I can see that, but Wattrel would need a special attacking equivalent to guts. Instead it has a very useful ability in wind power. Gives a free charge when hit by a wind move or if tailwind is active.

Kilowattrel might be the only other electric flying mon outside of Kanto Zapdos. Rather odd when thinking about it. Nonetheless I do see why. In rain teams Kilowattrel would be amazing. Especially with that base 125 speed and 105 sp. atk.

It seems I forgot about Thunderous, Emolga, Rotom-Fan, and even Oricorio. A pokemon that I had mentioned previously...

Wind power is such a great ability for Kilowattrel because that means it can switch into heat wave and icy wind. Not only that but it can switch into some of the legendary pokemon signature moves and gain a free charge.
