[Elder Trainer]

Update #3

-Beat the two trainers outside the Veilstone City gate and went through.
-Traveled down Route 214 while battling the trainers. Traveled through the Valor Lakefront and Route 213 to Pastoria City.
-Passed through the city to Route 212. Found a Dawn Stone in the marsh and evolved Scrapper into Gallade.
-Captured a Croagunk, nicknamed it Toxic Skin.
-Went back to Veilstone and challenged the gym, earned the Cobble Badge.
-Helped Dawn get her Pokedex back from the Galactic Grunts outside the Veilstone Warehouse. Got HM02, unboxed Noctowl and taught her Fly, then flew back to Pastoria.
-Boxed up Noctowl, then went to the gym. Battled my way to Crasher Wake, need to grind before challenging him.

• Grinded against the Elite Four, beating them 9 more times, and everyone was at L63.
• Then I took on the Viridian Gym and beat Blue pretty handily. Light, Torrent, and Cleopatra each beat 2 foes.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Then I did some exploring with Rock Climb (which I taught to Torrent), and eventually found my way back to Indigo Plateau.
• With everyone at L64, I took on the Elite Four's upgraded teams.
• Cleopatra did the most work against Will and Koga (Torrent also helped against Will, but Cleopatra soloed Koga), Light and Kermit were the stars for Bruno and Karen, respectively, and Rider was money against Lance, taking out four dragons with Ice Beam.

Flying UMC Finale: The E4 Trial The Final Update In Kanto

This is gonna be a huge update, and I have divided it into 4 parts.
1. Summary of Kanto
2. The E4
3. The E4 Reprise
4. The After Party (Haha, get it? My party, after the E4? And an after party?)

PART 1: Summary Of Kanto​

Spoiler:

I begin my Flying UMC. I talk about the boring begining with much humor. I name myself Link, starting the Loz Theme. I get a charmander named Sheik. I train and catch Navi, my loyal pidgey! We lose to our rival Ganon. Sheik is 7, Navi is 3. I train until both are Lvl. 9, and I win this time. I rush to Pewter, train Sheik to Metal-Claw Brock into shreds, and win the boulder badge. I get my running shoes, and head to Mt. Moon's entrance. I buy Zora, the Magicarp, but then realize it's gonna be to hard to train, so i release it, and catch a Zubat who I name Goron. My team is now Sheik, 17, Navi, 17, and Goron, 7. I manage to get through the thugs known as team Rocket, and emerge next to two Ninja Masters. I teach Sheik both Mega Punch and Mega Kick. I battle Ganon, use it as an opportunity to train Goron, and win easily. My team is Sheik, 20, Navi, 20, and Goron, 10. I almost give up on Goron, but tons of training gives me the extra levels needed to make him usable. Team is all Lvl. 22. We beat Misty, earn the CascadeBadge, and go to Vermillion. We get on the SS. Anne, train, beat Ganon, give a massage, and receive cut. Sheik solo's Surge with Dig, and we get the third badge! Team is all 28. We get the HM slave Minish, teach him cut and flash, and proceed to battle through the Rock Tunnel. At the other end, we find Ganon in the ghost tower, win, and leave due to a ghost blocking the way. We get to Celadon, and gamble a bit. I make a lucky win, leave, and find Erika's gym. It's all girls, and all easy. Coincidence? We win, get the Rainbowbadge (Girls and their names...), and find the secret TR base in the game corner. One Giovanni later, we are pwning marowaks mother (hahaha), and saving Mr. Fuji. Team is all 38, and by this time, Sheik is a Charizard, Navi is a Pideot, and Goron is a Golbat who keeps trying to become a Crobat.... darn it, he never will.... We head to Fushia, complete the Safari Zone event, get Surf, Fly, and Strength, and head to Saffron. Silph Co. is over-run, so my team steps in and battles outr way through. Somehow, Ganon beats me to it, and we battle. I beat him all with Goron. Easy. Next I am given a Lapras I name Red Lion, and he becomes HM slave 2. Giovanni is solo'd with Sheik, and I am now able to battle Sabrina. I do, and win. Too easy what with bite and all. I next fly to Fushia, and take out Koga. Harder, but still easy. Team is all 42. We surf to Cinnibar, solve the mystery of Pokemon Mansion, and battle with Blaine. Im a trivia know-it-all, so I got to him lickity split. After an epic battle, I came out on top. One more gym to go. I got distracted with the Sevii islands, and finnally made it back to Viridian, to face gym leader 8..... Giovanni? After an epic-r battle than ever before, I win. This battle was astounding for Navi because:
1. Navi beat 3 pokemon without getting hit, one being a Onix.
2. I realized an amazing combo Navi could use, Attract, then Toxic. Perfect.
I battle Ganon, solve Victory Road, beat the Three Legendary Birds with my three birds, and I prepare for the E4. My pokemon are all Lvl. 50. You are now caught up.

PART 2: The E4​

Honestly, the first time I battled the E4, I lost, I bought as much potions and revives as my wallet would allow, but still, Ganon beat me in the end. i was so mad, I grinded, and grinded, and grinded. Next I did more grinding. My pokemon were all up to Lvl. 56, and I was ready to give my all. Elite Four, you have not gotten the best of LINK!!!

PART 3: The E4 Reprise​

Revives? Check. Hyper Potions? Check. Full Heals? Full Restores? Ether? Check, Check, Check. Time to battle the E4!

Lorelei: Oh god, I'm freaking out. Lorelei is ice-y, and has many part water pokemon, that destroys Sheik, Goron, and Navi! Only luck with get me through this.... I start with Navi, she with Dewgong. I toxic, then spam fly. She misses some, hails, and gets an Ice Beam in there. It's devestating. She Full Restores, I Hyper Potion, and I go at it again. I manage a win. Next up is Slowbro, so I switch to Goron. I get Bite-Flinch lucky, and win. Jynx is up next, so i switch to Sheik. Flamethrower 1HKO. Next is Cloyster, I stick with Sheik, and two Flamethrowers makes Cloyster Christmas dinner. Next is Lapras, and still I stick with Sheik. 1 Overheat kills it. The End. Lorelei, you were easier than I expected!

Bruno: I heal, save, and then proceed to Bruno. I accedentaly start with Navi, but it all works out. I Toxic-Love Onix, and beat him easily. Next is Hitmochan. Navi uses Fly, but he Sky Uppercuts me. Dead Navi. Next, I send Goron. One crit Wing attack, and he's history. Next is Machamp. I Poison Fang, he Scary Face's me and then Bulks Up, I use Poison Fang again. Now I Wing Attack, he Cross Chops, he uses his Sitrus Berry, and beats me with Rock tomb. Sheik finishes the job, 1HKO's Hitmonlee, and I EQ Onix twice for the win. Bruno, you were good, BUT IM BETTAH!

Agatha: I heal, and visit in on the old creep, Agatha. I send out Navi first, she sends out Gengar. He double-teams a lot, but dies in the end cuz I have aerial ace! Next is Golbat, i continue with Navi, and we each spam an attack, him Air Cutter, me Aerial Ace. i win. Next is Arbok. I Aerial Ace him once, but his Sludge Bomb is deadly and kills me. I send out Sheik, who gets it over with quick. Flamethrower is deadly bro. Gengar #2 next, and I overheat it. In the red. He Full Restores, and I flamethrow twice. He sleeps me, I full heal, and beat him. Haunter comes next, I switch to Goron, and a couple bites ives me the win. Sorry Agatha, but old dogs can't learn new tricks. I win!

Lance: Lance made me nervous. His Aerodactyl looked horribly over-powered and I thought for sure I'd lose. Started out Navi Vs. Gyarados, I managed a Toxic-Love win, next was Aerodactyl, another Toxic-Love win. Amazing. Dragonair was aerial ace'd to death, but the second one killed poor Navi. Goron got revenge and one against Dragonair #2, and power-house Dragonite came on. i got a him Poisoned with Poison Fang, but dies in his Outrage. Sheik came in, Overheated the place up, flamethrowered like crazy, and beat Dragonite, barely. Sheik was left with 12 HP. Lance, you were close, but no victory for you. I am the champion! .....WHAT? GANON BEAT ME TO IT!!!!!!!!!!!! WAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Link Vs. Ganon, the Champ​

Navi Vs. Pidgeot. I Toxic-Love a victory. Yesss! he sends in a Rhydon. It owns me with one Rock Tomb. Snap. Next, I send in Goron, revive Navi, die, and switch Navi in. I manage a Toxic-Love win. Next is Blastoise, I Toxic-Love, but it's no use. I die near the end of it. The only one I have left is Sheik. Starter Vs. Starter! Lucky for me, my EQ hit, his hydro-pump did not, and poison finished him off! WOW! Next is Arcanine. I EQ him to death. Next is Alakazam. I overheat him, then flamethrow, and i get a win. He sends out Excecutor, I heal, and win with one flamethrower. I am the champion. I win. YES! Hahaha, take that Ganon! I am the best in the whole world now!

PART 4: The After Party​

Now that I'm a Champion, here is a detailed summary of the pokemon that made it possible:

Sheik Lvl. 58 Careful At:127 Df:122 SpA:130 SpD:118 Spd:151 Overheat, Slash, Earthquake, and Flamethrower Male

Sheik was my starter, an arguably, my most powerful pokemon. His overheat was un-beatable, and his EQ was handy. I love Charizards, and it was awesome to use one for this fun. I would have failed without him. Thank you Sheik!

Goron Lvl. 57 Quirky At:111 Df:107 SpA:88 SpD:110 Spd:136 Wing Attack, Bite, Double-Edge, and Poison Fang Female

Goron... how should I begin? He was really bad a first, and was probably the worst of my 3 pokemon, but he beat Physic type pokemon more often than not, even with the type disadvantage, and his Poison Fang was useful. He was my only un-evolved pokemon, and that made it tough, but he was useful in the long run. Thank you Goron!

Navi Lvl. 58 Hardy At:123 Df:107 SpA:102 SpD:101 Spd:125 Toxic, Fly, Attract, and Aerial Ace Female

Navi was my M.V.P, and this is because of her Toxic-Love Combo. It could destroy Onix, pwn Gyarados, and beat up an Aerodactyl any day. A combo of my own creation, it was devastating. I may or may not use another Pidgeot, for I like to spice up my team, but if I do, I will try to teach it the great Toxic-Love Combo. How does it work? Attract, then Toxic. Now you may spam attacks, Fly works great as you are up in the sky half the time, and you will win in 1-2 turns. Thank you so much, Navi!

And thats all for Kanto! Next Time: Johto! And remember, with Flying Types, you are always as fly as a G6!

Edit: I started HeartGold. I picked Totodile, named him Mudkipz, named my character Broseph, and named my rival TheDude. I just got pokeballs, and I'm waiting till night for a Hoot-Hoot, my REAL starter. Mudkipz will be for strength, surf, cut, and flash, providing he actually can learn those moves. Are people gonna even read "I now am in viridian forest, caught a metapod, blah blah blah." I'll try not to be too self-indulgent. I beat Wallace this morning in my Poison UMC Sapphire leg.
Tetrid III beat the Luvdisc because I was expecting Sealeo next, but Wishcash followed. Wadrus was sent out, and set up Sunny Day on Wishcash's Amnesia, and proceeded to sweep the rest of the team. The only problem was Milotic, who survived the first Solarbeam (Sunny Day FTW) and Ice Beamed poor Wadrus, sending him to around 50 HP.

I love Sunny Day+Solarbeam combos. Especially when it hampers my opponent's Water moves.

Well, after much coin flipping hard thought, I've picked a Flying type challenge. I'll be doing a single challenge in Ruby on an emulator, since I don't want to restart any of my existing files. I suppose I'll post back here every once in a while with progress. Wish me luck!

Edit: Just started. I picked the female character and one of the preset names, Sara, and I picked Mudkip as my starter, though I don't think it really matters since I would have ended up boxing any of the starters anyway. After the initial events(talking to Birch, battling Brendan, getting pokedex, etc.) I went out and caught myself a Wingull. I trained it up to lvl 10 and put my Mudkip in the PC box. Here's my current team:

Bug UMC Update - Hoenn

Seems that alot of people are doing a flying mono type. weird

Update Time - Fairly long (Edit: Sorry for not adding spoilers forgot to and now I cant whoops :) )

Wattson
This fight was no where near as hard as I thought it would be. Magnemite and Voltorb were sort of hard but beat them. Now the trouble, Magneton. Well I ended up using Shedinja. The only thing he could die from was confusion. So equiping a persim berry I continue to screech x3 and fury swipe. I was pretty lucky with Shedinja only hurting himself once. Dynamo Badge obtained.

Before leaving I catch a volbeat and name him Bumblebee. Teaching rock smash to Zigzaggoon I headed north, beating the winstrate family really easily. Figting some trainers and heading through a cave I arrive to a place covered in ash. Head towards Fallabor town and receive the dig TM. Teach it to Kimmi and move on. Prof Cosmos had his meteor stolen off him and I followed Team Aqua to Mt Chimmney. There I stopped ther plan to dry up the volcano crater. Jumping down Jagged Pass I reach Laaridge town. An old woman gave me an egg but I deposited it in the Computer. Off to the Gym

Waiting off on Fltiwicks evolution was worth it. Bubblebeam is so much stronger than bubble. While surskit is weak my newly evolved masquerain was beast. Bubblebeam OHKO both slugmas. Torkoal was hard though. Sent out kimmi to take an overheat to lower torkoals sp.attack. Flitwick the defeted torkaol after a few bubblebeams and some healing on both sides. Heat badge obtained

Meeting may outside she give me the go goggles and tells me I should challenge my dad. Training a bit in the desert and finding a claw fossil, I travel back to petalburg for a family reunion. Fighting every trainer in the gym I approach dad for my epic battle

Norman
His first slaking was hard. Using Kimmis dig to avoid his attacking turn I eventually get him down. Vigoroth took the combined efforts of Elaine and Flitwick and Bumblebee. Bumblee leveled up to level 29 and learned protect. Perfect timing! Proceding to sweep with his extremnely strong signal beam and protecting every second turn norman lose. Balance Badge obtained.

Before leaving for the next town I have a few errands to do. Firstly I go to Rustboro to revive my Claw Fossil and thus my last team member was here Unit the anorith. Training Unit on the water routes between Rustboro and Dewford and Dewford and Slaterport, I finf an abandoned ship and after soem exploring I find an Ice beam TM and tought it to Flitwick. Finally in Mauville Wattson asked me to shut down the generator in New Mauville and he gave me the thunderbolt tm for it and that was taught to Bumblebee.

Surfing east I fight some trainers and arrive at the weather station. Saving the scientists from Team Aqua I received a castform. Battled may straight afterwards, fsirly straight forward she isnt that strong. Reaching the next town to my surprise they all live in trees. Trying to get into the gym It is blocked by something Invisible. Oh well. On the next route I met that Steven guy again. He showed me that the invisible things are Kecleons and the devon scope can get rid of them. Now I can get into the gym.

Winona
Swellow was actually the hardest because of Double team, she K'oed bumblebee after he got off a thundebolt but was finished by Flitwick. She sends out pelliper and I send out Elaine. Sacrifinf elaine i revive bumblbee. One thundershock later Bumblebee got revenge. Altaria vs Flitwick. All i can say is Ice beam = Win. Skarmory was taken down by two thunderbolts form bumblebee.

Leaving fortree i travel along the long route and reached Lilycove. Deciding to check out the mysterious Mt.Pyre I find Team Aqua there. Archie stole the red orb and the old couple give me the blue orb. Hearing about something in slateport I fly there to find Team Aqua stealing a submarine. Back at Lilycove I enetr the hideout and I find a masterball, wow shame I cant use it. The grunts held me up and reaching the end of the hideout I finf admin Matt there. Elaine soloed his whole team.Defeating him slows down just too much and Archie gets away. I have to search the sea for him. For now I need to rest

I arrived in Mauville like I stated before and did some grinding on Electrike to Manectric and got Minun a little more up to speed. Watson was kinda challenging without anything to help take down his more powerful electric types. Magenton proved his biggest challenge...while Manectric wasn't easy...Magenton was simply harder. Minnie (Minun) was of little use when Voltorb decided to toy with me and let me get em down to low health before Self-Destructing.....d***....I've now begun moving north, continuously training Minnie. I don't even plan on keeping it the whole time, I just want something else in my party in case Spike faints and I can revive her :) Once I beat Flannery and Norman I plan on adding Magneton! My next update will probably be next week..Moving out of the house into an apartment and school is starting up! :D

Update #4


-Did some grinding, during which Blaze evolved into Infernape, Yogi evolved into Medicham, and Toxic Skin evolved into Toxicroak. Defeated Crasher Wake and earned the Fen Badge.
-Chased down and defeated the Galactic Grunt.
-Got the SecretPotion from Cynthia and healed the Psyduck.
-Got the Old Charm from Cynthia and traveled to Celestic Town.
-Defeated the Galactic Grunt and Cyrus. Gave the Old Charm to Cynthia's grandmother and received HM03.
-Unboxed Bibarel and taught it Surf, then went to Canalave City. Defeated Barry again and went to Iron Island.
-Traveled through the cave, meeting up with Riley along the way, and defeated the Galactic Grunts at the end. Got the Riolu egg from Riley and went to Cycling Road to hatch it. Nicknamed him Swift Claw.
-Did some more grinding. Riolu evolved into Lucario. Returned to Canalave City and defeated the Trainers and Byron, earning the Mine Badge.
-Met with Barry, Dawn, and Professor Rowan, then went to Lake Valor. Defeated the Galactic Grunts and Saturn.
-Went to Lake Verity, defeating the Grunts and Mars.
-Traveled through Mt. Coronet and Route 216 to Snowpoint City. Defeated the trainers and Candice and earned the Icicle Badge.
-Went to Lake Acuity and met up with Barry. Upon Jupiter's exit, went to Veilstone City and Team Galactic's headquarters.
-Battled my way through the warehouse and got the Galactic Key, then entered the building and made my way to Cyrus. More grinding ahead to prepare for the battle.

Update for Final Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Water).

Time for me to start the Hoenn section of my Water UMC!

Update #1 on Emerald.

• After I got my Mudkip, I named him Torrent as usual, then beat May and got my Pokedex.
• Caught a couple Zigzagoons, then realized that getting more wasn't worth it since Pickup got nerfed in Emerald (grrr).
• Caught a Lotad on Route 102 named Lucy.
• Thought about catching a Wingull, then decided to leave him for later.
• Went through Petalburg City and the Forest, and saved before the bridge to Rustboro.

Update time!

So, after training Mr. P(wingull) a bit, I went to Petalburg and talked to the Dad. I "helped" Wally catch a pokemon, and then departed the city. In Petalburg woods, I caught a Silcoon and a Tailow. Trained them up until Silcoon evolved. Then I headed further into the woods, where I ended up having to protect a Devon employee from a Magma grunt, my first encounter with the evil team.

After that, I continued out of the woods and up route 104 to Rustboro, where I got HM 01: Cut. Then I continued to the Rustboro gym. I beat Roxanne using Madame(Beautifly) and Mr. P. Nosepass's Rock Tomb took out Madame and almost took out Mr. P, which would have been devastating since my only other pokemon is Ms. S(tailow). Afterwards, I went down route 116 and chased down the other Magma Grunt and recovered the Devon parcel. Brought it back to the employee and got the Pokenav and the letter for Steven from Mr. Stone.

Then I went out and caught a Nincada and taught it Cut. Went back to the PokeCenter and saved.

Bug UMC

I caught a venonat which means i have now caught all the bug pokemon available. I then grinded until i got venomoth after this i beat koga. Now for saffron city...
