Hector Arcturus
Jubilife City
Former HR Base, Rooftop

Hector proceeded down towards the lower levels of the former Human base. There were Pokemon all across crying out victory cheers and smiling about. Hector felt like smiling too, after all, this was his first victory as a commander, but he felt it would violate his protocol to show that kind of emotion. He had already garnered the reputation of a hard-ass, and he would like to keep it that way. He'd rather be respected than feared, but he'd also rather be feared than looked down upon. Pokemon stopped and acknowledged the Commander as he passed by them, either with a salute, or if they were incapable because of their special, a short bow of the head, followed by a "Commander" or a "Sir". Hector nodded back in a show of respect to each one who had given him the same. He would always give the same respect he received, he would always treat everyone the same. But that doesn't mean he's nice to everyone. He's the same, stern, hard-ass to everyone.

Hector reached the main hall of the building. Tons of Pokemon had gathered in there, and they cheered and roared once Hector walked in. They began cheering for Pokemon, for the PokeRebels. Hector settled them down and began speaking.

"All right, all right, settle down. Today was a good day for us. We got our first major city taken back from the humans. We have shown them one thing. We are a force to be reckoned with. This means from here on, every battle will be tougher. But we will prevail, nonetheless."

Hector stopped to the sound of cheers. He settle them down again, and spoke, this time in a more serious tone. What he was about to say wasn't something he wanted to say, but he knew he had to make it perfectly clear.

"But I want to make one thing clear. We have a known enemy, and that enemy is the human. Every single one of them. I have heard reports on the battle of Pokemon and humans on some occasions associating with one another. This....is no less than an atrocity, and can be deemed as much as treason, something we PokeRebels don't take lightly to. Therefore, those who do, be warned. You won't get a second warning. If you are seen with a human, the necessary steps will be taken. If I see you with a human myself, though, I will rip you apart where you stand, as if you were a human yourself. You have given up these liberties when you decided to join the PokeRebels. If you don't like it, you can leave, but you're no friend of ours. Humans, ALL humans, are the enemies, and we will give them what they deserve by the end of this war."

There was less so cheering from this part of the speech.

"Dismissed." Hector said, and the Pokemon dispersed in random directions. Many stayed in the mess hall. Hector spoke to his assistant, who he saw in the area, a Sandslash named Procter.

"Procter, good to see you're well. Have a group of Pokemon list all those that are Killed in Action or Missing in Action. Those that we have found bodies for, make sure that all are received a proper burial. Also, locate where General Khufu is. I wish to speak with him."

Procter nodded and saluted as he left Hector to perform the necessary commands. Hector remained in the main hall, observing a few papers on a desk from the humans.

Althalos Fizen
Forest to the south of Jubilife

Althalos slowed to a stop and leaned against a tree. He hadn't really stopped for about 15 minutes of solid sprinting. The guns seemed very heavy now and what was left of his shirt was drenched in sweat. He slid down the tree trunk and took a deep breath. He heard a crooning in the sky and saw noctowl calling out because it saw him. Althalos picked up his sniper, took aim and pulled the trigger. The bullet hit it's wing and it fell to the ground. Althalos, thinking he was lucky to have hit it at all stood up, weakly grabbed his things and walked over to where the noctowl had fallen. The owl pokemon was laying on the ground and it called in alarm as he approached. "I'm sorry." Althalos tried to calm it down. "I just didn't feel like you telling every one where I was." Althalos picked up the pokemon and forced it to stand on it's feet. The bullet had gone clean through it's wing, leaving a somewhat large hole. "I don' think you'll be flying again, but I can at least stop the bleeding. Altahlos reached for another strip from his shirt, but then remembered he had gauze in his small medical kit. He felt stupid for having wasted enough shirt that half of his stomach was showing. He grabbed the gauze from his bag and wrapped some of it around the pokemons wing. He tied it off and ripped it with his teeth. "There you go," he patted the pokemon on the back and stood up, and walked away from it. "Thanks... I think?" the noctowl called after him. With that done, Althalos started heading East through the woods.

Khufu leered at the enemy General. No words broke from his mouth, and they didn't need to. His fury was captured quite well with the look on his face.

The silence was pierced by a gunshot, and yanking his head back, Khufu saw Althalos, not far away, lowering his AK-47 and running past the two Generals. Khufu felt a hand scratching his ear, and part of his fury crumbled away. Sensing calm returning to him, Khufu's face softened and he nodded quickly at Ali before turning and sprinting away. His reasoning returned with his calm, but his harsh soul would never go away. As he slowed to a jog, his thoughts remained on his embarrassment. His face was warm, his eyes squeezed shut.

Attempting to hide his feelings by grinning, Khufu walked into what at dawn this morning had been the HR base, heading for the main hall. Unsurprised at the sight of Hector sitting at a desk, studying a stack of papers, Khufu spoke. "Good to see you, Hector, sir. Sorry for... ah... showing up a little late."

As usual, Hector's face was stony and emotionless. Khufu found it slightly unsettling for some reason, and he swallowed hard, maybe for some other reason, as he continued, gesturing at the papers, "Is anything of note in there?"

The shock of seeing her former friend had worn off and Silence was back to her old self. She noticed Lydia in Eevee form come in followed by a Reuniclus with what looked like guns melded into its hands. The psychic-type was looking around at the other pokemon as if he was way above them and Silence promised herself she would put him in his place some other time. Right now though, she needed to talk to Lydia. The Weavile walked up behind the transformed Zorua and said quietly so only she would hear, "You looked pretty comfortable with that human earlier. I don't think Hector would be to happy if he found out."

By now, the Eevee was wandering around the building, talking with some of the members though not many. It was usually easy to blend in, but she was feeling somewhat nervous after the Arcanine's speech. As she was talking, she noticed Silence walking towards her and she turned around to face the Weavile.

"You looked pretty comfortable with that human earlier. I don't think Hector would be to happy if he found out," she whispered in Lydia's ear. Her red eyes widened. She had let her guard down, and her fear was immediately replaced with anger. Her Eevee ears folded back in discomfort. "Your not trying to threaten me, are you?" she asked, still smiling put a frown slowly forming over her face. The eevee sighed. "Ok, what do you want, Silence? Obviously you caught me. What are you going to do now? Just turn me in?" She was trying to be quiet, but it was hard since she was irritated.

Althalos was her friend. Lydia couldn't just abandon him like Hector wished, and she couldn't turn on him like his Typhlosion once did. She was in a corner she couldn't get out of. Lydia felt like running away, fleeing, but she was trapped. Just her rotten luck.

"Your not trying to threaten me, are you?" Lydia asked, still smiling but a frown slowly forming over her face. The Eevee sighed. "Ok, what do you want, Silence? Obviously you caught me. What are you going to do now? Just turn me in?" Silence could sense the irritation in her voice. The Weavile shrugged.

"I don't make threats when I won't get anything out of it. As for if I'll tell the commander... that depends how good your excuse is," she replied. "If I don't see any reason to tell Hector, I won't. If I see reason to tell him, I will."

(OOC: Sorry about the short post. I wasn't sure how to make Silence's reply any longer."

Lydia chuckled, no longer frowning but grinning. "In all honesty, I have no excuse, but I can assure you it will be no issue, since the human is partially fighting for our side. As long as he has a feeling of friendship between me and him, manipulating the human is just as easy as making friends with him. I've already had him betray his own kind just for me. And I'm sure that I can get him to continue to aid the PR. If I have to, I'll get rid of him, but that would be a waste. You can tell on him if you want. I won't stop you, but you won't get a reward from him for turning me in either."

She turned around without waiting for a reply and began traveling back to the room she had picked up medicines from earlier. The Eevee also, surprisingly, picked up a bag on the way.

Khufu and Ali stared intently at each other, and it was impossible to tell which one was more angry. Just as Ali was wondering if he had the strength to battle, a gun shot and movement to his left caught his attention. Both generals turned to see Althalos run past them, and their fury diffused.
Khufu nodded at Ali and ran back towards the city. Angry as Ali was, he was honourable in fight and refused to attack when his enemy's back was turned. Khufu and him both deserved each other's full attention in battle; any less would be cowardly.

"Althalos!" Ali shouted, remembering the sniper who'd run past him. Ali limped to the young fighter and held out a hand. "Good to see you're alright, man. Are you injured?"

Ali blew his hair out of his eyes, looking back at the city. "I'm going back in, to find survivors. I'd value your company, Althalos."

Hector Arcturus
Jubilife City
New PR HQ

Hector looked over some papers. There was some minor things he was concerned about, but he wouldn't want to disturb his troops with it just after their first major victory. He was interrupted by General Khufu. Besides a few minor times, this is the first time they have spoken face to face.

"Good to see you, Hector, sir. Sorry for... ah... showing up a little late."

Hector nodded at him, and responded.

"General."

Khufu spoke again, a hint of nervousness in his voice. Hector approved.

"Is anything of note in there?"

"A few minor details, but we'll get to that later. I wanted to chat a bit with my second-in-command. We have never actually sat down and talked very much since I have become commander, and I feel it necessary to understand your position and feelings on this...conflict. So if you wouldn't mind, I'd like to hear your story. What brought you here? And when you're done with that, perhaps tell me your specialties."

Hector's mind was always working, so he asked all his necessary questions up front and all at once. He was interrupted by another Pokemon who came up to him, and introduced himself.

"...I've been looking forward in meeting you, Commander. My name is Rumble, and I want to help Pokemon... with the war."

Hector looked over Rubble. He had the air of a true fighter in him. Something told Hector he had just picked up a good new fighter. Hector nodded.

"Welcome to our base in Jubilife, Rubble. I am Hector Arcturus, Commander of the PokeRebels. This is General Khufu, my second in command. If you wish to be apart of us, you answer to us."

Rubble spoke again.

"Ah.. also I'd like to bring up a subject that's been bothering me. Have you confirmed the safety of this building for the new PR base? Because I don't think the humans would leave without a twist. And the Pokemon, having no way of tracking spying devices... it could be a great deal."

Hector eyes narrowed at Rubble.

"We have spies scouring the building for human devices that seem misplaced or unusual. That is the best we can do at the moment, there is just too many other things to deal with, like taking care of our dead, and finding out the casualties and who's where...Unless you happen to have means to help, then by all means do so."

Hector didn't wait for an answer from Rubble. He turned his attention back to his General, awaiting his answer to his questions.

Rumble glanced at the Flareon standing next to him. And then stared back at the commander, who didn't return the stare.
It seems the commander is too busy right now. The safety of the building is not his first priority... I can see he's made for war. But something is still bothering me.. Maybe I should look into it after I made my own base.
He levitated away. The talk between the commander and general was none of his business. Right now he needed a place to stay, to get out of all this fuss. He'd never been with so many Pokemon in one room.
Finding shelter in the sewers was a good idea but he didn't know if he could handle it. Rumble got out of the building, he saw a bunch of Chanseys tending to the Pokemon that survived. That was the only movement he saw.. Perfect conditions.
The green-maze Pokemon walked towards the TV station...

Lydia chuckled, her frown turning into a grin. "In all honesty, I have no excuse, but I can assure you it will be no issue, since the human is partially fighting for our side. I won't stop you, but you won't get a reward from him for turning me in either." The Eevee turned and walked away without waiting for a reply.

Silence frowned. Lydia's alibi did sound plausible, but the Weavile sensed there was more to it. For now though, she would let it be. But if she ever had reason to believe the friendship between the Zorua and the human would hinder the PR, she would tell Hector.

Silence went back to her corner and fiddled with the cloth on her wrist. It was blue, just like her head feather. She still remembered when her mother gave it to her as she was dying. It was all Silence had to remember her by.

She brushed some dust off the velvety cloth than crossed her arms. Though the Weavile had a hard time admitting it, she thought she might be getting soft. Not long ago she would have reported Lydia immediately, but now... she scowled. 'Snap out of it. You're only learning to be more reasonable' she admonished herself and leaned back against the wall with a quiet huff.

Althalos Fizen
Forest South-east of Jubilife
heading back towards Jubilife

Althalos had put some good distance between himself and the now occupied jubilfe city. He had been walking since he had shot the noctowl down and it had been about 15 minutes. Althalos thought he was about half way to Orebourgh when he remembered something important, at least to him it was. Althalos had a sudden burst of energy and turned around in a full on sprint. He covered the distance he had walked in a few minutes and then came to where he had laeft the noctowl, which was no where to be seen, but tehre was a small pool of blood which hadn't been absorbed by the dirt so he knew he was getting close. Althalos didn't stop sprinting until he reached the main street of the city that lead in from the south. On his way out, Althalos hadn't paiud any attention to his surroundings, but this street was littered with bodies, all human. The pokemon bodies seemed to have been removed, but piles of dead soldiers were scattered on the side of the road, which was now more dirt than anything. Althalos got an idea and walked over to one of the dead soldiers who still was gripping his gun. Althalos gently removed the gun from the mans stiff fingers and took off his helmet. He shoved as much of the barrel as he could into the chunky street and set the helmet on top of the butt of the gun. Althalos did this with every gun and helmet he found. He turned around to see what he had done. It looked like an army of sentiant guns holding their ground against anything that might come at them. Althalos looked around and saw one last soldier leaning against a wall with a blood splatter behind his head. Rather than a gun in his hand, he had a picture. Althalos looked at it to see the dead soldier with a group of people who looked to be his family. Althalos took the picture and found another gun. He put it in the front center of the other ones and put the mans helmet on it. He pulled out his sniper and turned on the flame thrower. Althalos aimed it at the ground and started writing on the ground with it, leaving scorch mark letters on the ground. When he was done, it said "for those who gave their lives for something that shouldn't have happened." Althalos made it his personal mission to find the family of that last soldier and give his family the picture. Althalos turned around, not glancing back and slowly started walking to the former HR base. On his way, he saw Ali, who had called out after him before, but he hadn't stopped. "You wanted something?"

The Eevee searched around for medicines, however since this was the previous HR base, only human medicines were found in every room she checked. She growled in frustration. Humans couldn't heal as fast as they could, nor did they have as much medication. Obviously they wouldn't have any pokemon medicine in the building. Lydia gave up after about 10 minutes of looking. There wasn't much to do in the HR Base other than look around or chat with random pokemon about the war and their first victory; which really wasn't what she wanted to be doing.

After awhile, the small pokemon headed to the roof. Not as many pokemon were there, and the silence pleased the Eevee. Lydia just wanted to stop and think. She looked off the edge of the tall structure, gazing at the sky and occasionally looking down at the ground. Chanseys were all over the place, picking up injured pokemon or picking up the dead. She continued to look around, and saw the Reuniclus from earlier walking into the TV station. What was he doing?

She also, surprisingly, could see Althalos and another human in the distance. Althalos appeared to be heading for the HR base...

Ali Krista
Jubilife City

Ali was shocked to see Althalos ignore him as he had done. However, Ali shrugged it off, thinking that the poor boy probably had had a traumatic day. Ali walked through the city, through the masses of human and Pokemon corpses alike. His eyes closed, he took a deep breath. They'd have to come back for the dead later; the survivors were more important now.
As Ali walked, he began to recognise faces of men he had fought alongside. The Wartortle he had fought lay on its back, its shattered shell soaked in blood. Opposite him was the corpse of a soldier, female. Her neck was broken and there was a gaping wound in her head, blood splattered unceremoniously on the wall behind her. The sight turned Ali's stomach.

After a while, Ali had begun to notice something about the bodies. It wasn't something he could put his finger on immediately, and it took him a long while to recognise the issue at hand. Suddenly, he ran to the nearest body, searching his uniform. He did the same again and again, and came to the final conclusion that there was something wrong; none of them seemed to have guns.
Ali was completely nonplussed. Had the pokemon raided the soldiers? What would pokemon do with guns, don't they have enough weapons? Ali's thoughts was numb, and so he allowed the queries to settle at the back of his mind while he still had a job to do. He had seen a few men with pictures of their family, hanging loosely in their cold hands. The thought chilled Ali's blood, and he very nearly dropped his gun there and then, to return back to his little house on the beach. His siblings must be missing him terribly.

Ali continued walking, and in his trail of thought he almost collided with Althalos, coming in the opposite direction.
"You wanted something?" The boy asked, his voice shaking slightly.

"What? Oh, yes...Uh..." Ali replied, slowly returning to reality. He looked at the young sniper, who seemed ...odd, even for a minor in a major battle. "...Are you alright, Althalos? You seem a little... on edge."

"Yea, I'm fine, just tired. I sprinted half way to Oreburgh city, then I remembered something." Althalos caught his breath. "I also just did that." Althalos pointed to the army of guns, but didn't look. "I have to go and see the..." Althalos caught himself. It was something slightly personal that he might get in trouble for, so he tried to generalize it. "I'm heading towards our former base here." Althalos said and dumped a little water from his canteen over his head. "You're the one that seems on edge, Mr. Jittery." Althalos gave a half-hearted laugh and dumped the rest of the canteen over his head. He grabbed another from a soldier and saluted to the corpse to show respect, and took a long drink out of it. "If you don't need me for anything, I'll be on my way." Althalos started walking slowly away, so he could hear an answer if Ali did in fact need him.

Rumble
Jubilife City
TV Station

Rumble's enhanced senses were on the lookout. He greeted some passing Chanseys with his worn-out smile he hadn't use in so long and made sure they couldn't see him, when he walked in the building.
He found human bodies in there as well. Not one survivor to squish. He did some investigation on the hall - he didn't find anything interesting apart from an opened computer with a smashed screen, with an internet page. The employee who was now chilling on the floor now was probably communicating with someone. Rumble traced signs of a human communication device in the PC. He had knowledge of this stuff when he investigated the Oreburgh Laboratory/Warehouse.
He did find something - a video was apparently transfered from this computer to another one in Oreburgh. This could be interesting. I might be proven right. Let's see what we got here.. I'll just transfer this video in this CD and watch it later... but now I got to focus on my own plan.
Rumble turned around and headed for the elevator, levitating above a TV camera broken into pieces...

2F. It was a mess there. But he found what he was looking for right away - a working communicator, some talkies, microphones and speakers. Rumble unplugged the machine and carried it on his shoulder, while taking the other things and sliding them through his liquid.

Outside
Eevee Form

She had ran through the base by now, and went outside through the doors. Glowing a red light, the Eevee grew larger, taking on the form of a Chansey as the light shattered off her body. Planning to figure out what Rumble was up to, the pokemon walked through the streets in her disguise, heading for the TV station. It would be easy for her to sneak inside. Lydia glanced at the other several Chanseys on the streets. It was a sad sight, as many of them were mending to the wounded or picking up the dead. Once in front of the building, she looked around to make sure no one was watching her, and allowed the illusion to crack into pieces. Lydia looked for an opening to get into the building. She had forgotten why she had the urge to spy on the Reuniclus, but she was already outside, and figured he was already somewhat suspicious. She looked around for a few moments and climbed through an open window on the second floor.

Using her illusion abilities, the Zorua made an image of a clear room as she crept through. Her power was lessening, but by now she was inside, and saw Rumble playing with some of the human devices while sliding them into his liquid body.

"What is he doing?" She thought to herself, never seeing any pokemon behave so strangely. "He acts pretty odd for a pokemon I just met half an hour ago."

She was ready to leave when her dark aura was drained from her previous power, the illusion fading. If she didn't leave, she would be spotted.

"S***."

Lydia faced the back of the Reuniclus from the other side of the room, and with a quick dash, tried escaping from the window, almost slipping as she pulled herself up the wall. It was stupid, sneaking on the pokemon in the first place, but she wasn't in the mood to chat with the guy about why she did so.

"Yea, I'm fine, just tired. I sprinted half way to Oreburgh city, then I remembered something. I also just did that." The sniper replied, pointing behind him to a heap of guns.
"Ah, so that's where they went..." Ali muttered. He could see something scorched on the ground, but from this distance he couldn't see what it was. He wasn't sure he wanted to.

"You're the one that seems on edge, Mr. Jittery," Althalos gave a little laugh, which Ali reciprocated half-heartedly. "If you don't need me for anything, I'll be on my way."

"No, no. Just wanted a hand finding survivors, but if you're busy..." Althalos had walked away when Ali had registered what he'd said. He tried to shout after him but he was too far away to hear, so Ali pulled out his radio.

"Althalos, what do you need in the base? It's gonna be teeming with cocky, celebrating Pokerebels. Be careful, will you?" Ali hung up the radio and walked towards the scorched letters.

"...For those who gave their lives for something that shouldn't have happened." Ali read aloud, before looking back at where Althalos had disappeared. The wise words of the 14 year old wrenched at Ali. This was no place for such a young boy. But then again, Ali was barely older. Althalos was right; they were fighting a pointless war. But he couldn't leave it. Not with a family to protect.

Ali kept walking through the war torn streets. He looked around for movement, hoping to see some survivors. He carried on walking and, not looking where he was treading, tripped over something on the road. Ali scrambled to his feet to see the crumpled body of his Luxray, lying awkwardly on the pavement. To his surprise, tears sprung into Ali's eyes, and he knelt by the side of the pokemon he once had dearly loved. "I'm sorry," Ali whispered softly, his hands on the blood-soaked fur. "Really, I am."
Ali stood, his jaw set. Seeing his old friend seemed to strengthen him, for reasons he couldn't explain. The general walked on, adamant on finding Jack.

Alex ignored mark's question. "You could have answered me ya know." Mark revved the engine and did a U-Turn drift around Alex and sped off. There was rubble and dead soldiers everywhere, it was war alright, but war is never a pretty sight. Mark was thinking about everything that happened at this battle, it stuck in his head, all the death and destruction. The street grew more cluttered eventually preventing the F1 from going above 10 mph which was a pain, he wanted to speed, to get up to the 241 mph top speed. Althalos was blocking the road ahead, causing mark to slam on the brake to drift to a sideways stop. With the car in park, Mark climbed over his two unconscious passengers, Wade and Elixa and opened the suicide door. Now he was on the opposite side of the car as the fellow sniper. "Would you like a ride anywhere before i leave?"

Althalos reluctantly refused the offer for a ride in the exotic car. Before the war, he had loved cars, the sound of a powerful engine, the sleek shapes of the exotics or the powerful boxy shapes of a muscle car. He saw Wade, passed out in the passenger seat but ignored him. There were some things he refused to do, and one of them was release a pokemon in custody. "On your way out, could you please watch for the guns that are up right with the helmets on them? Respect the dead." That was all Althalos said and went on his way. As he was walking, a shiny object caught the light of the setting sun. He walked over to it and picked it up just as Ali radioed in to him. "Althalos, what do you need in the base? It's gonna be teeming with cocky, celebrating Pokerebels. Be careful, will you?" Althalos ignored it for a moment, looking at the object in his hands. He slipped it over his wrist and admired it before calling in. "It's personal, and thank you General Obvious, of course I'll be careful; I'm young, not stupid. Besides, I just found something." Althalos said. He looked closer at the object. Someone had actually taken time to make something from a video game. Althalos tensed the muscle in his forearms and heard a slight click as the muscle pushed a button. A seven inch long, steal two-sided blade sprung out of a crevice underneath his hand. He removed pressure applied pressure again and the blade sheathed itself. This find excited Althalos and he sprinted the rest of the way to the HQ.

As Althalos approached the large building, his excitement dissipated to be replaced with a stony, emotionless expression. All the pokemon he passed looked at him with not resent or hate, but surprise that a human would just walk up to the base. He ignored the looks and the pokemon just stared, not moving to attack. Althalos walked up to the door of the building and gave a cold stare to the nearest pokemon, a swampert. "Take me to your commander. Now." Althalos ordered the pokemon. None of the other pokemon moved, but the swampert walked through the sliding doors and Althalos followed. They walked up a few flights of stairs and the swampert led him to a door. "H-he's in there." The pokemon sounded confused and a little worried. Althalos tossed his sniper, knife, revolver and AK-47 to the ground, but kept the hidden blade on his arm. He walked into the office to come almost face to face with an Arcanine, presumably the commander. Khufu was in the room as well. Althalos nodded towards each of them. "General, commander." Althalos said, knowing well that his being there might be the end of his life. He looked the Arcanine in the eye with a cold stare that he hoped matched that of the fire type. He was extremely nervous, but he wasn't actually scared. "Before I actually do anything, I would like you to know, commander, that if it seems like I respect you, it's because I do. Not because you are stronger, or bigger, or older than I, but because you rank higher. All I came here for was to ask you a question, commander," Althalos said and waited for a response.
