to climb. He stepped on the first branch and then slowly climbed it. He almost slipped from a height that would have hurt if he had fallen. He made it to the top and then looked around.

"Oh. That's why Golbat was freaking out huh?" Max said laughing sarcastically.

He spotted Celadon City and rlized that he had almost been there before. He climbed down slipping off of a branch and landing on the ground. He stood up and then called his pokemon over to him. He did a quick count of them and noticed that Golbat was missing.

"Hey. Where's Golbat?" Max asked looking left and right.

"Growl." Growlithe said pointing to a pokeball.

"Oh. Yeah. I guess blanking out made me foreget that part." Max said scratching the bac of his head.

He continued down the way he had come and eventually came to the spot he turned at. He turnd and came out of the woods and found the enterance to Celdaon City.

"Celadon City. The biggest City in Kanto. Where most of the people here are wealthy people. Also, it's home to my fourth badge!" Max said excited to his pokemon.

He sat down and decided to sleep on the route for the night exhausted. He slept on a tree branch after calling his pokemon to their pokeballs first. He had trouble sleeping thinking of getting his fourth badge and thinking about his brother Josh.

Chapter 21: A tough battle:

Max sighed with relief.

"Finally...Celadon City." max said.

He walked into the very large city. He looked around trying to find the Pokemon Center. He turned left, then right, and then right again.

"Where am I?" Max asked confused.

Max looked around for a sign and soon found one.

Celadon Gym->
Celadon Department Store <-
Pokemon Center -> and then <-

Max read the sign and then dashed off. He came to the building and walked inside. He fell down onto the bench with a huff. He didn't see Nurse Joy anywhere. There was a huge line and Max sat on the bench waiting. He heard people complaining about how Nurse Joy wasn't there and he got fed up with it.

"Be quiet!" Max shouted.

The people looked at him and suddenly got quiet.

"Thank the Lord." Max said getting in line.

Nurse Joy walked in and got behind the front counter. She tended to all the patients needs and then finally after what seemed like hours ut was his turn.

"Could you heal my pokemon please? Oh yes and could I get a room for the night?" Max asked politely.

Nurse Joy nodded, handed him a room key, and took his pokeballs from him. He went back to the bench and stuffed the key in his bag. He sat there for a while thinking about how to win his next badge. He heard that the gym leader specialized in Grass type Pokemon and he had Golbat and Growlithe, but what other pokemon should he use? Nurse Joy walked back out with his pokemon and handed them to him.

"Thanks." He said puting the pokeballs on his belt and then leaving.

He walked around town kicking dust and dirt up and then decided the pokemon he wanted to use.

"Excuse me sir." said a little girl "I need to find the pokemon center and I don't know where it is."

"You take a left at that corner, then a right at the next corner and you keep going down for two blocks, and then turn left and it's straight in front of you." Max said giving her directions.

"Thank you kind sir." She said skipping off.

Max looked foreward and noticed a sign that said Celadon Gym just 1 block ahead. He dashed down and found a tall building with flowers outside of it. He walked up to the door and was about to knock when it opened.

"Are you here to challenge Gym Leader Erika?" A man said.

"Yes." Max said confident.

The man opened the door maor and let Max in. The room smelled of a meadow of flowers. Max smiled with delight and then looked at a girl who looked to be about 20, 21 years old. She wore a kimono that was red and yellow and had blueish hair.

"Welcome challenger. I am Erika. Do you wish to battle me trainer?" She asked.

"Yes. My name is Maximilion from Pallet Town and I wish to have a battle." Max said.

"Ok then. Right this way Max." Erika said leading him into another room.

The room was huge and had grass all over the battle field. Max took his position on it while erika took hers. The referee stood on his platform with two flags.

"It will be a three on three battle Max." Erika said grabbing one of her pokeballs.

"Ok." Max said grabbing one of his.

"Go, Tangela!" Erika said.

"Go, Kadabra!" Max said.

A pokemon with blue ropes hanging from him popped out. Max swiped his pokedex out not knowing what it was.

[PokeCommunity.com] The Pokemon Adventure: Kanto Region

Tangela, the vine pokemon. The body is swathed with vines that are similiar to seaweed. It's vines shake as it walks. Tangela's vines snap off easily if they are grabbed. This happens without pain letting it make a quick get away. The vines are replaced with new ones the very next day.

"Round 1: Tangela vs. Kadabra...Begin!!" The ref said.

"Tangela use Slam quick!" Erika said.

"Kadabra use Psybeam!" Max said.

The vine pokemon ran at Kadabra, but Kadabra shot a beam of purple light at the pokemon causing it to fly back a few feet. It got up quickly and shook off some dirt.

"Tang!" It said.

"Tangela use Ancient Power!" Erika said.

"Use Reflect!" Max said.

The Tangela summoned rocks at its command and shot them at Kadabra, but Kadabra brought up a shield of light and sent the rocks flying back at the Tangela. However, the Tangela dodged them unharmed.

"Use Giga Drain!" Erika said.

"Dodge and use Psybeam!" Max said.

The Tangela shot out a green beam and Kadabra moved not being hit by it, but it shot back towards Tangela and hit Kadabra causing Kadabra to lose health and Tangela recieve it, even though it wasn't that effective.

"Kadabra use Psybeam full power!" Max said.

Kadabra charged up his purple light and beamed it at Tangela. Tangela was hit and was sent flying into the wall. It landed on the ground severely hurt.

Tangela use Ancientpower!" Erika said.

Tangela shot the rocks at Kadabra and Kadabra was pinned to the ground with no way of escape.

"Kadabra, return!" Max said.

The red light shot out calling the pokemon to its pokeball.

"Go, Golbat!" Max said.

The bat appeared out of the blinding white light.

"Golbat use Confuse Ray!" Max said.

The bat sent the yellow ball at Tangela and then it spun rapidly around Tangela causing it to become confused.

"Tangela use Knock Off!" Erika desperately said.

"Use Air Cutter Golbat!" Max said.

Tangela didn't move a muscle due to being confused, and Golbat sliced the air hard sending a blast at Tangela, who was sent flying into the wall and landed knocked out.

"Tangela is unable to battle, Golbat is the winner." The ref said.

(ooc: I'll try not to fight someone in the first part, but it's going to be hard, especially because the bikers, and a new person who will be Chris's ultimate enemy thus far. This will be without a doubt, the longest event I've ever written consisting of four parts... this and the actual chapters.)

Chapter 45: The Fight on Bikers Road (Part 0)

"Heh, how is the subject doing?" Asked a man in the shadows, two scientists looked at him before saying.

"We have monitered the experiment's progress, and she has been doing quite well. We werer almost found out when Derek interfered with the girl's development." The man with the crown nodded.

"Excellent, continue monitering her progress and report to me when our agents get there." Said the man as he adjusted his crown. "We cannot lose that girl, or all of our fundings from our donor will be snuffed." 'And I'll lose my spot...'

"Yes sir... Sandy Alcor will not get away from us this time." Said the female scientist as she slapped the blueprints of a mechanical arm (and nothing else, just an arm) were revealed.

(Chris)

Chris sighed as he petaled his bike even harder to try and get past the Bicycle Road as fast as he could. "I... hate... bicycling..." Gasped Chris as he got tired so quickly... in fact, he isn't too far from the entrance. "If...only someone... were here... to talk to." And after that, he accidentally got off of the sidewalk, and the shock sent him flying. (That actually happened to me)

"You okay?" Asked a familiar voice. Chris looked up and saw the face of the very same Sandy Alcor he met during the last time he fought Derek.

"Waah!" Yelled Chris in surprise as he jumped back. "Oh, it's you... wait, why are you here?"

"Well, I finally beat Erika and I'm on my way to Fuschia City." Said Sandy as she sent out her pokemon which consisted of a Level 45 Nidoking, a Level 42 Vaporeon, a Level 39 Beedrill, a Level 44 Nidoking, and a Level 35 Porygon.

"You have a Porygon?" Asked Chris. "I had a bad experience with one not too long ago." Chris sighed as he picked up his bike. "I'm sorry, but I have to go." But before Chris could peddle off, Sandy grabbed his shoulder with her left arm, causing Chris to fall once again.

"I have to warn you... there are some bad bikers near here, attacking trainers as they pass through." Said Sandy before easily riding off... yes, Chris is not good with a bike at all, which is why he never bought one, any other time he rode a bike and was good is because he was filled up with adrenaline and possibly fear.

"Sigh, even Sandy is better than me." Said Chris as he struggled to ride off, but as he was struggling, he missed two very suspicious people, watching the events.

"Yes, that arm of hers works well, but we will continue observations on her." Said the man in black.

"Who would've thought we would be the first to help build mechanical parts." Said the man in white as they summoned a Pidgeotto. The man in black had a Noctowl.

"Let's go... we can't fail master and our beneficiary any longer." Said the man in black as Pidgeotto took off, the man in white following.

(Bikers)

"Heh, thirty million pokedollars for a talking Eevee, that was the easiest money we've ever made." Said Bob as he put the suitcase in his bag. "Let's ride around for a while to celebrate!"

"Whoo!" Yelled the bikers as they rode off towards Fuschia City, but with motors powering their bikes, they'll be back quickly...

(This is meant to set up the actual event, so that's why I didn't name it Part 1.)
