Quick question, is breeding allowed?

Well, you can't trade in eggs, no (unless they are type dragon or something), but if you're using the in-game daycare to do so, I don't see why not, as you have to catch the pokemon in-game to do so.

hai guys I am nearly done my johto monotype just need to beat red but my team is all under level 60. What level should i be and where should i train. I am doing a bug one. Thanks to anyone that answers

I did my bug monotype with around that level, but i'm the king of underleveled battleing and Revival Herbs...
I'd say, have a good moveset (I used Stealth Rocks and screens, but Toxic would be handy too)

Edit: I looked at your team, and maybe i can help you with the movesets. Like, i knew from the beginning that Ledian has bad attack, so i made him a screener, and i taught Forretress Stealth Rock for Charizard. For Pikachu, just try untill Iron Tail misses/Stall him out of PP by using a Revival Herb every turn

Thanks for the advice, i think i will make Ledian a screener and that stealth rock idea sounds pretty good as well. Normally i use heracross with brightpowder and hope his attack misses then used rock slide. Also for pikachu i could use oinsir with earth quake???

• Proceeded to Vermillion Gym. Nothing too difficult.
• Went back to Route 2 to get Flash.
• After going back to Cerulean, I evolved Elekid with a Rare Candy :D

i think i did pretty well today. considering i had a hectic last day of school.
heres platinum.

-began the game and called myself KICARIO
- obviously chose piplup for my fire challenge (for all those who don't get my bad humor i of course got chimchar)
- got tha pokedex nicknamed chimchar BLAZE (how creative)
- got to jubilife, battled rival (NEMESIS) and won, surprisingly easily.
- continued on and got to oreburgh and blaze evolved yipeee now i stand a chance against roark.
- defeated roark with serious mach punch noobing.
- left oreburgh, my least favourite city.
- went back to jubilife and killed team galactic.
- went to floaroma town and defeated mars
- left floaroma town and got to eterna woods
- met cheryl and got through eterna woods
- got a sooth bell (dont see me needing that anytime soon)
- destroyed gardenia after noobing with flame wheel
- met NEMESIS outside galactic building eterna
- met cyrus at the pokemon statue
- met cynthia who gave me HM CUT
- entered the galactic building and met looker
- saved and turned it off.

ugh just did another huge type up of everything and ten a stupid pop up thing came up and it all got deleted. cant be bothered to type it all up again so in short. got to pastoria city and caught a flareon(cinders) and houndoom(ashes) blaze and cinders are both level 37 and ashes is still in training at level 32.

Two gyms in one update! :D

• Caught a Voltorb on Route 10. Grinded it to Lv 30 :)
• Voltorb evolved into Electrode.
• Went through Rock Tunnel.
• Headed west to Celadon City.
• Bought two Thunderstones at the Dept. Store. Evolved Pikachu with one of them.
• Obtained Eevee.
• Obtained some Tea.
• Got the 3 TM's from the girl on top of the Celadon Mansion.
• Used save state abuse to get 8000 coins for two Thunderbolt TM's :D
• Evolved Eevee once it learned Bite at lv 30
• Defeated Erika with minimal effort.
• Defeated Giovanni at the Rocket Hideout.
• Obtained Psychic from Mr. Psychic in Saffron.
• Saved Mr. Fuji at Pokemon Tower.
• Headed south for Fuschia.
• Woke Snorlax up and caught it (just to fill the dex)
• Reached Fuschia after a boatload of trainers.
• Got HM03 and HM04.
• Defeated Koga with Jolteon.

My progress is somewhat slow due to the fact that I also have The First Route Challenge to play and manage. But, I just beat Brock in Red. Remember, I'm doing the Ultimate Normal-type Challenge.

- Chose Squirtle, beat Gary.
- Got the Parcel from Viridian, got Pokedex, got Map, bought Poke Balls.
- On Route 1, caught Pidgey and Rattata, deposited Squirtle in PC.
- Trained them both to Lv9 before fighting Gary again. Beat him.
- Went through Viridian Forest, trained Pidgey and Rattata each to Lv15.
- Fought and defeated Brock.

Boom. D-U-N DONE...with Kanto at least. Let's see how it happened

Spoiler:

-Beat Sabrina and her gym trainers with only Amy Pond the Starmie. Her ****ing alakazam kept using recover...pissed me off.
-headed straight for cinnabar island, didn't bother with the trainers
-revived my dome fossil, added weepangel to my party over rory the poliwrath
-ran through cinnabar mansion, leveling up weepangel until I had a kabutops
-swept through the gym with ease, weepangel did most of the work
-headed to viridian to take down giovanni
-once again easily beat the gym, this time used a fair combination of all my pokes
-headed west, beat my rival with a LOT of trouble from venusaur...that ***** killed 5 of 6...luckily pulled through with the win
-traveled through victory road, beat the trainers there, nothing exciting really
-decided screw it i'll just go in the elite four with no items or level grinding and see how far i can get. when i got all the way to lance with no items i decided to hell with level grinding i'll just buy a bunch of revives and full restores and go for it

ELITE 4 OVERVIEW

Spoiler:

-Lead with Dalek the gyarados against Lorelei. Used T-Bolt on her dewgong, cloyster, slowbro and lapras. Hit jynx with a nice fire blast to the face
-Amy pond the starmie shinned against Bruno. Took down his Onixes with surf, the hitmons and machamp with a psychic each
-Amy pond continued through Agatha, with a little help for The Doctor the blastoise. The gengars and golbat were taken down with Amy Pond, The Doctor switched in when Amy was confused to EQ haunter and arbok.
-Lance was really a team effort. His gyrados was taken down with a Thunderbolt to the face by mine. His dragonairs were killed by weepangels blizzard. Aerodactyl died from Amy Ponds surf, and dragonite died from Torchwood the Slowbros ice beam
-Now for the champion. Pidgeot took a pair of thunderbolts from Dalek.
Alakazam took 3 surfs from Amy. Rhydon drowned from surf in one hit from Amy. Arcanine took 2 surfs from Weepangel. Gyrados took another pair of Tbolts from Dalek. Venusaur took a psychic from amy then 2 fire blasts from dalek. So that's that

Of all the times I've tried to get a shiny Legend, this thing decides to show up and laugh at me WITHOUT EVEN SR'ing. What sucks badly is that this is on an emulator. I can't even use it in my challenge :(

All of a sudden, I hate that no legendaries rule.

Start of Final Ultimate Monotype Challenge (#17) - Water

I saved the best for last!

Anyway, I'm going to be using the remakes as well as Emerald/Platinum (even though I will have to do another one on GSC if I want the SMM title for Johto and one on RBY (along with Flying) for the Kanto one). I will also be avoiding the speed button as much as possible, so I can draw it out as far as I can. AND I will attempt to always finish with a full party of 6. Hopefully I won't get too bored with grinding. HeartGold is gonna be a long game...

So here's my first update. The first game is on LeafGreen.

Name: Devin
Rival: Tyson
Starter: Squirtle (Duh!)

• I nicknamed my Squirtle Torrent, and he had a Modest nature right off the bat.
• I beat Tyson on Route 22 with Torrent at L8-9, then headed through Viridian Forest.
• Beat all the bugs easily, and arrived in Pewter City, home of the Rock-type gym leader, Brock.
• Torrent was at L14 by now and knew Water Gun, so he wiped the floor with Brock and grew a level.

• Then I fought my way to Mt. Moon, where I bought Poseidon the Magikarp for 500 bucks.
• Made my way through Mt. Moon, training Poseidon up.
• Eventually I made it out and arrived in Cerulean City. Taught Mega Punch to Torrent.
• I beat Tyson again with some difficulty against Bulbasaur thanks to Mega Punch and Bite.
• After beating Nugget Road and saving Bill, I challenged Misty.

• I headed south to Vermilion City, and after Poseidon reached L19, I used a Rare Candy on him so he would evolve into Gyarados.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• I taught Poseidon Secret Power, then boarded the S.S. Anne.
• After beating all the trainers, I took on Tyson and won easily.
• I then got Cut from the Captain, and taught it to Ch'Ding, a Farfetch'd I traded a Spearow for earlier.
• I hacked my way into the gym and beat the trainers in there with Torrent.
• After unlicking the door, I took on Lt. Surge.
• Torrent took out everyone except for Raichu, and Poseidon was able to survive a Shock Wave to finish him off with Secret Power.
  
  
  
  
  
  
• Then I headed back to Cerulean City and got the Bicycle, and saved on Route 9.
• Rock Tunnel is coming up next, as is a new team member!

i think im gonna quit the fire challenge as last night i got all eight badges then someone walked into me and my game froze up and i am now back at pastoria. i honestly don't know why i didn't save it,but i guess it was because i didnt turn i off all day. my fire challenge is over.

Well i have been trainig and after fighitn whitney and borck rwenty times each i now have a lv 70 heracross and pinisr. Now i am working on scizor, but ledain, ariados and forretress will be difficult, any suggestions? I have never actually defeated red before i could never be bothored to train for it. :)

Well, I guess I never updated on that Flying Ultimate Monotype, so here:

Spoiler:

• Left off with a level 14 Pidgey (Rasen) and a level 14 Zubat (Shobat) in Union Cave.
• Rasen evolved into a Pidgeotto in the Azalea Gym.
• Shobat ended up soloing Bugsy.
• Defeated Rival. (Apparently I named him Tao.)
• Shobat evolved into a Golbat.
• Ran through Whitney with Shobat's Confuse Ray and Bite.
• Also destroyed Morty with Bite.
• Climbed the lighthouse.
• Rasen soloed Chuck with Gust.
• Decided to skip the Olivine Gym for now, and moved on to the Lake of Rage.
• Rasen evolved into Pidgeot.
• Caught the Red Gyarados, named it "Crimson". Made it a welcome addition to the team.
• Went back to take down Jasmine with Bite from Shobat and Surf from Crimson.
• Pryce went down fairly easily.
• At level 40, Shobat finally evolved into a Crobat.
• Defeated Team Rocket, and travelled to Blackthorn City.
• Defeated Clair.
• Defeated my rival again, and trained Crimson up to level 50.
• Defeated Lance and the E4 with some ease.

• Got aboard the ship, got off at Vermillion City, but got back on because I forgot to get the Radio Card in Goldenrod (I always end up forgetting that.) Luckily, there are more trainers aboard this time.
• Flew back to Vermillion. Got the badge.
• Also defeated Sabrina. Saved for the night.
