Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Dragon).

Hey everyone, I finally started the Unova leg of my Dragon monotype challenge.

Update #1 on White.

Name: Lance
Starter: Druddigon

• Made Druddigon my starter in place of Oshawott, named her Scarlet.
• Eventually reached Striaton City, where I picked up Pansear my Cut slave.
• Beat Cheren, then took on the gym. Cilan didn't stand a chance against Scarlet's Bite (boosted by Sheer Force ftw).
• Got Cut from Fennel and did the Dreamyard scene.
• Continued onwards and saved the pokemon from Team Plasma.
• Arrived in Nancrene City, then beat all the trainers outside the forest.
• Beat N, then went in the museum/gym.
• Lenora took two tries because of Watchog's Hypnosis, but Scarlet beat her with Rock Smash (also boosted by Sheer Force ftw).
• Team Plasma showed up again, so I schooled them in Pinwheel Forest.
• Went over the bridge to Castelia City and saved in the Battle Co.

Now I continue from Fortree City onwards to destroy the Elite Four. I am hoping
to do so in this update. I don not remember how long the game is, but I will try
to have Hoenn finished up.

So I follow team Aqua into a mountain and I am guessing their base. I hope I can
finally exterminate them. Actually it was the ghost place. They appear to be
torturing this poor old couple. I must stop these fiends.

So they stole a red orb from the old couple, and now they are
stealing a submarine. They must be stopped.

In Lilycove City I meet up and fight May. Easy win. Off the coast, however, I find
Aqua's base. Now I can destroy them, right? Dangit they keep running away. I will
get them soon though.

In Mossdeep I get Dive and then head to the gym. The gym was relatively tough.
You know being Psychic and all. Now to get a Water pokemon for Dive.

I now am heading to the final gym. On the way there I see Aqua. Time for them
to be finally defeated. I think so, but I am not really sure. Great they unleash
an ancient pokemon and the world is now in danger. I gues I have to stop it.
Time to kill Kyogre.

So Kyogre and I fight. I kill it. Now for the eighth badge. Kyogre was actually
tougher then most gyms I love that gym. The puzzle of it is one of the puzzles
I really enjoy. Anyways it was an easy win and not a sharpedo in sight. Now to
the Elite Four.

In Victory oad I get a new addition to my team Medi the Medicham. At the end of
Victory Road guess who shows up to fight, that's right Wally. This should be a
sweet fight.

I was correct about it being a sweet fight. The last pokemon up were Empathy and
his Gardevoir. Empathy managed to win it though. Now for the final test.

The Elite Four were not that tough, but there is still one left. Steven.

Steven was a pretty tough challenge, but I managed to beat him using only Mystic.

I am just now going to start the Electric Ultimate Monotype Challenge that goes through all the generations and such, and I'll be trying to go through it all with the Electric style... Obvious game choice for the first generation... Pokemon Yellow lol xP

Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Dragon).

Update #2 on White.

• Beat the Battle Co., then it was time for more TP meddling.
• Beat Burgh easily, all were Dragon Claw OHKOs.
• Beat Bianca and Cheren, then explored the Desert Resort.
• Arrived in Nimbasa City and got the Bike, then beat N.
• Elesa was easy as well with Dragon Claw. They were all faster but couldn't do much at all to Scarlet.
• Beat Cheren again and met Alder before crossing the bridge to Driftveil City.
• Took care of TP in Cold Storage, then took on the gym.
• Clay actually beat me once with Krokorok's Swagger (Scarlet hit herself three times), but the second time was easy with Dragon Claw and Revenge.
• Beat Bianca and got Fly (taught to Woobat), then headed on through Chargestone Cave.
• Arrived in Mistralton City and saved in the Celestial Tower.

Well I did all the major stuff that you do in the beggining of Pokemon Yellow (you no get pikachu, fight gary, get the thing for oak in the mart, etc etc) then I had to super grind my Pikachu up to level 20 so I could win the first badge because Pikachu is the only one of my type so far (things should get much easier when I finaly get far enough to catch a magnemite)... Is using the speed function in your emulator allowed for this challenge, cuz idk how long I can grind my pikachu at regular speed before getting slightly mad lmao xP

Well I have just now finished the Kanto area for my Ultimate Electric Challenge (made full use of the speed button while I was training my pokemon) and so now I'll go on to play through Silver... I dont think there are any Electric pokemon before you reach falkner so I may have to hack in a lvl 5 electric pokemon... I beat the elite four with a lvl 75 Magneton, 79 Pikachu, 63 Electrode, a level 20 Staryu level 10 Charmander, and a lvl 5 Pidgey... It took a bunch of retries but there are many more electric pokemon in the future games so they should be easier... I hope so anyways lol xP

I have done it! I won!

I took SuperKirbyFan's advice and did some extreme grinding. The E4 wasn't much trouble with my new team, but Lance was sort of a pain. Suprisingly, Blah (my rival) wasn't too hard either. I was really disappointed with Blah. So, I am the Champion! Here is my team.

Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Dragon).

Update #3 on White.

• Climbed Celestial Tower and rang the bell, then took on the gym.
• Skyla was easy, they were all OHKOed with Dragon Claw as usual.
• Beat Cheren and got the Surf HM.
• Finally, I was able to get my second team member, Axeman the Axew in Mistralton Cave.
• Explored all the Surf accessible areas, and Axeman evolved into Fraxure!
• Went through Twist Mountain to Icirrus City.
• Beat Brycen easily thanks to Axeman shaking off Beartic's Swagger.
• Saved in the Dragonspiral Tower.

Yea I remembered about the mareep right before I went to hack in Elekid/Pichu so i just soldiered on with chicorita till after I defeated Falkner to go down route 32. And I have just beaten the elite four in silver so now i got the rest of kanto to go through to get to fight red and then Ill be done with pokemon silver lol xP... the team that I beat the elite four with was: 58 Lanturn, 55 Ampharos, 34 Magneton, 62 Electrode (traded with a man in olivine city for a krabby), lvl 6 Spearow, and a lvl 26 Poliwag...

I started my journey with a Chikorita. I used him to beat ???, yeah, that stuff. When i got poke balls, i caught a hoothoot for fly, a poliwag, and spinarak for cut, etc. Right when i got my poliwag, i boxed my chikie and trained my poliwag. i got to violet city and kicked falkner's butt. the ruins of alph was hard cuz of the bellsprouts. but i managed to pull through ok. and, this is my team.

I need help. I am looking for Heracross, and I know you get him from headbutts. On bulbapedia, it says you can find him on route 29, but in a special tree. Can someone tell me which tree this is? Thank you.

Can I just say that Jumpluff really took me by surprise? I expected to like him the least, but he is easily one of my favorites. Both he and Herby are super easy to play with. (Helia and Joliflor are really hard to play with, because of being slow, and Sunny Day). Fun Fact, unless I'm in a really /long/ battle, I HATE Solar Beam. Not practical at all for normal game play through.

Well I just beat Red on Pokemon Silver with this team (revives and Explosion helped with half of Red's team lmao xP)

so now Ill be going onto Emerald/Ruby (undecided as to which one yet lol) to continue the Ultimate Electric Monotype, but I probably wont be going through the other games quite as quick as I did in Pokemon Yellow and Silver though because I'll be going back home tomorow-ish (I thought I was going back much sooner, but apparently my mom wanted to stay here a little bit longer)... but idc cuz I tomoro (or maybe day after depending on wat time we leave) I'll get to see my friends again lol xP

(Edit) Umm... Why will it not let me add on my screenshots that show my team?... I make sure they are in jpg format but they never ever show :(... Well until someone can help me out... my team to beat red was Lanturn 67, Ampharos 55, Electrode 78, Poliwag 26, Spearow 6, and Paras 6... Wish someone would help me find out why my pictures never show on here though :(

Okay, so because of the cheat problem, i had to start over, but im doing better now. Like i said, i got chikie, named him Cutter this time. So i did wut i did in the update before, upgrading kanna (which was his name at the time) to a poliwrath right when she hit 25, which was when i tore down bugsy. Then i got through ilex forest, giving cutter cut (thats why i named him cutter) and headbutt. Ive decided to hold off heracross becuz i found a good spot on route 29 to just headbutt and get heracross. \ So, then i caught a drowsee, then learned i needed abra to get the machop trade. So i bought him with coins i, well, bought, and got me a machop lv. 5 named muscle already. Then, i renamed kanna to carla. In the GIRLY gym, I trained muscle up and got him to like lv. 15. Then, i caught the second ditto i saw (cuz muscle accidentally killed the first one), which didn't take long, and named him Mr. breed (for breeding purposes). And now i stand in the goldenrod poke center with this team:

Thoughts on the Playthrough (Contains Favorites, least favorites, etc)

Okay, yet again, I was surprised at who my favorite would be. It is a tie between Herby and (here's the surprise) Fluffy. I thought that I would hate playing with Fluffy, because of his low stats (except for his exceptional speed). Herby was just a very well rounded individual and was easily the one easiest to play with. Fluffy however, came in very handy when I needed to battle a Fire type, or anyone I had a type disadvantage against. I would just Sleep Poweder > Leech Seed, and then either Headbutted or Giga Drained to speed the process along. Loved it.

I absolutely hated playing with Joliflor and Helia. It is such a hassle to always pull out a Sunny Day, and then Solar Beam. It was wonderful for long battles, but short battles (which is easily 5/6 of the Game) was painful. They didn't even get the Chlorophyll ability advantage of Sunny Day in this Gen. I still really like them though.

Jumpluff surprised me the most. I absolutely adore it. Adding him to the Grass Hall of Fame.

Update #4 on White.

• Beat up Team Plasma in Dragonspiral Tower and Relic Castle. Axeman evolved into Haxorus!
• Got the Dark Stone, then headed to Opelucid City.
• After Ghetsis' speech, I took on the gym. Scarlet OHKOed all of Iris' dragons with Dragon Claw.
• Made my way up to Victory Road, beating Cheren along the way.
• Caught my final team member, Dieno!
• Went vitmain shopping and EV trained Dieno.
• Then I went back to Victory Road and climbed it, training Dieno along the way.
• At the top, Dieno evolved into Zweilous!
• Renamed Zweilous to Nazgul, then saved at the Pokemon League.

When i left off, i was in goldenrod, right? Somehow, I managed to get my heracross. So, i went to ecruteak and beat silver, my rival, and the mysticalman eusine. Creepy guy. Then i moved on to morty. So hard (sarcasm). Then i did olivine and cianwood, blah blah blah. I went on as normal and beat the rockets, blah blah. Then i saved after the mahogany gym with this team:
