6th Gen The X/Y Rumors Thread!

Yeah, but those gym leaders didn't gain them until after their battles with Ash... unless the battle is a later battle.

I hope that Helioptile has an evolution so if Clemont has one he can use it as his signature Pokémon throughout the game. Hopefully they'll be rematches...

I don't think we'll be able to have any gym rematches until we're done with the league. If we do, then it will just make it too easy for us to train our Pokémon. d: Also, we haven't had any dark gym leaders in any of the games before, so I think we finally need to have a dark-type gym this gen. We need a steel gym as well, because we haven't had any steel-type gyms since generation four, which was a very long time ago.

Hopefully we will have a Dark type gym and it would be great to have it kind of late. But I wonder if we will have a different gym like the first one in Black and White.

I loved the PWT. It satisfied my desire for Gym Leader Rematches, while allowing me to fight on an even playing field (lv50). That way, not only do I get to challenge Blaine, He can use use a Magmotar, AND he is even more challenging because I only have thee pokemon AND we are all at the same Level.

PWT also allowed you to choose WHO you battle and HOW you Battle (Doule, Rotation, etc.) individually - Customizing each encounter!

Is there any rumors about Clemont being what type specialist? Because if summarized what has been stated in anime he will most likely have Bunnelby at least and propably Dedenne.

Bunnelby is Normal-type and Dedenne in the other hand is Electric/Fairy-typed. It was earlier speculated that Clemont would be either Steel or Electric because he has those Aipom Arm robots and the overall look of his Gym supports this. At this point it would be more likely he'll be Electric-type user because of Dedenne and since Bunnebly doesn't really look like a Pokémon that would turn out to be Normal/Steel-typed. :P

Hey maybe this gen Gym Leaders will not be completely mono type. It would be cool if most gym leaders had one pokemon not related to their Gym's typing.

First Gym seems to have 2 Bug types that you have to fight. One is rumored to be Vivillon and the other Spewpa or Scatterbug. She is said to be typed so she specializes in that type. Easy to assume that they won't be breaking that tradition this go round.

I hope there will be gym leader rematches too. It'd be kinda silly not to include that. .-. I'm also fully expecting there to be a fairy-gym this time around. And let's make it either the 7th or 8th gym, instead of dragon which it usually is, if I'm correct.

Based on the current rumor that's had the most publicity, Clemont should be a Fairy Type Gym Leader. I think they said the second was the Fairy Gym at least. Though there are a lot of things that seem to point towards him being an electric type gym leader.

As for Anime connection...it has NOTHING to do with his type. Anime never follows proper game mechanics. Iris had 2 Dragons despite being a Dragon Gym leader in the game. Cilan had 1 Grass type, 1 Electric/Ground type, and 1 Rock/Bug type. The two latter Pokemon do not appear in his updated teams in B2W2. Misty, Brock...they always broke their game counterpart standards. So what they have in the anime doesn't reflect what they are in the games.

So Clemont based on appearence, can be an electric type gym leader or based on rumor he's the fairy typed gym leader.

Not sure if fake?

it does not have the telltale signs of photoshop so if its fake it seems really convincing. And I have seen many actual fakes before. Maybe its some gameshop employee from Italy has the game already?
Spoiler:

The heck is that thing? I do not think they would make a pokemon like that honestly. It could go the wrong way with many people, especially after what happened to Jynx. I think it is fake.

Serebi or any other fansites have not even mentioned it which is another sign of it being fake.

That can't be real, I just don't think Game Freak would design a Pokémon like that. Not to mention the games are exactly three weeks away from being released, I doubt any copies have began circulating just yet.

Well there was a board at /vp/ called "My Dad Works at Nintendo" regarding a guy showing images of the box and cartridge of the game, but I have my doubts because those images were old.

Regarding the image itself, it looks nothing like an animal, plant, nor inanimate object irl at all, which means, if this image turns out to be true, it could be based on a myth/legend.

It looks like Diantha and a golliwog had a baby together.

It's very odd, If it is real I'll probably learn to accept it....

Edit: You know I have this funny feeling it might end up being real, it seems like the kind of unbelievable but actually true leak that could pop up around now.

I see, I didn't know that. Well we will have to wait to see what is up with that Bunelbly in Clemont's team.

Well, they did design Grimer, Voltorb, Tangela, Jynx, Honedge, Marshtomp, all the Rotom forms... A lof of pokémon with questionable pokémon-ness. Don't debate my examples here, btw, they are just my personal opinion :p At this point, I'm not really surprised by any new pokémon design GameFreak spews out.

Looks fake to me, the design just doesn't have any identity (all over the place). Also the fact that the uploader only took one picture (facing forward btw) is suspicious, if I was gonna leak a pokemon while in battle I would show many angles. Having only one angle tells me that the fake picture took a long time to make it look believable and even then it did not look that great.

The thing that bother me about this pokemon is that for no reason it is eyes are going up, where all the pokemons we saw till now facing and looking at the camera or the foe's pokemon.
