The Young Jedi Knights RP: Jedi Academy

Nat saw Yukiko and sat down. She couldn't force herself to eat. Strangely enough, she began to wonder who was taking care of Blaze. Blaze was the family Phalp. (A dog like creature with large ears that allow it to fly.)

She shook herself mentally. Blaze should be the least of her worries. She looked at Yukiko and then fiddled with her robes. She couldn't bring herself to speak. She took a deap breath, or what she could call a deep breath. Perhaps Yukiko should know....

"Yukiko? Do you know what the war has done to me?" she asked quietly.... tenatively.

Yukiko snapped her head up at the sound of Nat's voice. She carried an expression of mild suprise when Nat asked her the question. Slowly, she shook her head in a negative reply.

"I have no idea," she said solemnly, "but I know it must be terrible. War is the result of hate, one emotion, one feeling, but it will affect everyone differently. I have seen it first hand, and I never wish to see it again. I'm having second thoughts, Nat..."

She looked at her friend, a genuine fear showing in her eyes. She hoped Nat couldn't see her expression behind her large white hood.

"But you are my friend," she continued. "And I will do anything for the sake of such a strong bond. I will go to war for you and your family...to save you and your family...if it comes down to that."

She took a bite of her vegetables, and sipped some water, feeling uneasy about the situation, and hoping Nat wouldn't ask her what she had meant about seeing war's effects "first hand."

Nat repected Yukiko's fear of war, and was sure she could trust Yukiko with the following secret:

"Yukiko, the war has done more to me than take my family. There is a chemical in the atmosphere from a new warfare one side had found. Now, I don't even know which. But, I was born as the warfare hit. I was a premature baby, and already had many problems. The chemical desroyed my lungs, literally eating away at them. Today, I have no lungs.... no sense of acutual breathing...."

She touched her neck and continued. "The doctors on my planet are highly advanced... They have to be... They formed this substance that takes pure ozygen from the air and forces it into my blood stream. It now covers my neck....

"The war is a terrible thing Yukiko. You know this, I know this. We have to stop it... We must...."

OOC: 0_0. Look at skye's profile, see anything different under "senior member"?

IC: I had appeared again, late for the first time since activation. "Yes, any war is bad, but from what I know of the war on nimbus, it is far worse than most. It must be stopped."

"But are we prepared enough to stop it?" Yukiko demanded, her voice growing more firm with each word. "If we die there without success, we'll have accomplished nothing for them!"

Yukiko slammed her fist down on the table, a movement of frustration. She was suprised at herself. Usually, she had fantastic control over her emotions. A few other students were suprised as well, giving her crude glances. She bowed her head, feeling heat creep to her face.

"If I felt more confident in my own abilities..." Yukiko said softly, her red eyes blazing. "I'd be ready to go in a heartbeat. But I don't know what good I would do."

OOC: Shineyelectrode, you're so mean! :P

OOC: Skye! I never knew!! O_o; EHehehe!

IC: "Have you two thought of anything? My plans are more foolish each time I form a new one...." Nat asked. It was odd. She had just revealed her darkest secret, and Yukiko didn't seem to notice ore care. Perhaps this was a blessing.... or perhaps not.

Skye said:

OOC: Someone did that to me, just keeping the tradition going, or I would have spared you.

"What good will it do them if we do not go?" I asked. It was simple logic, though the reasons for this were as illogical as I could fathom.

Yukiko sighed in defeat. She looked over at her friends, and pulled back her hood. Her bright red eyes looked at both of them deeply, with an understanding too great for them to even fathom. She took a deep breath, understanding Nat's pain, feeling her need to go help.

"I'll go with you," she said softly. "I've been thinking about how to all day. CB-14, is there anything in your programming that can disguise our identity, so that they cannot feel our presence very well through the Force?"

"We'll have no weapons..." Nat pointed out, defeat creeping into her soul. This was not going to be easy. Nothing ever was, she reminded herself. She would have to frust her friends.

OOC: How does one "frust"? LOL

IC: "Well, if we're going to do this..." Yukiko told them, feeling anticipation rising in her stomach. "We have to do it today. Who knows how long it will be until another ship is sent out...if another is sent at all...?"

She pushed her plate away, unable to eat another bite. she closed her large, red eyes, and ran her fingers through her head of white hair. Letting out another deep breath, she opened her eyes sharply, and looked at Nat at CB-14.

"We should meet after our last class," she said. "Near the hangar bay. We can decide how to get on the ship from there."

OOC: ARG!! I meant "trust"!! I really did!!

IC: Nat quietly excused herself. She wanted to skip her afternoon classes, but she knew Master Skywalker would know what she was up to. She also wanted to see JB again before she left to meet her nearly certain death. She wasn't sure why, but it seemed important to her, and she was never one to deny her instincts.

Again, searing pain crossed her back. They were now beating her mother. With each step, Nat fought back the urge to scream or cry. She had to get to her next class, and that was all there was to it.

She tried to ease the pain. She focused her mind on something else, and the first thing that came to mind was dance. She thought of every move, every possible combination to keep her mind away from the pain that was crossing her back.

To her suprise it dulled considerably. She wasn't sure if it was because they had stopped or if it was something she managed to do herself. Whatever it was, it got her to her next class......

Yukiko finished out her last two classes with a lot of success. She was very convincing to her teachers and peers that she was not in the least distracted. When they were over at last, she ran to the hanger bay, a small duffle bag over her shoulder. It contained some food rations, and some changes of clothes. She wore as much as she could, stuffing things into her pockets as well.

She hid in a small niche in the wall, her eyes scanning for her friends, as well as any signs of trouble.

OOC: Oh man, you guys...this is gonna be awesome!!

Nat finished her classes and rushed to the bay. Her backpack slapped against her still raw back, but she hardly noticed. She saw Yukiko and rushed over to her.

"Are you ready?" she asked tenativly. "Where's CB-14?" She was nervous now. What if they couldn't pull this off? It was really risky, and she knew it.

OOC: It's okay. But Skye, Teyra had fainted, so...
Teyra awoke on the grass, with her eyes glistening, moist with tears.
"I'm... Nobody.... No one came-"
"I can help you with that." A strange voice called from the shadows.

Her eyes widened; she was truely puzzled beyond belief.
"Who's there?" She called, standing up, and dug at her eyes, looking at the tall trees around her.

"I can help you." The voice repeated in the same calm tone.
The girl spun around again, and again, but she couldn't quite sense the being...

"Child. Child." It taunted her again, as she collapsed again, looking around.

Something flickered in Yukiko's mind. She flinched, as if she had been struck.

"Stay here until CB-14 gets here. I'll be right back," she told Nat quickly, and disappeared.

Running down the hallway, she sensed someone was in danger...Teyra? She rushed outside to find her collapsed on the grass. She looked scared, distracted, like she had seen a ghost.

"Teyra!" Yukiko called, running over to her. "What's going on? What happened?"

OOC: Sorry about that ScarletSkye...I guess I need to work on my reading skills. :P

OOC: Eh, it's okay. XD
IC: Teyra looked up at Yukiko, who had appeared, but not before hearing a murmer from the voice, "Soon, child...".
When Yukiko asked her a question, she answered in a small, short, yet truthfull way; "I don't know...".
The girl placed a hand on the grass, then pulled herself up, still looking at the eerie shadows were the unknown voice had rang out.

Yukiko realized that by showing up to Teyra this afternoon, she was risking getting caught sneaking on the ship headed for Nimbus. Worriedly, she hushed her voice to a whisper, and looked at Teyra nervously.

"I've got to tell you something, and ask you a favor," she said darkly, whispering. "Nat's planet is in awful danger. There's a war going on, and her parents have been captured. Master Skywalker is sending some advanced Jedi on a ship this evening to help the planet get peace, but Nat really needs to go. We have to sneak on, since we aren't allowed. Please, I'm asking you to come along...we need all the help we can get!"

Yukiko looked around suspiciously, worried that someone else may have heard, but the grounds were deserted.

Teyra listened intently, before replying in a quiet tone of her own, "Hmm... Yes, I will come."
Her voice was calm, serene, and steady, although she felt a bit nervous inside herself, but she hid that.
"Let's go." She said, her gaze resting apon the other girl's.
Teyra knew that she must- After all, this is a person's parents... That could- And probably are- suffering. Though I have never seen my own...

Yukiko nodded solemnly at Teyra's answer, and led her to the hanger bay, where the ship was waiting its passengers. She found Nat, and curled up in the niche in the wall with her, waiting for CB-14 to get there.

"I hope he shows up soon..." Yukiko said softly, watching the ship with longing eyes. "We're counting on him...without him, we can't get on the ship..."
