    The next season is simply going to be called Black and White. Confirmed by Serebii, Bulbanews, and me.

    So yes. The U.S. degree of cool will always be different from the JP degree of cool. But do you prefer that it came to this? Or should they have stuck to Best Wishes?

    I would have preferred Best Wishes over Black and White as Black and White sounds so dull and uncreative and Best Wishes sounds really cool and to me fits very well.

    And on an unrelated note I am under the impression that Ash's Pikachu swallowed a Light Ball as a baby.
     
    That's it? The only thing they're telling us is that it's Black and White and not Best Wishes? I was expecting the air dates to be announced along with that.
    I sound like a whiny little kid. lol
     
    I expected this. I had heard the reason Japan chose Best Wishes was not only for the BW at the start, but the katakana for "wishes" also has "isshu" in, so it was sorta a play on words that couldn't be translated over. ...Don't kill me if I'm wrong o.O
     
    I grew so used to calling the new series Best Wishes, it's kind of a bummer that in the US it'll be reverted back to simply "Black and White." :\

    Let's hope they make something good out of the opening if that's changed too.
     
    I never really did like the name "Best Wishes" anyway. Hmmmm... "Pokemon: Black and White" does relate to the games anyway so I like it.
     
    My first reaction was "YES \o/", just because I was having my doubts that 4Kids would want to call it 'Black and White', since I remember them changing similar Yugioh monster names. Like how Black Magician was changed to Dark Magician, to bypass anything in relation to race / skin color. >__>;

    Step up for 4Kids, but maybe they figured it would promote the games better that way?

    I am for Best Wishes the name suits it much more and I have seen a few episodes already and found interesting. I have given up on the US dub of this anime and Black & White will be no different in my opinion.
    So in short you can say I prefer Best Wishes.
     
    Best Wishes sounds better. But apparently we here in the US think kids wouldn't know what the anime is based unless if it shares the exact same title as the game.

    I disagree slightly, I think most fans of the series would pick it up rather quick. It is mostly the dubbers doing because that is what they think.
    As far as I can tell thats whats going on here.

    Yes, I can't wait to see this series English dubbed version, the title I'm sure I'll get used to it like I did Best Wishes.
     
    Black and White with the same title as the game what! This seems rather bland and unappealing. I would much rather have it named Best Wishes then Black and White. Lets just hope the VA's are good and English Dubbing won't ruin it for everyone.

    I'm kind of disappointed that the anime is going to simply be called "Pokemon Black and White", it just sounds bland. Why couldn't they simply do: "Best Wishes! Pokemon Black and White" or something like that?

    Eh, I'm kind of disappointed in how the whole 5th gen is being localized right now. Have they EVEN MENTIONED that this new game is going to have triple and rotation battles yet?

    Thank you for catching that.

    I'm aware 4Kids doesn't dub Pokemon anymore.. XD must've just been and old habit, due to so many years of being used to it. Still a step for PUSA, however. I'm a bit glad that they went with calling it Black and White, since I remember being disappointed that the Japanese version went with 'Best Wishes', originally. I like it now that I'm used to it, but eh.

    At least it'll be easier to differentiate between the Japanese and dubbed version now. People will know that when you say 'Best Wishes', you most likely mean the Japanese version.
