Have you ever met someone famous without squeeing the f*ck out?

I usually try my best to simply humanize them, because they must be thirsty of having a fan talk to them as simple people. Even online, I just replied to one musician on Reddit with a simple conversation piece, while everyone else praised the guy with cheesy quotes like "You're a god!" and crap. I can assure yu that it'll leave you feeling tons more respect for yourself.

uh I have never recalled meeting a celebrity formally but apparently I'd walked past a shop where the Kardashians were in and had the whole film crew with them. I had no idea until my friend called me out on it lmaooo

if authors count then i've met a couple famous people, yeah. i met ellen hopkins and i was nervous as fuck, but i managed to keep a conversation somewhat. i also met charles benoit (three times), suzanne collins, and i saw laurie halse anderson from a distance i think.

other than that, i haven't met anyone super famous. i met all these authors at this reading festival in NY where i used to live. i met charles benoit the first time at my old high school i went to in 9th grade, and then i also met him again at a writing group and got his signature..on a napkin..and then got an actual book signature from him at the festival. it was lit.

I met Steve Backshall and the hosts of Blue Peter when I was a kid, I would watch them on TV all the time so I was pretty excited.

Well not that famous, but a signer from Quebec came here and not only I went to his show, but he walked pass me, looked at me and said Hello.

I didn't expected that so my answer was

    "Allfkgjhhhhggjhhhh"

Just a couple indie devs and maybe one or two Let's Players. Can't really say those were really that famous, but they're well known in their area (German RPG Maker scene).

Dunno, there's a chance I encountered a famous person who really fits into that celebrity category, but in that case I can't recall any of that.

I've met the former Governor of Michigan and a couple of U.S. senators (one of them is now retired) from Michigan a couple of times when a couple of family members were working local campaigns.
