    Next to Ash & Pikachu which trainer do you feel had the closest bond, and with what Pokémon? Brock & Croagunk comes to mind for this question for me because of how much those two cared for one another!
     
    Misty and Togepi. As for a one-off/non-regular character, AJ and Sandshrew from the "Path to the Pokemon League" definitely were closely bonded.
     
    Dawn and Piplup had a similar close bond as that of Ash and Pikachu. I can see it being the one Pokemon she'd never take out of her team or evolve.
