Was Pokémon the first video game you played?

Original, old school, Pokémon Red on my Pocket Game Boy Silver. Had no color but I didn't care, that was the first time Pokémon touched my 5 year old heart.

Nope, it was either A Link to the Past or Super Mario All Stars. I don't quite remember which one by now, I was what, 5 or so. But pokémon hadn't been yet released the first time I grabbed a SNES controller.

No, but kinda. I have always been an animal lover and enthusiast, so as a child I was obsessed with animals of any kind. Growing I started being afraid of insects and spiders, but i m still curious about them. Anyway, this is just another story lol. So my first game was Dolphin Island for Nintendo DS and I really loved it, despite i used to find it pretty hard lol. I m not even sure I completed it. Anyway, my second game was Pokémon Diamond and I loved it and since then I fell in love. The thing is that Dolphin Island was another kind of videogame genre and I mean, i liked it because there were animals lol. Pokemon, instead was a good way to get introduced to other games of the series and later to other kind of games. The impact that Pokémon Diamond had on me is nowhere near my truly first game. I m not saying that just because Diamond was my first Pokémon game, but simply because I think it was my first approach to the video game in general. Fighting, the story, catching pokemon. Even tho i basically just skipped many things in my first run, beating the game spamming Surf with my beloved Empoleon lol, it was the approach I had with Pokémon Diamond that made me understand what a videogame was. Dolphin Island was fun for me just because there were animals lol. Tbh i didn't have much fun playing those mini games. Idk if what I m trying to say it's clear, but like that's my experience

Now that I look back, it's quite hard for me to remember which was the first video game I ever played, considering back in India at the time, pirated CDs were all you could get your hands on. \\, and in most occurrences, these CDs woudl just be loaded with a whole ton of Demo versions of several popular video games like WWE, Hulk and so forth. However, the first game I truly spent hours on was Claw, a 2D scroller platform game by Moonlith studios,
