Gardenia stands out to me more due to having a Roserade in the second gym.

Do you like pokemon with simplistic designs or more ambitious designs?

Both can work imo, and I'm not sure how to judge a mon as having a simple or ambitious design lol
Like, are Mega's ambitious in design? because I did not like most of those. There are ofc exceptions, like Mega Kangaskhan, which I think is brilliant.

If Ambitious design is like standout-ish/unique looking like say Camerupt (I can't think of any other camels with volcano's on their back lol), then I suppose I'd go with ambitious.
Yet at the same time even if it's a simple design, if it's a design of something I really like (I don't think there are any cat mons I dislike for example), then I will like it too.
Soooo.... ahm. Idk, I'll stick with ambitious for now xD

I honestly don't like either of the Alola protagonists much, but I guess I will go with the Sun and Moon designs becauase I generally prefer simpler.

Fantina! I may be a little biased because Gen 4 is my favourite and I grew up with it, but I just think she looks larger than life in that amazing outfit!

Nugget. Both serve no practical purpose other than to sell them, the former since I can't find the rich billionaire guy and because it is easy to sell at your local Pokemart who even takes your dust to sell.

To respond to the above, I pick Mewtwo although that's a very tough choice.

Would you rather train a pokemon that becomes weaker as the story progresses, or one that starts weak and becomes powerful at the end?
 
I'll take the one that starts weak.
Even though I'm not a fan of grinding, any mon can shine if you grind 😊
