well a rock gym leader in a bug mono was always going to be tough it was fine in yellow cuz brock didnt have any rock moves but this time i'm not so lucky roxanne has rock tomb and isnt afraid to spam it not to mention despite its 80 acc she still hits it nearly every goddamn time.
Beautifly VS Geodude, absorb took it to red ninjadodged rock tomb she wasted a potion as i killed it
Switched in Nincada
Nincada VS Geodude, hit it with a couple of sand attack then brought in dustox which got some damage off then finished with beautifly
Nincada VS Nosepass
oh god i excpected this to be hard and it wouldve been if not for one savior... Sand Attack. nincada threw 6 sand attacks at it then proceeded to harden (he blocked me from escaping) then i slowly chipped away with leech life bringing him to red and making her use her last potion then i ran out of PP and started chipping away with scratch since she downright refused to use rock tomb and still barely hit tackle cuz of sand attack eventually she did kill me though she was in the yellow so i brought in beautifly and it lived an absorb with a tiny smidgeon of health just to say "yeah i'm a bulky mofo so ha ha" thankfully due to the low accuracy it missed rock tomb and a second absorb put the nail in the coffin.

Platinum Ground Monotype, Update #4

Spoiler:

-Beat Barry at the Hearthome City gate.
-Went through Route 209 and battled the trainers there.
-Arrived in Solaceon Town.
-Checked out the ruins and got HM05 for Defog.
-Put Margarita in the Daycare.
-Went through Routes 210 and 215, battling lots of trainers along the way.
-Arrived in Veilstone City.
-Checked out some of Veilstone City, including the Game Corner, Department Store and such.
-Beat the trainers on Route 214. In doing so, Morton evolved into Gastrodon.
-Found a Razor Fang, which I used to evolve Jade into Gliscor.
-Caught a Rhyhorn on Route 214 named Polaris.
-Caught a Hippopotas in the Ruin Maniac Tunnel named Pygmy.
-Got TM40 for Aerial Ace on Route 213 and taught it to Jade.
-Withdrew Margarita from the Daycare and put Pygmy in there to get her some levels.
-Beat the trainers in the Veilstone Gym.
-Challenged the Gym Leader, Maylene!

Veilstone Gym overview:

She starts off with Meditite while I open with Jade. She uses Fake Out, which barely does anything, but I flinch. Me: 86/94 HP. I use Aerial Ace and kill her in one hit. Jade grows to Level 31 after that and learns Night Slash, which I replace with Faint Attack for that extra 10 power (although I do like that getting through evasion noobs, I have Aerial Ace for that).
Next up is Machoke. I use Aerial Ace and she lives in the orange, predictably, and uses Rock Tomb, which lowers my Speed. Her: 30% or so HP, Me: 79/97 HP and -1 Speed. Despite that, i'm still faster and finish her with Aerial Ace.
Finally is Lucario. She's faster because of the speed drop and uses Metal Claw, but it doesn't do much at all, and I use Earthquake, which kills her in one hit and ends the battle.
Yeah, I wasn't expecting this to be hard while I had Gliscor. The only thing that could have kept me from destroying that Lucario was her using Force Palm and paralyzing me. So yeah, pretty easy.

-Found Lucas outside the Gym, who apparently had his Pokédex stolen by Team Galactic.

Ok I think that I signed up for ghost mono type run through fr - I wasn't on this community for a while because school came in between ..

Now I realized that I can only catch ghastly that's ghost type in FR. And ghastly is found pretty late in game. So can I use randomizer in order to randomize ghastly as starter? I tried to do hacking in before - and whenever I tried to hack in a certain pokemon that pokemon remaind to be the only wild pokemon found through the entire game - which was pretty annoying since it was impossible to train in the grass :/

Defeated Red. I kinda was low on levels, but I didn't want to grind anymore, so I figured out a strategy with Pinsir. First, i went back to Blackthorn City, took Rock Climb away from his moveset and made him learn Stealth Rock. Then, I took some HM Slave for that friggin' HM, and made it again to Red, now with proper items and two levels up, thanks to some wild ones and a Rare Candy.

First off, I've set up 3 X-Def and 3 X-Sp. Def. Pikachu was trying to harm the guy with Thunderbolt and Quick Attack (dunno why wasn't using Volt Tackle), and I was just stalling him, setting some stats up and then healing the next turn. When I got 3 X-Speed, 6 X-Attack, and Stealth Rock set, I was ready to go.

Pikachu died in one hit with Earthquake.
Charizard died in one hit with X-Scissor (50% health gone thanks to SR).
Lapras died in one hit with Superpower.
Snorlax died in one hit with Superpower.
Blastoise died in three hits, allowing me to set up X-Attack and X-defend twice.
Venusaur died in two hits, X-Scissor twice.

That allows me to say... Challenge complete! :D

Went looking all over the place for a Thunder Stone but no luck. Really hoping to not have to wait until postgame to get Eevee to evolve.

Progressed onto Hearthome City, did a super contest and wandered around aimlessly not knowing I had to beat Fantina to progress and found myself utterly confused since she's the 5th gym leader. Finally figured it out. Struggled with her for a couple tries but finally beat her. Chomper evolved into Gabite. Moved forward to Veilstone City and defeated Maylene rather easily.
