Scraggy's pants act as extra skin allowing it to be a rather tank mon later on. I can even shed its skin as an ability.

It can go on the offensive with Moxie, or take a more defensive approach with Shed Skin or Intimidate.

Being dark/fighting with 115 defenses and 65 base HP is pretty good. Scrafty has an immunity and 3 resistances. Granted it does have to deal with x4 fairy damage along with a weakness to flying and fighting, but that's worth it in my book.

Scrafty can't learn Gunk Shot, which would've been a good move for it.

But Scrafty can learn a plethora of other moves. Dragon Dance, elemental punches, crunch, high jump kick, zen headbutt, super fang, knock off (with STAB), foul play, and iron head.

Foul Play uses the opponent's attack stat instead of the user's, making it useful on defensive movesets.
