Nihilego has some interesting stats, although it loses in 1 hit to many typings. Also Metroid is more fitting imo.

I remember the build up to Sun/Moon releasing there were theories that Lillie was Nihilego and that got me interested in this pokemon/ultra beast. I wished the theories were true because Nihilego doesn't have much going for it to make it interesting. It's unique sure, and the typing is benefited by the stats, but I don't feel a strong connection with this pokemon/ultra beast. It's just there for me.

That's it and even then it wasn't Nihilego that made the fight interesting. It was the fact that Lusamine fused with a pokemon. It could've been a weedle and I still would have found that amusing.

I wish Nihilego had a better design than just a squid hat. I feel that the designs of the ultra beasts are hit or miss, and this one is a miss because it could have been interesting. Alas, it did not go in the route many suspected and instead leaves the question "why does Nihilego resemble Lillie then? What was the point?"
Also I'll give Sun/Moon credit with its boss battles. Felt like I was playing SMT and it felt damn good even if tough.
