Touhou Mafia [Game Over]

Good morning sunshines!
How are you on this sunny day?

Lame jokes apart, I heard y'all hate random d1 lynches, so I came up with a plan to avoid that.

We can all vote for a different person, so everyone will have 1 vote at the end of the day! Well, yes, Lost will still have to random lynch someone, but take a look at this :

Remilia Scarlet
Mistress of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, Remilia Scarlet is a 500 year old vampire that claims to be the descendent of the world's most infamous vampire Count Dracula. Her motives are a mystery.
Curse of Vlad Tepes - A passive ability, attacking Remilia is a dangerous thing! Someone that votes to either lynch her or targets her with a kill-action may find themselves cursed and dying the next day!
Scarlet Gensokyo - Remilia has the ability to change the result of a lynch that is not against herself.

This means that there is a chance the person voting to lynch Remilia will get killed, and Reimu can cast her Evil-Sealing spell on the person the dead one voted.
Oh, and this essentially prevents Remilia's other skill as well!
(Yes, there is a chance the randomly lynched will be the one who voted Remilia, or the passive might not take effect, but every plan has its flaws really.)

Well, there's also Hong Meiling, who can protect someone once per night. So, the person who attacks Remilia could either be dead by morning, dying by morning, or completely unharmed. Oh well, I guess this is what Mafia's all about, taking chances!

Sure, why not! It's worth a shot.

As per usual, I'm just confused and have nothing to contribute to the conversation on Day 1. Although I do agree that Superjolt may have been chosen as guinea pig because he is a good player. I think I'll wait for a bit before posting my random lynch.

This plan sounds good to me.

Also, another point to note: I'm not entirely sure how fairies work in Touhou but judging from their description, it looks like they can regenerate after they die. While it is a good thing that the mafia struck the third party instead of town, we aren't permanently down one third party member. Superjolt will be back, although I don't know how long that takes in terms of phases, or how many times the fairies can revive themselves. Aside from the whole revival thing, this looks like a pretty good D1 situation. No townies are dead, and we already know the identity of one non-townie.

[kill] NightKrow, on board with this plan!

3 pages suddenly eek. Johnny, I think everyone is assuming Superjolt will be back by tomorrow haha.

Whoa guys, we've still got like 40 hours on this day phase. I just proposed a plan, so we can talk about it, and discuss the pros and cons, not so you can all jump to it.
Is this because the first who voted know who Remilia is, and don't want to be left with voting her and getting themselves killed?

I think that whole Fairies being back from the dead is just flavour text.

I agree with this. Third party being perma reincarnated while having to outnumbered the other factions as their win con sounds dumb and op af.

no one has touched him right? RIGHT?

Or new to mafia and...sort of impatient, haha.

rumia did

/me runs away

What's this supposed to mean?

Patience is important. We have plenty of discussion time. I don't really like the idea of random voting when discussion is our most powerful tool. You never know what we can accomplish within those extra 36ish hours.

The problem I have with everyone random voting one single person is that the death will be less random than the opinions of everyone. Basically speaking, if we let a random person die, we cannot learn as much from it as per say if we all randomly selected someone instead. No matter how much we want to say "it's random bro" you have to admit, you put bias into your vote, such as not voting yourself or someone you know/think is your ally, this could be valuable information.

Now, if we all agree on a lynch target, we'd obviously have to put logic behind it. That logic will help us find the nonhumans.

Finally, a piece of advice. Be on the lookout for people who are focusing only on one faction. Nonhumans will try to focus on the other nonhuman aligned faction to improve their credibility without hurting themselves. Not only that, but the less we talk about the one faction, the more we're letting them slide away. By continuously talking about them both, we're forcing their members to somehow defend or push suspicions elsewhere.

Alex proposes a plan where we all coordinate our votes and everyone's totally chill with it. I proposed a plan where we all coordinated all our votes and I got lynched for it faster than I could blink. Why? Because everyone but me remembered GAU, where everyone tried to coordinate their votes and it was a complete disaster. So...

Apples and Oranges though. GAU was admittedly a different situation than this one. We might actually hit on Remilla if we do it. :3

Besides it does say there's a chance. Idk the percentages or anything but it could be a common probability percentage. So by spreading the votes we have a higher chance of striking it and invoking it; thus unmasking them. :3

Curse of Vlad Tepes - A passive ability, attacking Remilia is a dangerous thing! Someone that votes to either lynch her or targets her with a kill-action may find themselves cursed and dying the next day!

When you think about the wording, it does say 'may', and does not imply any other activation conditions needing to be true other than targeting her.

[Kill] Bardothren just so we can cover you too. At least we can make sure that anyone not causing a curse is considered at least possibly safe. That's of course ignoring the other threats; which we should not; but we can focus on those in a later phase when we don't fear being cursed.

I'm just going to say this right now, I will not allow RNG to make decisions for me. I will be voting for who I think is not human. If all of you wish to do so, then be my guess. But it's rather idiotic to leave it to RNG.

Technically, this isn't RNG, we're just all lynching each other to get some leads. Maybe you don't like it because you're the person we're trying to find...
