It's... fine? I recall having a female one in my X team, but I cannot recall if it was ever good. I think the design looks uninspired, but it's another fire type that can be found early in the game.

The saddest reality is that Luxray would have appreciated having the stats of this line. Looking more closely at Litleo, it does face competition from Fletching. Would you have a fire flying Mon or a fire normal mon? Most would want flying due to knocking out a fly user early on.

A Fire/Normal type with stats in the wrong place, or a Fire/Flying type with good all-around stats? I'd pick the latter.

What's more insulting is Litleo's hidden ability being moxie. That doesn't mesh with its stat distribution.

I'm too late to save it likely, but sad we are discarding a lion cub, I support Litleo. Poor vivillon too, it's beautiful, wish it could have stayed. Such is life.

Quite mediocre. Being part normal means ghost immunity, but also fighting weakness in a gen that gave us faster Fighting types and megas. The design looks like something out of gen 2 though.

Only other downside I can think of is discount Entei. After this I'll start up voting it.

I did have one in my main party, and high sp. Atk for flamethrower is always appreciated.

I don't see Pyroar as a discount Entei. Entei is a physical attacker, and Pyroar is a special attacker, even though it shouldn't have been.

It interests me how Pyroar hunt. The females are apparently the ones that do the hunting as the males are known to be lazy.

Even if the males are deemed lazy, they will throw themselves into danger if it means protecting their fellow Pyroars. The Pokedex states they have no regard of their own safety. Feels like a shonen protagonist trait.
