15 No, I'm sure they'd edit those out, sadly xD

Has anyone decorated their Home Menu with Pokemon Badges from Nintendo Badge Arcade yet? I haven't had them available in mine yet, probably for the best as that might just suck me in!

About like 18 hours until Super PMD! WHO IS HYPED UP?!

Adding to what Tara said, the reason it shouldn't be possible is because the difference in coding structure between these two generations is insanely huge. If I recall correctly, this was one of the main reasons that Generation III had trouble connecting with the first two generations, so naturally it would be even worse in Generation VI's case. They would need to do a ton of reprogramming in R/B/Y to make it trade-compatible with the newer games, which would be even more unnecessary effort for a game that's completely outdated.

I'm not sure if they could just copy and paste the code to make it compatible with the 3DS, it's a completely different device. I'm no expert on this, not at all, but maybe they have to code everything all over again. I'm pretty sure FRLG were made from scratch too.

And another three months for it to be released here. :/
It's going to be hard to avoid all spoilers. Story is what really distinguishes PMD from the main series and hence very important, don't want to be spoiled about that.

21 I'm not getting it, personally but I'm glad you guys are hyped :>

ALL BOARD THE PMD HYPE TRAIN! :D

I sadly won't be able to get it in a while, but that isn't gonna stop me from being hyped for it, haha. :P

I'm no expert either, but I sadly doubt that's possible. It's that the entire programming itself is completely different, meaning the way they read data, as well as the type of data they read should most likely be different as well. :/

Yeah, I'm gonna try my best to avoid reading about the story. However, I wouldn't mind spoiling the features just so I could know what to expect in terms of gameplay!

Out of curiosity, what makes Super PMD remind you of GTI? I've never played GTI, but I heard the main problem was the severe lack of available Pokémon (and starter choices at that), which Super PMD seems to have addressed.

I could care less for the lack of available pokemon but it had hardly and story annnnnnd it was super easy Super PMD isnt really all that different its still super easy and the story isnt really as developed although i still have to play the entire game i will admit though that it will be better than GTI

I am excited because it has ALL 720 Pokemon [though it would be awesome if you can go to treasure town and/or town square in the previous mystery dungeons].

Oh has picking your gender been confirmed yet?

26 I know next to nothing about PMD lol Can you play as any pokemon or?

Get ready to be converted into a PMD fan... JK.

Well, all of the PMD games has this common feature- you take a personality quiz to determine who you are [exclude GTI from this], you are a human who randomly turns into a Pokemon [and has no memories other than a name and the fact that you were human], meets a partner/team member who becomes your best friend for life, lots of emotional conversations about the partner and the human, trying to figure out why you turned into a Pokemon, running as a fugitive at some point in the game, and finally stopping some world destroying crisis to learn that you will turn human once more [but you still stay as a Pokemon, except in GTI, where you have to play as the partner and make a wish to get the human back].

GTI is Gates to Infinity.

Well, the originals were Pokemon Red and Blue Rescue Team. In these games, you would turn into a Pokemon and meet your partner, who dreams of building a rescue team. You both go on rescue missions in mystery dungeons, which change the layout each time so it is different each time [Pokemon are the same though]. You have four special moves [like Take Down, Flamethrower, etc.] and can either use these special moves which run on PP or press A to do a standard tackle that every Pokemon can do [this never uses PP]. There was also a Belly feature that if you ran out of belly, you need to eat something or your HP drains out. During the story, Gengar of Team Meanies is trying to sabotage your team. There is a legend of a human who touched a Ninetales' tail and was supposed to get cursed for life, but the human's Gardevoir took the blow instead and the human abandoned it. Ninetales said that the human would be reborn as a Pokemon and the world will be destroyed. Gengar instigates that the player/you is the human from the legend and you and your partner are fugitives who go to clear your name. You also get visions of Gardevoir who tells you what to do. You successfully clear your name and it is actually Gengar who was the human from the legend. You were actually here to stop a comet from crashing into the world and destroying the world. You and your partner get sent to Sky Pillar to fight Rayquaza, who destroys the comet. Then, you get turned into a human.

In PMD Sky, Darkness, and Time, you are turned into a Pokemon and meet your partner, who wants to join an exploration guild and explore mystery dungeons. Your partner has this Relic Fragment which was stolen from him by Team Skull and you have to help the partner retrieve it. You do so and you join Wigglytuff's guild. You later end up on an exploration mission to explore Steam Cave and meet Uxie and see a Time Gear. These Time Gears are supposed to help control the flow of time in an area and stealing one stops time. There are five of these- two are unguarded and three are guarded by Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf. Apparently, an amazing solo-explorer named Dusknoir is trying to stop an evil Grovyle who is stealing the time gears. Both Dusknoir and Grovyle are from the future and Grovyle is trying to make the planet paralyzed. You end up helping catch Grovyle and Dusknoir is about to take Grovyle back to the future, when he also kidnaps you and your partner. It ends up that the future is already paralyzed because Dialga had gone insane and Dusknoir is an agent of Primal Dialga who is trying to preserve the paralyzed future [because changing the future means that Dusknoir and Grovyle will cease to exist]. Dusknoir reveals that you were actually from the future and went to the past [along with Grovyle] to stop the paralysis, but some interference caused you to lose your memories AND turn into a Pokemon. You meet Celebi, who helps you go back into the past using a portal. You and your partner join Grovyle and collect the time gears. The Relic Fragment which your partner had ends up opening a portal to Temporal Tower. Dusknoir attacks and Grovyle sacrifices himself to stop Dusknoir. Then, you and your partner go to Temporal Tower, which is the home of Dialga and controls the flow of time. As Dialga's home was being destroyed by someone, he went insane and became Primal Dialga. You need to fight him and stop the destruction. Once you do so, you save the world and cease to exist as you changed time [your partner still exists]. However, as Dialga was technically in your debt, he brings you back. This then goes to part two of the story, where there is a space distortion because you and your partner messed with time. Palkia kidnaps and tries to kill you, but Cresselia saves you. It ends up that Darkrai was actually the main villain all along- he was responsible for Temporal Tower, the space distortion, and also attack the player/you and turning you into a Pokemon with amnesia. You defeat Darkrai and save the world.

I don't remember much about GTI. That game wasn't as good as the older ones. PMD Sky set the very high standard for future PMD games because of the story line and the additional contents in it [there are some extra chapters, like you learn what actually happens to Grovyle when he sacrifices himself].

I think Arrow has summed it up pretty well (haven't read all of it because of spoilers though), basically you start the story as a human turned into a Pokémon, which is one of the starters or some other available Pokémon along with your partner. During the game you can recruit wild Pokémon and add them to your team. Later in the game you can ditch "yourself" from your party and play as any Pokémon you've recruited.

So... There IS a gender option. You are asked if you are cool or cute [then same for partner once you choose the partner]. I wasn't paying attention and made myself a male Torchic named Ruby and a female Pikachu named Storm. Later, I saw the notched tail and realized that Pikachu was a female, so I renamed us both as Axel [Torchic] and Lightning [Pikachu].

Also, this PMD is MUCH harder than the previous ones. I was like omg*&fg%#g%! in the first two dungeons. I am not joking. Looking back at all of the older PMDs, this is much, much harder.

30 Oh I see, it sounds interesting! But i'm more interested in a new main game xD

Each to their own I guess. I really liked PMD ever since I first played it.
