The Young Jedi Knights RP: Jedi Academy

"Who?" Teyra asked, in her usal calm and collected voice, eying the ship.
She sat down in a medative position, although not daring to close her eyes.
The Jedi sighed as she leaned her head against the wall- She knew they were going to have quite a adventure... Quite a adventure indeed...

"I'm here." I said, stepping out from the shadows, at which Yukiko jumped slightly. "I apologize, my intent was not to startle you. Are you ready?"

OOC: Once again, sorry for the short posts, I have a crapload of work to do, and I should be doing it now. But I needed to make sure you guys knew I wasn't dead yet, I just hope I'm not found using the internet here.

Yukiko nodded her head, her white hood once again hiding her expression. Beneath the hood, she gritted her teeth, feeling anxious, a feeling she did not like.

"They've just finished loading the ship. It looks like they're taking a break now," she said to the others. "We could get in the cargo hold if we hurry."

She shouldered her bag, and looked in all directions. The coast was clear. They could make it if they left now.

Nat rose swiftly and broke into an all out dash for the ship. She dodged behind trees and anything else to hide herself, in case someone was watching.

She finally reached the ship, and crouched in the shadows. She motioned for the others to come. They had to do it now, before the loaders came back.

OOC: Nat didn't wait to have her presence hidden bacause the loaders aren't Jedi. They were just plain humans. Right? Boy, i hope so. I'll change my post if necessary.

OOC: Yep...just loaders, so no worries! :)

IC: Yukiko clutched her bag close to her, so that it made no noise as she swiftly followed Nat to the ship. The cargo hatch was still open, and it was packed with all the things the Jedi would need for their voyage. Yukiko noticed no other packages in the vicinity that would need loading, so she clambered onto the ship.

"Hurry!" she hissed to the others.

Teyra nodded, and then swiftly set out to Nat and Yukiko.
Once in there, she slipped behind a rather large looking machine, and crouched there, waiting for the other to join the three girls...
She sat in a quiet position, looking around curiously at the many items, also nervously awaiting the other Jedi and loaders...

I evaluated the situation, the loaders were moving in a pattern, leaving a window of several seconds in which I could board the ship without being seen. I began timing it, and as soon as the oportunity came, I leapt forward, dashing across in a straight line to the ship, making almost no noise as I reached it and climbed in.

Since they were all safe inside the cargo hold, Yukiko let out the breath she had been holding. Her heart was beating fast in anticipation, and she tried her best to stay calm. Glancing over at her friends, she started to climb over crates and boxes of things, trying to make as little noise as possible. She found a comfortable spot to sit: a pile of spare blankets, and spread them around for everyone else.

The loaders had gone to fetch the Jedi, and Yukiko placed her duffle bag behind her head as she lay on the blanket, her robes draping lazily around her small frame. She pulled back her hood. The sound of footsteps could be heard on the deck above. She looked over at CB-14 as the hatch to the cargo hold closed tightly, sealing them in.

"Have you begun to run that program to mask our Force presences?" she asked quietly, settling into her blanket sleepily.

"The program is running at full effeciency." I said. "The chance of us being detected through the force are minimal, at most."

OOC: Sorry, I can't seem to be able to think straight ever since people started "pinking out"

Nat drew a spare blanket around her. She wasn't cold, but she wanted to envelope herself in something. The blanket offered no more security than her snow white robes. She sighed and looked around. This was going to be a loooooooooong trip. And not a very comfortable one, as things looked.

Yukiko curled up in her blankets, trying to ease herself into a meditative state, at best. She would have liked to just sleep the days away, but knew that she had to be alert for any Jedi coming in for their cargo.

Suddenly, the ship gave a great lurch, and the engines began to fire up. Yukiko looked around her as if she had just woke from a nightmare, but everything was okay. The ship was only taking off. She settled back into her covers, but lay awake, wondering...thinking...

"Nat," she said softly, looking over at her. She knew Nat must be going through some terrible pain, more than she realized, more than she could ever know. Despite her inability to understand Nat's physical connection to her parents and their fate, Yukiko could sympathize with her emotional state. Yukiko's lips curved into a slow smile, a drowsy smile. "It'll be all right."

She turned over onto her back, preparing herself for a very long journey indeed. Suddenly, a thought came to her. She looked over at CB-14.

"Is your power supply going to be sufficient? Don't you need to charge up once in a while or anything?" she asked.

I looked over to her and said, "My internal charger is enough to keep me functioning at maximum power levels, however, if there is to be any additional and activity, such as combat or travel by foot, my internal charger will not be able to fully compensate, and eventualy I will need to find a power source, should we find ourselves under those circumstaces."

Yukiko nodded, and turned on her side, trying to find a place that was at least remotely comfortable. She looked over at Teyra, hoping that she was all right. They would all be okay, Yukiko was sure of it. They were strong on their own, but they were stronger together.

"I suppose..." she said thoughtfully with a yawn. "We should probably sleep for most of the trip. We'll make a lot less noise that way. We should probably alternate keeping watch though. What do you guys think?"

OOC: Since we won't be seeing a whole lot of action with our characters chilling out in the cargo hold, I'll get time to pass quickly in the next few posts. Okay with everyone? :)

Nat leaned back and sighed, well, as best one can without any lungs. She huddled in the blanket and ofered to take the 1st watch. She knew she wouldn't be doing much sleeping anyways.

Nat watched her companions fall asleep. She didn't understand why they had come along. It was her parents after all. She had really never understood the concept of friendship.... as she grew up around such hate.

Her eyes began to droop, and she shook herself to remain awake.

Yukiko shifted in her sleep, feeling uneasy. She opened her large red eyes, and looked over at Nat, who seemed to have a hard time sleeping. Tossing off her blankets, Yukiko sat up, and crawled over to where Nat lay.

"Hey," she said softly. "Why don't you take a nap, and I'll keep watch for a while, okay? Just don't scream or anything...we don't want to be discovered."

She chuckled lightly, and pulled some rations out of he bag.

"Hungry?" she asked.

Nat shook her head, not trusting her voice. She touched her throat lightly, and decided to speak.

"I'm sorry, Yukiko. I've been brooding...." she paused. "You didn't have to come you know. They aren't your parents after all...."

"Well, this is certainly something a first year Jedi can't handle on their own," Yukiko chuckled, patting Nat's shoulder. She smiled despite herself and the situation. "Besides, I know that if my parents had been the ones in trouble, you'd do the same for me, or anyone else for that matter. Now get some sleep. You look tired. I can keep watch for a while. I'll wake up Teyra or CB-14 for the next watch."

She smiled assuringly at Nat, a great hope rising in her. Together they would be fine.

Nat smiled, perhaps this friendship thing was starting to grow on her. She said, "Thank you, Yukiko. You ahve no idea what that means to me."

She crept to a new spot and huddled underneath her blanket. She was asleep sooner than she expected to be.

Her dreams were riddled with inner deamons. She saw her parents being imprisoned and starved. Her stomach twisted with her parents' hunger pains. She tossed and turned, the dream becoming more and more livid.

Suddenly, there was a voice inside her head. Natalie. it said. Your parents are as good as dead. Why do you come to this place? The Dark Side is going to destroy your planet and there's nothing you can do to stop it.

Yes, I see you in the Jedi's ship.
the dark, raspy voice continued. You're friends presence hider cannot fool me, the Dark Lord! You're a right little stow away. Perhaps I have a place for you after all.....

Nat bolted upright, drenched in a cold sweat.

A bolt on the door of the cargo hold came unfastened. Footsteps could be heard from outside. Yukiko gasped, and dove under her blankets.

Master Skywalker entered the room, and spotted the trim of Yukiko's robes from under the blankets. She could not see his kind smile, but she knew he was there. She felt no anger from him, only disappointment.

"Teyra, CB-14, Nat...Yukiko..." he said calmly. "I can see you. Come on out."

Yukiko crawled out from under her blankets, keeping her hood up, though she knew that Master Skywalker could sense how she was feeling. Nearly shaking wth guilt and fear, she managed to studder out the following words:

"P-please, Master Skywalker," she pleaded. "Don't be...don't be angry. We didn't want to disobey your orders..."

"But you made a concious choice to do so," Master Skywalker said, and Yukiko bowed her head.

"Don't...send us back...please..." she pleaded once more, tears streaming down her face.

"I couldn't even if I wanted to. Time is short, and we can't turn back now. I have no choice," he told them all. "Come with me quickly."

Yukiko looked back at her friends worriedly, having no idea what Master Skywalker was to do. She rose to her feet shakily, and followed him out of the cargo hold.

Nat followed, her expresion emotionless. Should she tell Master Skywalker about her dream? Perhaps later, she didn't want to worry her friends.

She supposed Master Skywalker would catch them eventually. She only hoped he wouldn't try to stop her. There was nothing her could do. She would find a way around it.
