Appearance: Dallas is 5'08" and still growing as he gets older. He had dark brown hair and has an average build for his age. His skin isn't too dark, but also isn't too light.

Personality: He loves cooking for both people and pokemon. So much so that when meeting new pokemon, he will sometimes observe the pokemon to see what they like to eat and form recipes for his own pokemon. When he meets new people from other regions, he tends to ask a lot of questions about the food in their region.

Dallas is always striving to become the best. He is extremely confident, sometimes over confident in everything he does, but especially cooking. And even though he considers what people says, he will usually push it aside, causing him to miss important things. He tends to ignore most of what they tell him as he would prefer to find new and creative ways to do cook and combined certain things.

He enjoys making friends and talking to others. Even when people are rude or negative toward him, he still keeps smiling. He continues to try to get along with people, including those who clearly don't want to be friends, but that is how he grew up.

He enjoys a good challenge as he has always been challenge by his father. Even though he wants to be like his father and follow in his foot steps, his dream is to surpass his father.


History: Dallas was born and raised near Snowbelle City in the Kalos Region. Because of that, he has always been fond of forests and Ice Type Pokemon. He lived with his mother who owned a small bakery in the city that got a good amount of business. He grew up helping her whenever he could, especially around the holidays when baking would be at a much higher demand.

Dallas looked up to his mother, but also his father who was a world traveler who would go to different regions and cook and study different foods, as well as challenge gyms and other events. Like his father, Dallas can be very competitive. Every now and then, him and dad would have a small food war to see who's food was best. Dallas himself had never won against his father even with the judges being a close friend and his mother. Never being ever to win against his dad has made Dallas strive to become the best and surpass his father.

One night, a few nights before Christmas, he snuck out of the house in the cold snowy night to find ingredients for a cookie recipe that he have created himself to surprised his parents. Until that night, he didn't really want a pokemon. He just wanted to become a world class chef. When he was searching, he found a pokemon buried in the snow. He quickly dug the pokemon out and it surprised him that it was a Vulpix with white fur. He picked up and ran back to his house. He woke up his parents who quickly realized he found a pokemon that had been injured. His father quickly used a form of medical pokemon cuisine to tend to the pokemon. This made Dallas want to learn to become a pokemon breeder and learn how to take care of them as well as cooking for humans and pokemon.

The day after, he found out that the pokemon had been abandoned by a trained from the Alola Region who no longer wanted to take care of the pokemon. Knowing that an Alolan Vulpix couldn't survive in Kalos, due to the lack of wild Vulpix and Ninetails, Dallas was allowed to keep the Vulpix. On that same Christmas, Dallas also received a normal Vulpix from his father to aid with cooking. With the two Vulpix together, this gave birth to Dallas dream of becoming a Fire and Ice cuisine master.

When he was 12, Dallas' father was getting ready to travel once again. Before he left, he suggested that Dallas go to the Pokemon Trainer Academy to learn about new people, pokemon and places. Knowing that it would greatly help his dream of surpassing his father and becoming a Fire and Ice cuisine master, he agreed. It was the best way to learn about other regions without actually traveling which would only aid him when he finally started to travel like his father.

Personality: Eric is what some would call a "noble savage", due to him being one with nature, and having a heart of gold. He absolutely despises those who use Pokémon for nefarious purposes. A devout follower of Arceus, Eric has a strong sense of justice. Just don't get him angry, he is prone to holding lifelong grudges. He also suffers from depression, triggered mostly by anything that reminds him of a tragic event that happened within the last two years. Living in the wilderness with Pokémon for most of his life has given him survival skills that can make what would normally be a worst-case scenario much easier. Eric is passionate about the causes he believes in, and is willing to die protecting his allies, if need be. He isn't a perfect battler, but the bond he shares with his Pokémon is rivalled by none. His most noteworthy skill, however, is the ability to communicate with Pokémon.

History: Eric never knew his biological parents. Instead, he was adopted and raised by a pride of Pyroar alongside their Litleo offspring from a very young age. It was not without danger, however. Even with the Swords of Justice protecting the island Eric's adoptive pride lived on, he was never 100% safe. Being an outcast really didn't help his case, either, as a misanthropic Krookodile wanted young Eric dead.

Years passed, and Eric fended this Krookodile off for good, using his human wit and an impeccably-timed Gogoat stampede, with a little help from his pride. It was shortly after when he was discovered by research team funded by the former Nacrene City Gym Leader Lenora. Eric caught the eye of her niece, Peggy Owen, a Pokémon Ranger in-training who insisted on bringing him back to the Unova region. Eric was about ten at this time.

Eric left his pride, but not without an egg that would hatch into a Litleo as soon as Eric was acclimated to civilized life. It was difficult to adapt from more open spaces into urban life. It took about a year from him to learn human speak, for example. Lenora eventually became a motherly figure for Eric. Eric and Peggy were madly in love, dating officially for several months.

However, tragedy struck when Peggy was on a recon mission to Kanto, and she was killed by a group known as Team Rocket. Peggy died in Eric's arms, and is buried in Lavender Town. Eric swore from that day on, he wanted nobody else to share a similar fate to his beloved Peggy, vowing to become a mighty Pokémon Trainer and avenge her death.

This was when he found Shuppet, his second Pokémon, which seemed to follow him due to it being attracted to thoughts of vengeful people. Eric caught the Shuppet shortly after. Eric carries a locket with the last photo taken of Peggy when she was alive.

Eric sought the help of the Academy to give him the strength he needs to bring Team Rocket to justice. He has been in the Entei House for about two months now.

Appearance:

Javier is a somewhat fit fellow in his feet years, standing at a little over six feet. His hair color is a clean shade of black, while his eyes appear to have a darkened shade of green. This typically matches up with his somewhat fair skin, complete with a natural tan. Javi has a youthful face on him that's common among those of his age, which can often make intimidating others a little difficult. Hints of muscle tone can be found throughout his body, but nothing along the lines of a star athlete.

Javier's usual attire tends to consist of whatever feels comfortable; t-shirts, jeans, hoodies, boots and other attire. One notable thing is that he often wears black clothing, except for the times where he wears his academy jacket. He'll wear blue as a show of showing his academy pride at events, but otherwise, he tries to keep a variety. Javi also holds a collection of band-related shirts, holding a particular love for punk and metal. Javi does also have a variey of gloves, for quick and convenient use whenever she needs to train.

Personality:
Javier is a good-hearted and honest man, often speaking his mind when he feels the need to. He's kind to his fellow man, offering a hand despite often getting spat on in return. He often finds himself acting as a "big brother", more than willing to help out with teaching others about the ins and outs of the Pokemon world. Javi takes pride in being a trainer, enjoying all the challenges that battling with Pokemon brings. A lot of the time, this enormous sense of pride gets him in over his head, but Javi does his best to pull through. Make no mistake, however; when it comes to battle, Javi can be a fierce opponent who will use any and all opportunity to attack.

Javi is what one would consider an anti-nihilist, with all the good and bad that applies. He doesn't quite follow any higher power, nor does he hold any fantasy about the futility and fragility of life. Life itself holds no meaning, but people can try and make their own meaning in their own way. He is well aware of how ugly and unfortunate the world can be at times, but still believes that anyone can make something of themselves. Javier finds his purpose in simply enjoying life and all that it offers, the good and the bad. With that, it makes life worth tolerating for someone like him. Of course, on the surface, this can make him come off as if he's detached from life and its consequences.

Javier holds a particular attachment to Pokemon, having raised several a few throughout his life. He tends to lighten up pretty easily around them, especially if they're strays. Unnecessary violence and abuse can easily rile Javi up, being fiercely protective of the wildlife. This often leads to him putting himself in danger, but Javi cares very little. Javi is always up to show his worth to his friends, human and Pokemon alike, and is very loyal to the people he holds near and dear.

History:
Javier was born and raised in Kalos as the eldest child of three, the son of a pro trainer and his rival-turned-wife. His brother, Leonardo, didn't have the fire that Javi would have, but still proved to be a loyal friend. Mariana was the youngest of the three, shy and clumsy but always smiling. The three children looked up to their parents, filled with pride at all of their achievements. Naturally, this would lead to the siblings gaining an interest in Pokemon training, each one determined to be the best over the others Over the years, a rivalry would grow between Javier, Mariana and Leonardo, one that would come to shape their lives.

Javi's parents were dead set on enrolling their three in the best training school possible, having the money and reputation to fight for it. However, the children would first need to prove themselves that they have what it takes under their own tutoring, each of them being given a Hawlucha to raise. While Javi would come to flourish under the pressures of their parents, Leo and Mari struggled to keep up. Any attempt at helping them was met with concern, their parents worrying that Javier would drag himself down with them. The peer pressure and growing challenges would cause a rift between the siblings, their long-standing friendship strained to its very limits.

Javi had grit, skills and a future in Pokemon training ahead of him...but was it worth losing Leonardo and Mariana? This was a question that plagued Javi's mind, with no one else to turn to for advice. His own parents were certainly of no help, wanting the would-be trainer to focus only on the studies that lie ahead of him. Mariana seemed to the only one still willing to listen to him, while Leonardo started to close himself off. It felt like Javi was losing his grip on his family, and yet, he wouldn't realize how right he was until one fateful day.

Mariana had disappeared, with nothing else but a note left behind. Wanting to move out of her family's shadow and prove herself on her own merits, she had decided to run away from home and go on her own journey. The Corazon clan was devastated by the girl's vanishing, but none more so than Javi himself. The police and Javi's parents had little to go on in their search, and Leonardo buried himself in his books to escape the pain and loss. Feeling that there were no options left, Javier himself, with his Hawlucha by his side, began to go out in search of Mariana.

Javier searched all across the region of Kalos for his sister, determined to not give up on her. He would come across some Pokemon battles on his own, putting his skills to the test. The battles were always brutal, but Javi would scrape by with the few tips he learned from his parents. Days of looking for Mariana turned into months, and although he would return home for a time, it was never long until Javi went out to search again. He made sure that his folks wouldn't worry too much about him, sending messages to them along the way while ago making sure to train with his lone Pokemon.

Two years had gone by, but Javi was no closer to finding Mariana than anyone else. There had been plenty of false leads and false hopes, all of them taking a toll on the wandering trainer. He didn't even want to think about giving up, but at the same time, he was running out of places to look. He found himself returning home for seemingly the last time, only to find that his parents had an invitation waiting for him. They figured that spending time at a Pokemon academy to hone his skills would ease his mind while the authorities continued to look for his sister. They offered the same to Leonardo, not wanting either of their skills to go to waste.

Leonardo turned them down, but Javier came to reluctantly accept. He wanted to get stronger as a trainer, not only for the sake of his name and pride, but so that he'd be strong enough to bring his family back together. It'd be easy to simply resent his parents and everything they've done, but he'd like to believe that there's some hope for better days. As a parting gift to the boy, Javi's mother gifted him a Tyrunt that a friend gave to her, believing that the Pokemon's care was best suited in Javi's hands. He would come to search for Mariana again, but for now, Javi was content with honing his skills at the academy. The entrance exams came easy for him, his parents' teachings helping Javi along with the written and practical exams, landing him in the Suicune dorm.

Personality: Rey is a quiet one, set in his ways and not too easily open to strangers. He is very protective of Javi, seeing him as a brother-in-arms that he would happily risk his life for. He trust his trainer to guide him in battle, be it leading to victory or defeat.

Kylie thought she had long internalized the "you-can-do-anything" mentality, so the shock must have derived from the sheer weightlessness of the manner. Success, to her, had always come out of focused effort, the adagial sweat and tears. Besides, triumph was usually limited to plausibility. Everyone had a skill ceiling — they could raise it as they wished through hard work, but in the end, even a genius peaked. Nothing mortal could do everything, especially without even trying.

"They're bluffing."
She'd kept her acceptance letter, by proxy a review of her performance that evening at Slateport. Everything about the event stacked against her -- the fact she'd gone through with it was, in itself, an impromptu decision. Therefore, Kylie expected a lot of hasty maneuvers, an overall lack of form and composure on part of her Pokemon. Because of course she was going back through the footage herself. That review dished out more flattery than the latest Lumiose Models magazine (what with bralettes being vogue, she supposed) and if she read between the many, many, raving lines, Kylie suspected there was patronization sprinkled in as well. There was so many ways you could call strategy "individual," and referring to anything as "unique" on any occasion was, frankly, lazy critique. The video itself had been taped in order for it to reach the reviewing panel, and she must have counted under some law for a duplication to count as personal property based on her appearance within it. Otherwise, Kylie's threats to sue if unobliged may have seemed extreme. Nonetheless, she opened the .mov file on her device and flopped forward onto her bed.
Kylie flipped to a fresh page in the spiral-bound book she dedicated to her little hobby, scribbled a heading in gel — 5/12, Poke-Aca Entry Exam. "Damn, no, that's today's date," she said over the referee on camera, laying the ground rules for the match.
"Spoink-forbid I put a date down right in my lifetime—"
"—two-on-two, single, no items. The judge may terminate the match under any unarticulated conditions. Medical care will be provided to the challenger's—"
"—Did I just say 'Spoink-forbid?' That's so effing cheesy. That better not be a running gag, I swear."
But it was off to the races now. A sharp crunch as Probopass hit the field. The 240p birds'-eye obscured a lot of what made a creature named after its big nose intimidating, but Kylie remembered. Those beady eyes, and the sheer uncanniness of a massive head without a neck. But, apparently, the preliminaries of the exam came down to whether or not you threw it in at the sight of something bigger and odder than average. Kylie recalled the thud of her rising heartbeat, and became increasingly worried for the performance she was about to witness. But even a naive fighter knew she could topple a mountain if she concentrated. Why had she even doubted? The key was focusing on the highest point instead of allowing the very sight of a slate-gray behemoth to stun you. The best thing about a mountain, too, was that it was rarely subtle — it never even moved.
Junn knew this, entering from her seat on the bench immediately when beckoned, taking a low stance, her hands guarding her face, her expression wholly centered on the field; she exuded composure. It was what collected Kylie at the time. But Junn was not the Trainer, as invigorating as her drive for battle was, and Kylie needed to approach battles with the same absence of precariousness. The Kylie of-the-now scowled and took note.
A groan of effort from the red-hatted warder prompted Junn's calavance down the field, Kylie watching her knowingly as the ground about their target transformed into chunks of jagged stone. And as they rose, Junn fell into a moderate pace so that those that'd drifted near soared past aimlessly. Basic taisabaki. Basic premeditation. Kylie hummed in satisfaction. Yes, it was all about control — reflex — and then it came down to dedication: reeling up, your Trainer's soft approval ringing in hyper-attuned ears, then closing in on that jutting, red weak spot with a punch of deadly precision capable of downing any barrier.
You didn't have to go "Dodge!" and hope she got the point when there was nothing to dodge; it didn't matter whether that was a Rock Tomb or a Stone Edge or whatever else, because Probopass only groaned in agony and lost its focus, its projectiles raining down as debris. Premeditation, precision, dedication. That's how you started a match, and that's how you'd win it!
"Woooh, girl!" Post-Kylie was screaming. "Post" as in "post-written-exam," going from zero to kicking ass in under an hour— no, she'd used that full hour, and still didn't know whether you should send a Bug-type out against a Psychic-type. Going from zero to her element was almost maddening. She was jumping up and punching the air like a mad woman, anyway.
The lounging-in-her-dorm Kylie sniggered at the juxtaposition between her explosive fit and Junn looking bemused at Probopass' inaction after being hit.
"Why do you act like a better Trainer than me?" the girl asked her Meditite, the esper forming lotus position at the foot of her bed. Realistically, Junn would be too engrossed to respond, so Kylie's sentiment was more rhetorical.
A second passed since she spoke, then Kylie was blindsided by one of her discarded shoes. 'Oh, screw you!' she thought to exclaim facetiously, but found it easier to laugh it off. Junn tended to misinterpret nuance if it was expressed out loud.
The video rolled on. From its lasting discomfort after the Brick Break, it was reasonable to believe Probopass wasn't battle-trained. What with all that talk about downing mountains, defeating Probopass hadn't been the point, and Kylie hadn't expected otherwise; it was a presumption, though, a "no-way-they'd-do-it" moment. Not true premeditation. Thus, Junn sat in melee range just as her opponent was called off the field.
Kylie took note.
"Spearow," the judge indicated as he tossed out another capsule; considering Kylie's inability to tell it apart from all the other brown-grey common birds, she thought it helpful.
"Guess that's why you're taking classes, Kylie," the Trainer muttered under breath. "Can't tell completely different Pokemon apart, huh?" She wrote down "STUDY MORE" and underlined it twice.
She was a smart bird, this Spearow; the judge had intention to bait Junn by having his partner Roost immediately. Anticipating this would do no good, and rightly, the Spearow refuted the order. Instead, she much more dumbly catapulted across the battlefield, blowing up dust in an Aerial Ace so instantaneous and without technique, the build-up was ugly and blemishing; it was the slowest act of expeditiousness Kelly had ever witnessed, which was still fast to the untrained eye. But Jun's counter was inevitable, though there was disorientation about it. With a cry of Hyy-ahh!, a chop across the length of her body struck the earth, and from it, a wave of kinetic power — Psycho Cut — sliced down the field to smack the Spearow straight out of the sky.
"Pff. Nice stance." Kylie eyed Junn after writing the literal opposite down as a point of future improvement.
Junn dared open an eye, clearly not expecting a compliment.
Kylie rephrased: "I mean, you need to work on maintaining it. Your stance."
Her Meditite scoffed and returned to meditating.
Spearow regretted its earlier impertinence, bailing into a Roost.
"Close in!" Kylie's order rang clear, for once, and Junn rushed onto the bird, driving her leg into Spearow's side.
That was the intention, but a separate force thrust her backwards — non-damaging, but effective. A wide-eyed Junn was thrown off her footing.
Spearow squawked and took flight. The judge's announcement, moments before: "Mirror Move!"
Just like a parrot, Kylie found herself thinking. Her past self seemed far more baffled, however. No one had ever ordered "Mirror Move" in her experience before. She weighed adding another underline to the note about studying, but she could see herself evaluating the target's energy, and decided scholarly understanding was unneeded here.
The Kylie of that moment was thoroughly concentrating, now. Even from the camera's point-of-view, her new stance was apparent. She was crouched lower to the terrain, her arms positioned as Junn's were when she was first summoned. The intent to be on-guard went unsaid. The Meditite could feel the readjustment without looking; she could feel the need to return to previous form. Identical in body and mind, the two partners positioned themselves to overcome their second obstacle.
"Gust!" decried the judge.
Spearow beat its wings, forming a gale targeted in Junn's direction.
The Meditite stood resolute against the force, as discomforting as it became. The winds became sharp against her skin. She hissed.
Stay mindful, Junn.
Her partner's eyes fluttered shut. Her jaw softened. She gave a quiet hm.
As Spearow's Gust petered out with its tiring wings, Junn concluded her on-the-cuff Meditate and readied another offense. She struck the ground again, the Psycho Cut obviously; it hacked through a dim simulacrum of the once-airborne opponent, now rushing towards her in a blur of brown feathers with, as her Trainer vocalized, "Aerial Ace, again!"
Junn's own copy took the hit—

—and Spearow wheeled around to hit the real thing.
"That didn't work," present-Kelly stated. She took another note.
Her past self reacted quickly. "Fall back! Maleko!"
Junn struggled to her feet before the ball hitting her from behind toppled her anyway, and she vanished in a red haze.
Her Mantyke burst onto the field, careening in the air, throwing ailerons just beneath the fluorescent lights. To him, it may as well have been the blissful, blue beyond. She whistled and he returned with a trill — the language of the water and the wind. He twisted, spiralled, towards her, snaking across the lengths of her arms. She would move and he would accentuate, an extension of the curvature of her arms above her head, and then again extended at her sides. Kylie posed and, finally, her partner soared past her.
It was an interaction without concrete meaning. Sometimes you just had to trust them, let them join with your energy and movement, understand what's important, then act. So, really, it was about trust. Trust, premeditation, precision, dedication…
At any rate, Miss Spearow was hit point blank with a Water Pulse that caught her off-guard. Clearly, she was offended about being switched out on, not as it were against any rules.
"Next time, close in when the opponent's distracted like that, okay?" Kylie tilted the screen so he could see and understand before realizing Maleko had long since sunk to the bottom of his holding tank beside her bed.
"Oi! Dedicate, c'mon!" Kylie fought, but it proved futile, and ultimately not worth getting up to correct. "Whatever. You'll learn."
Maleko sighed in his sleep.
The dogfight had begun with Spearow barreling forward with a Quick Attack that Maleko was quick to recover from. He threatened to spit back with bubbles like mortar spray — Kelly could feel it coming and called out, "Resist! Water Sport, let's go, Mally!"
The ray chirped in cheerful response, curving back and around with a briny surge arching in his wake. Puddles splotched the battlefield, a visually-intrigued judge and still-offended Spearow looking onward.
Kylie knew she'd anticipated a Mirror Move, a retort against a retort. Regardless if such was intended, her rival was unknowing — this was always preferable. The Spearow thus resorted to its voice, weaponized via Growl, gauging another predictable approach. But Maleko caught it entirely by surprise. With moisture laid on the field, he flew even faster than before, cutting through the air as if were an albescent wave, bursting through that wall of water as it came crashing onto the unsuspecting. His Acrobatics threw Spearow backwards. She cringed and fell.
Called Kylie, "Fall back! Junn!"
The Meditite reentered, dizzy and hurting, but determined, and as Spearow lay more beaten than she—
"Grab her wing!"
"Oh no," groaned Kylie. She remembered this part. Her past self orchestrating — one with her partner, the breath throw to close the match welling within them both.
Kylie gripped—
—heaved the opponent in an arch—
—and threw the referee onto the ground.
There was a pause for post-Kylie to register what had happened. That the judge had been beside her the entire time, for one. The professional managed salvaged her dignity enough to call the match in the challenger's favor, but Kylie was practically talking over her — "Oh, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I didn't realize you were in the way, I'm so-orry!" — and the Kylie of the present, at her limit, paused the footage.
"Yeah, no. That's all I need. We can burn this now."
At the reference to immolation, she made out a stifled giggle from Junn who had always seemed entertained by the thought of burning anything. Kylie didn't know what to make of that.
"Let's review."
She recited from her memos: "'Jun: maintain proper stance between attacks.' Otherwise, you were awesome. No surprise, I guess.'
"Maleko: dedicate to openings you create. Also, don't fall asleep when we're critiquing. You're still asleep, aren't you?"
He was.
She sighed, continuing down the page. "Kylie… 'Stay collected. Don't…' uh, can't read my own handwriting… 'Study more. And practice new moves before applying them.' Funny, I'd thought there'd be more. But I guess we didn't do so bad after all, huh?'"
Satisfied, she capped her pin.
Junn's solemn expression seemed to sour at the ultimatum.
"Don't look all nasty like that; you didn't do anything wrong, really. I just needed to train you better. That's all.
"It's always my responsibility. Just try your best," Kylie continued to reassure. She tapped her Great Ball against Junn's forehead, prompting a smirk from her partner, and recalled her.
After a moment, a spiral-bound notebook smacked against Maleko's tank.
"Yo, fishface! We've got school. Hope you didn't forget."
The Manktyke sputtered to life with a wail. He went belly-up, button eyes screwed shut again, little bubbles drifting from his mouth. His histrionics came packaged with a good-natured smile reminiscent of the one patterned on his back, and Maleko basked in those last few moments not spent within his own Pokeball.
"Such a drama queen!" Kylie exclaimed, the two capsules now fastened to her belt, then obscured by the oversized jacket draping her shoulders. Shoes on and probably late, the Trainer picked up her bag and made for the door. That little Entei emblem gleamed like sparks from a flame in the sunlight.

KYLIE KAHALE is a spunky teenage girl from the Hoenn region with a combined passion for aikido and Pokemon battling. Her mother wasn't an active presence in her life, as a free-spirited Seafolk from Alola, and she chose to leave her family in pursuit of adventure. Kylie has a strained relationship with her father, her single caretaker, who has projected very regressive, sex-defined values onto her. The strain this placed on their relationship made life uncomfortable for Kylie especially, and she often Jumped in-between her father's place in Pacifidlog and older relatives in the southern islands of Hoenn. She does not like to admit the strained relationship holds any significance to her as a person, but Kylie is rarely honest regarding things of that sensitive nature anyhow. And, ever since, she has been greatly fearful of underestimation.

Kylie's longtime residence in the southern isles after a blowout with her father at thirteen marks many halmarks in her development. Her stay with her mother's sister introduced her to the dojo owned by their mother, a self-made entrepreneur of sorts who advocates for peace and understanding. A renowned lover of both people and Pokemon, she owns a plethora of property across South Hoenn promoting her values, including a breeding center in mainland Hoenn and a mixed-species center for martial arts and self-defense. This same dojo was the one her granddaughter, Kylie, enrolled in for aikido classes. Martial arts taught her self-discipline and empathy as she trained alongside humans like her and Fighting-types who came from the mountains to reach their full potential. Underneath her master, she met a rehabilitated wild Meditite, much like many of the immigrating Fighting Pokemon. Junn, she started to call her. It is always difficult to describe the sort of especial bond a person can create with a pocket monster. It was irrefutable, nonetheless, that one was there between Junn and Kylie, and they formed a partnership.

Kylie retains a strong relationship with her grandmother whose benevolence and advice she begrudgingly accepts. She's snarky, often cynical — in regards to her own capabilities in-particular — but she knows dedication like no other and is pretty harmless overall, even if she tends to doubt her peers. She has spent much of her life practicing aikido, her interest in battling peaking, by comparison, much more recently. However, when she found a common trend between her passion and Junn's psychic connection, Kylie became engrossed in honing her skills in that department. So much so, her grandmother's suggestion to audition for the Trainer Academy did not fall on deaf ears, though Kylie had never thought it possible for her to receive any form of organized education; her father and her's financial situation was not befitting. Suddenly, though, applying felt like obligation, as Kylie's grandmother sent her a Mantyke hatched from an egg at her breeding center. Apparently, experimenting with incenses had brought Maleko into the world. Kylie saw her team blossoming and her future showing promise. Her father wasn't willing to take her, but she found a ferry to Slateport after saving up for the entry fee herself. On her exams, she aced the battle portion and did mediocre to poorly on the written part.

I finished my app! Took a while, mostly due to the sample. I really wanted to showcase my approach to writing Pokemon battles. Otherwise, my posts will look relatively similar to the little box. Not the whole shbang. It's a lot, but I hope you enjoy reading!

I also combined aspects of Kylie's personality with her general background, if that's alright. Her "appearance" and the personalities of her Pokemon will pop if you scroll over the respective images.

I would also gladly join the Discord. If you don't mind me asking, why did you decide to create a separate server from that of RPT's? A couple people were curious, and I'd thought I'd ask on their behalf, since they like the illusion having dedicated channels creates of all these RPs being connected.

Hey GM's, I'm not really sure how to explain this other than I used to actualy RP fairly frequently on this site back about a year or more ago. I went by the name WooliestSteam and I was actually in the orginal Pokemon Trainer Academy.

What happened though was that I completly forgot all the information I need to get access back to that account so it's pretty much all but lost now.

So what I want to know is, would it be okay if I started writing an SU and potentially join this RP? :)
