Ash duels a nidorino with his squirtle in the indigo pokemon league. I love how the ROM back Ash Gray included this and all the early round trainers Ash encountered like the lady with the Bellsprout.

i really love all the one off special Pokemon they did for the Orange Islands. i don't remember pink Nidoking sadly...

It's a fun episode I think. There's an island of special pokemon that is forbidden for people to trespass on and capture mons on. It's a wildlife perserve, and all the Pokemon that live on it have been dyed pink because of the unusual fruit they eat growing on the isle. It reminds me of how flamingos start of white and grey, innocuous colors, but change colors into pinks, reds, oranges from feasting on shrimp and algea.

i've yet to train any of the Nidos at all, since i never find myself needing a Poison type thanks to Crobat.

Nidoking and Nidoqueen get Sheer Force as a hidden ability. With it, they can hold a Life Orb without taking damage from it.
