After spending three hours running around the safari zone I had my whole team assmembled. Scarecrow and Reptar had joined the team
Scarecrow was pretty easy to train up and soon he was at a good level. The same cannot be said for Reptar. It took for ever to train him but finally he got fairly strong and evolved
Beat Jasmine with just Deville and continued on to Mahogany. Defeated the Red gyarados and am about to head into the rocket hideout

Ocean's Mono-Bug Type Run
Update #2:

Good Day. And welcome back to my Mono-Bug Run of Emerald. let's see what was rought in this update.

Firstly, Wriggle evolved! OMG! I am so excited. He became a Silcoon, as I had wished.

After getting through Petalburg Woods, and through Rustboro, I captured the third member of our lovely team, Kaguya, the Careful Nincada. She will become a Ninjask eventually. Yay for ninja-fast Pokemon! ^_^

Finally, I trained Squirm and Wriggle, and they evolved! Now I have them at final stage. Soon we will be taking on Roxanne, but not this time.


Accomplished in this update:
Evolved Wriggle to Silcoon
Caught Kaguya, the Careful Nincada
Evolved Wriggle and Squirm into Beautifly and Dustox

Next time, we take on our first gym leader! Until then, C'Ya! ^_^

Final Update on Emerald. (#10, my numbering was off since the 3rd update, lol)

• Well, it took a while, but I finally was able to train everyone to L72.
• Nessie and Pacific were grinded on rematches, mostly the ones around Mauville (They're in the erratic exp group).
• I used Rare Candies on Kraken since she takes the most experience to raise (Slow group).
• The rest (Torrent, Lucy and Seabreeze - Medium Fast or Medium Slow groups) were raised by the Elite Four. Usually I would lose against Wallace's last Pokemon, as it was easier and faster to respawn outside the gates rather than wait for the credits.
• After some more moveset tweaking, I taught Waterfall to Torrent and headed to Meteor Falls.
• Found Steven and beat him! The play-by-play and video are below.

Well, I started the Sinnoh leg of my Water UMC. Going with Platinum.

• After the beginning stuff, I picked Piplup and named him Torrent as usual.
• Reached Jubilife City and Dawn cracks me up.

• Continued on through the Oreburgh Gate and after I cleared out the Mine, Torrent evolved into Prinplup.

• Then I took on the gym, and beat Roark easily with Bubble and Metal Claw.

• Taught Rock Smash to a Psyduck, and with the Coal Badge in hand, I headed on to Floaroma Town after getting Flash (also for Psyduck) from the lower level of Oreburgh Gate.
• Infiltrated the Valley Windworks and took down Mars easily.

• I was then able to get the next member of my team, and caught Lark the Buizel.
• Started training Lark up and got through Eterna Forest to Eterna City.
• Beat the trainers east of Eterna as well, and prepared to take on Gardenia.
• Gardenia was really hard to beat. I used X Items (Sp. Def and Attack)and a few Super Potions, and after several rematches, was finally able to put a hit on Roserade with Torrent and OHKO with Pluck.

Well its been waywaywayway too long since i posted here, I dont plan on starting my Fire Monotype again, im close to the Lugia/Ho-Oh Battle in HG/SS (Cant remember which one im playing on... i think it might be HG) But im still doing it. I also started doing Monotypes for every type in Kanto, i only have Bug and Flying to go, but I'm not sure on doing Dragon/Ghost/Ice. I want to, but that means i need to hack and i have no idea how to on an Emulator. All the ones i did have beaten Brock so far.

3rd Update Johton Dark UMC

Cleaned out the rocket hideout easily with Lances help.
Fought Pryce the ice gym leader and once again Deville made it easy. The prof tole me team rocket took over goldenrod so off I went. Saved the Radio Tower through a combination of stealth, persuasion, courage and coolness.
Ice Path was easy and soon I was in Blackthorn. Clairs gym was actually hard because every trainer had either a horsea or dratini/dragonair with aqua tail, and with a fire type and ground rock type half my team was weak to them. awww well
Clair was sort of hard but we pulled through when deville got a burn on Kingdra, hax. Beat the Kimono Girls and Ho-oh.
Got thorugh Victory Road and beat Damien easily. Now training for the E4.

Update for Final Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Water).

Update #2 on Platinum.

Of Grunts and Ghosts.

Spoiler:

• Cleared the TG Eterna Building of Grunts, then took on Jupiter. Her Skuntank critted Torrent twice with Night Slash but I won the third time.

• After getting the Bike, I rolled down Cycling Road, where Lark evolved into Floatzel!

• Made my way to Hearthome City, where I picked up the third member of my team, Aquaman the Eevee.
• After training in Wayward Cave, I took on the Hearthome Gym.
• Fantina was easy since Lark had Crunch, which OHKOed Mismagius and Haunter after Torrent took care of Duskull.

• I ran into Tyson on my way out of the city and defeated him easily as well with a team effort.

• Then I made my way into the Solaceon Ruins, where I found a Water Stone for Aquaman (which I haven't used yet) and HM05, Defog.
• I'm still saved in Solaceon Town. Gonna do the Lost Tower next.

Not many people do this anymore, do they? I plan on doing 1 Gym a Day so that i should get up to SSoHPKC's Emerald Playthrough as fast as possible.

-Ashe Jr. VS Espeon: One Hitted with Flare Blitz
-Torcher VS Mr. Mime: Torcher Died after missing with Fire Blast twice, Blaze One Hitted with Shadow Claw
-Blaze VS Alakazam: Alakazam used Psychic, I use Flamethrower, it used Psychic again (13HP Left) and then I Shadow Claw'ed it for Victory
-Marsh Badge! GET!
-Went and got Psychic from guy in house and then taught it to Torcher

Dark UMC Johto Update

After training against the Elite 4 for a while and using a few rare candies my team was ready.

Will
Deville pretty much soloed Will with Dark Pulse, and Sacrecrow helped out against Exeggutor with Fly.

Koga
Once again Deville was the main man, taking out Ariados, Forretress and Venomoth. Reptar eartquaked Muk and after a screech and a rock slide Crobat was done.

Bruno
I always knew this guy would be hard. Scarecrow held out against Hitmontop to get the first KO. Then he sends out Hitmonchan. Scarecrow got him down to about a 1/3 then was KOed. Deville finishes him with a quick Flamethrower. Machamp used cross chop and got deville down to red but I got lucky with a flamethrower burn. Machamp knocked out Deville and then Reptar finished machamp off. Hitmolle and Onix were both finished with an eartquake.

Karen
Shadow used headbutt and eventually beat her Umbreon. Houndoom OHKOed Vileplume with Flamethrower. Reptar took down Murkrow and Houndoom with a rock slide and earthquake respectivley. And one dark pulse later I'd won.

Lance
The first I fought him His dragonite kicked my butt. So new straegy. On his gyarados I sent out shadow. I proceeded to use 6x Z defends, 6x X special defends and 6x X Attacks, healing when nessecary. Shadow then 2HKOed everyone on Lances team and I am now the Dark type master of Johto. I have a new respect for the X items.
Now off to Kanto. I have have just arrived in vermillion.

• The first thing I did was evolve Aquaman into Vaporeon.

• Then I climbed Lost Tower and moved on to Route 215, where I caught the next member of my team, Zuzu the Marill.
• Taught Zuzu Return and made my way to Veilstone City.
• After some Vitamin shopping, I grabbed the Dig TM for Zuzu and headed to the gym.
• Zuzu evolved into Azumarill in the gym.

• After beating the gym trainers, I took on Maylene and won with Lark and Zuzu (along with a few MooMoo Milks).

• After getting Dawn's Pokedex back, I grabbed the Fly HM (which I taught to a Starly I caught way back on Route 202), and went south to Pastoria.
• On the way there, Torrent finally evolved into Empoleon!

• After arriving in Pastoria, I visited the Move Maniac to teach Ice Fang to Lark and Water Gun to Aquaman.
• I then fished up my fifth team member, Inky the Remoraid.

After fighting the trainers around Vermillion city I challenged Lt Surge

Hmmm.... I'm doing a dark monotype and this gym is psychic, might be a struggle. Yeah as your guessing this was easy as pie. Deville dark pulsed alakazam and espeon and umbreon faint attacked Mr mime

Travelling West to Celadon, atfer some gambling and shopping Erika was challenged. She was another easy one. Deville Flamethrowed everyone to a OHKO except Bellossom who took two.

Janine*image removed*
The cycling road provived some good experince to my pokemon. Fuschia city used to have a safri zone but without it theres not much to do here anymore. Janine was actually sort of tricky. I started with Deville and after getting confused by Crobat and Toxiced by Weezing she fainted, but not without fainting them. One of her ariaods knocked ut Shaodw with swagger and poison jab. Scarcrow beat both the ariados though. Venomoth then knocked him out. But Reptar revnge killed it with Rock Slide.

Training on the bridge to Lavndar Town, Reptar learned stone edge and is one level away from evolving. Also am working on getting a dusk stone from the pokeathlon to evolve scarecrow.
