Villainous Teams Just got more evil

I just realized team Magama From Ruby tried to Expand land and Team Aqua tried to expand the Ocean and various bodies of water and in D/P/Pt Team Galactic Tried TO make a new world and also tried to destroy the world. So I Thought How come Team Rocket Dosen't have a Massive plot than just stealing pokemon or enslaving a city or cutting numerous slowpoke tails? Because the only real Successful thing they did is clone Mew but even though mewtwo escaped they manage to make massive damage. So is team rocket the most pityful team of all or they just have a more massive master plan?

I think that, as the generations progress, the teams get more evil. The next thing you know, another evil team will try to take over the universe. And then they'll want to take over every universe...that means that there could be even more powerful Pokemon. Though that's just me, they could have other thoughts of what to do.

In the show Pikachu owns Jessie James and those regular Team Rocket people easily.I remember an episode where Cassidy and Butch were working for this old guy to steal this pokemon or something.First Pikachu owned their Ratticate and Tyrougue and then Ash tells Pikachu to use thunderbolt on their ship and then it blows up.The only real evil is Paul.
His hatred is bad!Who hates a Chimchar.That's like so rare in D/P/P.Well only as a starter.

Well you can't compare it with the anime since it was only imo really crap, but I love the villains in the game and manga since they aren't retarded villains except for Cyrus

I actually thought TR was the only believable bad team. Increasing land mass? Increasing water level? Wtf kind of goals are those? That's part of the reason I could never take Gen 3 seriously at all. Then Galactic wasn't much better. They never seemed... relevant, I guess?

TR was at least all over the news--people in Kanto and Johto knew they were bad. They were heartless and did things only for profit and personal gain. I actually found them to be a lot more "identifiable" as a gang. Identifiable in the sense that their goals weren't way over the top. How the heck do you pitch an evil plot like "LET'S RAISE WATER LEVELS WORLDWIDE LOL"? :( You would never get ANY followers. Not realistic in the least (lol logic in Pokemon games) and thus I never found them or Galactic all that evil. Just mere plot devices.

Like everyone has said, Team Rocket is more evil because their goal and gains are actually realistic in a way. Team Galactic was pure nonsense. Team Magma and Aqua are more like extreme environmentalists than an evil organization.

And let's not forget that Rocket were at least remotely successful in their goals (namely reaping millions through their casinos and that robbery in Cerulean).
The player never defeats them outright and they remain this shady underground organisation. Surely, they became fragmented after the events of G/S/C, but they never actually disbanded (not as far as I can remember at least).

I completely agree. I mean, cutting of Pokemon's tails MUST be evil. Most people probably think Team Rocket isn't THAT evil because of Jesse, James and Meowth. I mean, come on, they've been trying to catch Pikachu for years, and yet, they never succeeded.

Team Magma and Team Aqua are kind of merciless too, in my opinion. I mean, if there isn't any water in the world, how will we live? And if the whole world is filled with water, we'll all drown.

Team Galactic's goals are just impossible. I mean, destroying the world, then creating a new one? Impossible.

Cyrus had good intentions, as well as Max and Archie. Cyrus wanted a better world. Max and Archie did it for the Pokemon.

Team Rocket is just plain vicious. They killed Marowak and cut innocent Pokemon. They held the director of the radio tower hostage and even had an imposter. They tried forcing a Magikarp to evolve into Gyarados. Gyarados went into a rage over it. Hence the name Lake of Rage. It's red symbolizing anger and rage. They even tried causing a power outage in Kanto in GSC. Who knows what would have happened if you hadn't got back that part to get the magnet train to work again? They could have shut down the entire region and sell electricity to make a profit. Team Rocket is hardcore. (Anime doesn't count.)

If anything, the villains have gotten softer.

Well, in the Pokémon world, worshipping a Legendary Pokémon isn't really uncommon.

Who cares about the rest of the world when you can control at least one half of the Pokemon world with money? That's how the mafia rolls. They don't need nukes, they just need to manipulate everyone else to do their bidding.
