Anime/Manga uguu?

I may watch it! Since I never have the chance to play the games it may be easier.

I've played a few games. 2-3 I think? I was VERY much into them. Might give them a spin again. The games can make some really great anime material so I have high hopes. <3

ALSO I started watching Michiko to Hatchin. 9 episodes in. Loving the show so far. Lovely music and lovely leading ladies. Just look at the opening, so much fun! -

Ace Attorney is definitely great material for an anime. I just hope that they'll execute it well. Ace Attorney is one of my favorite video game franchises.

Also hi sorry for disappearing omg my poor Summer 2015 backlog good thing I didn't pick up that much anime this season

Two more gaming pieces of news that are relevant to A&M:

Persona 5's gonna be getting an anime. As far as quality goes, any preconceptions you may have thanks to either Persona 4's two shows (which weren't great exactly) or Persona 3's movies (which are marginally better than the games that spawned them) are pretty much moot at this point. P5's showing to be a different beast and, with that in mind, even if either of the studios that did the aforementioned works picked it up it wouldn't necessarily be doomed to the same fate. EDIT: Woopsie, it's a special. Likely an apology for the delay of the game.

Apart from that, expect a new trailer for Steins Gate 0 soon. Not yet, but it's coming. I believe other than that, the only other anime news that comes to mind out of TGS is that Monster Hunter Stories is getting an anime, and everyone's excited about that.

@deropero - Machin's been on my too wa...well, it's been on my check-out list for a while. Since Amazon thinks it's for me because I happen to be interested in anime. But it does look fun.

Oh crapsnaps, didn't even notice they ended this GATE season here before I had gone to MAL to update after having watched what (turned out to be) the last episode of this cour.
It's been a bumpy ride for me. I enjoyed the military and societal aspects, such as the language barrier, as well as the occasional chunk of army slice of life, but man, the otaku pandering and the endless nationalistic autofellation.
It would probably have been fine to me if it was just an entertaining over-the-top military fantasy show with a ridiculously far-fetched and silly plot, or a fantasy harem with a can-do-no-wrong protagonist who ended up in a wonky other world filled with nekomimi; but trying to be both? That's a bit tricky.

Haven't seen anything other than the game trailer for P5. Looks gorgeously stylistic, as tends to be the case with that series.

Someone's on the ball.

Spoiler:
Nopenope, that butt isn't plump at all.

The ass doesn't get enough love as it is, and- hey, HEY! I'm talking to you character designers! Your asses are shit! If you don't love and respect the ass, you can't properly illustrate an attractive one! Go to an H site, those guys know their stuff and are also excellent artists.

And directors, you too! Your ass-shots are shit and there aren't enough of them! Respect the rear! If you spent half the time you spend focusing on thighs and chesticles with asses, we wouldn't be having this problem.

*racial stereotypes intensify*
This isn't a race thing, Poki. I admit, I didn't always respect the ass. Not in my younger days I didn't. I was a fool. I didn't see what was right behind me- nay, right behind all of us. I had sinned, and now I seek redemption, as we all should. This disrespect is terribly inhibiting the creative world, Poki, and you of all people should be concerned by this!

Speaking of asses, Steins;Gate 0's Opening Movie's out, if anyone's interested. Looks interesting, and unlike the VN for S;G's opening (at least, as far as the PC version went), it's actually animated.
Spoiler:

Anime is a visual medium that often emphasizes "perfection" and "attractivity" as a selling point, which is based in a country where overweightedness is hella low in the population, where the traditional beauty standards are still going relatively strong, and where sexism and casual sexual objectification of especially young women runs rampant.
Furthermore, studios make what they think their consumers want to see, and (to my knowledge at least) in most instances body diversity doesn't seem to be a thing these particular Japanese audiences care about.
Media here in the west have started putting more effort into body- and racial diversity (race in Japan is a rabbit hole we'll leave for another time though, christ) because audiences here have started making it perfectly clear that it's what they want. Unfortunately, Japanese production companies have a tendency to not give a flying fuck about any western audiences, with changes to this only happening very recently, so it's proooooobably not their top priority to adapt to our moral standards.

TLDR:
Because people are shallow and only want to look at pretty things, lmao

Oh and welcome back, how was it?

I tend to not give a crap about things like those in general. Because, you know, in the end, it doesn't even matter. :p

I was going for a Linkin Park reference there rather than mean it literally but I guess it wasn't all that clearly apparent lmao

Anyway, things have gotten quiet over here these days. Fair enough considering the fact that most seasonal shows are ending but...yeah. Maybe we need more of generic threads than series specific ones.

Oh, sorry. I actually considered responding to what I thought was your serious statement with that same Linkin park reference, so there's that.

Yeah, it's been quiet here
Spoiler:
Anything you guys are looking forward to next season? I've only glanced at the chart so far, so the only things I know I'll be watching is Monogatari and OPM.

I've made a list of things I'll watch. But maybe I'll refrain from picking a lot this season. The lesser the better. I have a MASSIVE backlog of old stuff to watch including some quintessential series like Nichijou, FMA (2003), Black Lagoon, Beck and Eureka 7 - to name just a few lol.

Oh, sorry. I actually considered responding to what I thought was your serious statement with that same Linkin park reference, so there's that.
Like, in the end, my opinion doesn't even matter? I-is th-that what you m-me-meant, pokey-kun?! (ಥ﹏ಥ)

No, Dero. No, it was. I can't even measure the disappointment.

Not much. Mostly Owari, Teekyu, and WunPunchMun. There are some other shows I'll be giving a look, though, like Heavy, MonStrike, ConcreteRevo, and Comet Lucifer. Only Owari and Teekyu are priority, though.
