Well I've been ungodly busy since I have exams next week, but all of my projects are done now so I officially have plenty of free time again. So I'm in. Although I don't see a purpose In waiting another week for it to hit the one month mark if nobody is posting anyways. XD; I think when it is remade, however, you should try and quiet the tone down a bit. I was looking at the plot, and one of the things that bugged me was all fo the transfer students coming nowhere and the hectic SOS Brigade. I think a better and easier to use background would be just to have the originals all just go off to college, have the SOS Brigade day for a little while, and then have this new girl (who would replace Haruhi) just come along one day, hear about the Brigade somehow, and try to make a new one. Also, the hunt for Haruhi. That seems fun and all, but with the novels not even finished, we have no clue what happens in the end. Anything could have happened to her. I think it may just be best to end up just doing a "Fresh SOS Brigade Start" kind of deal to avoid making things overly complicated. The novel has already proven that Haruhi may not be the only one capable of manipulating the world, so why not this new girl as well? Just my 2 cents that may not be worth anything. XD

That being said, I had a good idea for my character, though it extends out of the esper / alien / time traveler norm. Instead, my character idea was someone from another world who claims his / her world may be at risk because of this girl, so he / she needs to monitor her.

Anyways... Haruhi's eccentricities. This is hard. I'm not overly fond of Haruhi as a character, I like Kyon and the supporting cast much more. But, I suppose the hairstyle thing is pretty interesting.

I actaully like that idea. It seems interesting for a good RP plot.
 
All I can say is that David's 2¢ are worth more than their seeming face value. I'm all for them, really.

The inclusion of a slider should make things...interesting.

Well, if he's at all referring to my post with that slider comment, a slider could be someone capable of dimension travel. Can't be sure though. And even if it is, I can't be sure my version of someone like that is the same as Jack's. XD

So, I guess the first stage requires us to pick our "Haruhi", so to speak. That's the only character we need established right now.

I'll be the replacement. I have an eaiser time doing Haruhi's personality. It might even be easier for me to RP too. That is, if David agrees too. XD

Well, there was a show called Sliders that involved people traveling to parallel realities. It just takes a bit of extrapolation to term a dimension-hopper as a slider.

Flip a coin. Heads, I'm an alien. Tails, I'm an ESPer. If it stands on edge, I'm a time traveler.

Anyways, do we have an idea as to when we start this up? I'll try and come up with a form so we can get our characters ready ahead of time.

EDIT: Here's the general concept for my character. it's a little weird, but what isn't weird about the series? XD

"He's from an alternate reality that branches differently from modern history after the end of the second world war. As such, his world is similar, yet different from our own. it wasn't until the event that triggered the awakening of Haruhi Suzumiya before they came to realize that the "real world" existed. They had planned on sending a witness during Haruhi's reign of the SOS Brigade, but at the time they didn't have sufficient technology to transport someone to another world. One day, shortly after a means of transportation was suddenly completed, something affected his world that was not the doing of Miss Suzumiya, but rather another force (which would be the new SOS Leader). So, in the end, they sent my character to monitor this new leader. There's a twist, too. In order to manifest oneself in another dimension, their state of being becomes modified in order to better suit the dimension. Unluckily for my character, his state of being becomes modified by either the influence of Haruhi or Kazumi (nobody knows which one's influence, if either at all), and assumes the form of a young female student at North High. i know it sounds a little weird, but I think it's a good concept, and it won't be weird or anything."
 
Here is my RP form, you guyas can look it over and tell me what you think:

Name: Kazumi Mayumi (She pronounces it as, "Kay-zoomi Mayomi" because she likes to be unique)
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Affiliation: Neo-SOS Brigade
Power Type: Kazumi does not have a certain type of power, however she does possess such a power that is currently unknown to anyone in her world, even herself.

Personality: Kazumi is a very high-spirited young girl; she has a great interest in anything that isn't ordinary, much like Haruhi Suzumiya. Her personality is very similar to Haruhi's as well, she has a limited understanding of what others feel and she only likes to worry about her own emotions. Anyone else's emotions wouldn't be any of her concern. Any other issues she has less concern for is worrying what other people believe in because to her, people should believe in what she wants them too. There is no reason, for her to believe in anything she is told to because its just utter nonesense. Kazumi has a very cold personality; she doesn't like talking to her classmates, constantly ignoring their voices if they speak to her. Everyone always has a hard time trying to make a good conversation with her because she'll turn her head and pretend they aren't there, almost as if she is in her own little world. She loves all kinds of animals, even the non-existent ones such as unicorns, dragons, and other mystical animals. Her hyperness for odd things tends to be docile and sometimes it causes a great amount of chaos if nobody stops her from this random bout of hyperness. Her biggest weakness is calling people by nicknames without asking their permission but its not like it stops her because she likes being unique and she hates people using the same nicknames as her.

Appearance: Kazumi has long light pink hair that reaches just above her bottom; she likes to put clips in her hair to keep the bangs from falling into her eyes. She has bright blue eyes that sparkle in the bright sun; she is fairly tall for her age, averaging to about five feet and seven inches and her skin color is fairly light. Her body type is that of a normal sixteen year old girl, meaning, she isn't too fat nor is she skinny; she is preferably in between, and constantly getting the boys' attention, especially for her breast size which is about the same as Mikuru's cup size. When she isn't attending school, she likes to wear a black hat with black cat ears; she also wears a pink spaghetti strap tanktop with a matching black skirt that reaches above her thighs. Under her skirt is a pair of light pink capris that reached just above her knees. Kazumi wears a pair of black sandals on her small feet; she also wore a pair of black wrist warmers as sort of a fashion sense. Kazumi also wears a black cat color around her neck with a silver tag that has her name engraved into it.

Other: Kazumi is an orphan girl that lives on her own; she moved near North High School and became her own guardian; she currently holds a job at the local pet shop to support herself for her rent, food and other important necessities. Kazumi is currently in Year 11 at North High School; she doesn't get to do a lot fun activities so her main reason of joining the SOS Brigade was to have fun and also because of her interest in things that were out of the ordinary.

Name: Maeda Amaya
Age: 12
Gender: Female
Affiliation: Thear - alternate reality
Power Type: Amaya really possesses two powers. The first is her Slider abilities, which allows her to travel dimensions. This is done through a silver bracelet that she wears on her left wrist at all times. Unfortunately, upon her arrival, the device shorted out and she has become temporarily stranded on Earth. Second, like all beings of her world, she is able to materialize a specific weapon out of thin air for self defense. While this weapon is in her possession, her abilities are heightened so she is capable of combat. Amaya's weapon is a pair of elbow blades, much like those used by Talim in Soul Calibur.

Personality:
On the exterior, Amaya is your typical pre-teen girl. Well, your typical pre-teen girl with the intelligence of a student who is in high school. Which is why, of course, she was placed in a 10th year class at North High after taking the entrance exam. Anyways, the easiest way to explain Amaya's personality is to break it into "modes", for she seems to shift personalities depending on what sort of situation she's faced with. Under most circumstances, she takes the role of arrogant, annoying, little brat. Even with her term at North High only being short this far, the fact that she is technically a middle schooler in high school has formed a small ego that has her looking down on people that she considers undeserving of her respect. To these people, she assigns a less than flattering nickname. She will only call people she respects by their real name, no matter what. At first glance, Amaya wouldn't seem any different than any other girl of her age. She is very energetic, bubbly, mischevious, and she hates to be bored. Overall, she's a very annoying person to people with little patience, especially when she tries to take a "mightier than thou" tone. Of course, when dealing with other supernatural existences without being tied down by the weight of humans to which she can't reveal the truth about her life, Amaya takes on a much more serious, mature personality. Monitoring the SOS Brigade is still her job, and she has to cooperate with these other supernatural beings in the club in order to keep things safe, after all.

Appearance:
Amaya, being the age she is, is far from a young, attractive, well endowed woman. She does, however, still possess that childish appearance that could make someone's heart melt if she willed it. While she is clearly Japanese, her eyes are, in fact, blue. This is due to the difference between Thear and Earth. In contrast, her hair is red in colour, and shoulderlength in size. Generally, she keeps the hair tied into two curly ponytails at the back-sides of her head, which are tied by orange scrunchies. She is thin, and athletic for her age, which clashes with her obvious skill in the academic field. Of course, she may only be athletic because she is so energetic. While during school hours, she of course wears the usual uniform. While on her own time, however, she chooses to dress in a white blouse along with a long, blue, floral print skirt, with a pair of pink flipflops. Of course, her outfits vary, this is just her favorite. And I give you the inspiration for this character. It's basically exactly what she looks like. XD

Other:
Because of her age in relation to her grade, Amaya doesn't have a lot of friends. The other students, while fascinated in her, don't seem to take a liking to the age difference, and push her away because of it. For example, while doing sports in gym, Amaya is a liability in comparison to the older students. In reality, Amaya is actually a slider from an alternate dimension that branches off historically after the second World War. After the awakening of Haruhi Suzumiya, Earth and Amaya's world of Thear became connected, and while Thear wasn't under the direct influence of Miss Suzumiya, it felt some devestating after effects. During Haruhi's reign as SOS Brigade leader, Thear desperately tried to create a device capable of sending someone through a dimensional rift so that they could monitor the girl, but such a device wasn't ready until after she had moved on from high school, and by that time they had just learned of the brigade. But the scientists of Thear grew suspicious, and began to fear the existance of another like Haruhi. If that was true, she would surely rise to take the role of SOS Brigade leader. It was for this reason that they sent two teenaged boys through the dimensions to monitor the potential, new Brigade leader. However, while changing dimensions, something went awry. Under the influence of Haruhi Suzumiya's grasp on Earth, the two boys underwent both physical and mental changes while in transition. While one got off easy, taking the form of a 20 year old man, the other ended up cursed in the form of a young girl. That girl was Amaya, and the two ended up living together taking on the guise of brother and sister who's parents had died. Using that excuse, it wasn't difficult to get the schoolboard to allow Amaya to take the North High entrance exam despite her age, and she was eventually accepted. Now, as a student at the school, it would be easy to monitor the SOS Brigade if it ever came up again. Of course, she never expected to end up being involved in the club...

Anyway, i dont wanna kill the club again but...

Have you ever noticed anything odd or interesting about the anime? Like...I cant explain exactly what I mean but, I mean things that would make sense.

In other words, that one episode where Haruhi and Kyon are in the chaos zone (I think that's what its called, correct me if I'm wrong. :x) and Kyon tells her to wear her hair up in a pony tail...? Well, is it me or does it seem like when she does the next day, it looks like she has more hair than she needs. Her hair looks a bit short just to have a big pony tail like that. D:

I never quite understood the episode where they were fighting that big ummm... Bug ._.
I was staring at the screen blankly while that was happening. It was amusing but... then the computer dork came out of it and it ruined it for me. He's kinda funny though. He made that one episode with the game exceptionally hilarious.
