I think one of the reasons why Tepig was beloved was because of how cute it was. Tepig breathes fire from its nose and Y's pokedex entry states when it gets too excited it might burn berries to a crisp before eating them.

I'm not really too familiar with it to be honest, as I never selected it as my Starter or even seen it that much after Gen 5, but I'll still vote it up to go with the flow.

I think Tepig might just be the cutest of first forms of the Unova starters. They all have some charm, but this one looks so happy to see you. I am still Team Snivy for Serperior, but that doesn't mean I can't vote this little fella up too. Baby pigs in general are endearing in real life.

Tepig's design is based on a chinese style of a pig along with its line. You can think of Tepig, Snivy, and Oshawott all being inspired by Journey to the West.

Emboar's defenses are a little lacking at base 65/65 and its speed is at base 65. However, phys atk. is at base 123. Flare blitz + reckless all the way.
