The second bug pokemon club

Nintendo doesn't have the intestinal fortitude to have a tapeworm pokemon =/

*is violently gunned down for pun*

Bug/Dark has always interested me as a type. I mean, most insects have always seemed malevolent in nature to humans, so it's only proper we have something that resembles a mosquito or spider. They weren't afraid to call Zubat a bloodsucker in RBY many years ago; they shouldn't show cowardice in such matters now.

Seriously... Bugs get a bit ripped off by being stuck with grass and poison so often. They could make some MEAN combos... But alas... they are underappreciated.
Edit: Today at youth group I saw a really cool moth. I "observed" it for like a full minute and my friends thought I was crazy. I probably am.

Moths > Butterflies, but no one at PC seems to appreciate them. I've gone round and round in debates about this here, but to no avail. Large moths are very intricate and fascinating. I've seen a few gigantic ones in my day, the largest with a wingspan of just over half a foot. I've even had the pleasure of seeing a few luna months, which are incredibly rare; I have no idea exactly what types are indigenous to our area, but we certainly do have a diverse assortment of them.

I don't know if moths are really better than butterflies. They're pretty closely related and pretty awesome. They're essentially the same. You could call a moth a "night butterfly" or a butterfly a "day moth." I was thinking the other day... Which type of butterfly is the immitator? Is it the monarch butterfly or is it the other one that looks just like it? Gaa... I can't remember its name or if it's the poisonous one...

I know what butterfly you're talking about, but I have no idea what it's called either...monarchs actually seem to be getting rarer and rarer, actually, which is disappointing. I've raised some from egg to butterfly, and it's a beautiful site, albeit a nervous week during the chrysalis stage. I saw one today, but it only made the fifth or so I've seen all summer.

Ah... I live in California not too far from Natural Bridges Park (which is the hugest resting ground for migrating monarch butterflies in America). I've been there a few times. It's really quite impressive. (They cluster on tree brances and stuff)

Edit: I looked it up, the "viceroy" is the imitator of the monarch. At least that's what the site I'm on said...

Viceroy is correct, sir ;D

We always get monarch catapillars on our milkweeds ^^ They're kawaii little catapillars~ I should name one caterpie sometime...

Anways...still plugging away at the fanfic XD But it's on my other computer, so I have to finish the first chapter to make it worth transferring down to this one.

Viceroy? Clever name...I've always wanted to see the hibernation areas of the Monarch butterflies in California and Mexico; the films I've seen of them are spectacular.

I used to live at a place that had a lot of milkweed, Paul, so we got a lot of Monarchs...but where I live now there is no milkweed, so I guess we get less Monarchs for that reason ._.;

We have a magical little spot in our forest where there's a bunch of monarchs. It's quite fun to go there =O

When I was in kindergarten we raised silk worms. I forget what kind of leaves they ate, but the trees grew all along the front of our school. They went through the various stages of metamorphisis and whatnot. We enjoyed them thoroughly. I think my teacher got rid of them before they turned into moths though. Which is sad, yet makes some sense... It wouldn't do to have 50 moths flying around a kindergarten classroom...

Stupid Nintendo! They wouldn't know a bug if it came up and introduced itself!
Would you guys say that Armaldo or Shuckle is the better rock/bug type?

Shuckle, mainly because I'm a fanboy, and fanboys don't have to give reasons for liking something XD

Though in a battle Armaldo would pwn it ._.;

I spent my lunch period looking for bugs. It was awesome. I told my group, "I'm gonna go find a bug in this bush." And walked over to the bush we were next to and found this one green bug that was kinda like a grasshopper. It was really well camoflaged, but it looked really cool. It ended up flying away, but I got a really poor shot of it on my camera phone.

What's wrong with BeameR's post?? Hmm? *Goes to read le fan fic du Katsuro*
Edit: I'm intrigued by your fan fic, Paul. You'll have to alert us when you post new chapters.
