ok, so i beat red. the kanto gyms were dumb, so i have nothing to update with them, but i DID catch a houndour :D

I am halfway through Johto, I hadnt updated though. Sorry about that. I recall two Gym Battles
Chuck: His gym was difficult, all the pokemon were a higher level than me, but my Venonats Confusion helped for nearly everyone. Chuck himself fainted Venonat, so I used my Haunter to defeat his pokemon, with Night Shade, wasnt too hard.
Jasmine, Extremely easy, Arboks dig defeated her two magnemite, while Tentacool surf defeated Steelix, not much more to say.

Nope. You're supposed to stick with the same type for each one. That's why you can't have a Dark or Steel challenge, as those types didn't exist in the first games. ^^

As for my own challenge, I am still on a break, heh. I've been thinking of restarting Crystal so that I could record all of my battles for YouTube. I dunno if I'll do it though.

I beat sapphire. claydol was the toughest of steven's pokemon, but a few bulk ups and a return from steuben took it out easy.

beat team rocket again in goldenrod, caught a venonat in the bug catcher contest and replaced butterfree for it (i would have loved to kick ariados instead of butterfree from my team but i need that stupid dig...), trained it til it evolved, beat claire and went thru victory road, found an earthquake tm and a shiny onix there and defeated the rival once more, and now i gonna train my team to maybe lv. 45 and attempt the e4.

I am facing Red right now, he is nearly impossible, so Im going to grind, a lot.

P.S. Is there anyway to evolve my Haunter on the VBA?
