"The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page."

I don't read nearly as often as I would like to since I don't have access to a local libarary. Well, I could, but bothering the parents to take me is a little grating. I try to read at least one or two novels outside of school requirement every year, and I also read numerous non-fiction/documentaries in my spare time.

i read some books for school, but i only read books on my own time when i have nothing else to do. i like books, but sometimes i'm just too lazy to get into one.

I used to read a lot. Not so much anymore, I can never find the time. But I try to finish one or two books a month. Sometimes.

I don't know. Sometimes one book, sometime none. I am not really fond of reading. xD

I love reading. I would probably read approx. 50 novels each year xD I can be a bit of a bookworm. I also love writing, and books can inspire me.

I don't like reading novels. Last one I read was a class requirement, and that was back in 2003.

Now, if we expand the term "book" to include hotel directories, publications issued by the Internal Revenue Service, automobile overhaul manuals, and the operating instructions that come with electronic equipment, I do read quite a bit of those.

Reading is not something that I actually love doing so I don't. I only read manga from time to time and that's about it.

When I was ten and eleven, I used to read at least one book every night. Most of them were about the paranormal or crime thrillers. Some of them I didn't understand, but I reckon I read about 25% worth of the children's section of the library in a year and a half.

Now, I barely ever read any books unless my friends/parents rave about them to me. It's a shame, but I just can't get stuck into a good book like I used to be able to.

I don't read at all unless I have to. I do like looking at books with interesting covers.

Moving this to Other Entertainment, though.

I read a lot. It was what I did as a child, and it's still what I like to do now. I don't read as often as I used to. Mainly because I have other things I also enjoy doing. But I still read when I can.

As for how many books a year...that I can't really tell you. This year, however, I'm keeping track. I've already read thirty-four books, which is a bit better than a book a week. It helps that I'm reading some great books/authors this year.

I love books; I have a habit of collecting them. Since I live near to two book stores, most of my finances tend to diminish fast in my purchases of new books for my collection.
Can't tell for certain just how much I read a year, especially counting the myriad short stories and fanfiction I beta read, but I'd safely say somewhere from thirty-five to fifty books.

Hmmm I get new books every year but I can read a whole book within a few hours. I like to read alot, and then re-read alot. So can I say I've read loads of books per year? (Maybe 100 during a year.If You count re-reading them)

Since the title of this topic has nothing to do with reading I won't post about reading, I'll post about the actual suggested subject: I'm not comfortable traveling and have no plans to ever leave the bi-county area.

Sometimes I'm willing to have day-trips to San Francisco or to leave the state to visit family, but those are few-and-far-between. Life is simply too amazing right where I am. I have no delusions of a greater world, as living is wherever you are, not wherever you aren't.

I usually try and read a book a week. But it never, ever happens when I'm at university. Does during the holidays though :)

Books in general? Rarely. I'm usually busy creating my own stuff to be indulging in someone else's, but when I'm bored in class I'll read a novel.
