Ir is confirmed that there will be no new eeveeloutions in Sun and Moon unfortunately. In a Japanese trailer, an eevee was caught and on the new Pokemon screen, there was only 8 evolution spots.

Ah, I see! Thanks for the info. Even though they won't be making it to Sun & Moon, maybe there's still hope for them in a later generation!

So I finally hatched a Sandshrew in GO and aaaah, I'm so happy right now! :D

Oh goodness, what have I done? o_O

Make sure not to evolve your new overlord Sandshrew. :P

Talking about Eeveelutions made me think of another topic!

Are there any type matchups that you wish could be changed? We know that some types have many more weaknesses than others, so I'd like to know how you guys feel about this!

75

Honestly any self weakness like Dragon being weak to Dragon and Ghost being weak to Ghost doesn't make a whole lot of sense; as a STAB move using that type would deal 3.5-4x damage. That means if you get hit by one of these moves; it's almost a guaranteed OHKO or 2HKO so long as the pokemon attacking has a level roughly equal to yours and uses a move of sufficient power. (Real Level; battles in which your Pokemon are all downgraded to Level 50 make this harder to read as the differences between a Real Level 50 and are only in EVs and Stats)

But yeah; weakness to it's own type seems to really cripple some types. Dragon especially suffers this problem as well as being specifically targeted as being weak to the new Fairy type.

The weaknesses and resistances of Fairy type in general are also a little strange; and I do not think they are logical, nor do I like that they are what they are. Feels like they specifically are using this type to offset other types that _don't really need_ offsetting and give other types a leg up that don't need one.

^maybe you should look into why its weak to Steel then. Very interesting. And poison i mean technically everything should be weak to poison but fairy is based on fairies which are usually talked about irl so theyd be killed with poison irl i assume.

Anyway please look at this snowy Sandshrew

The Fairy-type is weak to Steel because fairies in fairy tales are weak to cold iron (steel and gold), and they are easily killed by steel weapons. And fairies in fairy tales are easily poisoned with common things like salt.

On a positive note, I love the new Exeggutor form, and spent a solid five minutes laughing at it. It was the first time in recent memory that I laughed so much at something to the point where tears were streaming down my face.

And now we got revise hyped again xD. I guess we gotta go and get him some poison pink ice cream now.

80

I want some ice cream too! What kinds of ice cream do you people like to eat?

Myself I adore a good Cookies and Cream flavor~

81.

I love Cookies and Cream as well! :D Mint chocolate chip used to be my favorite flavor, but now I think I like strawberry ice cream just a little bit more! And it's kinda sad, because apparently pink ice cream is associated with poison at the Pokémon Trivia section...

As for the new Alola forms, I'm still genuinely surprised at them! I would never have expected any of the old Pokémon to get new forms outside of Mega Evolution, haha. I guess that reduces the reason to abuse the Mega mechanic for every Pokémon! :P

82

I literally never eat ice cream. Im a sherbet person :P But i do have french vannila ice cream on top of hot apple pie :D

84

Yeah I find that crunchy things in ice cream are not usually things that add to the experience of Ice Cream in general. I don't wanna have to chew my ice cream. Usually how that goes is you end up swallowing all the ice cream first and then have to chew the remaining bits and pieces.

86

The complaints against how Vanillite looks are the only issue I take with people when it comes to Pokemon opinions. How is a Pokemon based on an ice cream cone a less creative design than a Pokemon based on a pile of sludge. Muk is far less inspired than Vanillite is.

87

I actually love the entire Vannilite line. I think alot of people just say they hate it to follow others that say they hate it xD I mean its not a bad pokemon! I loved it in my unova run and like astinus said its more creative than muk and a bunch of other pokes :3

88

The Vanillite line are based on icicles with snow covered on top anyway so the complaints about them being "ice cream" are silly. The only Pokemon that I can think of that actually are food are Cherubi and Bounsweet.

Well in other news i was watching this and it almost seems believable :o

For those 3 concept arts i like all of them but littens. I mean yes Fire/Dark is cool but it looks like a fire/fighting. Lets just keep litten 4 legged D:

YES. Rowlet's final evolution is definitely my favorite of the three! I hope Ash gets one in the anime, haha.

Also @Dedenne, are you still going to pick Litten now? xD

I'm still sticking with Popplio but I won't the deny that the others do look very cool imo.
