The second bug pokemon club

    Welcome to the second bug pokemon club.

    The purpose of this club is to appreciate bug type pokemon, discuss their movesets, talk about real life bugs, and to reminisce about the old days of PC when there was a club dedicated to every type of pokemon and members would sport pokemon sprites in their sigs declaring which type clubs they belonged to. In a manor similar to this:

    These clubs were very trendy a year and a half ago (or around then). To me, they symbolize the PC that I first joined and loved (not that there's anything wrong with the current, it's just that there was a different appeal then). So I thought it would be fun to start this throwback club. Perhaps it will spawn other such clubs. If it does, we'll take any of you on in a type-themed netbattle. *Cracks nuckles* So ya... post, reflect upon bygone days with gladness, and be merry.
    I don't think I can call myself founder as the original club was a Pokepoop creation. So I will satisfy myself with the title of "Re-founder."
    I don't expect that anybody will want to use the old sig format, because it's not the "cool" thing now days. But I'll probably do it to my sig tomorrow.
    So, everybody interested in bugs please join. Post soon to get dibs on your representative pokemon that you can choose/choose not to have in your sig.

    Ryan, I'm here to save the club from death at the hands of potential "lolz im hear i luv buge pkmn" poster-type people who come in once and never return. I have a deep and profound appreciation for all things etymological in the pokemon world.

    Bug pokemon are teh love <33 And actually, I have a rough plotline for a fanfic on "Bugcatcher Floyd" and his Yanma 0o; Very interesting x3 Don't get turned off because of the name Floyd. ;P
     
    Whoa whoa whoa... Just because I go to school doesn't mean you can steal my club. My favorites happen to be Scyther and Heracross. I also like bugs in real life. Except bad bugs... today I killed a gnat. My friends started picking on me because it was rather unprovoked. Though there was this one time when a spider was looking at me wrong in Mexico... so I kicked it... Anyway... bugs are the best. My favorite animal is the ant.
     
    Floyd is a pwnage name, Paul, don't be ashamed o_O;

    I'd have to say my favorite bug pokemon is Shuckle, followed closely by Pineco. I can't say why; they just attracted my interest the most, especially during the GS period, which was the height of my pokemon fandom.

    (Same with the SHC. Well... he started admitting/not admitting members even though he really had no authority to do so) But this isn't a club about grudges, oh no. This is a club about bugs.
     
    I'm going to go work on that Fanfic right now~

    You could save I have "writer's lust". I literally can't help writing 0o;

    Shuckle is legendary in my opinion, but that's another discussion for another (CURRENTLY DEAD, PAUL >O ) club...

    But yes, the type combo I've hoped for more than anything is Bug/Dragon.
     
    Flygon is COMPLETELY bug/dragon. Vibra even more so.

    I'd like to see a fire/bug type more than a dragon/bug. I don't really care for dragons... It could be a fire ant pokemon that evloves into a firefly pokemon. BRILLIANT!
    (Though I suppose "Dragonfly" pokemon make sense too. We do need a lightning bug pokemon that's actually an electric type.)

    I only hope for a bug/dragon type over anything else because nintendo in its foolishness would never agree to a legendary pokemon that isn't at least half-dragon, so I've supposed that it's settle for that or never have one at all.

    So right with Vibrava and Flygon, Paul <3

    In all honesty, I'd like to see Bug/Ice. It's always fun to have a pokemon with one type that's super-effective against its other type.

    RS was on the right track with bug creativity with pokemon like Shedinja and Masquerain. DP, though I will never own it, will expand on this, hopefully.
     
    It wouldn't be that cool or anything, but I think it would make a lot of sense to have a dark/bug. I mean, there are loads of bugs that live in total darkness (worms are the first that come to mind). They could design a giant, terrifying tapeworm pokemon that they'd get sued over!
