Used one in Pokémon Xenoverse as well; it can be caught as a Zubat after you're stranded in Darkhole Island. He saved my skin quite a few times, and in fact it's thanks to him that I didn't struggle against the infamously difficult second Gym Leader at all.

A good chunk of evil team leaders use a Crobat.

Before the confusion nerf in Gen 7, fighting their Crobats can be a challenge, as they tend to use Confuse Ray to confuse your Pokémon and sometimes land nasty flinches with repeated Bites.

The Electric-type to handle many swimmers that aren't using Quagsire or opposing Lanturns, and the Water-type to Surf and cascade your way up Waterfalls.
