Trade Corner Suggestion Thread

-shrug- Breeding shops...good question there. Most threads that breed tend to have other stuff but the threads that purely focus on breeding... I think they should be left alone, because there will always be someone that needs a regular ol' something or other and don't have much to offer. But they'd better have a wide variety of pokemon they can breed. <.<
 
Odd that you disagree with infracting people for intentionally disobeying the rules over and over when people get infracted for alot less, i.e. not posting 25 letters in posts.

OMG YES!!!! It should be a rule for you to post all IV's!!!!!! Not only will it tell you if the poks is hacked or not (ie some Iv combinations for legendaries are illegal, which means there hacked) And on smogon this is a rule. I know this isnt Smogon but you should still have to list all IV's!!!! I do!

It'll be better just to have it as a suggestion ^-^

Of course that could cause an issue with people opening up breeding shops that really are worthless and junk for spam, so perhaps there should be some guidelines? Any ideas?

Everyone here is capable of using an IV Calculator though... All you do is enter the pokemons stats/level nature and it tells you the IV's, if someone says they cant do it there just being lazy. And if no-one knows of any IV Calculators theres Metal Kid's, Psypokes but dont use Seribii's as it isnt always accurate :) Id provide links but i dont have enough posts

Ev'd Pokemon aren't the same though. If you don't properly plug in the exact Ev's, the Iv's will be completely wrong. People all the time have "Ev'd Pokemon" but do not have the Iv's, so it won't be accurate.

Well yea obviously that just means keep track of te EV's :/ And if they dont know the exact EV's then theres always EV Reducing Berries
 
We need a giveaway section.Otherwise,Ursula,etc. have to merge them with the QTT.

that is a good point and please for the sake of Arceus can me make a rule that they atleast post the nature? im so sick of seeing threads that say "hi ima shiny trader and just because my pokes are shiny i dont have to post my pokes nature. jeez they already dont post (OT), IVs, and other need to know stuff but can they atleast do that?

Your exactly right they act like oh its a shiny or event so they dont put natures/ IV's or anything.... Thats kind of important information

lol its very important info! just earlier this morning arcta tried to trade me a shiny mew hasty. everything was nice until i asked for the IVs. he said they were flawless. and thats when i knew it was hacked because hes obviously not an RNGer since he didnt even list the IVs in the 1st place also he didnt state what are where he got the mew from or what event. he later found out it indeed is a hack since it had random EVs put in every stat.

now after hearing that story "and believe me theres alot more like it" dont you think that some of these trade threads should be corrected? IVs are needed and so are natures. it saves time and you MODs will be able to weed out the hackers alot quicker and easier.

Yes right again.... IV's are very important it will tell you if some legend pokemon are hacked because some IV Combinations for legendary pokes are illegal making them hacked... Also just like the Mew incident i doubt anyone here is gunna be RNG Abusing a Flawless Shiny Mew -__-
 
I don't agree with making IV's mandatory for several reasons. First and foremost, some people can't grasp the calcs, as stupid as that sounds, but hey, we've all seen what sort of noobs come in trading here. Secondly, not everybody keeps record of the IV's and EV's of every Pokemon they train and over a long period of time they are forgotten. This sucks for a lot of traders as this just isn't good enough, but there are traders out there who don't care about IV's, and there's no reason that they should not be able to make a deal for the POkemon because a rule here stops the thread owner from posting it.

However, I do agree that for all ready-bred Pokemon posted such as shinies and events, natures should be mandatory. I know from my own experiences that if I head into a trade thread and the natures aren't posted I automatically leave because the hassle of finding out is, well, a hassle, and I can only assume that is the same for others. And in the case of natures, there is no excuse not to post the, after all, if you are able to type you are able to read.

No offense but the bolded part makes no sense.... As you said if they can type they can read and thats all you basically need to do to use a IV Calculator... All you do is type the information in thats right infront of you, i dont mean to be rude by saying this but everyone here is capable of using one, they all can read and apparently all have the internet ... And as for EV's as i said before there is always EV Reducing Berries, and im oretty sure theres an EV Calculator somewhere...
 
I would suggest maybe adding one or two more mods for this thread. The whole Chimchar_Killa thing today when neither Ursula or Horizon were around (no offense) I think supports this idea.

And lets not forget three cheers to Aoriaku for coming to our rescue against Chimchar_Killa!!!!

Indeed. More mods would be good. (I srsly hope I don't get infractions from spamming that :O) Also maybe make the threads be approved before they are able to be seen. (this would probably work)

Part of the problem is those who post and provoke the rule breaker, thus causing flame wars and whatnot. There is a difference between saying "use the Quick trade" via a VM/PM (not in a post!) than calling someone a moron for not using the sticky.

Report via (image no longer exists) and ignore the post until it is moved to the sticky.

Stop responding to rule breaking threads.

Honestly Aljam, I wish everyone was punished for responding to that thread. Be mature and a role model to other traders.

If that behavior continues, I'll blow my head off.

With the number of threads I don't think approval would be a good idea simply because of the sheer number of approvals that would take. And then there would be those who would ignore that rule and just go ahead. I think that just causes uneccesary issues.

And Twilight_Blade brings up an excellent point- if you ignore people and just report everyone is much happier (=

also i agree for putting natures on too
also i like the idea of having to approve threads but it could be a hassle for the mods
