and regirock dies to hydro pump mence anyway, and Registeel resists its STAB = Registeel is a better counter

Okay, I'm going to assume you are new to competitive battling, because what you're saying is very stupid. Countering = / = Revenge killing, it's always been that way. A counter can come in on an attack from one Pokemon and easily stop it without risking death (barring hax). Mamoswine cannot come in on Outrage, Fire Blast, Draco Meteor, Flamethrower, Fire Fang, etc...without dying. Mamoswine is not a counter to Salamence; it is an effective check, but to be honest, Ice Shard is such a ridiculously easy thing to switch-in on. Please, know what you're talking about before you try and insult me...which brings me to my next point. Why on earth would you try and take my well crafted insult and ruin it not only with something substantially less funny, but also destroy it grammar-wise? In other words, don't try and play this game with me, you'll never win.

Lol @ "not sayin things you don't understand". It's so ironic coming from someone who's post is as ignorant as yours.

Registeel's lower defense means it is much more vulnerable to the likes of Earthquake and weakness to the MUCH more common Fire Blast is also a thorn in its side. It does resist Outrage, making it a fairly good check. And for reference, Regirock never takes over 60% from Choice Specs Hydro Pump, which means it can definately be a counter to Salamence. Please know what you're talking about.

Yeah yeah we know, Smogon is supposedly utterly stupid and incapable of making even the simplest decisions regarding suspect tests or any other kind of serious competitive Pokemon policy.


Also, that damage calculator I will never be able to get used to, OwnPurpose/Libelldra doesn't take long anyway so I don't think I'll ever be able to get used to it =(
 
Hey guys, I know that now Smogon is now doing something that you all feel is "TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE", and that now you all feel you guys are professionals at competitive Pokemon and such, and that your opinion actually matters...but take a second and think of it like this: Smogon is the biggest, most educated site on the internet for competitive battling. Chances are, every battler arguing for or against Salamence is 10 times better than you are, or will ever be. So instead of taking these ridiculous stabs at Smogon because you feel cool "INSULTING SMOGON LOLZ I AM SO SUPERIOR TO SMOGON PPL WILL THINK IM AWESOME", how about you shut up for a while and actually take the time to look over both sides of the debate and THEN draw your conclusion as to who is right and who is wrong. I'm serious, I'm seeing the stupidest of people on this site (you all know who you are) actually consider themselves INTELLIGENT and go so far as to bash Smogon members simply because they're insecure about their own competitive battling skills and feel the need to kick "someone when it's down". It's absolutely disgusting.

I was playing with the damage calculator and it seems pretty fun to me though a tad bit confusing but for simple stuff, I'd Libelldra it lol, attack and defense stats are so much easier lol

and to see the chances or ohkoing and 2hkoing with sr up =)
