For the record (and if I get this right), Eric has yet to meet the newer recruits. If I were you, I'd rather save that part for when he does unless Gracidea can illegally teleport into the secret base somehow.
It is alright!
In Kung Fu Ferret's last post, he wrote "Send them in". It made me think I could have my character come in. But I can withdraw my post for the moment if needed.
What do you say, Kung Fu Ferret ?

The thing is, Kaede and Andy are in the simulation room and I'd imagine Gracidea and Aster would be in the elevator that's just arrived at the basement and about to get out. However, seems like FCG's first post gave me the impression of the latter two ending up in the simulation room (probably unprompted) with an active simulated case and all.
Edit: I'm finally finished with my sign up sheet!: (I put the whole thing into a spoiler because it runs pretty dang long lol)
(small update: I switched my Alt's battle theme to something I liked a lot better, figured it was okay since my character hasn't been confirmed good to go yet)
Spoiler:
Civilian Name: Marcus Alexander. (no relation to that dude from Germany, I did indeed look the name up, but I've used it for years, so I'm not changing it now)
Moves (maximum of four for each Pokémon, but be reasonable):
Absol: Night Slash, Slash.
Sneasel: Beat Up, Ice Shard, Fling, Fake Out.
Nickit: Thief, Quick Attack, Snarl, Mud Shot. (they've forgotten some of the more powerful moves they used in the old days due to having gone so long without battling)
Personality: Cold. Arrogant. Calloused. A textbook sociopath. All perfectly valid words to describe the former champion Marcus. But there is more to him than one would see from just interacting with him face to face. He can also be kind, gentle, self-sacrificing, and beloved by the Pokemon he cares for. After many years of spending time with them, he's developed the ability to talk to them and understand their unique ways of speaking. He was never really fond of humans, but after he rescued what would become his Absol from an abusive trainer (and former challenger to his title), his lack of fondness turned into outright disdain. He views anyone who treats Pokemon poorly as less than garbage and will do everything in his power to see them punished. He is, or was, a master of battle, and even if he doesn't want to admit it anymore, he still loves the rush he gets when he goes through a tough fight. One of his greatest faults is his anger, it's very easy to provoke him into a state of rage that can make him lose sight of the bigger picture. Acting like a fool (even if it benefits him), however, is even worse, as he will begin to belittle the person or people who set him off without care for what may be happening around him, deciding instead to focus his full attention on telling said parties all the things they 'should' have or 'could' have done differently to achieve their goals instead of whatever foolish thing they tried to do instead (example: "Wait, you're still going to try and fight me? Even after I dispatched your buddies without even a second thought? Just how stupid are you, exactly? Don't you know that whatever poor pokemon you've managed to shove into those balls you've got there still get really hurt when they get knocked out? Don't you even care?" etc etc)...
Then he puts on the mask and becomes a completely different person. In his 'alter-ego' form, he's a bright, caring, charasmatic prankster who loves to help people, even to the extent of getting himself hurt. Just as long as no one asks him to take it off, he really doesn't like to do that, and he will get very uncomfortable if ever the topic of 'real identities' is brought up.
History (prepare for a book lol):
Spoiler:
Marcus was born and raised in the Galar region. He was never close with his parents, choosing instead to spend most of his free time with wild Pokemon he would find in the grasslands close to his house. One day when he was 6, he met a very special Fox Pokemon that took such a liking to him that he followed Marcus home. At first, his parents said he had to get rid of him, but after they gave some thought to the possibility of him taking on the Gyms in the future, decided to let him keep 'Foxxy' as his first official partner.
After he reached his teenage years and started to train 'Foxxy' to battle, he soon evolved and learned how to steal things from Pokemon in the wild and Pokemon that belonged to trainers. After this development, Marcus changed his Fox's name (more like gave him a proper one, really) to Swindle. As time went on, he eventually started to work on getting a proper team together to take on the Gym challenge. He started by adding a little Sneasel girl he named Shade to his team (that he had a great fondness for), a Growlithe pup was next, whom Marcus named Wolf, then a few others that he doesn't travel with anymore joined up, and he had a championship worthy team! Only, he never actually got around to taking on the Gyms in Galar due to the sudden loss of his mother from illness and his father from grief. So he started traveling the world instead, eventually becoming a champion in another region in the process. He collected many different Pokemon over the course of his travels, including a Riolu girl he called Ria, an Eevee he quickly (and rather accidentally) evolved into an Espeon he named Glass, a special Kirlia he named Anastasia, and finally, after years of battling as a champion, an Absol he took from a wicked trainer who challenged his title. At first, the Absol was distrusting of him (not having wanted to be caught in the first place), but after he released him from the Great Ball that was his prison and told him that he was free, the Absol chose to give Marcus a chance. After adding 'Echo' to his team (Anastasia never fought, she was the team's, and his, healer), he quit the League and started to travel again.
He started finding new homes for most of the extra Pokemon he kept in his boxes, as he was no longer interested in keeping them around in his PC as nothing more than trophies or mementos from his travels, and wanted to give them all a better life. Including, eventually, his Gardevoir Anastasia, whom he left with a group of rangers who were looking for a field medic. After he reduced the total number of Pokemon in his possession down to a single team of six, he departed from the world of humans (figuratively, of course), choosing instead to live a life away from people whom he started to greatly resent.
After years of wandering, he decided to return to his home region to see how things had changed. After he had arrived in Galar once again, he was jumped in an alleyway when he had gone for a night walk by three thugs who wore a large red R on their shirts and demanded that he give them his Pokemon. He quickly dispatched two of them without any trouble at all, but when the third one still wanted to fight, it sent him into one of his 'episodes'. Even when he could feel Glass's warning from inside his Pokeball not to let his guard down, he still chose to berate the thug for being too stupid to run away and spare his Pokemon the pain and injury of losing a battle with someone much stronger than them. In his anger (and arrogance), he didn't notice the fourth thug sneak up behind him until he was hit on the head with a brick. Even while dazed, he picked himself off the ground, only to find that the Pokeballs he kept in his coat were stolen and that the two remaining thugs were running off in different directions, each with three of his Pokeballs in their possession...
He recognized the Premier Ball his Absol Echo was re-caught in, and he had chased that thug down with all his might. He had made Echo a promise once, when he put him back into a ball, that he would never let anyone try to control him again, and he would rather die than break that promise. After Marcus cornered the fleeing thug, he beat the guy senseless (almost to death), then cheched the other Pokeballs to see who else he had managed to save... He had recovered Echo of course, but also Shade and Swindle. But the others... Wolf, Ria, and Glass... Were lost in the process. The rest of the only family he had left... What made matters worse though, was that somehow Shade and Swindle had de-evolved following the attemped abduction. Broken beyond words and furious at the world, he has only two goals now: to recover his missing family, and to wipe the people who took them from him off the face of the planet. He heard about the group going after them (after finding out who they worked for) and decided that (after much convincing from Swindle and Shade) he would be unable to take on the whole army of them on his own (especially in the state they're in) and ventures to Unova to join the mystirious 'Retaliator' group as a means to achieve his ends...
Civilian Appearance (Pic? Description? Both?): (I managed to get a very 'beta' drawing of him from a free AI art site (my ability to draw doesn't exist lol), which one I don't remember, as I checked many, all I know is it was one that didn't require making an account, anyway, it's not at all a 'perfect' representation of him, but it gives a bit of a general idea):
Spoiler:
His shirt color is wrong (also the fact that it's supposed to be buttoned more), his hair isn't quite right, you can't see his fingerless gloves in this pic, his coat's collar is much too high, and the coat's also a little too long, but given the fact that I can't draw stick people well, I'd say it's pretty dang good.
He's 6 ft. 1 in. tall. He has (a very specific shade of) purple hair and ??? eyes (he never takes his void-black sunglasses off in public). He's got a sturdy build, but he's not exactly muscular. His hair isn't short, but it's not what you'd call medium-length either. He wears brown (possibly pho-leather) fingerless gloves (plateless gauntlets?) that go up almost to his elbows, dark brown (up to a little under the) knee-high boots, (the afore mentioned) sunglasses, black pants that are tucked into his boots, a purple button-up collared shirt (that no one can see because it's hidden under), a thick dark brown (modified) trench-style coat that he always keeps closed (couldn't for the life of me get any of the images to keep his dang coat buttoned up lol), and a (recently added) black backpack (that he uses to store his 'other clothes'). He also has a special pendant hanging from his neck (but again, it's hidden by the trench coat).
Retaliator Apperance: (Same as above in regard to my ability to draw lol, though this one I'd dare say would be impossible even for an AI anyway due to the level of complexity of the colors of his new outfit, but I did my very best to describe them, and would be happy to try to find images of pieces that 'kinda look' like what I'm talking about if needed.)
His alter outfit consists of dark purple gloves that come about half way up his forearms, black (shorter than his regular ones, but still pretty long) sturdy boots, his black pants are the same (but you can now see a little more of them), the coat he now wears is a lot smaller and tighter fitting than his modifide trench coat, though it still covers the top-most part of his thighs, it is what I can only describe as a 'cosmic' (blacks, dark blues, dark purpers, speckled with a few tiny white, gold, red, and orange stars) colored hoodie with white sleeves starting from about half way up from his elbow going down to his wrists (it starts off sort of blending with the dark purples, blacks, and very subtle dark blues of his main coat, then all the other colors fade out, leaving only white from a little over half way up his forearm down), if someone somehow sees his shirt behind his zip-up jacket, it's in a beautiful neon light style rainbow of colors featuring a fair amount of dark purples and blues with white, orange, redish-pink, and cyan blue accents. He has a black hood over his head (one that a person might describe as jedi-ish in size, meaning it isn't synched around his head in a suffocating manor lol), and his face is now covered by a white and silver (chrome?) hi-tech-looking digital fox-like mask (it's shape is similar to the Keaton mask (hence his new name) in the Legend of Zelda series) that can mimic very simple-looking faces (I actually have a 'sort of' example of what the 'digital faces' thing kinda looks like, as it was my inspiration for this part of the mask, look up "Inscryption PO3" and check out pictures of his 'faces', it's something akin to that (though less weird looking than PO3's lol) Oh, and he's still wearing his special pendant.
Special Abilities: When his mask is down, he can speak with Pokemon. He has a great resistance to physical pain (see 'other'). I don't know if I'd call his personality change when he dons his mask a 'special ability', but it certainly is odd. When he's wearing the mask, he has a general increase in his charisma and ability to 'charm' people(though it's not perfect lol).
Theme Song:
Alter's Theme Song: (they're almost completely different people personality wise, so I don't see why they both shouldn't have a special song)
Battle Theme:
Alter's Battle Theme:
Other (anything else you might want to add): Huh. I probably could have put some of the things from his personality here... But oh well. I guess I can mention that Swindle is a shiny. Oh, Marcus also got his super resistance to pain by having his Lucario Ria beat the heck out of him every day and had Anastasia heal him. The only legendary Pokemon he's ever seen were one of the Galarian beasts, (he isn't sure which) and Raikou, who he actually managed to catch and use for a while, though he eventually set Raikou free as he didn't want to use such a beautiful creature as nothing more than a tool.
Ok, I had forgotten the part about Eric starting the quick simulation. I modified my post to have my character just enter the basement. Sorry for the mistake!
One IC post up -- though not sure if the rickety, abandoned shack is even supposed to be there. Will edit accordingly if it shouldn't.
Also, fun fact: So far we only have male trainers and female non-trainers (Kaede is a ranger and Gracidea is a Gardevoir) in the roster. This may change as more members come in, however. 😉
So both of them count, then. Had to ask because FCG's comment about Gracidea reminds me of the Gardevoir from Pokemon Rejuvenation. Unlike Gracidea though, that Gardevoir is a dark-type.
Also, did you count Gracidea and Harry's Ralts separately or as one evolution line?
