I am delaying the Soul Silver playthrough, I am currently playing it on my DS for the first time so I will wait until I have done it there then I will play it on an emulator! :S

I'm really interested in doing this on an emulator, but I really would love it to be compeletely random and I have no idea how to hack in pokemon that I might get randomized onto the team but would otherwise be unobtainable. I'm on a mac, so any tools that don't have a mac version or require me to run a .exe won't work. Any suggestions?

It depends on the game you play, If you are playing a game on an Gamboy Advance emulator then you only need codes for hacking in pokemon. same with if you play the DS games, I am not sure if telling you links to sites is okay but if you need me to give you ROMs or links to sites for codes then i will be more than welcome! :S

Update #1:
-Started game
-Chose Squirtle as my starter
-Caught Weedle in Viridian Forest and boxed Squirtle
-Trained Weedle-->Kakuna-->Beedrill
-Beat Brock with Beedrill at level 20 (after learning Twineedle)

Generate a mime jr. to start with since it's a baby so it's starter-ish
Get Ekans at the gamecorner before whitney
Can get diglitt in the routes east of cinawood city
Safari Zone should open up right before Jasmine, I'll generate a machamp before Jasmine @ regular machop levels, and catch a muk after
Gliscor will be last, generating it at gligar levels before blackthorn.

Man, Bugsy and Morty will be haaaaaard. I'm gonna get going though @u@ Wish me luck!

If you have troubles getting the pokemon you need, you can always use your starter up until like the 3rd gym I think it is.
