Now to think up of a weird game that might be a little bit more grounded than MSD.

Dumb question time. Why are denizens of the Underground called "snails?" Does it have anything to do with salt?

I believe we started saying in following Epic Mafia games. People would use up the entire time limit during nighttime and even daytime, so they were snails because they're slow. Similarly can be used on the forums when phases go slow or GMs are slow. Now mostly a term of endearment for each other.

And salt kills snails, so we try not to get salty. ;)

Actually Klippy, it was because of me why snails became a thing.

You see, when I was hosting S3, I was really slow at updating the phase posts. Then Naku also was slow with updating F&L, and snails became a thing... also salt is also probably one thing i brought to the table when I made my GAU deathpost... i think. idr much of the details :x
