• Made my way to Veilstone City.
• Beat Maylene easily with Reaper's Wing Attack.
• Got Fly, then went south to Pastoria City.
• Caught a Yanma in the Great Marsh.
• Yanma evolved into Yanmega while training on the route from Hearthome City. Taught Yanmega Air Cutter via the Shard Move Tutor.
• Beat Frankie and then Crasher Wake.
• Defeated the Galactic Grunt, then got the two quests from Cynthia.
• Arrived in Celestic Town and defeated the Grunt.
• Defeated Cyrus as well.
• Got Surf, then saved in Celestic Town.

I doubt anyone missed me, but I'm just butting in for a quick update ^^

I'm still on my Ultimate Ground Challenge. I'm currently in Emerald before the last gym.

However, the challenge is on hold as I'm now enjoying myself on White too much to go back to it yet.

I'll return sometime, but it won't before for a couple of weeks.

Update for Fire type UMC: Johto leg complete! I honestly thought I'd have to beat Will/Koga a couple more times before I was ready for Bruno/Karen/Lance, but to my surprise I beat Bruno fairly easily. (Extrasensory FTW!) Karen's Umbreon was the hardest thing. >.< First out, Izanagi's Focus Blast missed, giving Umbreon the chance to Double Team. I didn't want to use a move with such shaky accuracy, and I was saving my Flamethrowers, so... I used Swift. >.< EIGHT TIMES, and then she healed! Fortunately scored a critical on the second time through, knocking it out. Six DTs.... I understand why it's banned in competitive play. The rest of her Pokemon were fairly simple. I was worried about Houndoom, since it has Flash Fire, but she wasn't smart enough to get a switch in, so I just Focus Blasted + Swifted it to death.

Lance.... oh, Lance. ^.^ This is where Ninetales truly shone. Confuse Ray hit every single Pokemon, and they spent far more time hitting themselves than hitting me. Typhlosion managed to get a burn on the lv. 50 Dragonite, and much Hyper Potion spamming later it hit itself in the face to death. XD Aerodactyl would have been a problem, but it never got a hit off. FOUR TURNS it hit itself, and on the fourth turn Extrasensory got the knockout. Charizard terrorized my team, forcing me to spam Revives. Finally, though, I got Ninetales out, confused it, and sat back to watch. :) It still killed Ninetales, but Flareon was able to mop up the rest. League Champ!

Blissy's Normal Ultimate Monotype Challenge! - Yellow Version
Chapter 7 - Celadon, Saffron, Fuchsia! Triple Gym Ownage! (Will edit)​

Finally free from Rock Tunnel (I will update the previous part.)! Man, I hated it there. Well...here we are in Lavender Town. The only good thing here isn't ascessable until later, so I'm going for Celadon.

Ah Celadon...the home of the Department Store, and the gym of Grass types. Let's hit the gym first. Before that...I went and got an Eevee, and named it Zmizz. Now...to the gym!

About a minute later...after getting HM02 from a girl in her "secret passage"...

A gym full of women, eh? Ok. Although, I really underestimated Eevee. With the right moves in synch with it's speed, it can really own. Now...Erika.....prepare to get owned...Blissy style! She starts with Tangela, the only pure Grass type as of Gen 5...I think. Well, OJ owned it with Fly. Her Weepinbell owned Zmizz due to a critical hit, so Magic finished the job. Gloom was easily owned, so I got the Rainbowbadge. Now...let's visit the Game Corner.

I never liked Celadon's Game Corner at all. But...it just might get good. A Rocket guarding a poster...that's not weird at all. Wait! A secret staircase! It leads to the Rocket Hideout. Let's take the elevator...which is what I would say if the elevator didn't require a Lift Key. Gay. Well, I'll battle a bunch of Rockets to find who has it. Though, when I find it, I need item space. Wonderful! I hate the weak item space in Yellow. It sucks. Well, I'll toss a TM to get the Lift Key. Now...to the elevator!

Look who's back...Jessie and James! Their party leveled up a lot since our last encounter, but Magic and Zmizz showed them. Now...Giovanni will get owned, Blissy Style. So afterwards, he left behind the Sliph Scope. I'm gonna heal, then fly to Lavendar Town to scale Pokemon Tower. I have a feeling I'll meet Zero too...basterd.

Ok...Pokemon Tower is a Ghost type haven, even though Kanto only has 3 Ghost types. Well...let's explore which is what I would say unless Zero didn't interupt me for the OVER 9000!!!th time. He got owned, and I worked my way up the tower until a ghost attacked me. Thanks to the scope, the ghost was revealed to be a Marowak, but it's uncatchable, so I can only kill it. But...up the stairs is Jessie and James yet again. They simply won't give up, so I own them, and head over to Mr. Fuji, who brings me to his house. He gave me the Poke Flute, so now.....back to Celadon!

Yeah...a sleeping, fat, yet strong pokemon is blocking the way to the Cycling Road. Now...to wake it up. Oh wait...it looks pissed. It's attacking! Ok...it's Snorlax, an excellent addition to my team. After a few fails, I finally caught Snorlax. Now...on the road again.

Beta...the Snorlax of opportunities. I went to the Safari Zone when I reached Fuchsia City so I could get the warden's teeth, and HM03 from the secret house. Now...it's gym time!

Caught another Shinx (Hansa). Boxed the first one. Regrinded to lv. 8 on Rt. 201 and 202 wild Pokemon before moving on.
Hansa was 10 upon arriving in Jubilife, and 11 after Trainer's School.

Hansa learned Bite and then evolved to Luxio.

I leveled up darumaka and beat Elesa. (bairly)
Simisear has scope lens for those lucky crits and thats exactly what it was lucky flame burst on zebstrika and surviving a spark idk how luck i guess. OK, cross the bridge over to driftveil i decided im getting Emboar and Darmanitan before i face clay so i tango with a few audino on the next route. The very big yet, very short battle with the Miner King. He sends out Krookorok against my Emboar 2HKO arm thrust Goes down. Palpitoad comes out simisear goes in grass knot 1HKO. Exadrill appears and Clay thought the battle was just beggining but it was the end. Darmanitan Flare Blitz= death. badge obtained waiting for tm.(not that im gonna use it) no currently resting and going to sleep.

Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Bug).

Final Update (#3) on Platinum.

• Upon completion of Iron Island, I had a Metal Coat, so I evolved Reaper into Scizor and taught him Bullet Punch.
• Beat Byron, Candice, Cyrus twice (TG is no more!) and finally Volkner to get all the badges.
• Surfed to Victory Road, then beat Frankie after making it through.
• Defeated the Elite Four and Cynthia to become the Champion!

OHKOs with either Air Slash or Bug Buzz.

Melody set up 2 Swords Dances on Whiscash, then swept with X-Scissor OHKOs on everyone.

The toughest battle by far. Reaper OHKOed Houndoom with X-Scissor, then Infernape OHKOd with Flare Blitz. Dragonfly beat him with Air Slash, then fell to Flareon's Overheat. Melody beat Flareon, then I Max Revived Dragonfly while Rapidash OHKOed with Flare Blitz. Dragonfly finished Rapidash, then 2HKOed Magmortar with Air Slash/Bug Buzz while surviving Flamethrower.

Melody X-Scissored a bunch, OHKOing Mr. Mime, 2HKOing Gallade and OHKOing Espeon before falling to Bronzong. Reaper finished Brongzong and OHKOed Alakazam with his own X-Scissor.

This was so easy - by far the easiest time I've ever had against Cynthia on the first go-round. Reaper's Bullet Punch was the key move as it allowed him to avoid Garchomp's Flamethrower.

Hey. Figured since i'm new here (And I had done UMC before) i'd throw my hat into the ring. I have completed Fire and Water challenges Gens I-III, as well as Poison. So to start anew...

GROUND UMC!

Started on Leafgreen (For Sandshrew) called myself Gaia and picked Bulbasaur. Since I forgot Nidoran can't be caught before Brock (Me playing yellow to much) I just beat Brock, and picked up Nidoran and Geodude. Now the challenge begins! I'm almost done with Mt. Moon, and then i'm gonna pick up a Sandshrew, and train to take down Misty, which is going to be a difficult first 'boss' for this challenge. I'm thinking of not evolving Nidorina so that I can have a poke that doesent get destroyed by Starmie.

Chapter 1 - Two UMC's at once?!


One UMC isn't good enough now! For an extra boost, I'll just get started on my Grass UMC. Now...I'm using a ROM for this, but I won't hack. Anyway, I got the basic controls, and Prof. Oak said his crap. I am a dude, and I made my character's name...well, Kobora. You'd expect that, eh? Now...my rival. I'll name him Zero just to have a tradition for my Kanto runs.

Ok...here we go. Kanto time. Let's go in the grass to own pokemon like we did in Yellow! Wait...Oak is stopping me now. What the hell, man. Well, he's dragging me to his lab. He has three poke balls on his desk, so it's pretty obvious which one I'm gonna pick. Yup. Bulbasaur. It's a Grass UMC, so why wouldn't I pick Bulbasaur. The bad news.....Zero picked Charmander. Now he wants to battle me, huh? Fine. Let's do this! It's just a lot of back and forth until his Charmander got owned, and Buddy (My Bulbasaur) leveled up. Now...onward to Viridian City!

Route 1, eh? Ok...Buddy can get some training in, but I wanna check out Viridian City first. Looks like Oak had an order ready to go...I guess. Ok. Back to Pallet Town. Now...we delivered the parcel to Oak, so he gave me and Zero...a Pokedex. Next time...I'm heading for Pewter City.

Update #2 on White.

• Got the Plume fossil in Relic Castle and revived Archen - named him Archer. Hunter evolved into Unfezant.
• Got to Nimbasa City and beat N, then beat Elesa for the Bolt Badge.
• Went across Driftviel Drawbridge, catching a Ducklett named Lady along the way - it took a while just to find one.
• In Driftveil City, I found Team Galactic in the Cold Storage.
• Challenged Clay but Excadrill's Rock Slide kept owning me, so I trained a bit on Rt. 6, eventually evolving Archer into Archeops.
• Beat Clay with Archer's Dig on Excadrill and Acrobatics on Palpitoad after Lady took out Krokorok.
• Beat Bianca, then entered Chargestone Cave, where I saved.

Nother Update for Electric UMC:

Went to Pastoria, thinking that I had to beat Wake next for some reason.
Couldn't, so I went all the way back to Veilstone.
Beat Maylene easily w/ Vegas.
Beat Galactic Grunts, got Fly, caught a Staraviaslave.
Flew back to Pastoria (that was convenient) and very easily beat Wake.
Chased down the Grunt and bested him in combat. Got SecretPotion
Used SecretPotion. Got Charm
Gave Granny the Charm, defeated Grunt and Cyrus, got Surf (Psyduckslave)
Flew to Jubilife and surfed to Canalave City.
Byron: Much easier than I thought he would be. Double Team x6 against Magneton while he did no damage to Vegas, then I would use two shadow balls, he would heal, 2 more shadow balls, he healed, etc. Finally killed it. Bastiodon fell to two Discharges, and Steelix to three Shadow Balls.
Fought two commanders and won!
Defeated Candice fairly easily with Vegas.
Saw Brown get humiliated by Jupiter.
Took down Cyrus and Jupiter.

Started another UMC - going with Dark types.

No Kanto needed, so I skip to Silver.

• Hacked in a Houndour named Devil at the beginning.
• Beat Falkner and Bugsy with Ember.
• Got to Goldenrod, beat Whitney with Bite spam.
• Devil evolved into Houndoom after the battle.
• Went to Ecruteak, then went back to get Eevee.
• Bred an Eevee with Ditto so I could learn Pursuit. Named him Kuro.
• With help from the Haircut brothers, Kuro evolved into Umbreon at L16 and learned Pursuit.
• Went back to Ecruteak and beat Morty easily with Kuro's Pursuit.
• Headed to Olivine and beat the Lighthouse.
• Surfed to Cianwood and beat Chuck with Kuro's Return + Confuse Ray + 2 DynamicPunch misses.
• Flew to Olivine, healed Amphy and beat Jasmine easily with Devil.
• Went to Mahagony.
• Went to Lake of Rage and beat Gyarados.
• Saved at start of TR Hideout.

Beat Cyrus
Took Giratina out with 2 shadow balls.
After visiting Professor Rowan, FINALLY caught Electabuzz, the last member of my team, who I named Naples.
Taught Naples Hyper Beam, Focus Blast, and Psychic.
Trained Naples on some Fishermen. He soon learned Thunderbolt.
Did some Vs. Seeking after I defeated everyone on the Route. Stopped when I got him to 48.
Took on the Gym. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Naples took out Jolteon, fainted to Electavire, was revived by Luxray, fainted again to Electavire, and finally, I said "screw it" and took everything out with Vegas and Shadow Ball.
Defeated Brown at the Pokemon League gates.
Defeated Aaron.
Defeated Bertha.
Defeated Flint.
Defeated Lucian.
Used a Max Elixer on Vegas. He needed it (0 Dark Pulses, 0 Shadow Balls, 3 Double Teams, 4 Thunderbolts.
Cynthia:
