I'm going to participate in the ultimate Monotype Challenge and I will be doing a poison type Challenge, I will be going on a slow rate as i am busy with uni and work, but Slow and steady. I will update as much a possible also

Final Update for Fighting UMC!

Final Update (#8) on Black.

• First, I used Rare Candies to get Blazin' and Seeker to L72, and Punker, Neo, and Whiplash to L73.
• Then I beat the Elite Four and Alder to become the Champion of Unova!

After beating Lance, I was sent back to New Bark Town. I got the S.S Pass, and took the S.S Aqua to Vermillion City. Now....I took out the Gym Leaders, got the Magnet Train Pass, and caught the Snorlax with my Master Ball. Now...Blue...prepare yourself.

• When I arrived in Oreburgh City, I traded a Machop for Kazza the Abra.
• Trained Kazza until he evolved into Kadabra.
• Beat Roark after many resets, due to Kazza disobeying.
• Kazza was a pain, but I eventually made it to Eterna City
• Caught Paladin the Meditite in Mt. Coronet.
• Beat Gardenia, then barely beat Jupiter with a Miracle Eye/Psybeam combo on Skuntank.
• Got a bike, went down Cycling Road, and caught Liberty the Bronzor in Wayward Cave.
• Saved on my way to Hearthome City.

*UPDATE ON POKEMON CRYSTAL ULTIMATE POISON MONOTYPE CHALLENGE*

THE PATH TO PEWTER
I went into DIGLETT'S CAVE and met a robust man, he told me this was DIGLETT'S CAVE and that there were DIGLETT ahead. I went on through and came out the other side in PEWTER CITY. First thing I did was travel to the POKEMON CENTER to heal my party, then I headed straight for the GYM.

PEWTER GYM
When entering PEWTER GYM I saw that there was only one trainer, CAMPER JERRY. I walked up to him and he challenged me to a battle. He sent out his SANDSLASH against my ARBOK. He lowered my ACCURACY with SAND-ATTACK but I took it down with a BITE attack. I moved on to BROCK, the GYM LEADER.

The battle started out between his GRAVELER and my ARBOK. ARBOK bit him twice to make him faint, and with that, ARBOK grew to level 60. BROCK then sent out RHYHORN. I used the same tactic as before and bit him twice, and he fell. Next up was OMASTAR. I tried using ACID on it which had little effect, and it used SURF on me. So I tried to get a quick BITE in, and then it took down my ARBOK with SURF. I sent out my WEEPINBELL next. I used RAZOR LEAF on it, which was a CRITICAL HIT and SUPER EFFECTIVE. My next opponent was KABUTOPS. Using the same method, I used RAZOR LEAF with the same outcome of a CH and SE (with the KABUTOPS FAINTING), WEEPINBELL grew to level 56. BROCK's last POKEMON was ONIX. Like the last two rounds, I used RAZOR LEAF and took down ONIX. With that, BROCK was defeated and I earned the BOULDER BADGE.

CELADON CITY
So I went to the PKMN CENTER to heal my party and withdrew my FLY-SLAVE. I then flew to SAFRON to walk to CELADON. Wondering why I didn't face this GYM earlier, I headed straight to the GYM (after securing my FLY spot at the CELADON PKMN CENTER).

CELADON GYM
When entering the GYM, I fought two little twins. The battle started off with a VICTREEBELL against my ARBOK, it bit the VICTREEBELL down. The next POKEMON called out was VILEPLUME. Same as before, I made it FLINCH by using BITE and took it down. My next opponent was PICNICKER TANYA. She started the battle with an EXEGGUTOR. I bit it, once again, and took it down with one hit. I then moved on to BEAUTY JULIA. She sent out a PARAS.....BITE is one heck of an attack. I took it down with one hit and decided to repeat the process for each POKEMON she would send out. EXEGGCUTE was next with her last POKEMON being PARASECT. Finally, I was at ERIKA.

The battle started out with ERIKA's TANGELA. Using the same tactic as the rest of the GYM, I kept using BITE until it fainted. Next up was another VICTREEBELL. ARBOK bit it a couple times and it fainted, raising ARBOK to level 61. ERIKA then sent out BELLOSSOM. I decided to switch it up a bit and used STRENGTH for this one. She fainted after three hits. ERIKA's last POKEMON was her JUMPLUFF. Going back to my old strategy, I bit it until it fainted and then the RAINBOW BADGE was mine.

CYCLING ROAD AND FUCHSIA CITY
Before traveling down CYCLING ROAD, I stopped and healed my ARBOK. It was a smooth ride down CYCLING ROAD as I chose the path that had no TRAINERS on it. Once in the gates of FUCHSIA, I had to battle a BIRD KEEPER, and then was on my way. I stopped at the POKEMON CENTER and then headed to the GYM. I swapped my ARBOK for my VENOMOTH and then went inside.

Ah, the GYM of invisible walls and many GYM LEADERS. Lucky for me, I have the guide to the game, so I walked straight to JANINE, KOGA's daughter.

She started the battle with her CROBAT. My VENOMOTH used PSYCHIC on it, which ended with a one hit knockout. Next up was her VENOMOTH. Same as before, my VENOMOTH used PSYCHIC and it was a 1-hit KO. She then sent out WEEZING. Using PSYCHIC on it, my VENOMOTH gained a level to 57. She then sent out another WEEZING. Just like the last one, it went down with a PSYCHIC attack. Her last POKEMON was ARIADOS. I used PSYCHIC for the last time, and won a SOUL BADGE.

Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Poison).

Started Silver.

• After the initial plot stuff, I caught Count the Zubat in Dark Cave, and Ghost the Gastly in Sprout Tower.
• Beat Falkner and moved through Union Cave.
• Cleared the Well of TR, then beat Bugsy.
• Gorman went down, then I went through Ilex Forest to Goldenrod.
• Up north of Goldenrod, I caught Rex the Nidoran♂. He evolved into Nidorino quickly.
• Beat Whitney (lost once), then went up to Ecruteak City.
• Explored the Burned Tower after beating Gorman again, and Count evolved into Golbat.
• Challenged the gym and beat Morty (lost once) thanks to Confuse Ray and Bite.
• Saved in Ecruteak City.

Because I just couldn't figure out how to Emulate B/W (I tried 20 different things, using walkthroughs online, youtube videos, everything. Nothing would work.) I gave up. So, I guess I'm going to have to play through B/W on the actual cartridge. I'll try to like take a picture of my screen with a camera or something, and then upload those pictures, which will be awful. Here we go...

Started Normal. Named myself Blaine (I thought I would do fire first, but I changed my mind as soon as I started.)
Caught a Lilipup and a Patrat where I could catch them. Now I'm training for the first gym.

Picked up from where i left off training Kakuna. I continued training until he finally evolved into Beedrill. With my new Beedrill and my Bulbasaur i felt it was time to face Brock (could not be bothered to level grind). I healed up and made my way to the Gym. Bulbasaur basically demolished the gym and evolved as a nice little bonus. Healed up again and headed to Mt. Moon. Battled all who stood in between me and Mt. Moon, Healed up and Entered. Voyaged through until i saw light and i was free. I then proceeded to Cerulean City. I healed up yet again and went to battle my rival. I actually had some trouble with his Pidgeotto but Beedrill managed to pull through. Headed up to Nugget Bridge battling everyone to claim my glorious prize a nugget (sarcasm much). The went to work so i saved it

All right haven't updated in ages so here goes:
-After beating all the trainers in Johto, I went to battle the Gym leaders (And destroyed them all)
-I used the TM Shock Wave on Needles (Instead of Thunder fang)
-After beating Blue, I got Rock climb from Oak and taught it to Tailshine (Instead of Focus Blast)
-Charged through Mt. Silver, and saved before challenging Red (Mock charge. Just to see how well I do). Got destroyed. Stupid HGSS being so much higher than GSC!
-Became lost as to how to train for Red: Tried training in Mt. Silver, terrible exp, tried training in the e4, got destroyed (because again they are so much higher in HGSS than in GSC the 2nd time 'round)
-Been stumped for a while now until (Bing!) I found Falkner in Celadon Dept. Store. Am now grinding against him

I beat the first gym somehow. I just realized that there is no place to train before the first gym... Managed to beat Cress's Lillipup with my Lillipup, and got a leer off on the water monkey (I'm reaaaaally bad with the names, since I haven't played but one runthrough of it). Lillipup fainted, and I sent in Patrat, who used bide and survived with like 7 health while the monkey used work up/water gun. Bide one hit him.

I would like to do a Monotype challenge in my Sapphire with Poison-type. =) Is that okay? (Because as far as I can remember, Zubat is the first Poison-type you can get...)

Wurmple is the first eligible Pokemon for you, but only if it evolves into Cascoon. Or, you could just wait til Petalburg Woods and catch a Cascoon directly, but hey, that wouldn't be nearly as fun.
