I'm fine with frequent articles covering recent battles or events (tournys?) from PCL. (What events do happen on PCL?) If replays are recorded in some form they can be included as well.

I would advise against naming the article series that suggests content every week, as realistically it's hard to keep up and doesn't look so good when rl crops up and prevent keeping to time. You can certainly aim to have content every week if there's enough to talk about, just no need to state it in the article itself.

Would this just be battle highlights of the week? There aren't any secondary events taking place, so why not do an article after the championship's over and feature the winner clan and some of the best matches?

If I remember correctly, the championship's only 5 weeks long. It makes sense to do a weekly article but I think that would be too frequent and a bit boring for people not interested in competitive battling.

No, I want to talk about the championship, the Battle of the week is already covered in videos. It wouldn't make much sense. I guess I can do that with the best matches... But it isn't what I'm looking for with this. I think it's a good way to give more attention to PCL.

5 weeks isn't that much, and if somebody doesn't want to read it. They don't need to, I won't force anybody.

I'm not talking about Battle of the Week since I think it won't be continuing during the championship. What I mean is all you'd have is comments on the "best" battles of each week and that would be repetitive. Perhaps you could do an introductory article covering the first week and then another one when the championship is over, and maybe another one in-between before the finals.

I'd like to help out with this. I've been meaning to look at all the replays we've accumulated over the offseason and find any decent battles worthy of analysis. But it's probably too late for that.

I don't think we should restrict battle coverage to the Championship, but it might be a good idea to have two series for clarity: one for the Championship and one for the offseason.

Also, I agree with bobandbill on the weekly release. It's better to leave that sort of obligation out of it and only make it a goal to release the articles that often. Random title suggestion: "PCL Championship II: Inside the Battles." I'll see if I can think of something better.

For inspiration, the SPL Game Analyses are great. While it might not be worth going into as much detail as that unless PCL gets some really good battles, the overall format is solid. One battle per article could work, but it depends on how many battles we find that are interesting enough to be on Daily. Obviously, we don't want to bombard Daily with too much of these articles, so confining them into one article would be good if we have multiple quality battles within a short period.

The first article on this may be just a quick summary about the event, but at any rate if you know of any particularly good battles you can raise them in here to be featured.

I've already told you this on the battle server, but over the weekend I'll look at the PCL replays to find any good stuff. As for the introductory article, we could have a short summary of what PCL is (with a link to this thread) at the beginning of each battle article.
One battle per article, at least for me... Feels a bit short. I doubt we have enough to say just in a single battle, I would say at least two, I don't know about more than that though. But with two of them we should be more than fine.
We can write up the analyses first and decide from there if they're worth splitting up into separate articles.
