The Username Letter Challenge.

I started my challenge on Blue. I did the starting stuff and then I caught a Rattata. I went to Pewter City and beat Brock. Rattata evolved and I went to Cerulean City. I beat my rival and caught a Bellsprout. I helped Bill and beat Misty. I then went to Vermillion City and Bellsprout evolved. I went on the SS. Anne and beat my rival and then beat Lt. Surge. I then went towards Rock Tunnel and caught a Voltorb. I then made it to Lavender Town and Voltorb evolved. I then got to Celedon City and evolved Weepinbell. I then beat Giovanni and got a Porygon. I then beat Erika. I am currently in Celedon City.

*Kyuubi, once again, solos.
*Since you can't get the Moon or Fire stone until late in the game, I'm probably gonna have to hack those in. :/

I have a quick question. If our name has more than 6 letters, are we still allowed to use only like 3 Pokemon?

Also, how do ultimate challenges function in this? Do we have to use the same Pokemon from Red/Blue to the end? Or is it "beat all the games"?

Yeah, I was also thinking that the Pokemon should be able to change from game to game.

I also think that you should be able to do whatever number you want, just set a minimum of 3 or 4 or something.

I also put out the option of maybe doing 6 consecutive letters or even just six letters from your name, but I'll understand if this one isn't something you want to do. I was thinking that I would like to use the other 2 letters in my name for some variety in my ultimate challenge.

Yes, as long as the letters of the names are consecutive. For example, I could only do letters 'I', 'N', and 'F' if I wanted to do so.

You do not have to use the same pokemon. You should, however, probably use the same set of beginning letters for your team, unless there is a special case. (Ex: having an X in your name and not being able to get Xatu in a game, etc.) Basically, just beat all the games you can.

I, originally, was thinking about this as well. However, I'm under the impression that people could easily just pick the best letters/consecutive letter order , and therefore have a wider/better selection of Pokemon to choose from. This would likely make this challenge not quite seem hard enough to be considered a challenge, if you see what I'm getting at.

Just my two cents.

Okay, here's my update.

Spoiler:

• Named self Jaskil, rival Tom.

  Defeated him easily with Bubble.
  
  
• Went through Mt. Moon solo easily enough. Blast evolved into Wartortle.
• Arrived at Cerulean with just Blast, though I caught a Spearow later for trade fodder.
  
  
  
  
  Beat Tom pretty easily. Bulbasaur never used Vine Whip for whatever reason, so Blast made it through.
  
  
• After beating up Nugget Road and getting the SS Ticket from Bill, I went down to Vermilion to get a Drowzee.
• In Vermilion, I traded for the Farfetch'd named Dux and then caught a Drowzee named Harold.
• Went back to Cerulean and fought Misty.
  
  
  
  
  Blast was overleveled and knew Bite. End of story.
  
  
• Took on the SS Anne, where Harold learned Confusion and Headbutt so was able to really fight his own battles. Also taught him Seismic Toss.
• At the end, Tom was waiting.
  
  
  
  
  
  Harold swept him with Confusion and Headbutt. After the battle, he evolved into Hypno!
  
  
• Got Cut and taught it to Dux.
• Went into the Vermilion Gym.
  
  
  
  
  Lt. Surge was not hard for Harold to handle.
  
  
• Went back up north to the Rock Tunnel without Flash, which wasn't too annoying.
• After arriving in Lavender Town, I went east to Celadon.
• Went and got Fly, then caught a Doduo named Dean in that area.
• With Dean, I went into the TR Game Corner Hideout.
• After a couple Pokemon Center visits, I found myself facing Giovanni.
  
  
  
  
  Dean was still a bit underleveled, so Blast took care of Onix and Rhydon and Harold took down Kangaskhan.
  
  
• After that, I challenged the Celadon Gym.
  
  
  
  
  Erika went down easily to a newly learned Drill Peck (L30).
  
  
• Then I flew back to Lavender Town and started the ascent up Pokemon Tower.
• First, though, Tom was in an experience giving mood.
  
  
  
  
  
  Drill Peck was still the move of the moment, and afterwards, Dean evolved into Dodrio!

I am just about to scale the rest of Pokemon Tower, and after I get the Poke Flute, I will be able to get the Super Rod and fish for a Poliwhirl so I can trade for Jynx. Half my team is obtained right now.

*As I finished that up, I head to Ice Path.
*Dosenkiryu evolves into a Rhydon. Now my entire team is complete. c:
*Defeated Clair with Raikiri. Cleared Dragon's Den. Got the Master Ball from Elm.
*Headed to Tohjo Falls. Kanto! 8D
*Gotten past Victory Road, taught Hirudora Earthquake. Just gonna train a bit more, then I'm ready.

• Scaled Pokemon Tower, avoiding the trainers that I could.
• Saved Mr. Fuji and got the Poke Flute.
• Went south and killed Snorlax, then got the Super Rod.
• Fished in Celadon City for a L23 Poliwhirl, then flew to Cerulean and traded for a Jynx named Lola (damn it, the letter doesn't match...:/)
• Trained Lola up on trainers I had avoided before outside Vermilion. The exp boost helped it go fast.
• Caught Lola up to the rest of the team, then biked to Fuschia, avoiding all trainers on Cycling Road.
• Got Surf and Strength from the Safari Zone and the Warden, respectively. Taught both of them to Blast.

• I taught Taz Cut and Surf and boxed Dux - no need for him now.
• Went to Saffron and entered Sliph Co.

Uodate:

-Went through Union cave. Gastly's Nightshade was excellent @-@
-Reached Azalea.
-Fought through Slowpoke Well.
-Bugsy Battle

Relatively easy @-@ Well, I had a plan. I used Onix's Rage and spammed it while I was fighting Metapod. Scyther went down in one hit of Rock Throw.

-Rival Battle. I won with mostly Gastly.
-Went through Ilex. Pokemon around 20ish.
-Reached Goldenrod.
-Went up tou route 35 and caught my Nidoran, nicknamed Nano.
-Trained Nidoran and evolved into Nidorino.
-Battled Whitney with Nidorino about level 20.

Easy as well. I spammed Nidorino's Double Kick. I had originally planned to beat her using Gastly's immunity, but I didn't know that Miltank had Scrappy >.<

-Got bike and squirtbottle.
-Traveled to Ecruteak.
-Battled Rival again. Won using both Gastly and Nidorino.
-Caught a Koffing and named it Waft.

I'm about the Challenge 4th gym so I'll probably edit that in.

*I KO Snorlax and continue on.
*I arrive in Pewter City, and defeat Brock.
*I defeat my rival in Mt.Moon, and head to Cinnabar.
*I defeat Blaine easily with Suiryudan.
*With a group effort, I defeat Blue rather easily as well. Guess where I get to go now?
*I train a bit before going into Mt.Silver for teh epicness.
*I'm training on the mountain peak where Red is, since there are higher levels.

*I finally consider my levels to be high enough, so I battle Red.
*I easily defeat Red, with the only semi-difficult pokemon being Snorlax. I did it! 8D

Update: Have gotten all 8 badges on Red.

• Before I took on TR in Saffron, I first fought all the trainers in Cycling Road and Silence Bridge.
• Took on TR in Sliph Co. Got the Key Card early so it was easy to go up floor by floor.
• After taking out all the Grunts, I found Tom.
  
  
  
  
  Blast took down all his Pokemon till Venusaur critted a Razor Leaf. Lola finished up with Ice Punch.
  
  
• Now it was time to face Giovanni for the second time.
  
  
  
  
  Taz dominated with Surf.
  
  
• Dean Pecked the Fighting Dojo to death, then I entered the real Saffron Gym.
  
  
  
  
  Sweep with Lola, who got Alakazam to fall to a Lovely Kiss + 3 Body Slams combo.
  
  
• With the Marshbadge in hand, I set out for Cinnabar Island from Pallet Town.
• Continued on to the Seafoam Islands after arriving, and killed Articuno.
• After defeating the rest of the trainers along the sea route to Fuchsia, I flew back to Cinnabar.
• Got the SecretKey in Pokemon Mansion, and challenged the gym.
  
  
  
  
  Lola took down all his Pokemon before Arcanine Fire Blast'd her. Dean cleaned up with a Peck.
  
  
• Then I flew to Viridian and headed straight for the gym.

  Howard was able to sweep with Psychic, OHKOing everyone except for his L50 Rhydon.
  
  
• And that's where I'm saved, in Viridian.

Next up is Tom again, then Victory Road and the Elite Four.

I went and defeated Team Rocket and Lavender Town. I then went to Fuchsia City and beat Koga. I then went to Cinnabar Island and got an Aerodactyl and an Omanyte. I then went to Saffron City and defeated Team Rocket at the Silph. Co and I beat Sabrina. Omanyte then evolved. I then went to Cinnabar Island and beat Blaine. I went to Viridian City and beat Giovanni for the last time and also beat my Rival. I then went to and through Victory Road. I then challenged the Pokemon League.

Update:

Instead of challenging gym now, I went on a few detours.
-Trained Koffing to level 24.
-Went to Olivine and caught a Staryu that I named Shiloh.
-Leveled Staryu to level 24.
-Grinded at Pokeathelon for a Water Stone.
-Evolved Staryu into Starmie.
-Trained Gastly to level 29 and taught it Shadow Ball. Gastly evolved immediately after like planned.
-Fought Morty.

Hardest battle yet. I discovered that Gengar can solo me if I'm not careful. Haunter took care of most of the lesser pawns. I sent Pidgeotto out on Gengar to stall and it was able to beat him down when Gengar was forced to Struggle.
