Also, if they expand the sea, how would the humans and land Pokemon live? Would land Pokemon suddenly evolve to have gills and would humans randomly become mermaids/mermen?

And if Team Magma expands the land... Where would Pokemon and humans find water that they need to survive? Where would the water Pokemon live [most live in the ocean]?

I never understood Team Aqua either. Team Magma just wanted to expand the landmass, not covering the entire world with land (or at least they didn't seem to at that moment), which is a great solution against overpopulation. They are at least a little understandable.

Actually, by this point I think they just wanted to take water from the ocean and then put it all back into the ocean for the sake of satisfaction... xD

My Kyogre already HAS a swimming pool. Comes with a slide too... *looks into the backyard*

Though having a pool for a backyard was a bad idea... We have two cats- a regular black cat and a pure Siamese. The Siamese once fell in at like 1 AM and eventually got out [she did not like getting wet though]. And Siamese are SUPPOSED to be the smart breed...
