Who is your favourite Pokémon protagonist from these four options?

  • Red

    Votes: 45 48.4%
  • Kris

    Votes: 31 33.3%
  • May

I love to see Kris getting some attention!

The clear winner was Red. 14 vote gap on the forum, and another 6 vote win on Twitter. Mr dotdotdot had a scare in the first final round but he's looking ominous now.

So what about 2nd place?

On the forum: Kris by a mere four votes over May... (sorry, Akari, you were left in the dust here).
On Twitter: even between Kris and May! (Akari was only one vote behind here).
The google form poll: Kris had one more vote than May (and the same number of votes as Red, actually. Akari matched May meanwhile).

Ergo, Kris also goes through to the final! May did well but just fell short.

-------------

Unfortunately this was the second time I noticed some cheating on the Google form poll. Egregious, actually - a lot of vote spam happened. Not very smart vote spam because everything gets time stamped, so it was easy to see how there were multiple groups of many identical votes within the span of a few minutes. As such, I've simply discounted all those votes and left in the non-cheating ones. (In case someone did happen to make a legit vote during those times, sorry, but it wouldn't have changed the result.)

So moving on I'm making email/google account mandatory for that poll shared on some of our social media platforms. More annoying, but I'd rather not ruin what is meant to be a lighthearted event by people cheating the system!

Next time limit it to one vote per ip address like our friends over at johto times.

Anyway congrats to Red
