Not updating for a while (Damn Magneton doesn't level easy), and I know I won't have to worry about this for a while, (because i'm in Kanto) but what level should I be for Red?

And is it just me, or is there hardly anyone here today? And finally, I think the speed button sucks- mainly 'cause I don't have emulators.

I'm pretty late posting here I'm doing an ultimate monotype challenge of the fighting type. Currently playing Pokémon Yellow with the following team:
- Primeape lv 56
- Machop lv 23
- Poliwag lv 10

Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Dragon).

Final Update (#3) on Platinum.

• Beat Saturn and Mars at the Lakes, then trudged to Snowpoint City.
• Beat Candice with some difficulty, then got Ice Beam for Ace.
• Cleared out the TG Warehouse and HQ, beating Cyrus in the process.
• Climbed Mt. Coronet and beat Cyrus in the Distortion World.
• Went to Sunyshore, where Volkner was crushed by Gratch.
• Surfed to Victory Road and ran through it.
• Beat Karl in the Pokemon Center, then used my Rare Candies to get Ace to L70 and Gratch to L71.
• Beat the Elite Four easily, then beat Cynthia to become the Champion!

It sort of depends on how many Pokemon you have, and how well you're covered. For my Electric, all I know is that my Ampharos ended at 68. That's about average, I think for me at least. I think the lowest I could win was on Fire, where I had like a 58 and a 62. It also gets easier the more Pokemon you have, especially if you have like 70+ revives.

Well maybe you should get emulators? Then you will realize how awesome the speed button is. Your team too low to beat Red? Go beat the elite four about 10 times. That takes like 10 minutes on an emulator.

Also, an update for me: I started Rock on Silver.

Got Chikorita.
Defeated WATER the Rival.
Caught Boulder the Geodude.
Boulder evolved between Ilex Forest and Goldenrod.
He was traded into a Golem shortly after.
After Morty, I got my other Pokemon, Coral the Corsola.
Instead of doing Lighthouse or Cianwood, I went to the Lake of Rage to get Hidden Power.
Corsola tested out Hidden Power on a wild Goldeen. Not Very Effective. *sigh* please don't be water...
Defeated Chuck barely. Poliwrath killed Boulder, but missed Dynamicpunch twice so Coral finished him.
Got fly and flew to Ilex Forest. I was super effective against a Paras! Corsola's HP isn't Water, its Fire! Too bad I already have Fire Punch on Boulder. I guess Corsola does have a bit more Special Attack...

I beat the E4! I wont do Unova anytime soon, so its standby for now. Anyway heres my final team.

Mech Pengu lv 55 "The coverer" Sinnoh co-MVP, Cynthia co-MVP Overall MVP

Surf, Flash Cannon, Drill Peck, Avalanche
- This was my most reliable team member. He was never useless, as he always at least kept up with the better.

Barrel lv 52 "The powerhouse" Sinnoh co-MVP, E4/Cynthia LVP

Waterfall, Return, Super Fang, Superpower
- Ha helped me through the first half of the game with no major problems, but ceased in use when Jetboat took over.

Jetboat lv 55 "The sweeper" E4 MVP, Cynthia co-MVP

Waterfall, Ice Punch, Crunch, Dig
- Ice Punch was so much worth the hour in the underground. It made Jetboat fly to the highs of usefulness. Awesome.

Mudman lv 54 "The survivor"

- Never learned Earthquake = Never became useful. Except stalling Cynthias Togekiss, with would never have been possible without this.

• Well, my first Pokemon was Rocky the Onix via the trade in Violet City, man was he a pain to train early.
• Barely beat Lad's Bayleef after beating Bugsy.
• Headbutt gave me Roller the Pineco in Ilex Forest.
• Beat Whitney pretty easily.
• Taught Roller Rollout and Headbutt.
• Caught Nutbolt the Magnemite up past Ecruteak, then beat Morty.
• Got to Olivine, did the Lighthouse, Surfed to Cianwood.
• Nutbolt and Roller evolved.
• Nutbolt beat Chuck with Thundershocks.
• Taught Rocky and Roller Return.
• Rocky beat Jasmine thanks to Iron Tail misses.
• Went to Mahogony and beat Gyarados and TR, then destroyed Pryce with Roller's Rollout.
• Beat the Radio Tower, then headed to Blackthorn City.
• Taught Nutbolt Thunder, then beat Clair with difficulty.
• Surfed to and went through Victory Road, beating Lad easily.
• Saved in the Indigo Plateau PC.

Don't know if I said that I beat Bug on Crystal yet, but I did that. And then I beat Rock. I'll post later with the Red screenshot and the final team.

Then I started Bug on Sapphire. Right now I just saved the Captain from team Aqua in the Museum. Team is Dustox (like lv. 25) and Nincada (like lv. 15 I think)

Final Update (#3) on Silver.

• Sped through Kanto, the first 7 Gym Leaders didn't stand a chance.
• For Blue, I had to use a couple X Speeds on Roller to beat Arcanine with Rollout.
• Taught Toxic to Nutbolt in place of Thundershock.
• Headed up the mountain to Silver Cave, and all three members were at L60.
• Defeated Red! I was saved by a Quick Claw activation on Roller on Charizard, who OHKOed with Rollout.

Update on Bug Sapphire: I beat Wattson quite easily, but used a buuuuuuuunch of Super Potions and Soda Pops. Strategy was:

Magnemite and Magneton: Soloed by Scythe, 6 Sand Attacks each, and lots of stalling and using my moves to do no damage. Switched every time I got confused, so Buzz would sometimes take a Sonicboom, and then I would switch back while they wasted their time with Electric moves. Had to resort to struggle from Scythe.
Voltorb: Quite easily defeated with Buzz's Confusion, though I did need a Soda Pop. He learned Psybeam as soon as I defeated him, come on. I could have used that.

After that fight, Scythe was Lv. 19, so I spent a level training him and got him evolved, as well as got my Shedinja. I went to Rustboro to get the Exp. Share, which I gave to Shedinja.

Oh yeah, and I also started Crystal with Dark Types. I hacked in a Houndour at the beginning. He quite easily defeated the Sprout tower and Falkner. After that, I made it to Azalea and took out Team Rocket. Its Bugsy time.

• Went to Opelucid City and beat Drayden pretty easily - sweep with Zolata.
• Saved on Rt. 10.

Won't bother posting the team right now, Ill wait until I beat the e4

Ok, this is going to be a huge update. Evolved Sinuous, leveled him and Serpentine to 50 whilst beating the game corner and owning every trainer I came across, including Erika and Silph co, and Sabrina and the fighting mini-Gym. Then proceeded to destroy Blaine and Giovanni, and headed to victory road. Beat everyone through Victory road, evolving both Serpentine and Sinuous, and leveling them to 59 and 60, respectively. I then proceeded to be thoroughly annihilated by Lorelei 14 times. Eventually I manage to get past her one-hit KO Ice Beams and beat her. After that, the rest of the Elite Four was a breeze. Including my so-called awesome rival. Yay! Leg one finished. On to Soul Silver! I'll hack in Gible, and hopefully find some other dragons soon!
