Gotta say, the Pokemon you gave me fit me incredibly well! Log 1

Time to begin with grabbing my starter of Charmander and naming it Chardious to begin my quest... For science! I will make you proud, Giovanni. I head straight to the Poke mart to grab some Poke balls to get started on the missions sent to me by the boss such as capture the Pikachu from Viridian Forest which is much easier than Jessie and James make it out to be and conquer Pewter City by beating Brock who appears to own this town. So my team at the moment of this log 1 is Chardious the Charmander and that's it as I sent the Pikachu straight to the PC for collection.

I make it through all the non stop trainers to gather my two other partners in crime: Batman the Zubat and Mr. Nido the Nidoran-Male, as I do what the other grunts failed to do and grab the Dome fossil! Then I shred ground in the Cerulean Gym where Misty reigns over Cerulean City and get the Cascade badge. To the next objective... My team as of this Log update is: Chardious the Charmeleon with the moves: Ember, Metal claw, Scratch, and Smokescreen. Mr. Nido the Nidoking with the moves: Horn Attack, Double kick, Thrash, and Poison sting. Batman the Golbat with the moves Wing attack, Bite, Leech life, and Astonish.

I made it to Vermillion City where the big show of a ship is at, the S. S. Anne! Ran right through it as I nabbed HM Cut and got out of there! I hurry to Vermillion gym as the boss can't be kept waiting, beating up Lt. Surge and showing him why the war never changes. The team for this Log update is Chardious the Charmeleon with the moves Ember, Metal Claw, Brick break, and Smoke screen. I successfully made it to Route 10 where my next mission is, to capture a Voltorb and so I do in order to ship it to the PC. I take a long detour through Rock tunnel where nothing of value really happens besides gathering things to sell for a secret mission later. Got to Celadon City to sell all my misc. junk I gathered in order to scrooge enough money to the casino for the elusive Porygon! This Pokemon is not for a secret mission for the boss, but rather for myself to keep as a trophy. After quite literally beating up every single Trainer in the area to get even more money and with some gambling later, I gathered up just enough money to buy the Porygon... At the cost of literally every single cent I owned, I'm going to really need to get my act together. I report back to Giovanni and he issues me more missions to do in my future and also to stop shaking down his own members for money. I just take my missions and Silph Scope and go, clearly having no promises with that. Afterwards the Celadon Gym was a complete joke because of Chardious the now Charizard and I'm off to collect myself from being poor now. My team as of this Log update is Chardious the Charizard with the moves Flamethrower, Wing attack, Brick break, and Smoke screen. Mr. Nido the Nidoking with the moves Dig, Horn attack, Water pulse, and Double kick. Batman the Golbat with the moves Wing attack, Bite, Giga drain, and Confuse ray.

Alright! With the move Surf in hand, I can really start making progress with the missions! Starting with heading to Cinnabar Island to restore my Dome fossil into the glorious Kabuto of old for the collect of PC drop offs and I walk into the mansion to grab the sacred Grimer that's presumably for perfume of some odd kind and Dittos for experiments... For my own time. I also got the key to Cinnabar Gym but that's for later, I then fly to Saffron City to go have fun marveling at all the tech in Silph Co. that will hopefully not DC from the mayhem being had there by the boss. Reported more of my missions as complete as I go to Saffron Gym to burn more peoples with Chardious and so I do, got a badge too of the Marsh variety. Flew to the Power plant where Magnemites live and captured one for the sacred missions of yes. My team is Batman the Golbat with the moves Shadow ball, Wing attack, Giga drain, and Confuse ray. Mr. Nido the Nidoking with the moves Dig, Surf, Ice beam, and Thunderbolt. (Finally got the moneys!) and Chardious the Charizard with the moves Flamethrower, Fly, Brick break and Strength.

With the key pre-emptively obtained by me earlier, I can simply bull charge Cinnabar Gym with Nidoking and spam Surf and Dig on his Pokemon and there is nothing he can do about it! Now I have the volcano badge, I can gleefully tell Bill no to his invitation and move on! This one's very short as there's not much here. My team is Batman the Golbat with the moves Shadow ball, Wing attack, Giga drain, and Confuse ray. Mr. Nido the Nidoking with the moves Dig, Surf, Ice beam, and Thunderbolt. This is it, time to conquer Viridian Gym! I march in there and head to Giovanni where he's been waiting for me, he goes on about how I'm betraying him here by beating up what little forces he has left and challenges me to a last stand! I... Sadly beat him due to my Nidoking's insane coverage and he just gets very very sad, presumably leaving me to my own devices now. I got all 8 badges so now it's time to storm Victory road and Pokemon League! First up is Lorelei who is easily the toughest for my team for clear reasons, but thankfully Nidoking and Golbat saved me here. Bruno get's ruined by Golbat. Agatha just gets burnt to a crisp by Charizard. Lance gets Ice beam'd by my Nidoking, go go gambling! Now to the rival I've practically been pushing over this whole time, his Alakazam and Blastoise were horrifying to deal with, but with enough time I got through and so I hit the Hall of Fame! But wait, there's more! One... Final... Mission... To catch Mewtwo for myself. Stay tuned for Log 9! Now for the true Team roll out.

1. As hard as this is, I highly suggest you take on the challenge of filling out the pokedex. It makes sense for you, as a animal rehabilitator should have experience with as many animals as possible. Legendaries are optional, however. Crystal is gen 2, so it is certainly far easier than later gens to accomplish this task.

First entry:
These rules actually made me learn the basics of ROM editing, since Paras is only obtainable after the first badge and TM11, Sunny Day is also obtainable pretty late in the game. Had to sit down one afternoon and learn to use mapping and scripting tools to change Caterpie encounters in Viridian Forest to Paras, and switch one Pokéball in the grass to TM11. I used the Randomizer to replace Bulbasaur with Eevee and my journey could finally begin!
Named Eevee Pine, a common tree found in the forest, the Spearrow that I caught next to Viridian City got the name Mint, representing an herb or plant commonly known for its sharp and fresh fragrance. Lastly to arrive was Lavender the Paras, a lilac plant that soothes and heals with its aroma.
Ending my session in Pewter City I made a plan for Brock since none of my team members have any attacks that do much damage. I'll get Lavender to level 14 to learn Poison Spore and then slowly whittle them down while spamming Sand Attacks and Growls or chip away with some Tackles and Scratches. Let's see how it goes tomorrow!

Phew, after some rl shenanigans and LOTS of grinding on the first Trainer in the gym I finally got my Boulder badge! Since repels become available as soon as Pewter City I couldn't grind the tall grass so I spend all my money on potions and repels and then went to level up my Lavender. I'm playing on my 3DS so there is no turbo mode and believe me, it took many hours to repeatedly whittle down the Geodude and then wiping to Sandshrew for a reset. After learning Poison Powder I finally tackled Brock, but lost once due to still hitting me with Tackle, Bind and Rock Tomb through 6 Sand-Attacks (he never missed lol).

Ok, so I started up my game and chose Treeko as my temporary starter. I did all of the early game stuff (I Fought Brendan, got pokeballs, got the running shoes, and got the two free potions) then headed over to route 102 to catch my first pokemon, Seedot! ...I mean after ages of searching for one since it has like a 1% catch rate...
Anyway, I found him but kept switching him out with Treeko still as he doesn't exactly have any attacking moves yet other than bide which is kinda bad. I helped Wally catch his Ralts then went and caught Slakoth in Petalburg Woods. Time to say goodbye to Treeko!
Oh and I also caught a Marill on Route 104
I trained up my pokemon to level 15 (Which allowed Seedot to evolve into Nuzleaf) then went to challenge the gym! ...which Marill solo-runned, huh
Anyway, badge 1 down!
