In my opinion, it would've been better if they just used Silcoon, and made it evolve into either Beautifly or Dustox based on gender.

Cute lilypad pokemon and can be a great early route investment, especially if you started with Torchic and need a water or grass addition to your team, it's evolution Ludicolo is an awesome pokemon.
