Uniting Aurora

Setting: This is Aurora. Aurora has five main regions. In each region there is a shrine to the resident god Pokemon.
There are the mountains to the north. Here, it is almost constantly snowing, and it is the second least populated region with about 50% mountain, 20% snowy field, and 30% small villages. The shrine is located on the largest mountain in the middle of the region. The temperature ranges from 20°(F) above zero to 40°(F) below zero

To the southeast, is the largest region: the Jungle. The jungle is almost completely, as the name implies, dense jungle. Local villages say that somewhere in the jungle there is a temple full of treasures from a civilization that is long gone. This is the least populated with about 90% jungle, and 10% civilization. The main village here is built around the shrine's temple. This is a very humid place with temperatures ranging from 85°(F) to 110°(F)
To the southwest of the mountains is the tropical beach. This is the most popular vacation area due to the beach and is the second most populated. 50% of this region is beach and the other 50% is beachside community. The shrine is in a hidden cave surrounded by water. The temperature is a comfortable 55°(F) to 75°(F).

If you look out to the ocean while standing on the beach, you will see a rather large island. The island is 40% civilization, and 30% beach and 30% forest. The shrine is off the coast of the island underwater. The climate is the same as the tropical beach.
In the middle of all of this is Solaria city. It is easily the most populated area on Aurora. It is 95% city, and 5% outskirts. The temperature ranges here from 20°(F) – 30° (F) in the northern parts, 65°(F) – 75°(F) in the west, 55°(F) – 65°(F) in the east, and 35°(F) – 75°(F) in the south and middle.

Aurora is not very technologically advanced, still using iron and steel weapons, and inventing the pokeball barely 50 years ago. Shortly after this invention, an evil team of trainers appeared, calling themselves "Team Obsidian". This evil team used Pokemon to desecrate the shrines, and turn the regions against each other. Part of this was done be persuading leaders of each region that the others were plotting against them. The other part was framing the other regions by making the desecration of the shrines look like another region did it.

Now Team Obsidian is in control of the Solaria city, and plans to wipe out the other regions and take Aurora for itself.

Plot: This is where you come in. Ten people, in teams of two, are going to go to each region, and try to fix the problems to unite Aurora and rise against Team Obsidian. It will not be easy though, as Team Obsidian will soon catch on and try to stop you. Your mission will vary depending on your region. In all of them, you will have to convince the leader that Team Obsidian has manipulated them. And you will need to fix the shrines of each region.

You go to sleep one night, dreading the next day. Its a Monday tomorrow, so you have to go back to work/school. Something doesn't seem right in your dreams though, (Well, more so than normal…) and when you wake up, its dark. This is not your home. You get up cautiously and walk out the door that you can only barely make out. You step out into a hallway, and look around. There are nine more doors across the hallway, and to your left (or right depending on which side of the hallway you are on.) there is a dim light. You walk towards the light and come to a circular room. Or at least from the lighted half of the room, it looks circular.

In the light there stands a man, and around you are nine other people. It is too dark to see what they look like, and you can barely see that they are there. This man explains the situation of Aurora to you and says that you and the other nine people are the ones who are going to save this island. He shows you three doors. One, he says, leads to a room full of weapons. You are allowed to pick two of them. Once finished there, you will head to the second door. This door will lead to a room with ten pokeball dispensers. You are allowed to pick any three starter level Pokemon. Once you are all equipped, he will open the final door. This door will lead to a hallway with five rooms. Each room will have a plaque with a region's name. Here you will pick where you wish to go to help the cause. There you will find clothes to suit the regions, and two beds. Go to sleep in the bed, and you will wake up in the region of your choice. He says two more words before disappearing. The words echo for a moment before the room lights up revealing your companions.

Gender: Male

Appearance: He has Green eyes but always wears Brown contacts because he dislikes his green eyes and medium length black hair. His eyes aren't too big or too small and are quite close together. His nose is quite small. It goes over one eye and kinda spikes up at the back(number 36 in this image (https://fc02.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2010/042/4/c/50_Anime_Male_Hairstyles_by_doggerland.png))He wears a T-Shirt (the pattern varies but it is normally dark in colour) and Dark Blue Jeans. He also wears a black jacket. He always wears Converse All Stars and the colour is normally a colour that goes with the T-Shirt but sometimes wears black ones.
He is mixed race so his skin colour makes him looked tanned. He is shorter then most people but not by much and he keeps his body fit but he doesn't have huge muscles.

Personality: James is someone who likes to be with people but not too many. He hates being surrounded and loves the open space. He is kind to his close friends but can be quite shy. He likes Pokemon that are caring but could protect him at any time. He has a bit of an anger problem which normally kicks in when he is lost, annoyed or confused and sometimes takes it out on people, even if he doesn't mean to.It takes James a while to get used to being with new people and becoming friends with them. He always thinks that he isn't as good as anyone else due to his brother of 20 years always outshining him.He likes most music but extremely dislikes Classical music. He was pretty smart and thought he was smart enough to get him by. James can be very thoughtful in calm situations, thinking things out , but when he gets irritated or the situation is 'heated' he acts very hastily, not thinking things through before he does something.

History: James grew up with his brother who is 3 years older than him, his mother who is very protective and his father who worked as a house designer. His father was injured when James was 9 due to a house he was designing falling in on him and permanently damaging his legs. Ever since his father has been in a wheelchair. This made their mother always be too protective as she didn't want anything to happen to them. His brother and James were close but his brother would always outshine James. James had always had a passion to be an explorer with Pokemon but his mother had always told him it was too dangerous. He has always lived on the beach and most days he stares out to the island wondering what is out there. At the age of 10 he vowed to himself to go out and search the island.

James grew further apart from his brother as his brother went to the city to study music a year before 'Team Obsidian' pitted the regions against each other which made his brother have to live there until the regions were brought back to peace. Their Mum always taught them to chase their dreams but when James told her he wanted to search the island she told him 'You can't do that because it is too dangerous.' James wanted to prove her wrong. He goes to uni and studies languages on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays but he works on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. This leaves Sunday for his free time which is normally taken up by studying. He does this so he can afford to explore the island

Name: Jennifer "Jen" Glais

Gender: Female

Age: 19

Appearance: Jennifer is about 5'6" and has a small tan. Her hair is light brown and medium-long hair. Her hair covers one of her eyes. Her Eyes are a deep blue color. Her face is rather average. Her teeth aren't bright white, but they are still pretty white.
Normally, she wears some jeans and flip-flops. Along with this she wears a white short sleeve shirt and a grey jacket. In the tropical beach she wears flip-flops, a pair of shorts, and a white t-shirt.

Personality: Jennifer is an extremely shy person. She is very quiet unless she is with family or close friends. Ever since the tenth grade, Jenn has been trying to become more outgoing, and it has kinda helped. In situations that require she can communicate really well, but otherwise, she is more likely to listen than to lead.
She is a very happy person that is as optimistic as possible. And she is easily amused, making her easily distracted. Along with this, she is really clumsy, and it seems to follow her every where since everywhere she goes, she seems to knock something over.

History: Jen was a relatively normal person. She had just graduated from high school, and was applying for college when she was brought here. She is an only child, and her father died when she was about 5 years old. Because she is so shy, she spent the first year of high school with only a couple friends. Her grades were okay most of the year, getting mostly B's.

Hey there, everyone!

Name: Kerri Sumaney

Gender: Female

Age: 24

Appearance: At five foot tall, 100 pounds, Kerri is shorter and thinner than most people. Despite her size, her body is solid with lean muscle. Her skin is pale white, like someone who doesn't get much sun. Her eyes are large and bright red, while her nose is small and round. Her hair is white and reaches her shoulders. She prefers to wear it in a ponytail, but leaves the bangs covering her forehead.

She always wears long clothes, prefering white shirts and black pants. She also wears a grey vest, with a purple tie to add some color. She wears simple white running shoes with grey socks, and ties her hair with a purple hair tie. Her pants are black leather, with a black leather belt wrapped in purple fabric.

Personality: As her clothing style suggests, she has a simple and cool personality. She is quiet and a bit of a loner, prefering to stay under the radar. Despite what people may think, she is not depressed or sad, actually happy and friendly, but in a subtle way.

She is quite intelligent and analytical, but lacks social skills. She enjoys puzzles and games (for the mental workout), running and exercise (letting the steady rythyms drown out other people), and drinking (her main vice. She is a bit of an alcoholic.)

History: Kerri had a rough childhood, a single child in a poor family. Her parents worked differant shifts, so she only spent time with one parent at a time. Her mother worked nights, making Kerri stay quiet during the day so her mother could sleep. At night, her father liked to bring friends over, making her stay out of the way or fetch them food.

In school, Kerri was shunned or mocked due to her looks and personality. Counselors tried several methods of getting her to fit in, but they mainly failed or backfired. People mainly came to her if they wanted her to help them with something, but she aprreciated any positive interaction.

When she turned 18, she moved to the city, getting a small apartment and a variety of jobs. She has worked at stores (both as a clerk and in the back), as a food server, and briefly as a mail carrier. When she turned 21, she rediscovered the drinks her father enjoyed and occasionally shared with her, drinking them daily. She is content with her life, letting it take her where it will, always ready for something new.

Name: Joey Bronx

Gender: Male

Age: 18 and a half

Appearance: Joey's hair is a pale shade of bronze, with bangs cut short recognizable by the M-shaped cut in it. He wears a dark blue headband that covers the whole upper region of his hair. He has hazel eyes that is almost always half-closed, casualty of his relaxed nature. His nose is pointed at a strange angle (in a good way xP). His build is semi-athletic; not exactly six-pack, but not scrawny either. His left tendon area has a 12-year old scar on it, for reasons unknown. His legs are thin and muscled, and because of this he's very fast when running.

His casual outfit consists of his favorite dark blue headband, with a black shirt and a dark blue open-middle vest. The bottoms often vary depending on his mood, but most often he is seen wearing black or white baggies. He also puts on a bead necklace that his grandmother, who lives in the Jungle, made for him, and a piece of open-fingered black bracer that he puts on his left hand. His only shoes are black combat boots, which he fished up the beach when he was 8. However, it hinders Joey's favorite aspect of himself (his speed), so he often goes barefoot.

Personality: Relaxed and drawn back, Joey is usually oblivious to whatever goes around him. He is also not a very good person to confide in, as he rarely listen to what he considers a "blabbering," which is really just a talk that doesn't involve him doing the speaking part. It's very hard to get him in focus. He seems to get a distinct pleasure in seeing others acting dumbly. However, Joey always keeps his thoughts to himself if he thinks that the listener wouldn't like what he is saying. Joey is very persuasive when he speaks; he has never failed to embarass people who dares to argue with him.

When you get Joey to crack and get angry at you, he will use snide remarks and words to ashame the offender. He doesn't like it when someone thinks that they're better than him, and will often do ridiculous stuff just to disprove the claim. However, he will never use his fist when his words will do. He stands up for what he believes at times, but most of the time he lays low and keeps to the shadows.

History: Born as a single child to a set busy parents, Joey doesn't have anybody to socialize with. Although his childhood was showered with toys and luxuries aplenty, he hated that life and envied anyone who wasn't locked up in a room with a bunch of lifeless friends. His grandmother sometimes visited and kept him company, though. When he turned 16, his house was broken into and he caught the thief. The thief begged Joey to let him go, because he needed the things to feed his children and wife, and wouldn't have done it if he didn't have to. Joey felt pity of the burglar, and did as he asked.

After his 18th birthday, which his parents forgot, as always, Joey decided that it was time for him to be independent and free from the chains that bound him for 18 miserable years. He came to the thief who broke into his house 2 years ago and asked him to teach him how to survive on his own. The thief consented, because Joey basically saved his family from starvation. After learning the necessary skills, Joey set out by himself to gamble with his life. Though he never got into stealing, he has nimble fingers that he found very useful to do lockpicking for people who got lost keys to various things - house, treasure chest, things of that nature - and earned himself a bit of spending money and a small apartment in the outskirts of the beach.

Additional information: He can open locks and things, and is naturally very quick. He is also a motivational speaker.

Appearance: Trevor has dark, deep green eyes, almost to the point of black. He has elevated cheek-bones, a triangular chin, and short, spiky, black hair. He constantly wears a white puca shell necklace around his neck, even when sleeping. His face is a lighter tanned color, along with the rest of his body. He stands at a staggering 6' 10. Other than large arms and shoulders, the rest of his body is relatively bulky. He always is wearing a black sweater, but it is never zipped, and, usually, the sleeves are rolled to his elbows. Underneath the sweater is a plain white T-shirt. He always wears a thick leather band and black watch on his left wrist, but nothing on his right. He also wears dark navy-blue athletic shorts. Black and white sports shoes with dark green laces, mimicking his eyes, surround size 17 feet.

Personality: He is constantly relaxed, and, even through stressful situations, keeps his relaxed demeanor. He isn't lazy, however, and is always motivated and self-sufficient. He is not the most outgoing person, but isn't reserved. However, many people, including his friends, have a hard time getting him to talk about himself because he often responds in short, hasty answers, or reflects the topic back at the asker. He, by nature, prefers to listen, and if someone wanted to learn about him, they would have to probe. He is of above-average intelligence, but sometimes people mistake him for being a stereotypical "jock" because of his love of sports. He enjoys friendship, but has his streaks of obliviousness. Once you get to know him, he opens up more. He is a silent leader and protector.

History: Lacking a father figure throughout childhood, he was jealous of others that had fathers. He, being a relaxed and quiet person, didn't express his jealousy, and as the years went by, he started to not be as jealous as he once was. He had no idea where his father was, and neither did the rest of the family: Mom and his much older sister. His mother was often gone, working, so he spent time he had at home with his sister. Much of his time was occupied by sports, due to his natural ability. He was very good at what sports he tried, and this made him well-liked with his peers. His general gentle and relaxed demeanor also contributed to his reputation. Even without a father figure, he still had a relatively normal childhood. Although he didn't need to try hard to be liked, he still felt socially awkward for only being able to relate to people through sports. He liked Pokemon, but never had the time to spend time with him. His sister's Pokemon were a part of his family, but he never had any of his own. (Until now)

Name:Björn Bergmann

Gender:Male

Age: 21

Appearance: Taller than most Björn is 6'11" and weighs under 230 lbs. Thick brown hair flows over his eyes but is cut shorter in the back. A single, long scar stretches down his temple to his cheek, the result of an accident that killed his foster family and childhood friend. Björn's Lean build fits his lifestyle of living in the shadows, moving from place to place in search of nothing more than a meal and a bed. Although trained in armed combat and heavy armors, Björn prefers lighter leather armors and chain mails.

Personality: Björn is cold, secluded, and generally cynical. His personality is likely a result of an accident as a teenager that left him near dead and his entire family killed. Not much is known of the specifics of the accident but it seems that Björn knows more to the event. Björn was well known in his home town but was presumed dead with the rest of his family during the accident that everyone else thought to be a cave collapse but rumors claim that there was more behind the cave in than just poor mining techniques.

History: At age 5, Björn was taught to fight. At the time his city had been under constant attack by marauders and wild pokemon. His home city was in a region far away from Aurora and no-one from Aurora has seen his home city and seldom heard of it.

At age age 15 he was sent into the mines that retrieved the precious metals and stone that built the city. His home city was located high in the mountains which are rich in coal, iron, gold, and most importantly: copper. Copper had brought the city to life at night, giving the people of his city the power of electricity. The coal retrieved from the mines went to the furnaces that burned the coal for energy that was used to create electricity. The pride of his city was a gun capable of firing arcs of lightning. The city, armed with 100 of these god fury's as they were called, became invincible to any opposition. The city experienced a period of prosperity and the population exploded. Within a decade the city had expanded and thousands of mines had been dug. Nearing the end of their prosperity Björn had been in the mines. Recently mines had been collapsing, killing hundreds, for seemingly no reason. It was during one of these collapses that the section of the city that his family had been in sank into the ground and fell hundreds of feet underground swallowed by the mountain. The collapse that sank his family had caught Björn and sent him deeper into the mountain than anyone had been before. He was fortunate enough to find a way out, but on the opposite side of the mountain and during a blizzard. That was the last anyone who had known of Björn ever saw him.

Additional information: Living as a rogue for most of his life has giving Björn exceptional skills in stealing, bartering, and living in the wild.
